Alyce did some telekinesis-enhanced free running on her way to the store, where Roy headed as well after finishing a street performance for some coins. Unnoticed by both of them was Cheshire laying in wait across the street, hoping to target Roy as he left the store. Inside the store, Roy greeted Alyce and when she mentioned Cherokee, North Carolina he told her that he'd lived with the Navajo in Arizona for a time. Alyce hoped to find some grits for sale but couldn't find any, so Roy suggested looking at a different store.

Zahira welcomed a group of museum patrons to the Egyptian exhibit. Jade became instantly curious about a belt, asking if it was authentic. Babs was there to avoid going dress shopping for the gala. Zahira answered Jade's questions, but when Arnold arrived to case the exhibit, Babs recognized him and decided that Batgirl needed to keep an eye on the exhibit that night.

Summer decided to try to lure Batman by having her cameraman tie her up to a chair at the top of a building, but her cameraman forgot to bring film for the camera, and he left her there all tied up. Cheshire was very bored, so when she spotted Summer, Cheshire decided it would be fun to mess with her and threatened her with a needle. The cameraman returned, but Cheshire beat him into submission and then killed him.
