Kory watched kindly as Victor laughed and reached for his ankle. He had a vivid memory. She could quite feel his pain. A whip lashing after awhile could pierce her skin. In fact as her eyes trailed a little she suddenly remembered that quite vividly. When she was a slave. Not quite an adult. Still quite a child, but she grew faster than she probably should have, but never would it happen again. She didn't give up then and nor would she start doing that now. As Kory's mind as quickly as she went there, as quickly as she came back here. The moment at hand with Victor. He was good company. Even with a whip. Then came his light hearted tone. Her nonhuman ways were a little evident for him to see. She found it something he didn't know who she was. Donna would say be careful.
"Where I'm from people say what they mean."
So along the way Kory was getting use to the sarcasm as well. Among other things. She had become quite earthly so Tamaran would say and she had felt that quite true. Still so much stood between her and her really becoming human. She could try, but she just wasn't human. She accepted there were rules. Ways they lived. Even if she didn't agree, but it would be quite like a human going to Tamaran. They could just go in there and change it... Least before it was destroyed. In other words it was like a guest in a home. Kory was becoming quite comfortable with this home. This Earth. It was quite lovely. As Kory then despite Donna, removed her glasses. Revealing her green Tamaranean eyes or Starfire's eyes better known on earth. Placing them upon the table. Feeling more comfortable. Relaxing for the time in the couch. Happily Victor was still functioning after the nose dive of noses. Kory smiled. There. There he started breathing again. Smiled brighter as he thanked her and she nodded kindly. Listening in as Victor spoke and chuckled about Lupin. This she was happy to hear. It was Victor's body after all. Rather like a guest in a home. Lupin needed to respect Victor's wishes. Then Victor paused and Kory thought something was wrong. Shifting his voice again. Looking him over.
"I can see what you mean... So you meet women in the park a lot, I take it?... What was she like?..."
Kory wondered if there was more to when he spoke of meeting another woman in the park, but it was nice he was still able then to meet other women. That Lupin then was he said annoying but helpful. Though spotting the man beside her she was sure he could manage quite well on his own. Just needed faith a little more faith. As her green eyes looked over him a bit curious with a kind smile. As her eyebrow raised as he spoke of other uses for mints.
"I don't mind when it comes with Chocolate. It's quite refreshingly sweet, but what are some of the other uses? You seem to know a lot about mint... ."
Then got back to her feet. Taking a tray of pies in hand. More like two hands. It was defiantly a good amount. As Kory found a spot for them upon the lounge floor. So it could house the pies. Lifting the lids. They did look good and smelled quite nicely from her nose. Finding Victor quite the gentleman helping her with the carting them. He was impressed. It was a good start. As Kory also managed to grab some glasses for the drink. Incase of refreshing was in order or washing the pies down, but they should taste nicely. As her stomach jumped for joy. As Kory took a spot. Resting her back against the couch. It was a nice feast before them. Of all kinds of pies. Of different fruits. Meat ones. Sweet ones.
"I'm sure the pies will thank-you, Victor... Even I have to admit they look delectable, putting it lightly of course... Now I believe it is time for your nose to do the work... Would you like the blindfold, Victor?... You are hungry I recall, so we'll eat as we go along."
As Kory pulled more lids off. They were really good looking. First things first. As Kory held out the blindfold her girly eye mask. Though only if he needed it. What ever would make him comfortable would work she was sure. Recalling his talking stomach she wouldn't distract him too long from enjoying a pie. A taste with each smell could work. Along with her. It sort of made it less of a large amount , seeing it as testing the pies. Possible get to each one. As her finger dug into a creamy one. Yeah it tasted good. She was ready to start. Where to start? As her eyes danced between them.
"Where should we start?"

When he heard Kory say that where she was from people say what they mean he grinned. "I don't really know why people say things like that...... I just heard stuff like that when I was a kid and it stuck." He said. "I've been told that casinos wouldn't like me because the few times I've played a game that involves gambling. I would always bet the smallest amount possible." He added.
He found himself thinking quickly when she asked about him meeting women in the park often.
'What do I say?' He mentally asked Lupin quickly. Then he felt his heart drop when he heard the reply. 'I feel you should use this time to enhance your ability to think on your feet.'
"Well I don't meet women alot. But from time to time. I seem to bump into them. So to speak." He said thinking quickly. "And as for her..... Se was very kind........ Funny.......... Gentle....... And the like." He said hoping that he wasn't being to vague but certain that she was going to push the subject.
Then when Kory asked Victor about mint and saying that he seemed to know alot about mint he grinned. "Honestly I know alittle about alot." He said. "As for mint. I know there are medical uses for it and it works as a handy air fresher." He added in a pleasant tone.
Then after he finished helping her bring the pies in he looked at the blindfold she was offering him. He couldn't help but laugh when he saw what it was. "Sure we'll have me smell it first then I'll eat. You can start eating though." He said taking the blindfold. "I'm glad I'm not one of those guys who has to be manly everywhere I go." He added with a chuckle as he sat down and got ready for the testing to begin.

"Yes, there's not a lot of sarcasm and such where I'm from... Doesn't mean I don't like it Victor, as long as it's not rude, but it just means I'm still learning, may we say... I've never really been to a casino. Is it fun? Maybe I'd try it one day, I'm not much of a lover of the dollars and cents. I generally lose coins, but that's a mistake I learnt from. Don't put them in your cups."
Not that Tamaraneans aren't funny. They could be quite entertaining, just in a joyful way. Perhaps sarcasm of another kind. Considering they didn't have such things as Casinos. ZOOS or even really parks. It sort of was build in and around a park. Where they lived of course. They worked with rather than against nature. As Kory found the rather comfortable spot on the ground. Though really she was still learning although she had started awhile back to sort of pick it up as she went along or find her own take of it. She just wasn't a fan of when it was in a rude manner. Mostly when it was joyful and to make another laugh. There was no real great use for money, just mostly to go day by day as humanly possible, but hardly any use while she was away from Earth. She wasn't over board and there was little room when she was Starfire to carrying money. Not that she needed money generally then. Upon being told it wasn't water you wished in exactly, even if she faintly believed in wishes, mostly the activity of it was fun, but she learnt it was a much larger cup. A fountain or a well
"Well, that is always a good thing. Making friends. Oh, she sounds lovely Victor. Maybe a date? What is her name?... One does like to hear they freshen the air in a convenient way."
There was that faint pause she noticed after she had asked Victor about this woman. Blushing. Quiet. Nervous. She wasn't sure who this woman was, but she was quite sure he liked her. Perhaps a little more than liked or perhaps just not a lot of talking with women. Although he was rather quite charming so she didn't really see the problem and one point Dick was quite like that. Still was from time to time, but he was never truly shy. Just more hid it, maybe like Victor. Most of earth was more shy than Tamaran, but people like Dick. Victor. Were sweet. Kind. Loyal and trustworthy. On Tamaran trust it just came. There were hardly voice for enemies amongst themselves up until Blacksfire. As Kory asked friendly with a curious smile, about this woman's name. Maybe there was a date or he wanted on, but Lupin was preventing him. Kory was also pleased to know she could freshen the air in such a way. His comments were always so cute. In a very innocent and yet honest way.
Kory's joy level then just peaked up. It was officially pie time. Rubbing her palms together. Going for the kill. So many to choose from. Not before Victor took his blindfold in hand. Her smile grew to see him laugh. Joy was a defiant in this situation. It helped. As agreed. Her eyes lit up. Just a matter which one. She'd had to pick randomly so he didn't know. Yeah. Hmmmm. As her eyes darted. Savoury, first. Had to be that first. Maybe a couple to start with. No need to go overboard. Start small. If this was going to work it mightn't catch on entirely first day. Kory was quite sure to make this a regular thing. Well. As her eyes looked between, maybe not to regular. Could it be possible to eventually get sick of this many pies? But didn't always need to be pies. Focus! She told herself. As Victor would slip on the mask. She would taste with him. So she could know for sure. Smiling. Tasting the first one. It was savoury delicious. Of a white meat and some vegetables. The better pies would come. As she sneaked in a scoop of cream with her finger, no Meringue.
