The city was still very much incased in ice and snow. There was frost in the air and generally bone chillingly cold. Today, it was still winter, but for a fading chance the sun had peeped out enough for a little hope. Gave a little ray of light in the misty sky above. It still wasn't overly warm, but really any chance of some sun was a chance to take. So it seemed only natural Kory would seek sometime outside. The park seemed the perfect place. Not to mention the chance for a little ice skating perhaps, she was still getting the hang of it without totally crashing into the ice. Though for now Kory was simply admiring what she could. Time to really take in the fact that she was back. She had expected to be back in New York. The tower. Though a certain boy wonder or more former was here. Finding herself smile like a child at the thought. It was hard to really move away from the city. Him. When she felt this joy. It was nice. More than nice.
Even for her standards it was chilly even if her skin was able to bare it a little better than humans, she still felt the touch of ice as she pulled her hands in the pockets of her coat. It was light pink in colour and stopped just above her knees. Bearing tight jeans. This was conservative for her standards, but nicely cosy. Her hair was out and weaved around along her back, her shoulders. Bore shades to better cover her eyes. She was happy to be out as she walked the path in no real hurry, only half wished for some company to best enjoy this day. This park. Even if she did favour summer than winter. It really was a nice day. Kory then found a cart selling hot beverages with a small line. Felt the slight movement at her feet. Finding a joyous expression to her smile as she motioned to greet the little hairy beast. Harmless of cause. Felt the joy escape into a soft laugh as she bent her knees and being greeted with dog kisses. Seemed she wasn't the only one out enjoying the day. Her hand brushing the hair out of her face as it fell through her joyous laughs, before a couple more licks and before the dog was called. Kory beamed brightly watching the small creature leap in the distance in the snow. Felt her hand tidy her hair a little more before standing up again. Escaped an amused breath as she brushed the bits of dirt and snow upon her coat and jeans. Not a great deal as she motioned closer to the cart again. Ordering some Cocoa. Chocolate and hot was always a good combination. With extra marshmallows. It had been sometime since she had it, it wasn't so easily found in space. As the man asked for the coins. Kory's hand motioned to her coin purse, but failed to find the right amount.
"Oh... It's ok. Thank-you anyway."
She must of left the money at home. Shaking her head as the man held the cocoa before retreating it. Kory simply saying thank-you, no thank-you. A bit disappointed she wasn't going to have the cocoa. Before motioning to turn and finding a bench to best admire the park a little more, before finding the frozen water to skate upon.

Victor had just recently gotten a job as a freelance photographer. It wasn't the job he was going for but he went with it. It paid well, he got to meet new people, and he got to go places and see things that he loved. He only wished it was abit warmer. He was wearing a pair of slightly loose jeans, a long sleeved shirt, tennis shoes, his ever present glasses, and a German trench coat dating back to the Battle of the Bulge in WWII. More often then not he would have to tell someone that the trench coat was worn by a member of the regular German army and not a member of the SS. "If it were SS it would be black not grey. " Was what he said so very often. part of him enjoyed telling people about that fact. But it also got rather annoying at times. The reason he kept wearing the trench coat was that it kept more then just his upper torso warm. It also kept his legs warmer. Also it belonged to his ancestors. More specifically his father's father. Victor was looking around the park taking pictures with his digital camera. He was hired to get pictures for the local paper. They were doing some kind of article about "Robinson Park in Winter" Or something along those lines. Lupin the mental creature that was ever present in Victor's mind was silent at the moment. Due to the fact that Lupin was always quiet in the cold. As Victor scanned the park he saw a beautiful woman skating on the pond. He smiled at the thought of him skating.... Or rather sliding around on his butt. He lifted his camera and took a picture of her. Then after a while he noticed her petting on a dog and the dog kissing her in a way only a puppy can. He took a picture of that as well. He then took a few pictures of others in the park. Friends ice skating on the pond, people ordering a cup of coco. When he saw couples walking together along the path he took a picture of them.... .Victor then found his mind drifting back to the woman ice skating. He looked back at her and noticed her trying to buy some coco. He saw her leave without any coco despite reaching for some money.
'Go on, you know you want to.' Lupin's mental voice said.
'Why not?' Victor replied. He then walked over to the coco stand a while after the woman left. He ordered a cup of coco and said that he wanted it exactly the same way the woman wanted it. The man laughed and gave it to him the way he wanted. And after Victor paid the man and said thank you the man smiled and said. "Go get 'er lover boy." In a jovial tone. Victor just smiled shyly and walked over as close as he could to the woman without stepping on the ice. "Excuse me!" He called to the woman. " Excuse me miss..... I'd like to ask you something." He said lifting up his camera and also holding up the cup of coco. He hoped he wasn't getting in over his head. He did it quite often.
'Your the only reason I'm able to speak up isn't it?' He asked Lupin.
