Victor thought about what Kory had said about humans all looking the same to her. He thought about it and grinned abit. "I will admit. Despite all the politics and wars and borders. We are alot alike." He said. When he thought about it he couldn't help but think of a prime example. "For example the United States and the Soviet Union had more in common then people realize and they were enemies." He grinned at that comment. He always enjoyed history. And talking about it as well. Though he did get carried away at times.
Victor smiled at her comment about eating the Milky Way. "That would be a sight to see. Though it might be easier to drink it." He said trying hard not to laugh. "And don't forget the cookies." He felt a sense of humbleness when she said that Earth was one of the most beautiful planets. "Really? It is?" He asked he then thought about a video he watched one time that showed the different places and environments on planet Earth and a slight smile crossed his lips. "Despite all that happens here it is a nice place." He said softly lost in thought. Then he smiled at her comment about not needing to look for others. "Well I heard that the reason we humans look to the stars and want to go to other worlds is because 'God lives up above us. And we want to be closer to him. The Devil lives below us. And we want to avoid him.'" He said with a grin. "Or what ever your chosen religion has." He grinned.
"A Cotton Candy planet?" He asked amused. "That I gotta see." He added. "And your probably right. It wouldn't last long."
Then she talked about being born with the ability to fly. And again he felt a hit of friendly jealously. Then when she offered to take him on a flight sometime he felt that jealously turn to nervousness. 'Fly without a floor?' He thought. "Well...... I wouldn't want to weigh you down or anything." He said. "And also I don't see how I would be able to go with you without.... uhh...... messing up your...... uhhh....... flight path." In reality he was more then eager to know how it felt. And he really was afraid that going with her would make it harder for her to fly. But the over riding concern he had was how he would react being in contact with her for a long period of time. He always had that concern.
He smiled at her comment about Apple Pies. "Yeah I agree. Its just a little fact I picked up somewhere." He said. "Its one of the most trivial things I know." Then he grinned. "And that's what makes it so fun." Then he took another bite of the pie. When he looked down at the pie he realized that he had eaten almost the entire pie. Before he tool another bite he swallowed and looked at Kory. "Would you like a piece?" He offered.
Her comment about Texas being a a ways off from New York made him think back to his days there. "Yeah we didn't really get a lot of people like the Titans down there. Or at least I never heard of them." He said and then her comment about family made him think of he uncle. "Well.... I sometimes wonder weather I would have met Lupin if my uncle hadn't died." He said. "But no matter Lupin has filled that role really well. I guess you can say he's my family." He added with a grin.
Then he shook her hand again. "If you ever come across a guy dressed along the lines of a werewolf don't attack him. That's me." He said with a grin. "I'm not entirely sure how I would react in a situation that would make me a hero." He said truthfully.
As Kory replied to the question about dancing Victor felt his cheeks start to burn more and more. "Yeah well....... He was just wanting me to ask......... uhhhhh.. .At least that's what he said." Was what Victor was able to say.
'Its not the question I wanted you to ask but it will do.' Lupin said.
And Victor's cheeks burned even more. He knew that he was blushing. There was no question about it. His face was now red as a lobster.
Then she answered his question about her career. "Heir to th-" He started to repeat mulling it over in his head. Then it dawned on him what she meant. 'She's a princess?' was the frantic thought that ran through his head. And he being a Texan had no idea how to behave around royalty. So instead of changing the way he was acting he straightened his back trying not to look disrespectful. "Well I'm sure you would have made a great Queen." He said trying to picture her in a crown and sitting on a throne. And after the times he had spent with her he simply couldn't imagine it. But there was one thing that came up in his mind. 'Well she's much more beautiful then any princess on Earth.' He thought. Then his eyes widened slightly as he realized something. 'I was kissed by royalty!?' He still knew that it was only a friendly kiss. But it was the first one he ever had. And now that royalty was involved he had a harder time getting his mind to calm down about it. "I'm sorry but I don't know the proper way to behave around a princess." He managed to say with a somewhat shy smile.

There was that swift sound that came through Victor's voice. It was comforting and it was becoming familiar. Yes, quite possibly. She could call him up tomorrow and know for sure it was him. Wait. She didn't even have his number. That's if he had one. She was sure. As her eyes ran over him, that he had one. Had to make sure to catch it before he left. If in fact he was ever leaving and as Kory sat listening to him. She wasn't sure she wanted him to leave. Not so soon. He was really kind. Very entertaining. Happily catching every grin. He really did enjoy history. Kory could tell with how his eyes lit up and the way he spoke. Perhaps he could be the exception of someone living in the past. As it seemed to work for him. With what she could tell. He found joy in that. Joy was something very key on Tamaran and something Kory loved to express. Loving even more to be around it. Around people such as Victor.
"Humans can be very fascinating…Victor, you really do know and enjoy the history… I don't know why even if I don't understand it, I like listening to you telling it."
What could Kory say? Was much in her mind as she sweetly found her words. Much of what Victor spoke Kory caught, some sort of went over her head, but she enjoyed listening to him. Even after he spoke. Kory could see the blush to his cheeks. It was sweet to see. As was his smile as he laughed about the milky way. Kory returned with her own smile. Half imagining if there was a spot in the sky made of milk. The universe could be quite different. Kory silently laughed. Her mind envisioning the planets as cookies just then Victor mentioned just that. Which brought up the rise of her joyful laugh. Upon which came Victor's question. Kory looked upon him kindly, as if he needed to ask. It defiantly was one of. It helped make all these pies. This Earth brought humans, Kory considered her family and if not for Earth. There be no Victor.
"Oh. Yes. I do love cookies… Of course… Victor. Earth isn't the only planet that has dark corners. Within there is always hope… I cannot deny your religions… Although, the universe is extremely large. Its difficult to say which it up or down… On Tamaran we worshipped X'hal, the living battle goddess. She's still worshipped in the Vegan System and she is who I believe."