" Your quite brave to wear it, I find that makes you also quite manly and rather handsome... Now pie No.1. So start sniffing! What do you smell? I'll give you a hint it's not overly sweet. Although it tastes wonderful... Not sure if this will help but try and eliminate the pastry. It be sort of the same each pie."
Kory tried to reassure him the mask wasn't too distracting, although honestly it did give him that girly touch, but ultimately made him more manly because he didn't refuse it. not as if it was going to attack him. It was just coloured fabric. To some creatures they would see completely different colours. Kory had taken a knife from the kitchen and cut open the first pie. With the crumbling shell faintly echoing and the smell even Kory could smell. Cutting it in a slice. Pecking a little piece herself, before with balancing. Balanced it a little off from his nose. She wasn't sure if it would help, but seeing as the pastry was well pastry. Perhaps cut that out first. So he could focus on the inside. Wondering how he really processed it. Was it like an image in his head at all or if not. would that work? Slowly dissect it bit by bit. Well not eat all of it. Kory smiled, there plenty of better and sweeter tasting pies. Than this one made of chicken and arrange of vegetables.

Victor nodded as he listened to what Kory said about sarcasm. "You should hear me when I'm playing a strategy game with someone. Though usually the person I'm playing against has to start it." He said grinning. "I've only ever been in a casino once. And I didn't gamble. I more just walked through to get to the other side." He said. "I don't really like to gamble with money. My form of gambling is in a game that involves tactics. Not money."
When she asked about what the woman's name was he had to think quick. He wasn't sure if he wanted to tell her that she was the woman he was talking about.
'See what you did. If you had just listened to me and told her how you feel this wouldn't have happened.' Lupin told him.
'Hush! I'm thinking.' Victor quickly replied.
"Her name was Kara." He said after quickly changing the next three letters of what he was going to say.
'I don't remember a Kara.' Lupin joked, Victor simply ignored him. It may seem mean but this is how Lupin helps Victor. He will challenge him and only give true direct help when Victor truly needs it.
Then Victor looked at Kory's eyes and thought. 'Nice shade of green.' Then proceeded to put the blindfold on. He felt silly wearing this particular blindfold. But that didn't bother him. He loved feeling silly. He always enjoyed making others laugh. No matter who they were, where they were from, or what they're background was. As a matter of fact. When he went to college in Seattle there was a survey about what your ideal job would be according to your friends. And for Victor it was a toss up between historian and comedian.
Victor eventually started to smell something ans assumed that Kory was holding a piece of pie before his nose. A assumption that was proved correct by what Kory then said. Victor took a slight sniff then simply let the smell enter his nose.
The smell made him think of his uncle out cooking on the grill. "Now I know there's not a BBQ pie........" He muttered and thought some more.............................. "Then again there might be now adays. What with fried ice cream." He continued to mutter. He thought about what it was that his uncle would love to cook on the grill? Chicken!
"Chicken pie." He said after a while. He then realize something... Something completely unrelated to pies........ "Kory.... Was I seeing things or were your eyes one solid color?" He asked not removing the blindfold so as to not ruin the test.

The more talks of games, the more Kory wanted to play. This so called gambling could be fun. As she lightly tapped a finger upon her lips. Just? Hmmm. It didn't need to be money. Suddenly bunch of things popped in her mind and smiled brightly, but for now the games would have to wait. Or more this was the game. These pies. As then envisioning Victor walking through the casino. From what she did know was all the bright lights. That could be quite a sight.
"What was on the other side? Though the lights must have been a sight... Oh, you mean like gambling with something else... Like with candy? That could be fun. Would you teach me some time, please? I"
Suddenly slightly curious Kory pondered was there something on the other side. That could lend the need to go through the casino. There were other activities at these places that Kory knew of. Kory looked up with rather beaming look. A smile. Asking if he'd teach her, but with something more like candy. At least that's what she thought he meant when he said not money. She did see a little gambling in the tower, but it generally wasn't money. Candy she could risk, well depending on the candy. If not candy something like it. Then along came that little pause again. Kory was calm and in no real need to rush him. It wasn't as if he never answered. Though Kory couldn't help the slight turning of her head. Was he maybe talking to Lupin? It wasn't in her right mind to ask or know. It was a conversation best left between themselves unless invited, so to speak. Before as her eyes began darting between the pies. Victor slipped a name. Kare! Kara? Kory pondered. Did he really mean Kara? What was she doing here? In the parks of Gotham. Then was it her.
"This Kara... Did she have a last name? I have had encounters with a Kara, friendly of course."
Kory asked kindly. She was sure it wasn't Kara Kent. Why would she be out here with no word. She was a young girl. Vaguely saying how she knew her. Or more How Dick knew her. Kory wasn't jealous. The girl was still very young... Before Kory was distracted by Victor's sudden eye wear change. Kory finding it hard to smile, but he didn't look terrible, by any means. She could feel that slight discomfort, but he was dealing with it really rather well. He was braver than he probably knew. Now the smelling. As Kory held out the fork with the pie. Her hand lightly on top so to best hold it. Kory slightly felt the goosebumps and silent amusement as he really got sniffing. It was kind of cute whilst be quite different than anyone she had heard sniff before. Her green eyes looking between as Victor muttered. Trying to put it together. BBQ Pie? That seemed like a new thing. Then the mentioning of fried ice cream, made her stomach sing just a little. It sounded very good. Kory beamed then greatly as Victor said chicken. Oh, he really was good. As Kory motioned the fork forward so he could taste it to be sure.
"I've never heard of a BBQ Pie. What it's like? I have heard of the fried ice cream, I've always wanted to try it some time... Your right, it's chicken. That was really good. Amazing in fact. Here, have a taste... Now, 2nd pie."
Kory asked very curious. Somehow she imagined a pie on fire or all black, crispy in the end. That's if perhaps she was working the BBQ, at least. As she motioned the fork at his lips. Smiling softly. Before turning her attention to the next pie, once he took that piece. This next pie was still savoury. She might start more sweeter next pie. Now this had an extra layer on the pie. Kory wasn't sure why it had to with shepherds. Didn't they guard sheep not cattle. Then it sort of looked like a sheep with the cloudy white on top. Putting a piece in hand of a fork and hers. So to get his senses going. Slowly enough. Take his time. It wasn't something Kory was sure would take just a matter of now. But eventually once he had control of this. It really could come rather helpful. Kory smiled softly again as Victor gently put his next words towards her. Finally opened to ask and Kory respected that. It was more really a matter of time and Victor. Kory was feeling quite strongly he was a kind man.
"You weren't just seeing things. They are my real eyes. They're a tamaranean trait. Made up of and generate energy."
Kory couldn't lie. Nor could she shame where she came from by doing it and most knew who she was. She just wasn't as fearful than others were, but for Donna mostly Kory tried to be careful. She was like a sister, so kory trusted her judgement, most of the time. Kory's hand lowered a little with the fork. Smiling softly as these eyes traced of him. Found it really sweet he kept his blindfold, mask thing in place, but she was sure he'd take another look soon.

Victor felt a large smile cross his face when she asked what was on the other side." Well the first thing I went to was an arcade that was across the way." He said then he continued. "But the main reason I went through the casino was for the most amazing show I have ever seen in my life." And he felt the smile get wider as he remembered the show. "Plus I can teach you one of the games. Though I've only played it with candy, chocolate, and points. Never money."