'You bet.' Was the mental reply Victor got. Victor went ahead and put on a nice smile. Which was hard for him because he wasn't quite used to talking to people. Unless it was based on his job. He was gaining more confidence as time went by.... But it was still hard for him. So he waited for the woman to notice that he was calling her and to skate over to him. He swallowed slightly and hoped she didn't notice.

Strapping her rented skates to her feet as she sat upon the chilled bench. They were white in colour, Kory guessed to best match the snow and the white all around. Breath. This wasn't something she had done in sometime and not a great deal. She could cheat as she can fly, but not easy when eyes are upon her. Just don't fall down. Either way she was sure to find fun on the ice. As she made her way on towards the ice after dusting herself of the snow sprinkles. Felt her first leg slide off and glad the other one followed. So far still on the ice. Kory felt the extra chill of the ice below, it spread out before her in one massive plate of crystal. It was quite magical. Picking up her motion when she found balance, keeping it basic and steady was best.
Kory was then enjoying the best of what Gotham had to offer. Skating good until the little change in the ice, causing her ankle to be unsteady until there was nothing else than to trip and fall. Not hard enough to break the ice, but sure caused her to laugh. As the ice then cared to sprinkle her more with snow as she fell on her behind. Then she began to get up which was harder with the ice being a tad slippery, but eventually made it. As she brushed herself off again. She heard something in the air. A voice. She didn't know it was for her, but it was enough to take her distraction. She looked around her. He was looking at her. Calling to her. She couldn't help the curiosity, but who was she to deny the company. Kory then at first a little steady, skated over to him. He seemed harmless enough. As she met the edge.
"Greetings, its a lovely day isn't... You wanted to ask me something? Ask away... Oh and I'm Kory... You are?"
Kory expressed happily in tone. As her green eyes sort over his own soft features. Friendly remarking the pleasant day. Her hand toyed her red locks out of her eyes, offering him a keen smile to know what he wished to ask. She had little hide. Unless it was something she wouldn't know the answer to, She knew Earth, but she didn't know it that well. She'd least try. After all he took the effort to ask her from this distance when he could have asked those closer. She then forgot her manners a little caught in his eyes. As she offered him her hand as she gave him her name and very much wished to know him. He was someone knew, she was sure she would have remembered him had they met before. If they had she would have to put it down to an honest mistake and sure she doesn't forget again.

He watched her skate over to her all the while trying his best to suppress his urge to laugh at watching her fall on the ice. When she came up to him he smiled.
"Yeah it is a nice day. I'd like it to be a few degrees warmer but other then that its wonderful." He said smiling. He looked at her and noticed that there was something...... Different about her. Not a bad different. More of a "she's not from around here" different/ He started to speak again but froze up slightly when he realized that she was looking at his eyes. He couldn't help but looked back into her's but he tried not to stare. He felt a lump form in his throat and then after a few seconds he finally managed to say.
"I..... Uhh........ I............" He gave a quick laugh. "I saw that you tried to buy some coco." He said and raised up the cup of coco he had in his hand offering it to her. He then tucked his camera under his arm and shook her hand. Then he realized something. "I'm Victor. Its........ uhhhh....." He was starting to choke up again. "Its nice to meet you." He finally forced out.
"I was also wanting to know if you were OK with the pictures I took of you. I'm taking pictures for a article they're doing in the paper and I got some of you and wanted to know if you liked them." He said holding the camera nervously with both hands. He smiled and realized he wasn't as cold as he was before. He also realized his hands were shaking slightly. The lump i his throat was back. He also thought. 'She probably thinks I'm weird.'
"You think I'm weird don't you?" He asked with a slight laugh. He didn't know why he asked. He also didn't realize that he said it until a few seconds later. He then noticed that her eyes were green....... Greener then any eyes he's seen before. He always had a habit of seeing smaller details in a person. And he was feeling incredibly nervous now because of that habit.

Kory noticed how he had watched her, so he defiantly was calling for her. She barely took in how he dressed. It just wasn't something Kory focused on. Its just clothes after all. Besides she was quite taken by his kind face. His eyes. His seemingly friendly emotions. Which caused to give him a smile. Kory escaped a friendly joyous laugh, it flowed out of her lips just enough. As he mentioned he'd prefer the weather warmer and she quite agreed with him. Maybe he also enjoyed the summer as she did. Really who didn't? She wasn't laughing at him nor was she nervous. Then as soon as he stopped speaking, he watched her again. Really taking her in as if he had never seen her, five minutes earlier. Kory was no fool to know she stood out. Still he held his stance and in some way she could see it didn't give him cause to up and leave. Was he blushing. There was something that reminded her of Robin, even looking into this man's eyes, she knew they were different men.