Kory was really beginning to feel her sweet tooth. As she commented with a bright vibrant smile. It was nice to realise with her time away from Earth, she had missed some of these Earthy things. With the given Religions. Kory couldn't say whether or not they were true. Though she didn't believe in them. There were quite a few religions throughout the universe. Many were real. Although she had to to question whether someone was above, when it was hard most of the time knowing where up was. As Kory commented amusing even when she's been in space so many times. It really was just so dark to tell. Happily admitting Tamaran and herself believed in X'hal. Unlike many of the Earth religions. X'hal was proven to be true. She had once lived. Died and was brought back with energy attacks to her body. Bringing her to life. She was quite a force. Not that as Kory told Victor, could really convince him of her. X'hal was just of another Galaxy.
"It would defiantly smell nice and very sweet… It just happens to be my favourite kind of candy. If not a planet, maybe make a bed of it one day. Again, it probably be gone in a Flash."
There was the sweet pick up in Kory's voice. Cotton candy was just something she vastly enjoyed. It tied to fond memories and plus it was fun to eat. It had that smell. As her eyes ran over Victor with a smile. She could only imagine the smell of Cotton Candy in his nose. Or, well maybe not. Kory thought amusingly. He did have a rather unique nose after all… Kory dug her fork into some more pie. Eating some more. Licking the cream again from her fingers. As she took that extra bite. Kory took her time swallowing it. Found Victor's comments on flying, after sweet. Saw the range of his nerves from his head. Well almost to his toes. They were covered up. He mustn't know much about Starfire, then. As her green eyes looked over him. He didn't look that heavy. Looking between all the pies, maybe he might in a bit.
"Oh, Victor. I am stronger than I look."
Kory spoke his name with the gentle amused shake of her head. As her orange hand that had held the fork, let go. Before it slid and disappeared under the couch. With little effort, the couch rose a couple inches from the ground. It was just a matter her elbow couldn't bend any further that way, but simply proving her point. He couldn't mess up her flight, unless he seriously distracted her and she accidentally flew into a tree. Then that was hardly going to happen. As Kory then lowered the couch back to the ground. Now she was super strong. Not by any means the strongest. So unless Victor was stronger, Kory was sure he'd almost be like lifting a feather. A special kind of feather. Kory smiled. Not that she was trying to show off as her hand gently brushed the hair behind her ear that had fallen out of place. Her back then fell against the couch again. Found her eyes wandering between Victor and the pie. Before mostly watching Victor. Finding his words just too sweet. So happy. Admired as he ate the pie and then stopped. Felt the gentle butterflies as he offered.
"You're really smart, Victor. I hardly imagine it is the only thing you know… I would love a piece. Would you maybe like a piece of this pie? I quite love the lemony taste."
How could she simply say no? As Kory responded sweetly as her eyes looked to his pie and to him. She needn't all of it, but she couldn't refuse a kind offer. With that she offered a piece of the pie before her. Which there were a few, but the lemon Meringue stood out. A pie for a pie. Kory innocently thought. As she motioned the pie towards him, if he'd like. Her fork having just dug in before. She lent it out for him as well to eat, if he liked. Felt the moment sort of fall a little extra sweeter. As Victor spoke of Texas. Kory smiled softly. She could understand. Texas probably had their own heroes after all. Maybe Victor was one of them. As she half eyed him. Then Victor spoke of family as Kory felt that little more inches of closeness. Of this newly founding friendship. The lose of his uncle, but the gain of Lupin.
"So you really are close with Lupin. That's very nice to hear and sounds Lupin came in the right time, when you needed him. I'm sorry about your Uncle… I'm sure you'll find others to call family. Who knows… We might!"
There were probably plenty for Victor to meet. Friends maybe right here in Gotham. She smiled. Half rolling her shoulders. That maybe one day they might consider each other family. Kory could be quite sure, they could become friends. If they weren't already. Kory just didn't mean the family, Victor might had thought she meant. That kind of family, Kory had only really one desire. Without him in this world. There was quite possibly no world. At least not for her. As Kory felt the firm and yet gentle shake of Victor's hand. Finding herself smiling along with him as he spoke of a werewolf costume and suddenly Kory was picturing someone entirely different. He had said wolf before, but really? How much more wolf like can he get? Then finding his last words rather ironic and also charming.
"I'll make sure to keep that in mind… I'm guessing your not like the werewolf in the last film I saw… It didn't look very friendly… I'm not sure anyone knows the correct way to react, but I'm sure you'd handle it just perfectly… Oh, certainly. How did he like my answer?"
Victor in a werewolf outfit, Kory smiled. She just had to see it really to believe it. It would be rather exciting. To see him in all his heroic form. Yes. Kory could see it. Feel it. He was a hero. Whether or not Victor knew it. Someone so kind and giving. He just had to be the hero kind. Even if minor. It never mattered how small one did, you could still be a hero. Doing something rather than just nothing, was better. Kory shortly laughed gently as Victor burnt up at the cheeks and nervously responded to Kory's words about dancing. In which Kory understood, but it didn't answer what Lupin's response to Kory's. As she asked a little bit curious. Her eyes frowned a little playfully. He must be talking to Lupin, because his cheeks burnt a little brighter on their own. Really quite red, that Kory quickly went to the refreshments and poured Victor a glass. Handing it to him, with a reassuring smile. Then she felt he really maybe needing it. As Kory watched him realise she was a princess. Royalty. Watched the frantic look within his eyes. Yet, she remained Kory where she sat. She giggled softly. As Victor straightened up. It was cute. Kory felt her own gentle blush at Victor's words.
"Thank-you, Victor. That's incredibly kind of you to say. I had to give it up to protect my planet or they would have suffered had I broken the treaty… Komand'r, my sister became queen and still is. I believe she survived the explosion with some remaining of our kind… You don't have to worry, Victor. You've been wonderfully kind in your behaviour to me already. In a way, yes I will always be a princess, but I am still Kory."

Victor felt a shy grin cross his face when Kory told him about how he seemed to know and like history alot. "Yeah..... I've been told that I do." He said and he also realized that his voice came across as shy. "I don't actually mean to talk about it so much though." He barely managed to stop himself from saying what part of history he liked and he wasn't sure if he already had.
