It hadn't been difficult at all to find the location of this particular rogue's hideout. Though Victor reputation for being solitary is well deserved, he does have his business contacts - he acquires vast sums of money, he uses it to purchase the resources he needs to continue research, and the people he buys those sorts of things from have other things to sell. Like addresses. Getting such things is therefore simply a matter of negotiating a price, especially when he indicated that he has no interest in causing irreparable damage to the man he's looking for.
In fact he hopes that it won't come to that at all - not because he has any real fear of getting into a fight, but because such fights tend to take time, get messy, and cause problems. Besides, the man he's seeking he can respect as a fellow scientist, even if their respective fields of study are a vastly different subjects. He has no desire to disrupt the man's life, so long as he gets what he wants.
The unmarked white van he's riding in slows to a stop. He's not driving - not only would the driver's seat not accommodate the size and weight of his Cryo-Suit, he'd also be extremely conspicuous - instead he has one of his hired men acting as chauffeur. Shifting in his seat to get a somewhat better view of the building they've pulled in front of, at least as much as he can when he's sitting in the windowless back area of the vehicle, he asks, "This is the address?"
"Yes, boss," comes the reply.
Without another word, Victor climbs out of the back of the van and takes a quick glance around before he heads toward the building. The whole street looks fairly deserted, but that was the whole point of coming at two in the morning - he's not exactly inconspicuous, and it's best if his visit here goes unnoticed. Besides, the one he's visiting claims to never sleep, so this should be as convenient of a time to arrive unannounced as any.
Walking up to the door, he gives it a firm knock, being careful not to be too firm. He could easily knock the door off its hinges but he imagines that its owner would not be pleased with that, and it's best to not do anything to displease the man. At least unless their conversation goes poorly, in which case he'll have to do many very displeasing things.

Although Dr. Crane had made it a point at one time in his life to hide his place of dwelling, he didn’t need to any longer. He wasn’t running from anyone anymore that couldn’t find him in an instant, the moment they wanted to. Dr. Crane had the funding he needed again, he had the back, the new location and enough extra money to get him what he needed when he needed it. He wouldn’t be hard for other professionals to find, but it wasn’t often they went looking for him either. Dr. Crane had very little to share with them and wanted to converse with them even less.
Which is why when a knock came to his door he looked up from Miss Glass’s face. She sat on the stool in front of him at one of the lab tables. He had gotten into the habit of letting her be close to him while he was working. She didn’t disturb him much anymore and if anything he knew she was learning slowly by watching. She would never quite be able to do it like him, but at least she would know how to do it.
He turned his head back to her to look her in the eyes once more. His hands were placed gently, already on either side of her face as he held her still. He has been talking to her about several things that had been going on. Whispering things to her that he didn’t want to confess to the walls even. Every now and then she had smiled and blushed to show her approval, having no problem leaning into the span of his fingers. He kissed her forehead gently and then let go of her to move to the door.
Whatever mood Dr. Crane had been in at that moment dropped when he reached it. He turned the knob slowly and creaked it open. He was met with a sight of metal and glass, with a chill that he despised. Cold….Dr. Crane despised the cold. His eyes met with none other than Mr. Freeze. He had seen him in passing in the underworld but they didn’t speak often. He had no reason to speak to him, so why was he here? “Mr. Freeze..” He greeted with just his name, no underlying tone behind it. He opened the door a bit wider to show he was willing to see what he wanted. He doubted it was just to converse and if it was he would have wanted to close the door anyway.