"I myself much prefer summer. Much better to sun bath in. It feels nice. The sun on my skin.... Maybe we'll cross paths one day when it is summer. We can enjoy it together."
Kory expressed kindly to him. Seemed they had something in common, the sun. Which felt nice and warm now, but she did prefer summer. A little easier to lay down and sun bath in. Kory also like the less clothes, as they felt rather restricting and inhibiting. Kindly thought of sharing the brilliant sun. Her smile expressive to him. Before watching as he uttered to get some words out. Which Kory felt cute and sweet. Only wishing to encourage him to speak his mind. Her lips expressed a slight friendly surprise as he held out the cocoa to give it to her. Finding that really selfless of him. Kory before taking it, she took a step off the ice. It was a a little unsteady towards him. Finally finding a spot more stable in the snow and next to him. To best see him closer. Offering him a smile as her hand reached for the cup, her fingers slightly brushing his and pondered were they maybe shaking a little.
"That's very kind of you to share. Thank-you... Victor. The pleasure is mine"
Kory expressed happily to him. Bringing the cup to her lips. Let it out a small sound she enjoyed it. Nice, warm and sweet. Both the cocoa and him. Smiled a little with her teeth as he took her hand into a shake. As she was patient for him to get his words out. Her green eyes didn't stray very much. Then made to the camera as he mentioned it. That she hadn't expected. She was a model and a superhero. She was used to it. Her eyes saw his hands shake. He looked a little flushed.
"Sure, no it's ok... I'm a model so I've had the photographs shot... May I see them?"
Kory reassured him, she was quite fine he had taken photos of her. Asking kindly if he would let her see his work so far. The photos he had taken. As her hand motioned a little towards his camera, but she hadn't much clue how it really worked. Her eyes then almost looked concerned when he asked if she thought he was weird. Had she done something wrong? Said something to make him think that. As she shook her head. Not really understanding.
"No I don't think that... If your uncomfortable, we can sit down?"
Kory responded honestly before suggesting they sit down if she was making him that uncomfortable. Offering him a smile. Taking another sip of the hot beverage. It helped warm her insides. She let undone a couple of buttons. Revealing slightly a lighter top and a little more skin. Feeling his kindness as he kept his eyes upon her. Maybe she was weird to him. Then she didn't think weird was such a bad thing. Kory was very accepting of who he was. With every nervous laugh and every shy remark.

"No I'm not uncomfortable." He said with a smile. "Its just I'm not used to talking to people like this. I usually have some help but I don't have any today." He said alluding to his constant mental companion. But he figured they just met so she wouldn't know.
Then he saw her drink the coco. "I'm glad you like it." He handed her the camera and said. "I got a few pictures of you skating, with the dog, and at the coco stand." Then Victor realized that when she took the coco their fingers brushed. It was only momentary but it was enough. The lump in his throat was back. He looked back at her and let his eyes wander over her quickly. He looked back at her eyes. Which he felt was the most beautiful part. He smiled kindly and ran a hand through his wolf grey hair. And then pushed his glasses up on his nose. Then after giving her enough time to look at the pictures he asked. "So......... uhhhhh.................. Do you......... Do you like them?" He was starting to get frusterated. He was doing so well before why is he nervous again now? Of all times NOW? He just went with it and figured that if he could at least get the words pass the lump in his throat he would be doing well. After a while he decided that it would be ok if he sat down next to her. So he did and he tried to not seem nervous. He wasn't so sure if he was pulling that off though.

Kory let a reassuring smile towards Victor, happy to know he wasn't uncomfortable or she hadn't unsettled him. Feeling the slight chill to her cheeks, not making her go pale as orange doesn't really go that way. Her smile turned to a little concerned. As Victor said he wasn't used to speaking to certain people like her. People like what? Exactly? He couldn't of realised she wasn't human. Oh. As she then shifted her sunglasses back over her eyes. From what Kory could tell he wasn't as open to his emotions. She felt his nerves towards her as if each word and action she was going to quickly shut that door on him. Her face relaxed as he did open up a little and that never was a bad thing.
"If your in need of assistance, maybe I can help? You are quite charming, somethings take time. The more you open up, the better you'll realise you feel."
Kory asked kindly. If she could help she very much would. Complimenting how charming he was. Wishing to encourage for him to give a little more, the more comfortable she was sure he'd become. As her now shaded eyes so not give away her pupiless tamaranean trait. Took another sip of the cocoa. Smiling half shyly herself as Victor spoke. It was a kind voice. With her free hand took the camera as he offered it to her. It was a nice looking camera. Her lips peaked a joyous smile, though a little nerved to see the pictures he took. She made way a little over to the bench. A little way through the snow with her skates. Flipping the camera around. She searched through, pressing the button to flip through them. Her cheeks a little red as though even after this length of time modelling she did still get nervous, but she did enjoy it. Finding herself smiling and even softly laughing. He really had an eye for this kind of thing. She then half rested the camera on her lap. She finally pulled off her coat, placing it upon the bench beside her. Her eyes searched Victor happily as he coyly asked her. Even repeating a couple of words. Maybe he did need the cocoa. She smiled to him as took the seating beside her. Before she handed back his camera.