Then he felt himself get alittle nervous when Kory talked about knowing Kara.
'Victor you should think through what your going to say next.' Lupin warned. 'You've never met a Kara before in your life.'
'I know I know' Victor replied.
"If I remember correctly her last name was something like............... Emerson." He said thinking quickly on his feet. Which seems to be something he had been doing alot lately. He mentally crossed his fingers hoping that the Kara that Kory knew didn't have the last name of Emerson.
Victor then laughed. "I don't know if there is a BBQ pie. I just know that my uncle would cook out on the grill alot and he loved to grill chicken." He said. "Though I think a BBQ pie would be interesting." He added. Then he felt a smile of remembrance cross his face as he thought of his uncle. He then took the bite that she gave him and nodded. "Yeah that's chicken alright." He said after he had swallowed the chicken.
Then he started to smell a new smell so he figured that there was a new piece of pie there. "Ok lets see." He muttered then he started to sniff. Then after a while he stopped sniffing and again let the smell enter his nose on its own. He frowned. This smell didn't bring back any memories at the moment. So he took another sniff. Still no memories. He thought long and hard about it and then finally shrugged. "I'm not real sure what this one is." He said after a few seconds thought then suddenly he said. "No wait!" Then he sniffed once more then. "Nope I don't have anything."
Then Kory confirmed that her eyes were solid green and then she said that it was a Tamaranean trait then she said something about them being pure energy or something like that. And after she said all that Victor groaned. "I'm sorry I didn't notice that before. By 'not from around here' you meant Earth not Gotham, didn't you?" He asked. "Again I'm sorry I usually notice things faster. Your eyes are very pretty though." He said

Something expected was coming. That's what Kory was feeling every time Victor grinned like that. Something amazing was going to be told. Ok. Well, mostly he had an amazing smile. It caused that beam within his eyes and Kory felt captivated in some way. Imagining this massive arcade. Like a game world. She liked games, but perhaps not to that scale. Found it cute that he might. A show? What was this show? That was so amazing. Was all now running through her mind. She had heard of vast entertainments. Though never knew exactly. Dick said some to do with magic. Like Zatanna. Well, almost... There as Victor's smile grew more. Why wasn't he saying what the show was? It was like telling someone you have a spoiler and its really good, not telling them what it was. That slight edge feeling. Kory smiled as Victor said he could teach her. She had no trouble with it being with anything than money. Points? She wasn't sure she had a great deal use of those, but it still sounded like fun. Most having to do with some form of candy.
"What was this amazing show? Would it be something I'd like?... Well when you ready I believe it is a date, Victor. Only thing is, I need to get candy... I don't know of a place in Gotham, would you help me locate it?"
Kory asked kindly, rather curious. As using one of the human expressions she had picked up on, although whether she used it correctly was another thing entirely. Still Kory offered her own rather ominous grin. Not maybe today. Today was for pies, but another time. Soon, she would imagine. Only thing she didn't have candy. Well, she did know where there was a store in New York, she could always fly there if needed, but knowing where one was in Gotham might make things better. Only candy she couldn't gamble was Candy Floss. That, yeah no that just seemed cruel. Not that she was opposed to sharing it. Kory smiled innocently. Hmmmm, Carnivals. Kory just bubbly thought. Oh right. Kory pondered as Victor told her this Kara's last name. Gently shaking her head.
"Oh in that case I don't believe I have met her... Oh I love BBQs, they're rather fun. I've not touched one myself... Maybe you could try making the BBQ pie, I'd be interested to see it myself..."
There Kory said softly shaking her head a little more. After all it make little sense why Supergirl was here, but not too little. Shrugging, it wasn't as if they were ever close. It was very sweet how Victor was speaking of BBQs and his uncle. His smile. It made him happy to recall happy memories. That Kory could tell. Never had she used one, but she had been around them enough to know she liked them. This BBQ pie, it sure did sound like fun to try out at some point, Kory who knows could cook? Yeah, maybe. OOh right. Pie time. Kory shifted in her seat. Brimmed as he swallowed the Chicken. Victory. Kory giggled softly at his words and how fun this really was. At least her. As she ate some pie along with him. How could one not be happy with this many pies? Hey. Victory. It rhymed with Victor. Kory lightly amused herself. Now new pie. It started out well. Same flare of his nostrils. The smile on his face. The intent in his eyes. Focusing. Then came his frown. He was struggling. Ok. Kory hadn't prepared what would happen if he got it wrong. What to do? Trying to remain helpful. The first pie on the first go was seemingly very good though. As even then his words were doubtful. Kory scratched her head a little. Then one more glimmer of hope he gave and then nothing. Kory ate it. To help of course ease her own slight discomfort. Then put more pie on the fork for him. It was rather common ingredients. That made up the shepherds pie, but generally not lamb as Dick had informed her. Still wondering why it was called Shepherds pie. Perhaps they didn't like eating their own kind or something. She couldn't imagine eating a pet after all.
"Take your time, Victor... You'll get it. Just try to focus bit by bit. No need to rush.. The fillings are quite common I believe."
Ok. Now her cat was out of her bag. Or something, something, something. It was kind of hard to block when one sees her eyes. Because what human doesn't have pupils? Sort of beyond contacts at a point. They wouldn't even work if she tried, they just get absorbed and melt or something along the lines. Kory smiled softly her eyes watched the change in his manner. If knowing something like this would change his treatment. In someway it always did, because in the base she wasn't human. She was something different. Some cases too different. Apologises! Kory thought it sweet, but not needed. Still got the vibe the whole her not being human, probably was still being absorbed in his skin, but then with his last words. She beamed a brighter smile. It was very sweet to say. Very sweet to say. Kory leant in and gently went to kiss his cheek. Friendly on her behalf anyways.
"Thank-you, Victor. You don't need to apologise for something you didn't know... Besides now you know... I'm from Tamaran, was... It up until recently doesn't exist anymore... Earth's been much my home now for a few years... Most of you humans know me as Starfire."
Kory responded happily as she withdrew her lips. Her hands gently motioned to lift his mask for the moment. A break from the pies, so he might actually take her in as her true self. Now that he wasn't so blinded. That he needn't be sorry for. He knew now. That's really all that mattered. At least she hoped it did. As she mentioned Tamaran. Now there was little reason to hide, really anything. Earth was her home. At least she hoped it could be, but then so many things at any given time reminded her why it possibly never could be her home, but she remained hopeful. Always coming back. Starfire was her dubbed Earthly name. Maybe Victor had heard of Starfire more than Koriand'r. As Kory leant him her hand for his. To properly shake hands, now having this knowledge. With much less things to hide. She found out a secret he had and he found out her secret. That was never a secret Kory had wished to keep. She never understood the need to hide oneself. This was Donna's advice some years, back, but now it was a little late. Kory happily smiled.

When Kory asked what the name of the show was Victor's smile got abit larger. "I'm not entirely sure what the show itself is called. But the group that it revolved around is called the Blue Man Group." He said then he chuckled. "And its hard to describe what the show was like." He added. "And as for a place in Gotham where you can by candy......... I can't really think of any specialty store." He said in reply to Kory's question. And Victor realized that a slight lump had formed in his throat when she used the word date. He knew what she meant. But still he felt somewhat nervous.
He felt himself relax when she said that she hadn't met Kara before. Mostly because he hadn't either.
'And you said watching M*A*S*H was never gonna pay off.' He jokingly said to Lupin. In reply the mental wolf simply grunted much like Victor does. "I've never used one either. That duty was reserved for my uncle."