The recent, er, developments in her relationship with Jon still seem new and strange to Heather. Then again, since Jon's already so complicated that she's never really understood him or been able to predict him, adding this new dimension to it only made it all that much more complicated so it's unlikely that she'll feel totally at ease with him soon if ever. Which she supposes isn't really that big of a problem considering the fact that Jon seems to like it when she's nervous, and she's living proof that it's very easy to be nervous and happy at the same time.
Take right now, for instance - the fact that Jon doesn't seem to be bothered by her being around while he's working anymore is a very big deal to her. She's always enjoyed being with him, but the last thing that she'd ever want to do is bother him so she'd left him alone for the most part. And she'd hated every minute of that. Now that she doesn't feel like she can't be with him, she's around him quite a bit. She still spends plenty of time doing other things - one thing that hasn't changed is the fact that all this science stuff just isn't her 'thing', so she can only stand it for so long before she'd rather do something else even if that means not being with Jon - but she's finding herself spending a good portion of her day here now, and even keeps her interruptions fairly minimal.
And whether science is her thing or not, she's learning. You can't watch an expert doing their thing very closely without learning a few things, after all, and even without his background it's not beyond her to grasp the basics. Especially the more mechanical aspects of it: if you mix this much of this chemical with that much of that chemical, it makes that thing happen - though she wouldn't be able to tell you why or what the results would be if you altered the mixture. Not that she's ever tried it herself yet, though if Jon were to ask her to hand him something she'd much more likely than not hand him the right thing now.
Not that her thoughts are at all on lab work right now. Not when she's attempting to continue to listen carefully to what Jon's saying in spite of the masses of butterflies that seem to have taken up permanent residence in her stomach, ready to swarm at the slightest provocation. And they're definitely being provoked right now - so much so that she's suspicious that it might be intentional.
Though her own mood takes a sudden shift when there's a knock on the door - something that she sees as generally not a good thing. Jon rarely gets visitors, and when he does it's someone who wants something. And he doesn't seem to know very many people who are both nice in the way that they ask and accepting when the answer is no. Not that the mere prospect of a visitor is enough to frighten her, especially since any of the absolute worst ones wouldn't have knocked, but it is enough to cause the nervous little butterflies to vanish and be replaced by worry-tainted curiosity.
Following Jon to the door, she lags far behind - she only wants to get close enough to see who it is so she knows how concerned to be. What she sees when she shifts to see around Jon causes her eyes to go wide in surprise. She's never met Mr. Freeze before, though she's familiar enough with him to know the essentials. And while she's met a number of Gotham's rogues, she didn't suppose that she'd see him - from what she's heard the man is even more reclusive than Jon is. But since the man is pretty much a complete unknown to her, she's not sure how to react, so she takes the somewhat conservative approach of remaining where she is - she'll be able to easily observe what happens and can either come closer or make herself scarce as the situation demands.

While it's immediately obvious to anyone that Victor and Dr. Crane are quite different people, they also have a surprisingly large amount in common. It's not simply that they're both scientists on the 'wrong' side of the law and a part of the same infamous group of rogues, but they also share many personality traits. Victor is just about as enthused to be here as Dr. Crane is to see him, and just as fond of small talk, so his visit here is guaranteed to be strictly business.
"Dr. Crane," he replies politely, with a certain measure of respect in his voice. Not more so than he expects in return - he rarely thinks of people in terms of status and prestige, but he does believe in intelligence, knowledge, and experience and suspects that those are things that he and Dr. Crane have in roughly equal measure. Exactly which of them is overall superior is not something that he cares to speculate about because that would be a complete waste of time.
His eyes flicker over what he can see of the interior of the building from the doorway, but he sees nothing that matters to him so the glance is fleeting and his attention goes right back to Dr. Crane. Yes, he noticed the stunned-looking young woman, but she's not who he came here to see and therefore doesn't matter unless she does something that makes her matter.
"I've heard that you've developed a new formula and I wish to discuss it," he states, summarizing his reason for being here. And that's all he says for the moment, as he figures that he doesn't need to go into any greater detail than that to be invited in if Dr. Crane is willing to have such a conversation. If not, he'll simply have to use Plan B instead. But as always his expression is singularly dispassionate, betraying little if any emotion - especially since the red HUD goggles he wears makes it difficult, though definitely not impossible, to see his eyes. But the easiest way to not show emotion is to not have them in the first place, and that's something that Victor tends to excel at much of the time.