"Wow. They're really good. I love them. How long have you been a photographer? What may I ask is the article about?"
Kory expressed happily with the slight brush of fingers again. She hadn't been so short as to catch his faint blushes before. Curious as to what the article was and why he chose to take pictures of her. Taking hold of the cup again. Taking another sip as her eyes danced gently upon him. Her hand catching her hair to place it behind her ear.

Victor liked her smile. It was nice and gave him the feeling that he could talk to her. The only problem though was that he was having trouble saying anything. Just as he was about to once again try to force the words past his the lump in his throat again he was saved. Though Kory didn't know....... Victor had a creature living in his mind. Also a friend.
'Alright Victor I'll help you. I'll lend you some confidence and just tell her what you want to tell her. If you have trouble just give me a signal and I will tell you what to say.' The deep mental voice of Lupin said.
He felt a slight tingle when her fingers brushed his. He smiled "Thank you I haven't been a photographer very long. About a month or two. Also I was told that the article is about "Robinson Park in Winter" Or something like that." He said with a slight smile. "I took pictures of you because you showed just what I think of when I hear the word "park" pure joy and happiness." He said with a grin. Then he couldn't help but ask. "Your not from here are you?"
Mentally he told Lupin. 'Thank you. But next time step in sooner.'
'Awwwwww, but then you wouldn't have been able to learn your lesson." The mental wolf said.

The humming silence was a little happening upon this bench. With the crisp blow of winter breeze to help cool the ears. Kory took another good sip of the cocoa. She would have to pay him back. That was the way it was on earth. It was also the ways of her kindness in ways. She hadn't been easily given anything since she was a child and princess of Tamaran. There was little to no chance Victor even knew. Even if he hadn't a clue he was close to her name. Koriand'r. Yes, that was her name. Even though Victor was silent, she could feel a lot churning in his mind and almost hitting at his tongue. He was thinking of speaking. More he wanted to speak, but hadn't the right words to put them all together. She kept a simple smile towards him. She moved her gaze towards the ice lake. It was blue and white all over. It was quiet, but more were coming to enjoy the parl. Even a sweet older couple were in close embrace upon the ice. Happy. Joyful. It made her smile a little brighter. The sun rose a little higher. Peaking through the trees that over hang the bench. Melting the ice. That it fell in little sprinkles on the bench and on her lap. Brushing them off, she could almost smell spring around the corner. Her feet mashed a little in the icy ground, to envision grass in its place.
Kory realising she hadn't really seen Gotham in summer, she hadn't seen a great deal. It was mostly passing through or visiting. Now she felt that need to stay. Earth was her home now. She had spend a small time in Africa, before she found Donna or more she found Kory. They were really almost sisters. Kory smiling at the thought of her best friend. She had thought about Dick Grayson more than she should of. She couldn't leave her thoughts from straying here and it didn't take long to find him. Now with no titans. No Tamaran. Though her hope he still loved her never did cease.
So now given the time to see Gotham more it was beautiful in its own way. It wasn't New York and it didn't have the tower, but it was special. Kory's looked back to Victor as she settled a little more within the seating. Wondering who he was listening to. Kory could read emotions as any tamaranean could. Kory didn't know what, but she felt him listening to something she couldn't hear. Maybe he was just over thinking things and speaking to himself. Whatever it was, he still seemed a charming man. Peering over to him as he did finally speak. As he took back his little machine. Spoke of his profession. So it was something new. Something he seemed rather good at. Kory was used to being in front of the camera, not behind it, but knew enough as Donna took most of her pictures.
As he spoke and she listened. Kory began undoing her skates. The park in winter? Well it defiantly was in winter. As her eyes scanned the area around them. Her orange fingers slowly pulled and un-looped the ties. Having put the cocoa to the side of her on the bench. Her cheeks then blushed a gentle deep orange as Victor told her the reason he had snapped her pictures. It was very sweet. He was very sweet. He couldn't see as she was sure he didn't know. The irony in his words. She from Tamaran after all. They were a joyous race. Kory hadn't been compared to a park before. As her eyes scanned at a couple of happy folk across the park, she couldn't of agreed more. It was a very nice compliment. Sitting herself up straight in the cold dark bench. Victor then asked her a question. Well almost statement that he knew something even if no one told him. Again with the Irony.
"You really have a gift. You see people. Capture moments... Oh, why thank-you, Victor. That's really sweet. I do like a lot of joy in my life... Do you need to take more pictures? Oh. Look there! Isn't that just joy and hope all in one?"