Victor kept trying to smell the pie. He noticed that the smell vanished..... Then it returned. He figured that she must have eaten it. And he couldn't blame her. He probably would have too. He sniffed again then he had an idea of what it might be........... "Sheppard?" He asked. He wasn't sure but he just couldn't help but think of shepherds for some reason.
He listened to Kory talk about her being from another world he just couldn't help but wonder what life must be like on another world. He then thought about what the culture must be like on her world. Then he felt something touch his cheek. He realized that it was a kiss. And he could only think one thing.
'Uh.'
He was glad that he didn't say it. He started to feel his cheeks burn and he wondered if he was blushing or not. But he didn't dwell on it as he was also hearing Lupin hum a tune from his culture.
He also felt sorry when she brought up the fact that he world was gone. "I'm sorry....... I can only imagine what it would fell like to loose your world." He said. "I'm afraid that I can't think of anyone I know heard of Starfire." He said. "At least off hand." Then he thought abit. "Then again. I don't really keep up with alot of things very often." He added.
Then he shook her hand. "Well then.... Welcome to Earth. I hope you enjoy your stay." He said with a grin. He was sure that she had heard that countless times before. Or something along those lines. "Also reason I apologize is that I always enjoy meeting someone from somewhere different then where I live. And I feel kinda silly when I don't realize where it is they're from. I sorta got an Austrian upset that way before." He then felt himself smiling again this time in a friendlier manner then before.

Again and again. Kory was getting the warm vibe with every smile he was offering. Especially when it would grow to this size. It really must have been some show. Kory half turned her head. Blue man? Was that some kind of mockery? Never had she heard of Blue humans. Maybe they were Lartnecs. Perhaps Krells or even Aloi? Though here. On earth in such a public state? That was probably a no. Victor did make it sound very exciting, even if as he said couldn't really describe it... Whether blue humans or not, it did sound like it could be fun. Especially if Victor liked it so much. Kory felt herself heighten as he began to speak of candy in Gotham. Perhaps he would be able to help, but then revealed he did not know of a store. That was ok, Kory was sure she couldn't manage to find one. Surely if she walked the streets for a bit she'd run into one and not a dark alley as they were everywhere. With candy being so bright, it might be easier to find.
"Really? There's a group of Blue skinned men. Humans? My that does sound interesting... Perhaps we could put your nose to the task and sniff out the candy, some other time of course and only if you'd liked too."
Kory remarked happily as she asked. Curious as she was trying to imagine blue earthlings. Victor blue? Hmmm, that was a hard image to take, but Kory was sure he'd still be rather cute. Kory silently laughed trying to imagine what shade his blushes would be. Perhaps harder to see. Kory sweetly suggesting they go sniffing out candy shops, but perhaps it was a little rude to abuse his skills greatly. Or would it help. Either way it wasn't her skill, but Kory was sure it would be fun. Kory smiled sweetly to see Victor relax. Really sinking into the flow here in her place. As the heater was really warming the room up nicely. It was just even more relaxing. Comforting. That and his company sure helped. He was shy. Generally men can be around her. He was still rather easy to talk to and it wasn't as if he couldn't talk. Give him a little something and the more comfortable he seemed to get. Still with a guard, but an understandable guard. Kory could only imagine how much he was talking to Lupin in his head, but Kory just didn't think to much about it. Not that she didn't think Lupin was fun, but it was Victor whom she had invited after all. Kory swallowed her mouthful. It really was good. The meat. Potato. The pastry. All very good. As her eyes traced the other pies yet to even get much other than a quick glance. Luckily pies could last more than a day. So Victor could take some home and practise some, perhaps. Maybe take some to Dick Grayson. Make sure he's getting fed. Which was unlikely if Alfred was on his tail, but still. Kory was sure he'd might like one of the pies. Kory's face was lighting up as Victor began smelling again. She could see the fine changes as if his sense was more sensitive than her own. As something was rolling around his head. Victor finally spoke.
"BINGO!... Now open wide!"
Kory said loud and happily. Just another expression she had heard. Excited he got it right. He was getting more in-tuned with his sense of smell. It would defiantly come in handy. Kory was sure. Like finding candy shops for one. He could find her if she got lost. Not that would be required as Kory could simply fly and shouldn't be to hard to find something familiar, but maybe if not her other people. That sort of ran something in Kory's head, but not needed for right now. As her orange hand extended just a little more to bring the fork to Victor's lips and said to open up. This was much better than the last pie, if Kory would have to favour. Simple and just well good. What be good for the next pie? Kory pondered. Perhaps just a couple more and then Victor could really enjoy the pies. A bit of everything. It was a little hard to really choose. As Kory's eyes jumped between. Before her fork could pin point another. Kory's soft lips grazed his cheek. Which was also seemingly soft. As her thumb gently rubbed. Caressed. Finding his little extra colour now suit him. Kory laughed joyfully. It well sort of stopped him in his tracks. At least Kory was sure from what she could tell. In his head. It really was just a kiss. A friendly gesture. A thank-you for being sweet. Not all humans were always as welcoming and given the chance to not like her, they seemed to jump at it some times.
"Thank-you and hopefully you'll never have to experience it. There is so many willing to protect Earth, as am I... Thrust me it will be a long fight before one really gets close to destroying it. And I don't wanna see another world die. Especially not one I now consider my home..."
There was little chance. Very very little chance that Earth with as many here to protect it would destroying be so easy. Not as if none have tried. There had been plenty of times. Cases, but all falling flat in the end. Being stopped just in time. Tamaran was much older, it took so long. It stood thriving for so long and in just the last year it was all gone. So anything was possible, but Kory wouldn't let Earth just die. As Kory kindly offered hope. A peace of mind that Victor may never need to feel the lose quite like she had. Tamaran was beautiful. It was home and it was defiantly not Earth, but Earth was now her home. Kory happily said with no flinch or back tracking. It didn't make Tamaran any less of her home. Just more another kind. Kory felt the bubbling again as Victor shook her hand. The joining of true friendship. He now knew who she was. Or was on that path. The right path. Letting her smile grow wider as he really welcomed her. Even if it was many years ago now that she came here, but surely it wasn't too over due.
"Well. That is just very kind of you, Victor... I feel welcomed. It is a great feeling... I can honestly say you haven't made me upset. If anything I feel embraced"
It was hard not to be charmed by what Victor had just said. So warmly. Kory accepted his apology as he wished to give it, but she still couldn't see exactly why, but she sure accepted it. He was kind like that. So making sure not to offend and be rude. Really he was fine. Or should be rather than being overly cautious. Not as if he saw enough of her kind to know it for sure. As Kory's hand that had shook his. Held his. Making sure he knew he hadn't offended her. He was being himself as good as he could and Kory quite like him. The way he was. The way he was slowly opening up. Kory breathed a happy sigh. Offering a smile. Before returning her attention towards the pie. They could still speak. Still he could ask her things if need be. What ever it was as Kory could tell he was vastly interested. Well, at least on a friendly scale.
"Did you want to smell some more pies? Maybe more of the sweeter pies. Or did you want a break?"

Victor smiled abit when she asked if he was talking about blue skinned humans. "Not really." He said. "They're wearing some kind of outfit that makes their skin appear blue. Though they act as if they are from a different world and know nothing about humans. They also kinda act like the whole show is one big experiment to see how many things they can do to amaze and entertain the crowd." Then he added. "Plus they seem to have a big budget." He smiled as he thought of the show.
Then he laughed slightly when Kory brought up him sniffing out candy. "We have to try that." He said eagerly. Then he laughed abit more as he imagined what he would look like walking through the streets of Gotham with his nose as his guide. "If it works well I can stop carrying a map of the city." He added with a grin.