Then when Kory brought up the fact that she believed in a Battle Goddess named X'hal he frowned. But it wasn't a frown that said he was turning her away. Instead it was a frown that said "who's that?" "X'hal?" He asked. "How do you worship her?" He added. He was always interested in learning about new places, cultures and religions. And even though he was a Christan he was always more then willing to go to see a worship service for a different religion or see a ritual for a different religion. Though he wasn't sure if he would be able to last long when it came to a service for a Battle Goddess. He smiled as he listened to her describe this X'hal person. Or whatever her title would be. "You seem very proud of X'hal." He said not quite sure if it had come across the way he had meant for it to come across.
Then he gave a huge smile when she brought up the idea of a cotton candy planet and that it would be gone in a flash. "Yeah well if it wasn't then a human would find it and call it something like....." He paused for a few seconds thinking. "XJ7-W339S" He waved his hands around as he said that showing that he was coming up with that as he said it. "Or something really boring like that." He then laughed after he finished saying that.
Then Victor almost choked on the piece of pie he had in his mouth when Kory lifted the couch off the ground. He couldn't help but laugh with slight disbelief when he saw what he saw. But as far as he could tell it wasn't a trick/
'How come you made my nose and ears stronger but not me?' He quickly asked Lupin.
'I'm a wolf not a elephant.' Was Lupin's reply. And it was in a tone that showed that he was just as amazed as Victor.
"Well I'm not nearly that strong." He said in disbelief. "I'd need some kinda lever or something to lift a couch by myself."
When Kory accepted his pie offer he started to slide the pie over to her. Then he froze up slightly when she not only slid the pie she was offering over to him. But she also was offering a piece from the fork she had been using. He wished that he could say that his mind was working quickly at that moment to decide but in reality it was more saying. 'What do I do? What do I do?' Over and over rapidly. After a few seconds of nervous and somewhat tense hesitation he finally was saved by Lupin who calmly told him to take a bite. And in reaction he took the piece on the fork. Then without truly realizing what he was doing he offered Kory a piece on his fork. Then his cheeks started to burn even more. When he tried to say thank you all he could manage was a soft quite mumble.
Then Kory asked about how he and Lupin were close. "Yes we are. We kinda get on each other's nerves from time to time. But other then that we really get along." He said. Then after a pause he decided he would tell her just how important it was that Lupin came into his life. "I was actually about to turn to a life of crime when I met him." He said softly. "He said that he chose me because not only was I 'easy to relate to' but also because he sensed I needed someone else in my life who would be a real friend." He said then after a few seconds he thought he should explain what he meant by' real friend' "You see not counting my relatives. Lupin is the first being to ever truly be a friend of mine. Everyone else had ulterior motives."
Then he smiled abit when Kory said that one day they might be able to call one another family. He knew logically what she meant. That they would be able to call each other friends and partners. Like her with the Titans. But then there was a part of him who took it literally and thought she meant in a different way. This conflict inside him only left him confused. Which wasn't an entirely new feeling for him.
Then Kory asked about him as a werewolf. "No nothing like that." He said with a grin. "I picked werewolf because I knew that the odds of me wining a straight up fight isn't really all that high." he said then after a pause "So I figured that if I could scare the guy I'm fighting enough he would give up and no one would get hurt." Then he gave a laugh. "So far no luck there. Its times like those I'm glad I know where the pressure points are." Then he gave a nervous laugh. "yes he really liked your answer." He felt his cheeks burn alittle more. And he knew Lupin wasn't going to step in now.
He took a sip out of the drink she offered and thanked her for it. Then he felt his heart flutter as he heard her giggle. He also smiled wider when she said that she was still Kory. "Well Kory. Your the first bit of royalty I've ever met. And I never thought I would meet royalty so I'm highly inexperience in that arena. So I'm glad your not going to hold that over me." He added with a happy and somewhat shy grin. "Treaties are terrible that way aren't they?" He asked with a slight grin. "I know alot of the treaties on Earth are kinda one sided. Even if they claim to be fair to all parties involved."
His mind then put everything about his reactions to her together. And he realized what he had been feeling. He was in love......... He felt another feeling appearing inside him......... worry......... He was afraid. He was afraid of the possibility that she was already with someone... He was afraid that if she wasn't then it would turn out to be like the woman he thought liked him in college. He didn't know if Kory could tell what he was feeling or thinking at the time. But he wasn't actively trying to hide it. And the reason was he couldn't do much at the moment but worry. He tried not to let it influence how he behaved. But he wasn't sure how good of a job he would be doing with it.

There was no hiding from his shy grin along with the rest of his shyness. There was a lot there. Kory smiled brightly. Felt his words were very sweet. As if he was almost apologising for it. When it wasn't needed. Despite the differences, Kory could easily accept they were different and enjoy the fact he well enjoyed history. Even if Kory knew little of the history. As Dick had said, it was brought across the world. Many histories. Kory mostly focused on knowing the present. Of course the customs. There Kory could almost feel Victor holding back. There be plenty of time to tell her a tale, Kory was sure. As that's what the history things seemed like most of the time. Just stories.
"Oh.. Victor. It is fine. Really... I don't mind listening to it. Especially when you enjoy telling it so much... I can respect the history, even if in most cases here I don't understand."
Trying to kindly reassure she didn't mind. Not really in the slightest. She enjoyed when he talked. He was an interesting human. Man. Wolf and all of above. Kory concluded. He just had to not be surprised if Kory didn't know what he was talking about half the time. At least far as all these histories. Sure if they hadn't of happened then the present could have been very different. Kory looked to Victor curiously. Catching his frowning and as he asked about X'hal. Kory's face lightened and smiled. It was only fair that he wouldn't know Tamaranean history.
"X'hal. Was born eons ago on the planet Okaara. Upon an invasion by the Psions, they made X'hal a prime use in their experiments. X'hal was killed. The psion then experimented on her body. Eventually converting her mind into pure energy. Which brought her back to life. Though during her lifeless state, gave time for X'hal to become revengeful. Destroying the Psions, she was embraced greatly as a goddess, until she turned on her own people... X'hal even destroyed 3 out of 25 planet in the system, it took thousands of lives... Eventually, she was captured and brought under control by who are now known as the warlords of Okaara, who trained me... We worship her, as she is a great force. But she let revenge consume her too much... It isn't exactly pride, more how we live and don't in our day to day life."