Dr. Crane’s expression only mildly changed when he mentioned his newest formula. For a moment he seemed annoyed with the fact it was being talked about but word spread like wildfire in Gotham. Exactly which formula he was talking about was yet to be determined, but if it was the one he had been continuously working on he wasn’t sure if he was even willing to discuss it. However….
If there was any man that he would discuss it with is would have been Mr. Freeze. The mans education and knowledge in the chemical field ran on par with his own. The problem was what he decided to do with it. All of his efforts were point into a pointless cause to save a dead woman, which would surely be the only reason he came today. The fear of losing her forever drove him, but the fear of it being too late was what would crush him. The man had too many exposed flaws and in the end it would be his undoing.
Casually, he stepped away from the entrance and invited him inside. Once he was inside he closed the door behind him and moved around him again to come to his front. He was taller than him in the suit, though he imagined without it they wouldn’t be far off. The suit was a marvelous invention, created by Mr. Freeze alone. Dr. Crane respected the fact that he had done it not alone to keep himself alive and mobile but to further research his cause, even if the cause was futile. It was an unfortunate waste..if he would only embrace what was in front of him he would be a different man.
“Brave toxin is one of my newer toxins… As is the serum I used to control Starfire, though if it was claimed as mine I will have to point you in the right direction. I simply used it, the creation is not my own.” He commented as he moved further into the room back toward his lab table. He kept an eye on Miss Glass, though he didn’t expect Mr. Freeze would think much of her presence. His mind was more focused, unlike other professionals. “Those are all of my toxins that I currently have.. aside from fear toxin.” He continued, trying to make sure they were both on the same page. He grabbed a cloth out of a drawer from behind him and pulled it to the front of him. Slowly, he wiped his fingers on it for a specific reason.
He kept his sight on Mr. Freeze, staring through the condensation of the helmet and into the almost illuminating color of his goggles. The eyes were always telling to what was going on within, but Dr. Crane didn’t have to see them to know. “Unless you’re looking for something…specific.” He hinted to the fact that there was indeed something else, but he wasn’t going to just hand it to him without further motivation to do so. Not that it would have been physically possible for him to hand it to him if he wanted to. He had never written the formula or its combination down and he never planned to. The only actual evidence of it was buried in his research books, pages upon pages of drawings and specifics followed with random calculations that would seem to lead no where.

When Heather sees the machine-clad man's eyes go over her, she squirms a little in nervousness, but when that brief instant ends up being all of the attention he gives her, she finds herself quickly calming down. She's never had anyone visiting Jon care that little about her being there before. Which is a good thing, she supposes - better to be ignored than to have the wrong kind of person giving you the wrong kind of attention.
Staying put while Jon lets him in, when Jon then proceeds into the lab she hesitates only for a moment before she decides that she'd rather stay around if that's okay - which she assumes is the case since Jon hasn't dismissed her yet - and that if she's going to stay around she'd rather keep close to Jon. Not merely because she enjoys being with him but because - even if she's being ignored by Mr. Freeze - the frozen man is still enough to make her nervous but being near Jon makes her feel safer. So she heads in after him, hurrying to catch up and then moving just past him - very transparently moving herself so that Jon will be between her and their visitor.
But once she's there she appears to be quite calm - probably because this entire situation seems to be quite calm. Oddly so, given her past experiences with visitors, but then again a part of her reminds her that they're only a few minutes in - things could change. She leans against the lab table, observant and curious about this conversation.
The brave toxin she's more than familiar with - in fact the mention of it causes her to remember that old craving... Something that will forever be unsatisfied, as the stuff stopped working on her when VerMillion came into the picture. Whatever the stuff he'd used on Starfire is, she's completely unfamiliar with it. In fact, the fact that he'd had Starfire was something that she'd only learned after everything was pretty much over, and right now is the first time she's heard it said that Jon drugged the alien even though she'd assumed as much, but none of that is surprising enough for her to even react to it.

Word does, indeed, get around. Though the way that it got to Victor would probably surprise Dr. Crane. But he has no reason to divulge his source, so he'll not volunteer that information. While nothing anyone may do can cause him to feel any sense of loyalty toward anyone - except, of course, his wife - he does recognize when it's in his best interest to keep his mouth shut and this is one of those cases. But, as much as he isolates himself, he's not one to listen to random gossip - if he knows such a thing, someone almost certainly told him.
When allowed inside, he steps in quite easily. His suit looks heavier and more restrictive than it is, but after years of refining his methods and materials - as well as simply becoming very accustomed to wearing it - he can move quite freely. Though it gives him enough bulk that the doorway is a tight fit, he makes stepping through it without bumping into anything look easy, and Dr. Crane won't need to have any concerns about allowing him to move among delicate lab equipment - he won't break anything by accident.
The suit does indeed make him taller, adding more height under his feet than any pair of shoes would, and of course the dome over his head adds a little height as well. How his height would compare if you don't count the dome would be a difficult thing to measure, as it would be tricky to compare, but when he steps close it isn't difficult to see that he's not that far off from looking at Dr. Crane eye to eye, even with the suit on.
Once inside, he takes another quick glance around the room before he follows Dr. Crane further in, though not too closely - partly to avoid bumping into the young woman scampering after him, but also simply to give him some space - something else they both appreciate. The slightest of frowns comes to his face as the other man responds so evasively. It seems that he'll have to tip his hand a little more. "What I heard about was not a toxin, from what I understand," he replies, hoping that his understanding is correct, because otherwise that means that someone has lied to him.
But he'll not accuse someone of lying until it's proved. For now, he simply clarifies as best he can. "As impressive as your ability to alter the mind is, what is of more interest to me at the moment is what you know of altering the body. The technique used is of far more interest to me than your specific application. Is that specific enough for you?" he explains, though the question is asked without sarcasm. In fact, aside from that hint of irritation in the beginning, he betrays very little other emotion at all - even under the gaze of someone as sensitive to it as Dr. Crane is.
"I am, of course, willing to compensate you for your time and effort in this matter - an exchange of ideas, perhaps?" he offers, knowing enough about Dr. Crane's reputation to guess that particular offer might sound more appealing than simply an offer of money. And unlike him, with his secret formulas as such, Victor doesn't care very much about whether or not anyone else knows about and uses his research, so he's quite happy to share. His technology, such as his suit and cold gun, are a different matter though - partly because they're simply more personal to him, but also because the last thing that he needs is for Batman to get his hands on a copy of the specs.