When he heard that he had guessed correctly as to what kind of pie she was holding before him he grinned. "Really?" He asked as he took the bite and then chewed it and swallowed. He thought it tasted better then the first one but only by a little. Though he wasn't a very particular type of person when it came to food.
He felt his mind lingering on the kiss that she gave him.... He knew that it was meant as a friendly gesture. And not anything more. But he couldn't help but linger on it. He felt a lump in his throat and his heart started to beat faster. After all Kory was the first woman to ever kiss him. Or rather the first person to ever kiss him. As far as he could remember at least. He swallowed and tried to think about what he should say. Nothing came to mind he was feeling himself starting to get extremely nervous again. Then something happened and he started to relax again. He didn't know what was happening to him and then he heard a voice.
'Well Victor I feel I have done what I need to do today. I'll help you calm down so you don't either pass out or worse. Wet yourself.' Lupin said jovially.
Victor didn't reply. The type of connection the two shared didn't need a reply. Lupin calmed him down just enough to where he could function again. But otherwise he was still nervous. Then he got a feeling of triumph when he realized something. He was still aware of his surroundings. Which meant that he hadn't passed out. And as Lupin had pointed out he hadn't wet himself. But he still couldn't think of anything to say. So instead of speaking he simply smiled kindly.
Then he was finally able to reply when she talked about him hopefully not knowing what its like to loose a world. "Well I guess I might have to try and help out." He said. "And I guess that's kinda a hard job from time to time." He added. Still having trouble thinking straight without lingering on the kiss.
"And I'm glad you feel welcomed. I've always tried to be friendly to people that are from another place then I am." He said. "Plus people where I'm from have a reputation for being friendly" He added. "Though I try to go a step farther."
"We could take a break now." He said. The main reason was that he was starting to get really hungry now. Plus he was having trouble thinking still. He never thought that this would be his reaction to a kiss. But he didn't say anything about that. Then he thought some. Kory had just revealed to him that she was an alien. Which in all honesty didn't bother him. In fact he was happy to know that he was right about other forms of life existing. Even if he didn't expect to find out by meeting an alien in the park and buying her some coco. But what got him thinking was that she revealed that she was Starfire. Then at that thought something click in his mind. "I think I might know a Starfire." He said. "But only from what I've heard." Then he thought some more. She revealed two secrets. And he's only revealed one.
"Ummmm...... Kory." He said haltingly. "Have you heard of a............ Person........... Who goes by the name of Wulfen?" He asked. He didn't want to come out and say that Victor WAS Wulfen only to find out that she does know Wulfen and doesn't really like him all that much. In all honesty Victor didn't know if anyone had even heard of Wulfen and if they had what the public opinion of him was. So he waited for her reply.

Pretending? To be not human. Kory was curious as Victor was speaking of these blue skinned, well fake skinned. What were they playing at! Kory had to ponder. Did these humans know? Or were they trying to mock. Kory wasn't sure she so much liked the fact this was entertainment, but from what Victor was saying it was in a joyful. Perhaps harmless as he smiled. Remembering it rather fondly, she could tell.
"They sound like fun. I'd sure love to see them. They do remind me of a race I'm familiar with. I just hope it is as you say joyful. Not at all mockery?"
Kory just raised that bit of concern. Though perhaps it was just ironic. That these humans just didn't know of the many blue skinned races. There wasn't just one and they were all the same. Hardly were they similar and generally a different shade of blue. Kory was sure it was as he said to simply entertain, but that faint thought at the expense of another race. Though they probably hardly minded. Earth was so far away and rather out of the loop when it came to what was in space. What lived and thrived throughout the universe. Kory just knew if they were portraying Tamaraneans, she wouldn't be pleased if it was to mock them. Sure they had faults. Things that was perhaps bad on their parts, but what world didn't. One of the vital things on this planet Earth was information. Knowledge and power. It was also quite a weakness. Kory lit up with a sweet smile to hear his laugh. About candy. When ever did it not make someone smile. It was candy. So Kory wasn't surprised Victor was up to finding some. A lot of candy.
"Oh Thank- you. It could be quite a hunt... Yeah, it can be rather like running into a dark alley after dark alley in this city... You really could do so much with this gift."
The help was very much appreciated. It would also be quite a lot of fun. Half reminding her of a little green boy she knew, but almost far more charming. Ok, a lot charming. Nodded to his words about the map. The ease around the city. Well yeah it was a rather dark city. Mostly of course at night, but generally not a bright city like New York or LA. Not that Kory had great difficulty, as she could fly it made it easier. Though still finding most she didn't know. As before now, her return. Kory had only visited Gotham or came with Dick on dates. He showed her great deal of the city. Or more showed her off, because he was the first time truly in love and embracing it. Feeling the freedom, so to speak. Oh. He was so cute then. So filled with life and hope. Not much had changed, he grew taller. More handsome. Kory happily nodded as Victor then swallowed the pie. Enjoying the beginning of this feast. It was quite a feast. Kory was pleased he seemed to enjoy that, but there was just something. Kory was sure he could enjoy most things. He was seemingly enjoying the company and that Kory could relate. Company was nice. As his was even kinder.
He had a certain way about him. Where Kory could find familiar traits, Victor was his own man. Or well Kory had to wonder how much wolf was part of him or Lupin. No. No. Kory was sure it was mostly him. Nervous. Smiled. To see his cheeks. The way his eyes had lit up. Perhaps first kiss or just shy? Though with the silence, Kory was sure Lupin was saying something. With the play of his eyes. As he suddenly lost of words, just smiled. Not sure entirely if the smile was for her. Still it was a nice smile and he was utterly charming.
"Where you are from seems to have had a good influence on you then, but I think your kindness is your own Victor... Quite a few aren't always as welcoming of my kind, but for the most part. I feel at home when I'm here. Tahiti as I mentioned is the most closet to what Tamaran was like. It was a tropical paradise. "
It was hard to imagine anyone not liking Tamaran or least when it existed. It was so beautiful. Peaceful. It was paradise and home. Before Earth... Earth more second home. Tamaran was still very much a part of who Kory was. Princess. Royalty. It was what influenced her and still did. Something like that can't easily slip from your blood. Your heart. There were fine places such as Tahiti, where Kory could be reminded of such peace. It wasn't exact, but it was extremely beautiful. Kory was quite happy to see Victor free to eat now. As he wanted a break. It would be nice. Getting into this pie feast. Now him knowing who she was and is. It wasn't great thought as a secret to her, not like Superman. As Kory had never had the desire to hide who she was. She was happy to be who she was. What she was. With her fork she picked at a pie and another. There was no one exactly as they all looked good. The Key lime one was defiantly a eye popper. The banana cream pie. Defiantly. Lemon Meringue. Alright mostly the sweeter tasting ones. The sugar was nice. Taking a mouthful of goodness. His revealing of knowing a Starfire or least heard. Made her smile, well as good as she could do as she ate.
"Sure thing and it'll give us a chance to talk, while enjoying... Oh you should defiantly try this, it's so good... Oh you have heard of me? I was part of the Teen Titans, well I guess one always remains a titan. We are like family... But, they dubbed me with the name Starfire upon my arrival some years back... "
Kory was sure he'd heard of the Teen Titans. There superhero group based in New York. The younger heroes. Kory had left for her betrothal in Tamaran, but leaving Titans. Well it wasn't so much that. Something they had was unique and rarely happened. The bonding of friendships for a life time. In cases several life times. Kory happily thought with a keen smile. But it was they. Her friends. Her family. That gave her Starfire. Embracing them on earth and into their home. The Titan Tower. So many good memories there was there. Then Victor mentioned Wulfen? Kory had little clue as to who or what this Wulfen was. A person? No most defiantly not. If it was a superhero, must be someone new. Kory had been away from Earth for sometime and well wasn't as if Kory really followed. Tracked the world. She did watch the news, when she could understand it.