Kory was sure it may have escaped Victor's mind. The tale of X'hal was a big one, but she was sure she hit the main point. She was a goddess once greatly beloved, when she not only escaped death, but destroyed an enemy. Was greatly embraced, but death had changed her. More than expect which led her to turning on her own kind. Causing such a tragic war that spread quite a large space in the system. It effected so much. They're lives greatly changed. Was why they worshipped her. It wasn't greatly pride for what she did to her people. Though within it. It brought way for the warlords, one of the fiercest warriors of the universe. She is unlike the gods of Earth. As X'hal was very much alive. Thus calling her the living goddess. It was more unlike religion, more she changed the way of life in a way. Kory was trained by these exact warlords herself. Being taught revenge wasn't the answer.
"That seems a rather technical name for something made of sugar. In any case it be gone before it could be given a name... I wouldn't put it past Flash, he has a fast appetite. Trust me. It was interesting at the titan's table. With all the other hungry appetites."
Felt the brim at her cheeks as she joked as well. That was quite a name for something so simply sweet. Was all she could think. Half imagining Wally would eat it fast. Very fast in deed. Recalling most of the titans had quite an appetite. Smiling amused recalling the fights over the food. Half the time it really was a race. Rolling her eyes. So generally there was a lot of food... Soon catching Victor's reaction to her strength. Giggling softly. As it wasn't something overly new. Well, just to him. Laughing at how he'd lift the couch. It was very cute.
"I'm sure, your as strong as you need to be Victor... Besides you don't need something overshadowing your other skills."
Most defiantly didn't need to overshadow his pie smelling skills. Kory smiled as he pushed over the pie for her. It did smell mighty good to her. She could only imagine what it smelt like for him. Felt the gentle closeness warming of this newly building friendship. Victor soft of fumbled and it was sweet. Giggling softly to herself as she could see it working over in his head and the changing in his cheeks. Shaking a little as he took the the piece right off the fork with one mouthful. Kory smiled brightly. Happy he was enjoying himself. Winked at him ever so sweetly. Before being pleasantly surprised as he took the piece from the fork. He had dug into the apple pie. To offer her it. In which Kory found it mighty sweet of him and didn't hesitate to find her mouth soon taking in the sweet taste of apples. Pastry. Moaned ever so slightly. It was very good. As even her eyes displayed that as they reopened. Smiling as he mumbled and swallowed. Still the delicious flavour lingered in her mouth.
"Thank-you!... AWWWW, it sounds like quite a friendship. I can assure you, Victor. He won't be your last friend. You just gotta have more faith in people and not punish them for their mistakes."
It really did sound like a lovely friendship. Helping each other out. Kory could greatly admire that. As he spoke of a life of crime. It hadn't shocked her greatly. A little unexpected from someone that was so kind. Even as she spoke of mistakes. She was clear that was one of them. It didn't make who he was. Smiling softly as he mentioned Lupin being the first. Just as Kory was sure he wouldn't be the last friend he would or could make. There was always room for more friends. Even the family like ones. Kory was sure she could be one of those he may consider.
"Well a lot of the winning is through trying. Whether your gifted with great skill. You are really brave and bravery is a very good thing to have. I gather I need to see you in the suit, to get the scary vibe!... Oh, I'm glad he did."
Catching Victor's nerves and blushing. Kory wasn't sure why he was, if it was Lupin's question. Then pondered maybe Lupin was saying things to make him blush. Kory blinked a little trying to picture Victor in this suit and scary. It was a leap for now, but she could easily see him so brave. He must have been victorious so far as he seemed very much in tact. Smiling softly as Victor took the glass from her hand. Feeling the gentle graze. Brush of fingers. Watched as his own smile widened. Laughed deeply at his words. Before cutting short. It was very sweet words and holding it over him. It just was very much not her. Nodding as she agreed about the treaties. Still earth might be a bit different in that way.
"I'm honoured to be your first, then. You're really too kind... Yes, well it was I guess a more personal treaty. Given it was by my sister. It was either I suffer or Tamaran suffers... My parents had to do what was best for Tamaran."
Kory remarked brightly to be the first royal if that was what she was and happy to be. It was rather one sided Kory sort of suggested in her words. Quite. As it was purely given by her sister at the time. Instructed. Kory to be a slave or Tamaran is destroyed. Having for that moment settled from the pie. Kory had lived her past. She was comfortable enough to to talk about it, but felt that edge as she was past on the dwelling part. Most of the time. There were moments here and there. When it surfaced. Quite untamaranean of her. Kory's voice was calm. Her eyes soft enough. Finding her own poured glass for a drink. Settling the glass down. So that she might dig into the pie before her. Kory was aware Victor was feeling something since she met him, but she couldn't pin point exactly what it was. Maybe it was just him. He was just friendly and very kind.

Victor felt himself still grinning. But it was getting shier and shier. "Well I've been known to annoy others." He said, "Its one way I'm always able to win history based games." He added jokingly. He didn't want to bore her with a story about something that happened before his life time. And as far as he could tell before her life time. Though when she assured him that he was droning on he felt alittle better. He felt his shy smile appear again.
When Kory told him about X'hal he leaned in to try and take in every word she said. He listened and had an interested and amused smile on his face. He didn't know why he was amused by this. It might just have had something to do with how he thought about things. And that for a being that is hailed as a living goddess, she sound almost human. "In the west that's what we call 'Old Testament wrath'" He said with a grin. The grin still had a slight hint of shyness in it. "Also I can see how that would be a good way to live your life." He said. "What's funny about our religions on Earth is that they are the cause of most of our wars." He paused and then with a slight grin. "And they all say 'Thou Shalt Not Kill' they just don't seem to listen to their own Gods do they?"
Then he laughed about Kory's comment on the name he had brought up. "Yeah well Earth scientist have kinda lost their imagination after Pluto." He said grinning. "But your right it wouldn't last long." Then after a pause. "I would like to be the one who finds it. I wouldn't go tell the world until after I get a bite or two." He grinned and let loose a laugh.