Kory expressed kindly to Victor. He really did have a gift. To only just started, she gathered it was a natural gift. Which was to see someone. In a lot of pictures she had taken in the past were well put together, but there pictures were her. Very good pictures and moments a little more something to them. As she then thanked him for his words. Curious if he needed to take more. Whether of her or another. Felt it kind of cute how much his eyes kept upon her. She then pointed out the couple rather romantic skating on the ice before them. It did speak joy and happiness. Also hope. As she had leaned in a little to better point them out, before sitting back into place.
"What gave it away? No. I'm not from Gotham... Just visiting really. A friend of mine. Mostly have spent my time in New York... Gotham isn't New York, but Gotham is defiantly growing on me. "
Kry asked with a not very well used sarcasm. Was he already realising she wasn't human? Yet he looked upon her in a slight wonder and a kind manner. Pulling her coat off, she set it down beside her. Revealing a pale flowing top, showing a little more skin as the sun is now peaking more out of the clouds. Before taking another sip.

Victor didn't realize how much he was looking at her. He was grateful that Lupin finally stepped in to help. But he still felt rather nervous. He guessed it was just something about him. Even though Lupin could help him he couldn't change him. He needed a mask for that to happen. When she pointed out the old couple and asked about if he needed more he smiled.
"Well I guess getting more couldn't hurt." He said getting off the bench and kneeling down onto one knee looking through the lens of the camera. It looked almost like he was aiming a rifle. Though the presence of the camera ruined that illusion. Then after taking the picture he stood back up and looked at the picture. Then he sat back down with a satisfied grin. "I'd say that looks good. How about you?"
Then he thought about the best way to answer her question as to how he could tell she wasn't from Gotham. He decided to go with what sounded simplest to him. Only because it would be easier on him........ At least he hoped it would. "Well I'm not from around here either. So I look at Gotham through different eyes." He said. "You seem abit......... Well........... Less like someone who has spent there whole life here." He said then he started to think about how that sounded.
To Lupin he asked. 'That sound good?'
'Look my friend. You said it so role with it. As you seem to be fond of saying.' The mental wolf replied.
'If anyone else could hear you we would have a hard time explaining that we're friends.' Victor replied but he was keeping most of his attention on Kory.

There wasn't anything wrong with being looked at. Not even with this much, that Victor seemed to be doing. It really depended on the stare and what was really behind it. So far Victor's staring was yes, a little over the top, but she could feel it was all from a good place. There was something warm and inviting about his eyes. His smile. He hadn't the up bringing as she had. With that thought. Kory almost laughed. If he was a tamaranean she would know it. No orange skin. No red hair and defiantly no green eyes without pupils. She was also seemingly taller than him. She couldn't feel the powers that she had. Even if starbolts wasn't really something a tamaranean is born with. She was tortured and experimented upon until they were created, but the energy they drive from was her energy. These starbolts were apart of her now. Even if they can be destructive. They flowed as did her blood.
Kory smiled softly as Victor agreed to take more shots. Even getting off the bench. Kneeling in the snow. Pondering if his knee was now cold? There came the point of the camera. Watching how his hands held it with such strength. There was least something she knew he was confident with. If he could hold a camera in that fashion. Kory was sure he could learn to hold a woman as well without causing a wave of butterflies. She expressed a soft little laugh as he then moved quickly back to the bench. Looking at the back of the camera as he asked her.
"Is the ground a bit chilly? Here, let me see?... hmmm, not bad. Not too bad at all. Can I have a try? Please?"
Kory sweetly commented amusingly commenting where he had just kneeled. Her hand motioned to his knee where he had forgotten to brush the snow. Motioning her hand slowly yet with purpose. Before she asked to see. Nodding as she then approved. It was defiantly joy and happiness in the park. Most defiantly. Kory looked at the camera, asked nicely if he'd allow her to try with pressing the buttons. It well, looked interesting. There were quite a number of interesting things to take picture off other than just her. As she settled a little more in the bench. Her hand motioned to fluff up her hair a little. Watching as he seemed to contemplate his next words. As he did with all his words, so far. His words did intrigue her. He wasn't from here either. Where was he from? Different eyes? Kory couldn't help to smile and look into them again. They were something else. Kory was sure in someway one could tell that of another. That she hadn't lived in Gotham all her life. If she had she might have had a little more grim view on the world than her more joyous view.