The thought that Mr. Freeze was a stupid man never crossed his mind..for too long anyway. The man was quite intelligent to continue to survive with all the odds stacked against him. It was an impossible feat to carry out, it was one that Dr. Crane would have encouraged him to give up on a succumb to what was going to happen. It was only his fear that drove him to survive, though only a trained eye could tell. The man's frozen exterior wasn't the only frozen thing about him. When it came to even false emotion Mr. Fries had no time for it. It was refreshing.
The doctor paused with his curious remark about body altering....It seemed to spread like fire indeed. He had never intended for it to go quite the way it did But he wouldn't change how it did go if he could. The scene was far too perfect to change. The only bad thing that came out of it was the fact that He was now having trouble controlling it. He hadn't quite figured out why yet.
The papers scattered across his lab tables was enough to show he was busy with something. There was a chalk board in the back with several unfinished formulas and equations to fill. There was a missing piece somewhere and he couldn't find it, but he would.
Now that he couldn't distract the man with the thought of something simple the doctor moved away from the lab table and observed his suit a step closer. "I wasn't aware that I was known for any body altering capabilities...." He answered and leaned to the side a bit to see the side of his suit. It would have been a fascinating piece of equipment to turn into something more useful. However that would require removing the dead weight from it. After He was done looking at it his eyes met the frozen man's once more. "Unless you've been hearing people talk that should know better than to speak... But I won't waste your time as I know you find it as valuable as I do....Since it is obvious You know what you're talking about. What would you like to know?" He asked as he settled back against the table again and waited to hear just how much he thought he knew.

Listening carefully and in absolute silence, Heather's forehead wrinkles slightly at the turn that the conversation is taking. Having been with Jon for so long, she's pretty familiar with his work for a non-science person - from her first hand experience with his most infamous toxins to her newly found understanding of many of the involved chemicals, she's quick to become curious about this non-toxin stuff.
What does he mean 'altering the body'? As far as she knows Jon doesn't really do anything like that, unless you count stuff like when he cured the infection in her leg, but is that really altering the body? Her confusion grows even further when, though at first it sounds like Jon's denying the idea, instead he sounds like he might be confirming it? Or at least that it's a big secret if he is - otherwise why shouldn't people talk about it? Which means that she's hanging on every word, but why are they being so vague?
Unfortunately for her, while she was well connected to the rumor mill back when she was kidnapped during the FBI takeover, she was so shaken by the experience that she doesn't really remember that much. And it was a relatively short time after that when she was kidnapped again by Jon, and of course that's keep her well away from hearing any rumors.