"It is quite a friendship." He said when she commented on Lupin. "Plus its nice that we can't read each other's thoughts." Then he heard Lupin make a comment. 'But I know what your thinking.'
"But he can usually tell what I'm thinking.... He can read my emotions. And he's pretty good at reading what they mean." He said shyly. He felt a stronger felling of shyness. "I'm not much stronger. But Lupin made me alittle stronger. But it was all pretty much him getting me to go work out." He said with a grin. "And when we first met he showed me how much stamina I have and how far I can run." He said laughing. "Looking back on it he did look really scary when I first met him. He was a ghost like wolf about this big." He said using his hands to so a wolf that was about 5 feet tall and about 6 feet long. "I didn't know I could run that far." He said with a smile. "But now that I know who he is and what he was up to. I don't think I would have run like that."
When she took the bite of pie from his fork and then expressed her delight in taking the bite he felt a lump form in his throat. This one was abit larger then the other ones that had formed. He tried to think about what he should do. But his mind was black. He looked at her and took in the beauty of her eyes. He tried to say something but all he managed was an incredibly shy smile.
"I don't really try to punish anyone really." He said. "In all honesty I sometimes have to wonder what I'm doing." He said looking down at the pie He found himself having a hard time looking Kory in the eye for some reason. He also was remembering what happened to him the last time he felt like this.
He felt better hearing Kory say that he was brave. It wasn't just the fact that it was Kory saying it. But rather the fact that it was someone other the Lupin saying it. It was the first time he had heard anyone outside of his head saying something like that while referring to him. He tried to look back up at Kory's face but he couldn't quite manage it well. He managed to look back up but he had a small bit of trouble looking her in the eye. It was happening to him again.
"Yeah the scary thing tends to bite me when I'm helping a little kid." Then he grinned and chuckled slightly. "And guns seem to ad an extra bit of bravery to alot of people." He gave a smile. "Which makes it useful to be agile."
He looked at her when she told him about the treaty she was forced to go along with. "Well I don't know about the rest of the world, but in the West that type of politicking has fallen out of use." He said finding confidence as he talked about it and finding himself able to look her in the eye. But then just as he finished talking about it he lost that burst of confidence and found himself averting his gaze. "I'm sorry about what happened to you." He said. "We still have trouble with things like that in some parts of the world." He said soberly.
He looked at her and got a feeling and knew that what he realized was a truly what he felt. It wasn't just a strange feeling. It was love. 'Don't think about it.' He thought Victor looked at her then back at the pie. He felt the lump in his throat growing harder, his heart racing, his cheeks burning. 'Don't think about it.' He thought again. He felt himself getting warmer and then he realized that his palms were getting sweaty. He wiped his hands together trying to get rid of the sweat. 'Don't think abo- I have to get her number.' His thoughts changed abruptly. He looked at Kory again and saw her as even more beautiful then before. 'No! Your not going through this again.' He thought but the very next thing he did was asked. "Before I forget do you have a phone?"
'What are you doing?' He frantically asked himself. Then he realized what he was doing. He was moving on.

There was a pleased smile to Kory's lips that Victor could use it to win such games. Half not wanting to challenge him, because she did not like her chances. Well. Unless it was history of the universe. Then. Only then could she stand a possible chance. Sticking some more pie on her fork. Apple. Touch of cinnamon. Hmmm. Very nice. As her finger lightly caught what almost escaped her mouth. With the polite covering with an little added smile. Finding it hardly true. Very untrue. That Victor could be annoying. Chances she wouldn't be sitting here still if he were.
"I cannot speak for another, but as for myself. You are not annoying and I can't think how you could be."
It was very sweet and endearing. As Victor leaned in to best listen to her words. Yes. Those very lengthy words. It was just how can one explain something so out of his world. Something that made pure sense or actually some parts of her own world did not, it was for lot of her life. All that she knew. Kory was just pleased she didn't go into more detail as the tale of X'hal was quite a lengthy tale. Her eyes curiously on him as if something suddenly clicked. He understood. He was infested in what she said. Lightly mouthing his own words. 'Old Testament'? She questioned. Trying to understand. Wrath? Then listened intently what he spoke of his god and religion. She could help sway to when he spoke of the 'Thou shalt not kill' phase. Then customs were just different here and from what Kory saw. Earth was more fitted to that rule than she imagined Victor could know. It just came down to certain humans if any, but Kory was trained to kill. It was something she had to overcome here or the titans would have had to hunt her down. That's not to say they believed just to go out and kill. It was just in battle with enemies.
"Perhaps the rule is to not kill just for the sake of killing.. On Tamaran we were taught to trust, never turn our backs to our friends and to show no compassion to our enemies. You'd be surprised at how opposite it is here and something I've had to adjust to. We don't believe in killing just for the sake of it, but I was trained to avoid a battle unless necessary. As when we do fight it is to the death."
With that said. Not everything on Tamaran was right. It was just in her nature. One can only overcome who they are so well. She had lost count the many times she had come close. With the Titans having to hold her back. Every now and then it sure comes back. It isn't something of thought. More emotions. She feels it and sometimes. It can be harder to control, but more and more. She had learned to hold it back. Not that Kory was all that ashamed as she told Victor. She still very much did not like showing compassion to enemies. As it almost seemed they did here. Not to mention how friends and love ones turned on each other. On Tamaran. That would hardly ever happened. Only really with her sister. Things were just different, but it didn't make her unhappy to be on earth. She could understand the need to save lives and the will of humans.
"Well, if you do happen to find it. I'd love to share that bite with you."