"No. I. Don't believe I have. Should I know him? I'm sorry if I don't recall... I'm tamaranean, we don't live in the past and so we forget a lot of things when we not around them. Or haven't something to keep it familiar. So I might have forgotten if I did, but no. I don't recall."
Her eyes searched pondering if perhaps she had known this person and had forgotten. She had forgotten a few things while gone, but upon seeing them again. On her return. Kory remembered again, but this no. It was something she just couldn't recall. Not that her tamaranean trait probably made sense to him, but it was just how it was. Having little control of it, most of the time. Which was why it helped keeping Dick Grayson's suits. So he wouldn't be forgotten entirely. Someone like him. Kory would need to be gone a very long time to properly forget and the thing was. Kory didn't want to forget.

"No its not mockery." He said. "Its just a gimmick they chose to be different then the rest of the people on this planet. We humans don't actually know alot about what's beyond our planet." Then he thought abit. "Come to think of it we don't know a whole lot about our own planet." He said. "It seems like the more we learn the less we know." He couldn't help but grin at that comment.
Even though he was talking and still staying active his mind was more jumbled then it had ever been before. His mind kept going back to the kiss. And the fact that he was given the kiss by an alien, a very beautiful alien, gave the kiss a much deeper impact in his mind. He had a feeling that he would never forget Kory now.
"Yeah.... Plus finding a place with more candy then the general store would be kinda nice." He said with a happy grin. "And trust me I know what its like running into alley after alley" He added.
He found himself looking into Kory's eyes. At least what a human would call eyes. He wasn't sure if her kind had a different name for them. But it didn't really matter. They were very beautiful and lovely eyes. He couldn't stop himself from gazing at them. He started to wonder if she had a boyfriend. Then he felt a tingle as Lupin started celebrating the fact that Victor was thinking that again after what happened last time he felt this way about a woman. It didn't matter if the woman was from another race. And Victor felt the same way.
"Well I don't know what its like in a tropical land. Like I said I was born and raised in a big forest. I know what a winter wonderland looks like. Along with a desert and the beach." He said. He managed to stop thinking of the kiss just long enough to try and think of weather or not her planet was a beautiful as she is. But then he mind went back to the kiss.
He found his gaze lingering on her for abit longer before he dug into the nearest pie. "Mmmmmmm Apple." He said. "Its not as American as some people would have you believe." He said. "I've heard of the Titans. I never really followed them that closely. I was after all an entire nation away. But if I remember correctly there was. You, Robin," He paused and closed his eyes and laughed abit as he realized that the blind fold was resting on his forehead. "A guy named Cyborg." He thought abit longer and then his eyes snapped back open in triumph. "And two others. Raven and Beast Boy right?" He asked. Then he looked at her. "How did you get Starfire?" He asked putting his glasses back on. And feeling struck by how much more beautiful she looked when he put them on.
He wasn't all that phased by her answer to his question about Wulfen. "Well......" he said then after a pause. "He's kinda new to the scene................ Another way I could say that is that you probably haven't heard of him because I'm new to the scene." He said finally. "Well quite a few humans don't really pay attention to history. But in each and every culture on Earth we respect those that came before us. And we greatly respect those that risk their lives." He said. "And there are some like me that absolutely love history. Then there are just as many that don't care about it in the least."
Victor found himself gazing into her eyes again. He didn't know why he was doing it. All he knew is that he was. He also knew that the longer he looked into her eyes the more and more he wanted to ask her out to a movie or something. Or rather find out when he could next see her again after they were finished with their time together. And in his state. He didn't want their time together to end. He didn't care if there was another kiss involved or not. He just found himself wanting to be with her. But he thought that another kiss would be nice. 'Why am I so hung up on the kiss?' He asked himself and Lupin.
'Well I think you know why my little friend.' Lupin replied.
In response to Lupin's reply Victor's eyes widened. He didn't mean to widen his eyes. But he never thought that this would happen in his life again. Part of him wanted to run away right there. But he didn't............ He looked away from Kory's eyes and back at the pie. He took another bite and felt himself starting to calm down....... So he took another bite and calmed down some more. Then he faced another problem. Two actually. The first could be solved easily.
"This is good pie." He said after swallowing. There he "explained" the sudden rise in pie eating he was doing.
"Is there anything we can drink with this?" He asked with a chuckle. That was the second problem. After eating that much pie that quickly. He had to wash it down.

It was very nice. Very warm. With the heat filling the room with that cosy feeling, but not blistering hot. Just nice for the skin. Not really any sense of cold. Nor chills. Plus the smell of the pies was helping. With them heat and bringing the friskily baked smell as if someone had used the kitchen. Well, that was half true. Kory knew more about how ti use a kitchen than when she first arrived on Earth, but it was a little like hit and miss. Kory relaxed more into her seating as Victor reassured her it was not mockery. It was a gimmick. Which along the road was some form of sarcasm or at least something funny. Kory was sure. Which over time had rubbed on her, but having returned she had to get used to it a little more. Humans were different generally with their emotions.
"In that case it sounds rather exciting, humans do have quite a sense of humour and it has rubbed on me, despite my race never had sarcasm… Earth is a very young world in a very old universe. Your still growing, discovering yourselves and as like all worlds. There are many things that are right and wrong. Doesn't make Earth any less wonderful."
It was true Kory knew quite a lot of space. She didn't know all of it. As the universe was so vast. It wasn't an overall bad thing in her mind that Earth didn't know. It would come to know in time. Kory expressed friendly. Kindly. There was bad. Wrong in this world, but there was also good. Right. It was much the same in every world. For there wasn't a world that had it so perfectly. Even Tamaran, which was like a paradise. For 100s of years, there no war, just peace, but there was things wrong. Mistakes happen. In all. This planet was wonderful. It could be very beautiful. Kory smiled at the thought. There was always hope. Humanity was quite a strength. Who could forget a certain Green Lantern and he wasn't the only one. There came the buzz from Victor it quite warmed her heart, well warmed her even more. Just as excited to find more candy. It was always a good thing.
"One can never have too much candy… I'd pleasantly surprised if Gotham has some sort of candy land… A candy land, now that would be something magical. Trees growing cupcakes and a river of chocolate, it be never ending… That is generally why I prefer to fly, plus it's fun."
Not being coy about it. Or trying to sugar coat it. Flying was simply just fun. Not that walking wasn't. She could fly since birth and it just comes naturally. Still always wonderfully exciting. Relaxing at times. Kory spoke to Victor with an insight smile. With upon the envision of a candy land. The amount of the talks of candy it was just a given, Kory almost shrugged. Yet she was too excited to. Cupcakes well. Weren't a candy, but it was sweet as candy in Kory's mind. Hmmm. Clouds of Cotton Candy. She would then hardly ever come down from the sky. Kory giggle shortly. Not paying much attention with his quite wolf eyes upon her own. Ok. She noticed a little, but it hardly made her uncomfortable. Just blushing a little. As he seemed pleased. Liking what he saw. There was no harm. It was just looking after all. From what she could tell he had no death stares. Giggling a little more. Also a little amused as Victor looked with such intent. Perhaps a conversation with Lupin. About her eyes. Noting some form of curiosity, but then maybe. Just maybe. He didn't meet many of her kind all that often, but Kory maybe guessing on that. She sarcastically thought.
"It is like many large beaches and forests. In Tamaran it was left mostly untouched, we lived in and around it. As I mentioned. Tahiti is the closet that reminds me of Tamaran, but it isn't by means exact."