"Where are you from? What brings you to Gotham?... No I've not spent my entire life here. Although I don't think one needs to in order to find a home there. There can be more prominent things that make some place or even someone a home to another. "
Kory intriguingly asked Victor. Where was it that he grew up? Where he learn his behaviour and the things he may still believe in. Why was he in Gotham? Wasn't photography a sort of everywhere job? Gotham was beautiful. She liked the sculptures and the old feel of the city. She still preferred the life of a place like New York City. She really like Tahiti, it reminded her a great deal of Tamaran, especially the heat and had visited when she could to feel like home. Then the Titans Tower became her home and even part of her believed it still held something. Not so much the building but her friends, but the tower also held fond memories. A place they often came together in. There Victor seemed a little silent, but something was moving. She saw the reaction to something other than herself in the reaction of his eyes. How they shifted. Yet trying to keep something towards Kory, she could feel though he looked at her, he wasn't seeing her clearly. Who? What? OH! Was he maybe one of those middle men, that spoke to the undead. Kory suddenly had her eyes looking around. Her seating became a little uneasy and expressed that in her body language.
"Is there someone here? That I can't see?"
There Kory asked. Calmly incase it was some kind of secret. As her eyes looked around. She couldn't imagine talking to the dead. Though it would be nice to speak to her family again, it still was a little unsettling.

Victor smiled and handed the camera over. "Sure feel free to. Just don't hit that button." He said pointing at a button off to the side on the top. "You won't break anything but it will just turn off and it takes some time to turn back on. That's all." He said.
When she asked if the ground was cold and pointed at his knee he looked and saw the snow still caked there. "huh......" He said and then after a pause he brushed it off. "Yeah I guess it was alittle cold." He said with a slight laugh. He watched the people around them and smiled at the people he saw.
When she brought up that some things could make someplace or someone home. He raised an eyebrow. 'She doesn't know the half of it.' He said to Lupin.
'No she doesn't' Was the mental wolf's reply.
"I'm from a smallish town in Texas. And I came to Gotham in order to get a good paying job at the University..... But things are getting rough in Gotham so I have to go with this for now.' He said pointing at the camera as he finished his comment. Then he noticed that Kory had been taking off parts of her clothing. He swallowed and blushed slightly. "Your................ ahhh........ Your not cold?" He asked.
He suddenly felt he heart race when she asked if there was someone else there with them.
'How'd she find out?' He quickly asked Lupin. Who didn't answer.
Victor thought about how he should answer that question. He thought about making something up but he didn't. For two reasons. One: She was too nice. Two: It would be easier on him. Mostly the second reason.
"I'm not like you............ I'm human................ But I'm not the only............." He closed his eyes tightly in order to think about what to say. Lupin wasn't any help. He opened his eyes and quietly said. "I'm not quite the only being one living in this body." He said then he looked at her nervously and feeling some what afraid. He had never told anyone before. He then felt that she was about to throw the camera at him and run away or something like that. "I'm not crazy though." He said trying to defuse what he thought was a bad situation. But he wasn't feeling any better. He didn't realize it but he was holding his breath.

The colour of Kory's cheeks picked up a little more as Victor agreed she could use the camera. WOW! She thought. Where to start? As her refined tanned hands took hold of the camera. Its weight was no match to her own. It did feel nice. The power of the button. The power of pixels. Her hands lowered a little as her eyes moved between it and Victor. As he said about the button she wasn't allowed to push. She was glad he told her, she did not want to turn it off. As she nodded to him with a smile. As it sparked a little brighter as she took a better hold. Contemplating where to point it at. As her finger lightly tapped her bottom lip. Her hand brushing some red hair out of the way. She took her first picture. Somewhere aiming at the ice, but managed to shoot the ground. Still she smiled. It was rather fun as she lightly laughed as it clicked. It was a bit like giving a child a new toy. Kory very much liked this toy. As she took a picture of a couple holding hands in the park.
"Oh that should be a good one."
Kory happily remarked to Victor with the park back drop and all snowy, with the sparkle of sunlight through the trees. Joy and happiness in toe. Kory then randomly snapped a little more. Some towards the folk on the ice. A couple of kids learning to skate with their father. It was rather cute to the unspoken trust and bond. Kory's chest rose n fell nicely in a comfortable pace. Warming her heart. It was rather peaceful, even if along with Victor wished for a bit more sun. To best fuel her skin. More and more she moved the camera. Until she landed it upon where Victor was sitting. Smiling. She took a random shot. That was a little to close. What was that part she took a picture of? She pondered even turning the camera around didn't know.
"Ok. Just stay there. Smiling your beautiful smile of course.... Awww yes, very beautiful."
Kory looked to Victor as she spoke as she half jumped to her feet, not too much to drop the camera of course. Her hand motioned to touch his cheeks as they had a faint shade of red. It was too cute. Kory then pressed the click magic button to bring it to the camera. A couple of shots. As she smiled seeing Victor showing up on the camera. Even if it was a tiny version. Her heart was over joyed. This was fun. She could see why he would enjoy this. Kory then hoped back upon the bench. Her fingers then scanned the pictures back as she smiled over each one. Not as good as his, but it was sure fun. As she then handed back the camera. "Thank-you, I can see why you enjoy it. It is defiantly fun... Oh, here allow me. You've missed a bit... There you go."