Pluto... It was a nice name. For such a tiny looking planet. Rather cold. Kory shivered at the thought. Made Earth feel that bit warmer. Kory couldn't help the smiled anymore than Victor could. The visual of him finding even a planet was cute. Let alone a candy made on. Laughing softly as his comment. Just with the sharing of pies. Kory would gladly share in the secret of a candy land like planet. Half imagining falling into one massive pink cloud. Nope. Kory wouldn't complain... Her smile grew upon hearing more about this friendship she had newly seen. Between Victor and the wolf in his mind. Couldn't help the soft giggle. As Victor was relieved they couldn't read each other's thoughts. Kory could understand. Some thoughts. One preferred to keep. Her green eyes shifted. As Victor sort of rephrased what he just said. Kory nodding along as it did make sense. Emotions. Something Kory could relate to. Feeling herself laugh with him. Happily listening. Could imagine how that could be scary and she softened as what Victor knew now. He seemingly would replace. That. That was a sweet thought.
"Reading emotions is also a tamaranean trait... Seems we have something in common, Lupin... Would you care to show me this Stamina sometime? It sounds like you defiantly needed each other. The fear of the unknown can be frightening... Oh, he sounds mighty wonderful as do you, Victor...To friendship? "
Kory rose her glass in hopes of a toast. To both friendships before and the newly discovered. Just like this one. As Kory smiled. Hardly surprised to hear of his stamina, but that might be something more worth seeing. Than really trying to imagine it. A challenge maybe? Laughing softly. Kory probably beat him in strength. Maybe not speed least not on foot that is. She was no Flash after all. Felt the warm blush of her own cheeks with the sharing of pies. The way he looked at her now. Kory could feel there was more intent, but she didn't worry. As Kory knew her emotions. She just took the for most of his kindness. As Victor really was sweet. Charming. Just at that Kory could see him catching words. Emotions. It was a sight to see. As she lowered her fork. With a breathless smile, as her hands gently played at her mouth as she swallowed.
"Oh... You've got a little... Allow me."
Kory spoke softly. As her fingers brushed her lips as her eyes played at the possible pie at the corner of his lips. Her green eyes finding it very amusing and kind of cute. Though with his shyness. Kory moved her hand and caught it for him. Bringing her finger to her lips. Smiling kindly to him. Giving that simple joyful sound that it tasted very nice.
"Victor. It's ok... I understand... Your a good man. I am sure of it. You've just maybe made bad choices in the past, what matters is what you are choosing now."
It was hard to see his eyes, but Kory felt some need to comfort him. Of course he didn't want to punish others. He shouldn't do it to himself, either. Kory gently extended a hand to his. In all that she saw. He was a good man or at least trying to be. That Kory could see. Ringing in her mind once again. He was brave. Very brave. Gently caressed his hand with her thumb. Before retreating with a smile. Digging in for a little more pie. With her eyes running over as Victor kept his eyes down. Curious!
"You don't seem so scary to me!"
Kory responded sweetly and softly. Even if his eyes were elsewhere. Then with the mentioning of the treaty. Victor soon brought back up his eyes. As if for a moment there was hope. His eyes were good to see. To even see his smile, but it was harder to find. Given the subject, she gathered. With his apology it brought compassion. It was sweet, even if he needn't say sorry.
"That is kind of you to say, thank-you. I did survive and have quite moved on from it... This still happens from the section of space I am from."
For a moment there Kory dropped her eyes. That trading. Kory was sure. More than sure that was still going on. Even there were still things about it that reminded her of it. Kory had quite moved on. She survived. Returning her gaze softly with a smile. Wondering then what he was thinking. As his eyes moved between her and his pie. Could see his blushing increasing. The way his chest rose. Kory was sure she could feel him feeling something. Something told her. It wasn't how she felt. Then he spoke. A phone? Kory wondered.
"Eh... Sure, I have a phone... Would you like to borrow it?"

Victor smiled at hearing Kory say that he wasn't annoying. "Well it does help that I know a full 95% of the topic of the game." He said with an amused town. "I've had someone actually ask me 'How do you know all this?'" He said intimating the bewildered tone that he was asked in.
Victor considered what Kory said about the rule being not killing for the sake of killing. Then he tried to imagine Kory as a warrior and killing someone. "Well two things. One: I get the feeling that most humans deep down inside aren't able to kill. Two: I can't imagine you killing anyone." He looked at her and thought about how she could kill someone. "Then again...... I guess even I could kill if pushed to it." He looked at his pie again. "I would hate myself for it." He realized that he could look her in the eye when he was talking about something that was unrelated to how he felt about her.
"You'll be the first I call." He said grinning after Kory commented on the cotton candy planet.
Victor smiled. "Well I'm not sure how well I could show it in Gotham. All the buildings and turns." He said. "But lets just say I didn't know I could run more then one mile without resting." He grinned at that. "Though I have considered learning parkour. It would certainly help out in Gotham." Then he wondered if she could sense what he was feeling at the moment. Part of him hoped she could, then it would relieve him of the stress of telling her himself. Another part hoped she didn't. It just scared him for that to be what he was feeling. He hadn't felt it in such along time. And the last time it didn't turn out that well for him. With a kind and somewhat shy smile he raised up his glass. "To friendship."
He looked at her and felt the lump in his throat get firmer as he watched her smile slightly and then he felt his cheeks burn as she wiped the pie from his lips.. "T-thanks." He barely managed.
When he heard her comment about making bad choices he looked at his feet and nodded slowly. "Yeah I'm glad I was stopped when I was." He said. "Otherwise I wouldn't be in Gotham right now. Or at least not like I am now."
"And no I don't seem scary to you. But when I'm at least two or three feet taller then someone and they have a highly active imagination and I look like something used to scare them around the campfire I look abit different." He said with a grin. Victor again noticed that when he was talking about something unrelated about how he felt he could look her straight in the eye. But when his mind came back around to how he felt he suddenly would look off to the side or at his pie. He wouldn't look away from her, but just not directly at her.
When she talked about her past and that kind of stuff still happens where she's from he had to think abit. "I think it happens in a way in some parts of the world." He said still trying to think if he was sure. "In a way it happens in India. But not for treaties."
The he went to answer her about the phone and his voice caught up. He was going to tell her why he asked but found that he couldn't. "I figured that I could give you my number in case you ever need a photographer for something after the charity thing." He offered.
'Tell her.' Lupin insisted.
'That's is as close as I'm gonna get right now.' Victor replied in almost the same tone as Lupin. He hoped that Kory didn't notice.