Kory was sure she explained enough about what Tamaran was. Though really unless seen it was not really experienced and sadly it was gone. Its description of the Tropical Paradise was what was known through out the galaxies. Those that knew of Tamaran whether by account or whispers. It was quite the most paradise world or once was. No real winters to speak of. Or deserts. Tahiti was very close. Still not a match, but it was stunning itself. Kory was pleased, beyond more than pleased to see Victor digging into the pies. A very nice one, by the sounds. Hearing the cracking of pastry as the apple and was that cinnamon that filled the air? Then along came Victor's soundtrack to how much he was really liking it. Kory joyfully laughed. It was amusing her. As she dug into a little more of the Key lime pie. Before turning onto the Pecan pie. With such a mix of lovely smells. Maybe the practising had worked a little, Victor didn't seem too over powered. He was enjoying it after all.
"Really? What are it's origins?"
Never had the origins of an apple pie come to Kory's mind. Other than it tasted good and well, she was generally in America when she ever tasted one. As she asked curiously then where would it be from. Not that it would make it any less good. As Kory dug a little more in the pie she was eating. As Victor spoke of the Titans. His knowledge. Or at least what he knew. More Who he knew. Or more heard of. She smiled softly as he spoke of being a nation away. Well not living in New York would make one more out of the Titan circle, of course. Every name. Kory's eyes lit up a little more. She knew. She remembered. Robin now Nightwing. Cyborg. Raven. Beast Boy or was he Changeling now? Hmmm. Her family. It was a sweet thought, but it wasn't all of the titans. There had been a few. Some temporary Titans. Some more hands on so to speak, but Victor had heard of a few of them.
"You are righton those, there are more Titans. Such as Wonder Girl, Aqualad, Red Arrow and Kid Flash… My teammates actually gave me the name Starfire. It mostly has to do with my hair, it creates a contrail when I'm flying. Like a shooting star.
Adding happily with a fond smile. Recalling her friends. Her family. Donna Troy the one most like a sister. Raven could almost be considered. Kory sure did love her, but then Raven was well Raven. They were a extraordinary bunch of heroes. Of warriors. Smiling softly as Victor regained footing on the blind fold. Before taking it off and left watching him putting his glasses on and suddenly Kory felt clearer. As Kory told Victor how The Titans had named her that. Called her Starfire. It had much to do with how her hair motioned while flying or even just through quick reflexes, but mostly seen when flying. Her powers were ultimately very star based. Given the possibility of a supernova. Listening in as with a pause… Victor finally spoke of whom this Wulfen was. New to the scene? What scene? Kory had to half question. 'I'm'. So he was Wulfen? Like Wolf. It made some sense. Kory still had no clue what a Wulfen was. Some sort of code, maybe.
"So your Wulfen or a Wulfen? What exactly is Wulfen? Are you like heroic type?… On Tamaran we respected the past. The History, but we did not live there. Nor did we dwell on it. We lived. I live for the present…"
How Kory was with the past. The history was different than humans. Tamaran was simply different. At given times Kory can be quite forgetting. Certain things can help her recall if needed. Such a scent. It was always believed on Tamaran focusing on what was, would be a distraction. One had to be aware of everything presently, but of course they respected the past. Just didn't dwell on it. Kory smiled as Victor spoke of loving history. Kory wasn't that much in the desire of reliving the past. To dig through so much, but she could respect that Victor did. Whom was still watching her green Tamaranean eyes. Something seemed caught. Whether in his faze or at his tongue. She wasn't entirely sure.
"Victor, you seem very curious about something. Was there maybe something you wished to ask me?"

Victor hadn't really noticed the warmth in the room. He was alittle more preoccupied by the warmth that Kory was showing. After all she was the first person he had told about Lupin. And she didn't think less of him about it
"Yeah we are a rather interesting bunch." He said laughing. He had seen many different examples of just that. "I'm a human and I have trouble understanding it at times." He said grinning. "So if you have trouble figuring us out. Don't feel bad..." He added. "But I'll try to help as much as I can."
"And as for Earth.........." He said thoughtfully then after he paused. "In my opinion........ Is the most beautiful planet in the Milky Way." He said gazing into the distance. Then he snapped his focus back on where he was. "Of course I haven't ever seen another." He added with a slight laugh. "So Earth is really the only planet I've ever seen....... In person. I don't count pictures." He added.
When he heard Kory talk about Gotham having a candy land he couldn't help about Willy Wanka. "That would be a very interesting sight." He said. "I've never seen anything like that."He was laughing as he said that. Then when Kory talked about flying Victor felt a very slight feeling of jealously. It was a friendly kind of jealously. "I've always wanted to fly. I've flown a single engine plane. But they were lessons. And through simulators I've flow abunch of flying machines. But I would love to know what its like to fly without aid." He said. "Sometimes I wonder if I could fly if Lupin was a bird." He added.
Victor listened to Kory describe her home and imagined what it was like. He felt a feeling of deep sorrow that a world like that was destroyed. He also had the feeling that the would had to be a breathtaking sight. After all Kory came from that world.
Then Victor shrugged while taking a bite when Kory asked about the origin of Apple Pie. "Honestly I don't know... I just know that its older then the US. Along with Baseball." He smiled as he said that. "We just talk about it enough that we've tricked most of the world."
"Well those are the only names I know." He said. "I didn't really pay much attention to the news in New York when I lived in Texas." He paused some. "It just didn't seem important at the time." Then he quickly added. "I paid attention to the big things. But for me I mostly watched local news. Along with anything major happening in the world."
"And I might have to see that one day." He said referring to her comment about flying.
"Yes I am Wulfen." He said slowly. Not qyite sure how to go about saying this. "I'd like to think I'm a hero. But I'm not entirely sure...... I know I'm not a bad guy if that's what your asking." He said. "Well I seem to live in both the present and the past sometimes." He said grinning.
Then Kory asked what he was thinking. He felt a lump form in his throat. He was getting ready to think about something else to ask.And then he heard Lupin.
'Ask her.'
'I don't want to give her the wro-'
'Ask her.'
"Bu-'
'ASK HER.'
Then Victor kept trying to ask Kory his question but Lupin kept interrupting his train of thought. "I'm sorry I rarely do this." He said looking at Kory. Then he looked to his right. "Please shush." He snapped. "Its real hard to talk to her while you keep talking. I can't really have two conversations at once." Then he looked back at Kory with an embarrassed smile on his face. "Sorry Lupin wants me to ask if you know how to dance at all. He didn't really say what he meant but knowing him I think he means a..........." Then after an embarrassed pause. "A couples dance." He managed to trick Lupin by asking a different question then the one he was thinking. AND by saying that it was Lupin who wanted to know. And not him.
"My question is what we're you on your planet.?" He asked. "Like I'm a photographer. Your job?" He asked not meaning to sound the way he thought it sounded.

There was so much laughter. Smiled. Happiness. Joy. It was the good infectious kind. That was for sure. As Kory was in little frame to move. As though she had the desire to change into something, more light weight. Victor was seemingly hard company to simply get up and leave from. That and the pies were good as well, but the sharing of pies. Was most defiantly the valuable part about it. Knowing she was doing little to help, but any help she could lend to this skill. To this new him, she defiantly could. Really he was all new to her. Although there was that familiar feel of a friend. Which Kory couldn't help smile about. At him. His nature. It was not really what she had seen much of the tales of wolves. With that Victor we confirmed. Stating he was a human. One of the kindest she might have met… Licking some cream from her fingers. She wasn't the more elegant of eaters at the best of times, but eating was always meant to be fun. Oh. X'hal. Kory thought. As cream fell just before heading down south of her top. Quickly catching it with her finger. It least didn't taste worse by any means. As sweetly smiled to Victor. Wondering if he was having just as much fun as she was and they were only sitting on the floor eating pies.