Kory thanked him kindly then her eyes moved as he remarked and brushed off the snow. Well almost. She smiled as he laughed a little at the situation. Her hand moved to his thigh to brush what was left. Hmmm, better. Kory thought and gave him a sweet smile. Finding now extremely comfortable with him. He was kind and easy to talk to. She sat back a little resting into the bench. With her Cocoa back in hand to sip it. As Victor spoke of Texas. She paid him attention and interested in what he had to say. She was a little sad to know he had trouble, but happy to see he was finding a way to sort things out. Kory then laughed softly herself as he asked n seemed shocked she wasn't cold. She had thick Tamaranean skin. She sure did feel the cold, but not to that extent that humans did. Although Kory still preferred the heat than cold. Tamaran was a very hot tropical kind of place. It was paradise at a time. With the sun out today she barely felt the cold today. Plus more skin showing the stronger her powers were and more warmer she would be.
"One should never give up hope. In fact there is a charity party to help the orphanage that was recently hit by the fire, I'm helping and I know it is need of a photographer. If you would like the job its yours?... I'm not in the slightest. Thick skin, besides best to feel and soak up the sun. It's beautiful."
Kory expressed confidently one always had to have hope. Somethings may not happen over night, but they will happen given enough faith. If she hadn't she wouldn't be here. She wouldn't of survived. Not that what he was going through was to that extent so he'll do fine. Kory offered a job at the party Starfire was hosting. Yeah she had to say helping for now. She was a little not sure what to say so she just said that. Smiling as she spoke. Her smile brightened as she spoke of the cold. She sat back and felt the sun warm her rather exposed chest and arms. Giving her cheeks a slightly fine glow.
Sitting back she still felt as though his eyes were upon her. His mind was slightly somewhere else and distracted. She then knew something as his eyes shifted as she had asked. She wasn't understanding any of it, she just knew there was something. Then he spoke, finding the words to best speak she could tell. She half tilted her head. Another in his body? She looked at him curious. Then said something about being crazy which she didn't think he was. She just knew there was more too him. Even more so behind all his blushes.
"Another within you? You mean like an inner voice? Don't we all have those?... Crazy? I don't think your crazy. There's just something more.... I just don't quite understand it, but something uniquely special more than the eyes can see."
Kory's voice cam soft, caring and wishing to understand more. To better know who sat upon the bench with her. As her eyes looked him over. He was a nicely put together puzzle, a very kind puzzle. She smiled softly, breathing softly and hoped to remind him to breath himself. There's no harm in understanding who you are!

Victor smiled as he watched Kory snap a few pictures.... His smile only grew as she jumped up and snapped even more pictures. "You really are enjoying that aren't you?" He asked jovially. Then when she started snapping pictures of him he couldn't help but start laughing.
"Well I've never heard my smile being called beautiful before. I tend to hear it called wolfish." He said smiling widely and revealing his slightly pronounced canines.
He felt a hint of nervousness creep into him when she brushed the rest of the snow off his knee but he managed to keep it hidden. At least as far as he could tell.
He took the camera back after she handed it to him and smiled. "Thanks. Even if I do get that job at the University I'm not gonna give this up." He said lifting the camera up slightly. "And I'd be more then happy to take pictures for you at the charity party. I guess this wouldn't be a good outfit to wear, eh? Maybe something nicer?" He asked with a grin. After she said that she wasn't cold at all Victor couldn't help but say. "I guess we come from different climates then. Cause the part of Texas I'm from is, in a way, one big forest...... That gets more sleet then snow." A fond smile of remembrance crossed his face as he said that.
When she asked about what he meant by another within him and said that she didn't think he was crazy Victor let out a sigh of relief. "Ok I didn't mean to sound rude. Its just that I was always afraid that if anyone found out about it I would be locked away and studied." Then he thought about how to answer. "You could say he's an inner voice. As that is all he really is now. At one point his had a physical form but now he lives purely in my head, so to speak." He thought about it as he understood it due to him having Lupin live in him........ But he had never really explained it to anyone before..... "Well........ I forget the exact word for it right now but he's like a parasite in which he needs me in order to live. But its mutual. I give him a way to live and he increases my speed, endurance, strengh, etc."
'Why did you say parasite?' Lupin asked sounding almost hurt.
'Simplicity.' Victor replied.
"He and I have become good friends and there are a few side effects. Like a good example that I suffer through often..... Increased sense of smell......... Like right now I can smell a pie that someone had made. At least I think its a pie." Victor said with a slight frown. "And I realize that this sounds crazy. I didn't believe it myself at first." He said and then he waited for Kory's reply. He hoped that she understood. Or at least got the base of what he was saying. And also that she didn't laugh him off.