"Knowledge is a good thing… What did you tell them? "
No. Knowledge was defiantly not a bad thing. Sure too much power could corrupt, but she couldn't see Victor ever reaching that point. He was also passionate about this knowledge, in much a positive way. Simply Kory could tell by the way he smiled or how his eyes lit up. She could feel that he could picture it all in his head. Kory wasn't really surprised someone had asked him, although she was sure it was down to him being a smart man. Smiling brightly as she asked. Taking a sip of her drink. Breathed. It was relaxing. More than she was hoping for. Almost could see the double take in his eyes. How he was trying to see her in a different light. The only thing was. Kory wasn't hiding. Why would she ever have the reason to? Her eyes wandered off a little as he couldn't believe it. Envision any blood on her hands. It was a sweet thing how his mind worked. She wasn't by means a murderer. She was lucky she had only come close to killing a human. It was just a different way of thinking on Tamaran. It was hardly ever a personal thing. It was never revenge. It was that simple fact in battle. It was either her or them. That was how she was trained.
"Victor. It isn't that I want to kill nor desire it. No… Up until a few years ago. Tamaran was free of war for over 100 years. No killings, we wanted peace. I have learnt on Earth to hold back. I've not killed a human and I take no pleasure in killing. I just don't like showing compassion to those that willingly kill and destroy … I killed one of my rapist to survive. I can't hate myself for wanting to live…"
Kory was hardly the monster. She was sure of it. She never went hunting anyone down. It was never a case of pure revenge. It was purely the instinct when in battle with an enemy. Especially if in their mind they will do anything to kill you. In many cases Kory would try to find a way not to go into the battle. Her eyes softened as she looked to him, recalling the peace on Tamaran. So many years of no war. That was what they aimed for. Not more wars or death. Though if threatened so badly, they didn't sit. They acted. Protected. So many even with the Titans. They faced that had destroyed so much. Killed purely by will or not even caring. It was very hard for her to care for them in those cases. But she accepted the laws on Earth. She tried to hold her emotions. It was really not something she thought about. She just reacted. In space it was more case of survival. Especially with the Citadel. She didn't hate herself for the deaths she may of caused. They may not be the perfect choice, but they were the choices she had felt she had to of made. Recalling the time after six years of torture. She took her chance, in hope it may lead to freedom. She couldn't regret wanting to live. Kory could never allow herself to be trapped again.
"Wow. That sounds mighty impressive… Yet another amazing skill. So it is best through open fields? Oh maybe the park? Is that open enough?… What is parkour?"
Ok so Kory was half messing around with this. As she softly smiled. Upon hearing he can last a long time without much taking a breath. It was useful in many ways. She was sure. As she then dug into some more pie. Maybe it was getting to that point she had to much. Hmmm. Maybe not yet. She certainly wouldn't mind see him run. Perhaps in the park. It was open enough… Oh. Maybe Tahiti. As her mind wandered a little. That's if he could run through sand. Curious as to that this other skill he wanted to learn was. Maybe she could help with this. There was quite a lot of things Kory could feel from him. Though he was so shy. So blushing. Kory wasn't sure he quite understood all that he was feeling. She was course knew what she was feeling. As her glass gently knocked his. Creating a little cling sound. She really did like him. He was kind. Sweet. Caring. Knowledgable. He was defiantly handsome. He was comforting and she was very glad to make a new friend out of him. Smiled softly as he thanked her. Licking her fingers.
"Happy to help. Have to say. It tastes better this way… And I'm glad your here as well."
Kory grinned sweetly at his thanks. Could see his cheeks burn. It was rather cute. Teasing him a bit with her words just a little. Her eyes watched him a little. As he spoke of Gotham. His choices that led him here. She couldn't be happier he was in Gotham. However he got here wasn't the point. Just as long as he was. So she could meet him in the park and led to eating pies. It was quite a little whirl wind of fun. About to eat some more pie. Before his scary comments. Kory half rolled her eyes as he grinned as if he could convince her. She had seen creatures and species of all different sizes. Not too mention how many she had fought. Unless otherwise known, Kory was generally friendly regardless of their outer shell.
"Victor, When you know the universe as I do. You learn to have an open mind and I guess it is a good thing, I face my fears."
Her voice was calm and truthful. In all the universe, he couldn't be the scariest out there. She had met many with horns and spikes in arrange of places. Some almost as big as a building. Some were rather friendly. Some not so clever, but they won with their charms. If this campfire had seen half of what she knew, there be no campfire to begin with. It was like another world entirely up in the sky for the humans. It was actually sweet how innocently they didn't know how cruel it really could be. Though Kory knew the universe vast to know of its beauty. But she sure knew the kinds of wars that went on. Besides with it all Kory wasn't the running type. Even if it was scary. Emotions weren't something to be afraid of, but embraced. To understand them… She nodded along about his words about India. She knew it could be just as bad here on Earth. In many parts in the universe, just incases different when humans didn't have the powers as other beings did above. So they had to find other more powerful means to corrupt them.
"Oh. Of course. I'll write it down for you… Here you go. You can of course. Call me anytime. Even just to chat or hang out… If you don't mind… I'm just going to go change. Seeing as it is so warm now… Won't be long!"
That seemed perfectly understandable. Kory smiled with her response. Tearing some paper from a notepad on the lounge table. With a quick little work of a pen. She gladly handed it to Victor. Adding to the fact he could also call her, just for a friendly conversation. Perhaps go candy hunting. More pie or well maybe something else next time. He might get to familiar. She smiled. As felt her warm skin. Well quite warm. It seemed almost to stuffy for her. Although she liked the heat from the machine. So a change. Yes. A change. As she gently took to her feet. Smiled to Victor and dashed a little out of the lounge. Into her bedroom. Forgetting to close the door. As there was hardly any need to.

Victor couldn't help but grin. "Well I saw an opportunity. ti make a joke and said something along the lines of. 'Ok I'll confess. I found the Fountain of Youth and drank some. I was actually drafted into the war.'" He said with a fond smile. "Then I told them that I bottled it up and sold it to some company." He couldn't help but laugh at that memory it was one of his favorite memories of his time in Seattle.