"That maybe because your all different… Although for me, you do all look rather the same… Gratitude. I would much appreciate help when needed... Robin has been most helpful in the years I have been here, to help guide me on Earth."
Kory commented on him not understand his own race entirely. There was always that saying they put that they were all different. In ways everyone was different. Although they all looked rather the same to Kory. Not that she couldn't tell them apart, but they sort took the same form for her. It was sweet he offered to help her and Kory wouldn't deny that help. If he was so kind to offer it. Robin or now Nightwing. She was unsure if the world knew that Robin was the same Robin anymore. Dick really hadn't set her down and told her this yet, she just realised. That be a loop needed to take her, but he was one very big key to her connection on Earth. Who from the moment she arrived. Showed her quite a lot of what Earth was. There was a lot to cover. Things Kory would be forever picking up, but Kory understood the bases. Or if she didn't. She accepted them. The customs. Just as it would be expected if humans visited Tamaran. They would have to accept the customs. The laws and so forth. That was seemingly very poetic of Victor. Kory perked up as he spoke of Earth. The milky way. So he knew what it was! That maybe a tough call. Considering there is billions of planets within this way of milk. Kory couldn't help find the name too cute. It really didn't look like milk when you got closer. This pride. This love of his planet. Kory could admire. Earth was extremely beautiful. Even though he hadn't seen it all. Victor knew. It was something that a tamaranean like herself, might have seen more of Earth than a lot of the humans. Kory laughed gently as Victor spoke of pictures of planets. Of course they don't count. That's just the shell.
"Every time I hear Milky Way, makes me want to eat it… Earth just might be the beautifulest in the Galaxy… Though there are more planets than you could have imagined in the universe. You don't need to look for them. You already have a beautiful home."
It was hard not to think of eating the Milky Way when they were also talking of candy. Imagining candy. Of all sorts. A beautiful candy land. Although it would happily surprise her if there was one in Gotham. Might be a trick. Kory tried to laugh. In New York. There defiantly was a candy land like shop. Perhaps The Amusement Park in Gotham would be some form of Candy Land. She was yet to really experience it. Well not since some years back when Dick took her on a date in Gotham. There were of course more dates. Kory's eyes dropped slightly. Half lost within the pies. As she recalled the moment Dick was ready to date her. Finally. Not only was she super excited, there was no surprise there. Half rolling her eyes. Dick was as well and one of the first things. He did. Was take her to Gotham. Showing her this world. He was a part of. This city. It was very much a part of him. As New York. The titans was. And this Bludhaven. Though the memories of the first time here with him. Really with him. Were very sweet.
"I do believe there was a planet I saw once, but it wasn't candy. Most defiantly not… I think if you had one all made of chocolate, it need to be a cold planet. I think I would strictly visit in that case. One can only eat so much anyway. Though I am sure I could live in a land made of Cotton Candy, but it might not last very long. It might all disappear. "
As Kory tried to recall. This Planet. Shook her head. It defiantly was not candy. As she put her fork down for a moment. Slightly not hungry for a moment, but she knew her appetite would soon return. She then amused herself as she spoke of Chocolate planets and one made out of Cotton Candy. It was quite a thought. A simple lick of the cotton candy and the planet would quake. Then she giggled. Something so sweet could prove disartious.
"It's just something I was born with. I do love it. If you would like to fly… I can take you with me sometime, if you''d like?"
Kory saw the bit of jealousy about her flying and he could not. Just as she was bit jealous he could smell pies from such a distance. Flying he didn't need it. He had plenty that made him Victor. Though if he wanted to fly. Kory could always carry him. Hold his hand. Or something along those lines. Then he could feel somewhat like he was flying. Although she hardly flew like a bird. If he wanted to know what a bird felt like. He was maybe best to ask Hawkgirl. Kory flew rather differently. More like a shooting star or a ball of energy. It wasn't something to question. She was meant to fly. Unlike her sister she gathered who wasn't born able to fly. Although after the experiments. Komand'r could now fly. She just had a terrible envious nature. Something Kory hardly had.
"Well I hardly imagine it matters where it comes from. Just as long as it came. As Apple Pie was meant to be shared. It's very good. I'm sure this one, was made in Gotham."
It was good. Really good. Who or what ever caused it to come to this land. Kory was just happy it did. But this one. Kory was sure. Was born more locally. It hardly seemed like a terrorist, if ever a pie could be. Kory was a little unsure the need to know where a pie comes from other than if it might be the deadly kind. Then slightly amused at an army of pies, but that was defiantly unlikely. They were just pies. Which she re found her appetite. As she dug into some more pies. Keeping her ears listening to Victor's words. About the Titans. The news. Kory really hadn't kept up with the news in some time.
"That's ok, Texas is some distance… They're my closest friends on this planet… No actually, They're more like family!… Well, then. It is very nice to meet you Wulfen… I do not see any bad guy in your eyes, so I'd say hero, Victor… If your unsure, your moment will come when the world knows it… I believe it can be harder for humans to let go."
Kory could understand why he didn't know all her friends names or probably even faces. Or well masks in most cases. He was worlds apart. Dealing with his own life. No biggie. Though they were family away from Tamaran and they were important to her. Kory then brushed the crumbs from her hand and extended to shake his again. To officially welcome this Wulfen. Now officially knowing his two sides. Or was it three? Did Lupin count as the third? Or was he more Wulfen? Kory wasn't overly sure. Though as her green eyes looked to his eyes. She only saw how kind and generous this man was. Most defiantly not someone that was on the bad list. If he wasn't a hero yet. Kory couldn't put it past him to quite become that. A hero was generally made in the moment. Then came a little more silence. Kory was assuming Victor was thinking his words or most likely talking to Lupin. After Kory had asked. So there was something? As Kory put her fork down as Victor then began to speak. She was sure it was going to be something important. As Kory smiled. Although a little flushed as to what exactly was happening. As he shushed her. Putting up her finger in protest that she hadn't spoken. Then. 'Oh'. Lupin. So he defiantly was talking to Lupin. Smiling again as Victor was trying so hard to bring out the words. A dance? Kory wasn't really sure how that came to their minds, but it came. Kory smiled again. As found it yet a very innocent thing to ask and to then answer.
"Lupin, I do love and know how to dance… I do love to dance with someone other than myself. It generally is a lot more fun… Oh you mean, romantic kind… I defiantly like that kind. Robin used to take me dancing all the time. I very much enjoyed… Um. Is Lupin trying to ask me to dance? How would that work when he doesn't have, you know…? Legs!"
Nor a body for that matter. As Kory whispered. As not to offend Lupin by any means. After she had addressed Lupin himself about that fact Kory quite loved to dance. Whether greatly was hard to say. Of course she loved dancing with other people, though she wasn't apposed to dancing by herself either. Couples dance? Kory was sure was meaning more romantic. More what Dick and Kory did on a lot of their dates. That were some happy memories of him taking her out for some dancing. Although it wasn't generally slow. It was a lot of times, clubs, but sure slowness came. The closeness was generally always there and Kory was not apposed to getting closer to Dick.
"Oh certainly… On Tamaran I was heir to the throne. So I guess that would have been my occupation. Although it was more a birthright. I was born Princess Koriand'r…"
Kory happily answered Victor's question. Not that princess was much of an occupation, but sure it was her role on Tamaran since she was born. She had started everything she needed to become Queen eventually. Before becoming a slave and eventually Komand'r some years later became queen. Kory was unable to return after her escape as upon her return would have destroyed the treaty and the protection of Tamaran. At least at that time.
