- Freeze went to the library where a giant diamond was on display, but his attempt to steal it was cut short by Superboy. But Selina used the distraction of the melee to take the diamond.

- Fighting crime again, Charlie had the misfortune of running into a fire-wielding metahuman. The fight attracted the attention of Batgirl and Superboy, who joined her in the fight. Unfortunately, Charlie was knocked unconscious so Babs had Superboy bring her to the apartment she shared with Dick, who was also there.

- Superman met up with Superboy in the Mojave Desert so that they could train without worrying about hurting someone. Superboy was pretty good at super-breath, but he was having trouble using heat vision.