As Dr. Crane comments upon how he got his information, Victor of course maintains his silence. Anything that he could say on that matter is not only unnecessary, it might give the other man a clue as to where he heard what he knows and of course he doesn't want that to be his fault.
He also seems completely unbothered by the inspection of his suit - if he was bothered, he'd lean toward worrying that Dr. Crane might find a flaw to exploit, but that's not something he's very inclined to worry about. He and Batman have been engaged in a battle of wits with regard to his suit for quite some time now - Batman finds a flaw, he builds a better suit, and the process repeats itself. And they've both become so good at that game that Victor assumes that the number of other people who could play it at their level is very few.
"I would like to know how it is done," he says quite simply and bluntly, staying in place but idly looking around at the lab as he adds, "It's a rather unusual thing to attempt or succeed at - unless you believe the tales of lycanthropy. I have no interest in that result myself, of course, but I have no understanding about how to do such a thing - merely speculations - and I may learn something useful if I did."
In other words he's grasping at straws, hoping that if he advances his own knowledge of medical science he might stumble upon something that could help him in his cause. Which isn't that far-fetched, as all sciences of the body relate to each other and to his problem somehow, even though it's still unlikely. But he exhausted everything that's in any way likely years ago, so everything he has left to explore only has the remotest chances of helping. Still, he believes that the answer is out there somewhere - he just has to find it. He can't even entertain the idea that the answer might not exist.

The silent inquiry of Mr. Fries’ suit was for his own personal information. The suit alone was indeed an interesting piece of craftsmanship. As for exploiting any flaws he knew that he could probably find some but nothing that the man wouldn’t be able to fix by quickly crushing him against a wall. Dr. Crane may have been nimble and fast and he wasn’t stupid. If he was going to work on Mr. Fries he would have him strapped in and feed toxin through the tubing in his suit instead. That would have been much better than just destroying it and watching him die.
But at this moment in time neither of them had any reason to want to resort to hostility and he doubted the man was in the mood for therapy. The man was direct with what he wanted, but the doctor had known long before he said it what he wanted. He needed to be careful with what he said and he wasn’t willing to give the information to him for no reason…At least not one that wasn’t to his benefit.
“If I had such knowledge on it why would I want to give it to you?” He asked for what he would get in return. Nothing was free in Gotham and he rarely ever accepted payment in favors or cash. Favors were better than paper but in the end people were mindless and blind. Putting your trust into anything was a ridiculous notion, let alone another person.
The doctor would have rather avoided the conversation considering the circumstances. He may have been able to explain how he had done it but in the end there was an….unexpected behavior. He was still working on the solution, so the information would have only went so far, or he’d have simply given him a way to destroy himself. It would have been an interesting controlled experiment….But it was worth far too much to him to just give away so easily, even with flaws.
He had hoped that Mr. Fries would have had something for him and didn’t come here to waste his time. He was rather busy when he interrupted. His eyes moved to Miss. Glass whom had been silent through the encounter. She was good about not speaking out of place when he was talking to other professionals. However, if he had little to offer him he would rather get back to what he was doing before.

Attempting to remain unobtrusive to the conversation, Heather finds that to be more and more difficult as the conversation continues. Their guest speaks of Jon having done something unusual, and she finds herself trying to figure out what 'unusual' means in this situation. After all, they're talking to a man in a mechanical suit as if that's a normal thing, and she'd regard stuff like fear toxin to be Jon just doing his usual. So what has Jon done that would be considered unusual.
Though it's only a moment later that she's given a reason to talk and this time she can't resist taking it. "Lycanthropy?" she quietly asks, turning toward Jon with a puzzled expression. On the surface it seems like some complicated science word, but it also seems to be strangely familiar. But what she seems to remember of its meaning doesn't seem to fit the context at all, so she figures that her memory is failing her again. And though she's always nervous about appearing stupid in front of his genius, she's not as afraid of that as she used to be so it's not so hard to ask.
Besides, if she learns some of this science stuff then she can be more useful to him, right? She'd like that... She feels like she doesn't do much around here sometimes, in spite of the fact that she often volunteers to do basically all the chores. Jon gets so absorbed by his work so much that she suspects that most wouldn't get done if she didn't step in, and there's also the problem of quality of his chore-doing; she knows better than to ever let him make food for her again, for example, and if she's going to make or get something she might as well do it for two while she's at it. But chores don't count as actually doing something with your life, so she wants to be able to do more than just take care of Jon. She's not a behind-the-scenes person. ...Or at least, she didn't used to be and doesn't like how much more difficult that sort of thing has become.