This was perfect. The snowy trees above and around. There was sprinkle of snow really all around. Yet with the sun speaking through as it was becoming time to melt it and spring was in toe. It almost made the snow shimmer. It even made Victor's slightly coloured cheeks glimmer. Kory's eyes glowed a little behind her dark shades to see his beautiful smile. As she clicked away. Kory smiled as Victor's comments as he watched her. Enjoying it was not even half of it. As soon Kory found her warm spot on the bench next to Victor. The photographer. That blushes.
"Of course... Life is meant to be enjoyed... Well I'm honoured to be the first, but I'm sure won't be the last... I don't understand? How is Wolfish a bad thing? Wolves can be quite stunning and strong, kind of fluffy as well. "
Kory expressed happily. She was from Tamaran, joy consumed the planet and it was how she was raised. Though she was also coupled with the strong warrior training from the warlords. Hate didn't consume her a great deal, but she did have a distrust within her sister. That was deeper of course. Kory beamed a smile to be the first call his smile beautiful. It was the only one he had. Kory half turned her head to the side as pondered about the wolf comment. Was that a bad thing? She had never heard anyone say something like that, but wolves weren't so bad, right? Unless they ate you. Kory also remembered they were fluffy. Cute like Victor so maybe he was short of being a wolf. Kory did see his teeth, but didn't see if it was meant to be a bad thing. Kory settled back nicely with her cocoa after getting rid of the snow on his pants. Kory smiled softly to see him freeze a little. Then smiled brighter as Victor spoke as he took back the camera.
"I'm glad, you really have a keen eye and plus how joyous it is. We are meant for so much more. We have so much to give... Oh. that's wonderful. It is for a great cause and should be a night to remember... It is a themed party, but its not strict by any means. They're just clothes after all."
Kory expressed happily to Victor. As her back rested into the bench. Feeling the sun rays. Happy he would keep a nice hold on his camera. This life was full of so much possibilities, why not enjoy all that you can. Kory was more than a superhero. With every emotion she had, there was just so much to give. To receive. Her lips smiled as he accepted the job. He would be a great addition for the great cause. Her eyes then tracked over his clothes which she hadn't noticed a great deal. They didn't stand out too much, but maybe slightly soldier like theme. She wasn't sure. She never took clothes more than that, just fabric. The party was themed to add extra fun. It wasn't strict. Kory would probably rather show near or mostly naked, but Earth was just different. Which Kory learned to accept, but not really understand a great deal. Kory's eyes dropped a little when he said they must be from different climates. She expressed a silent laugh. She was sure Tamaran was far warmer, but that wasn't why she didn't feel the cold so much, it was the same as how she could stand extreme heat better than humans. Because she wasn't one. She could fly in the vacuum of space, it didn't have much of a climate.
"Where I was born is more like a tropical paradise, rather like Tahiti! It's quite different!"
As then Tamaran was but inches away. She could always easily remember it. The hot sun. The tropical forests. It brought a smile to Kory's face . She expressed with a slight nod that it was different, but left it blank as to whether she meant it was different to Gotham or Texas. Because really it was both. Tahiti was one place that reminded her the most. It wasn't as though she couldn't feel the cold at all, she could just handle it a lot better. Kory then let Victor speak as he opened up. Mostly about this inner voice and what others thought. If there was a thing she admired it was honesty. Which he gave in every bit of his words. Causing her to smile with rosy cheeks. Though her eyes frowned somewhat as he spoke of being locked up. Kory knew that feeling as her eyes darted off a little. She had been experimented upon by another alien race. It was the reason she had starbolts. She was locked for six years. She knew he had enough reasons to fear of something like that, but one must over come them. Kory survived because she knew she could. Just had to wait for the right time to strike and she did. It was a little something to then learn it was more than a voice. It wasn't something Kory had really heard before. She wasn't sure if it was overly something good. As he said parasite. Was he sucking the life out of him in some way. Then Victor spoke of friendship and that Kory understood.
"Oh wow. Like a whole other person inside? It's ok, I won't tell anyone... I'm not sure if I totally understand it, but I do understand friendship. It is very important and one shouldn't be so alone in the world. So it is sweet you sort of have each other... Did you say pie? What kind? How can you suffer from the smell of pie? Perhaps the pie is calling you. Did you want me to help you find it?
As Kory sat there half in amazement in trying to wrap her mind around it. So he not only had his own emotions bubbling around in there, but another's entirely? She beamed a smiled as she was curious and even if it wasn't something she understood. Parts of it she did. Kory almost wondered if he was talking to him now. Was going to ask, but then was distracted when he mentioned the smell of pies. It perked her eyes to look. How was that a downfall? Suddenly she felt her stomach talk. She amusingly expressed the idea of helping him find this special pie. As she over looked him commenting about being crazy again. If smelling pies was crazy it was a good kind of crazy.