"Because if you do, then you can name your price - knowledge, money, anything I can obtain for you, anything I can do for you - there are few limitations. And if you do not, it would upset me," Victor answers very plainly. He's always been quite direct in these sorts of things, and certainly isn't shy about mentioning not just why Dr. Crane should agree but also the consequences of not doing so. He doesn't say the latter as a threat, though - he says it as a fact. It's an element to weigh into the equation. Exactly which part of the equation is up to the other man to determine - personally, Victor would call it an expense as it would be very expensive at the very least.
And it really is a clear-cut situation from Victor's perspective - though neither of them is exactly sociable, they're well enough acquainted with what the other does that he sees no point in being more specific about what he has to offer. Even though Dr. Crane may believe himself to be more capable in a laboratory - and is probably right about that in certain subjects - Victor has his own set of skills and resources. His reputation speaks for itself, and he doubts that the bit of knowledge that he wants to obtain is so precious that Dr. Crane can't pick a price for it. In fact, he might have had suggestions, but though he is familiar with what the other man is capable of he hardly understands what drives and motivates him enough to know what to suggest. Surely there's something that would be worth it to the other scientist.
So he simply leaves it at that, waiting to see what Dr. Crane decides to do. When the young woman speaks up, he glances at her, but she simply doesn't hold his interest. While he has a profound curiosity for many things, who his fellow rogues choose to associate with is not one of them.

If there was anything that the doctor wanted he was certain he could get it without Mr. Fries. It created a problem however. The problem was there was a very well geared cryo genius standing in his living room and he didn’t think he could get him to leave by asking. Dr. Crane didn’t want the unnecessary destruction of his lab. The thought of him being upset didn’t occur to him, that would be impossible. However, he could be afraid of not getting what he wanted.
“ I will tell you how it was done in exchange for the blueprints of your suit.” He spoke carefully as his eyes ran over the large contraption he stood in. Dr. Crane had no direct use for the knowledge but he knew how to use it if he needed it. Knowing it was the first step to something better and something that he could do better without him. The blueprints alone would be enough to ask for, the supplies to make it weren’t needed. The doctor had no intention of replicating anything.
He waved his hand in thought, clearly somewhere else. His eyes were scattered only for a moment before they laid steady on Mr. Fries’ goggles through the helmet that protected him. The word Lycanthropy echoed through his mind as if he had just heard it, but she had said it before he addressed Freeze. He had ignored it temporarily, lost in thought by what he was going to do. Miss Glass still had no idea what had happened that night that she was taken or the serum that he used to turn himself. Lycanthropy wasn’t exactly the best word.
It didn’t matter which way the exchange went, but he didn’t think Mr. Fries to be a man that wasn’t good on his word. Dr. Crane would do his part first as his was just information in exchange. In fact what he gave might not have been adequate for what he wanted in return, which is why he only wanted the basis of his suits blue prints. “ I cannot give you a sample of what you’re talking about because there was only one and it is no longer useable. But I can tell you how I did it. I first started by collecting DNA samples from several humanoid types in Gotham, you should be familiar with most of them. I chemically separated the DNA and infused it together with a special strain of toxin, which was the key to the entire structural complex.” He stopped there and waited for him to either ask a question or demand more information. If he wanted notes he would be hard pressed to find them. During that time Dr. Crane made a point not to write anything down and instead do it all as it came to mind. It was far too fragile and precious of an experiment to let go into the wrong hands….Especially Penguins.
The doctor turned his gaze to Miss Glass for a moment, knowing that she would be confused but he would explain it to her later. It was something he never wanted her to be involved with after she had become another experiment of his entirely.

The implied threat causes Heather to frown and glance somewhat nervously at Jon to see his reaction to it. He doesn't seem very much affected by it, but then again it sounds like he's willing to accept the deal so perhaps it's just that they don't need to be concerned at all. Then again, it's not very often that Jon seems to be concerned by anything. Still, though her frown becomes smaller it doesn't disappear entirely because she's wondering why Jon would want the blueprints to Freeze's suit. Yes, she's sure it's probably interesting, but what would Jon do with such a thing?
But she doesn't ask that question out loud, figuring that he's not likely to give her a straight answer to that. At least not right here and right now - especially since her earlier question seems to have been outright ignored. Well, if it's okay for her to stay but not okay for her to interrupt them with questions she supposes that she can handle that. Especially since when Jon starts explaining how he did whatever it is that they're talking about she can follow what he's talking about so far. She thinks... She'll find out if he keeps saying more things and they continue to make sense, though she's pretty sure it would help if she knew as much about what they're talking about as they seem to.
Seeing Jon turning toward her, the look she gives him is somewhat puzzled and confused, perhaps a little worried - but as quick as she is to give up on getting answers when Jon isn't being especially forthcoming, she doesn't try to ask him any of the questions floating around in her head. Either she'll find out the answers or she won't.