Victor looked at Kory for a while longer trying to imagine her in a battle. He couldn't imagine her like that. But then again very few people can truly imagine themselves in a combat zone. "I wasn't saying you were a killer. I just can't see you doing it." He said still trying to wrap him mind around the idea. "And I completely understand fighting for survival. I guess I could somehow manage that. But not killing in any other way." Then he chuckled. "I freeze up when I see an unarmed combatant in a game."
Victor smiled as she asked about where would be better for him to show his stamina. "Well its good anywhere. Its just that with all the turns I can't get to my top speed." Then he thought about it some and tried to envision the park in his head. "Yeah I guess the park is open enough. I could at least run down the trail." Then he had to think about how to describe parkour. "Well it got started by some tribe in Africa. I think they were from Madagascar." He paused trying to remember if he was right. "And then shortly after World War II a Frenchman who was stationed there during the war brought it to the, quote, 'civilized' world. And gave it the name." Then he stopped to see if he left anything out. "Basically its the art of using your body to get from point A to point B in a highly congested area, like Gotham, in the shortest amount of time possible." Then he took a breath. "I figured it would help seeing as Lupin's not a bird."
'I can't help what I am!' Lupin quickly said. Victor only grinned in response.
When Kory licked the pieces of pie off her fingers Victor couldn't help but feel a twinge of nervousness. He felt it mainly because of the fact that he knew the pieces she just ate where on the corner of his mouth just a few seconds before. And her comment about it tasting better didn't help him much. He was glad that his palms weren't sweaty anymore but he still felt the conflict within him. 'Don't think about it.' his mind was repeating.
Then all the worry and nervousness left him when Kory talked about having an open mind. "Well if you know Earth and its history like I do you learn to have an open mind." He said then he pointed at where he jacket hung. "I'm the one walking around wearing a jacket that everyone associate's with the Nazis. Even though the man who wore that jacket before me was the polar opposite of them." He said feeling a smile cross his face.
Victor smiled and took the paper he was offered. "Thanks." He said taking a quick look at it and then folding it. "I'll keep that in mind. I'll go ahead and give you mine now if you want." He offered, though he wasn't quite sure why. He then put it in his pocket and looked at her when she brought up changing. He didn't realize that it had gotten warmer in the room. Or rather he didn't realize that it was the room. He thought it was him. "Ok I'll wait here." He said kindly.
When she left he took another bite of the pie and another drink from the glass. He then felt his nerves acting up again. 'Don't think about it. Here's your chance run.' He thought to himself. He didn't budge.
"Lupin you can't read my thoughts right?'
'No I can't why?'
'No reason.'
That was the short mental conversation that took place. He felt his thoughts cycling. First he would think about how he felt and that he had to do something or say something to tell her. Then they would cycle about to him running away or to simply drop how he felt. Then they would cycle to how he knew that there was no chance that he could do that.
'Victor.'
'Yes Lupin?' Victor was grateful for the mental wolf speaking up. Due to the fact that it interrupted his mental tornado.
'Did you hear something just now?' Lupin asked.
'No I didn-' Then he realized that Kory had gone to chance her clothes and didn't close the door. He felt himself fall straight back into the sheer nervousness he was feeling before. He didn't look into the room she went into, but rather looked around the room he was in. He felt that Kory wouldn't mind if he took a look at some of the things in the room. He got up and wandered around the room some, stopping and taking a closer look at some of the items he saw. He fell victim to the temptation of sniffing a few of the candles. Then he found his way to the window and looked out of it. He always enjoyed watching the life of the world around him. He watched people rush by as they were getting to where they needed to go. He thought it was funny, it was so chaotic out there but it felt so calm in here. Well...... not for his thoughts and feelings but everything else felt calm. He then felt himself grinning. He never thought he would meet an alien, and here he was. He had met not only an alien but an alien princess, and not only that but his first intergalactic exchange was to by a cup of coco for said princess. And then he promptly began to fall in love with her and get to know her. Now all he had to do was find out how to cope with what he was feeling and tell said princess how he felt. But he felt that either way. He had made a friend.

So his answer was quite joyful. Humorous. Kory could admire that. As she listened in as Victor smiled and in the end even laughed. She was half wondering about this fountain of youth. Though as he said it was a joke. Then well Kory was sure it wasn't real. Who would need something like that, but as his fondness of telling it grew. Kory laughed softly with him. As even so she wasn't totally on the same page. She could admire how Victor remembered it and how it made him feel.
"Sounds like a very fond memory"
As her laughter with him stopped. Her voice was sweet and truthful. Seeing how his eyes lit up at the thought. It was a be there kind of moment, but Kory didn't need it as such. As she could very much feel the emotions he had felt. Her face softened to see him still yet surprised of her warrior nature. It was hard to say really if she was born with it... More trained, but it started so young when she was a child. It was just very much a part of her. It sort of went passed thinking about it. She smiled. As he said she wasn't a killer. She defiantly didn't feel like she had blood on her hands. She wasn't a murderer. She wanted life. Very much. She was just trained to defend it. Protect it. It was hardly ever personal. Kory had lost count the many times she had wanted to kill her sister. Stopping herself short, as it was her sister. Killing her in someway would make Kory just as bad as she was, but every time she held back. Stopped herself. Her sister did something that almost made Kory wished she had taken that step. It was border of revenge and hope. But it really was something Kory just preferred not to think a great deal of. Life now was what was most important. Having moments such as this. The company sharing of friendship.
"It isn't something I encourage. Hopefully you'll never have to. The laws on Earth prohibit it. Although I still don't understand why there is no law against killing other species..."
Kory added softly. It was perfectly fine Victor didn't want to kill. He was trained as she was and a lot of the time it was going by what she felt she needed to do. In order to really bring justice to those that do kill. Just feeling the situation. Never did she go looking to kill. It is just that last little moment where she feels she needs to do it. Though here on Earth. Kory did learn to hold back so there was defiantly less chance for Victor to see her kill. At least that was human. She accepted that. Though her eyes shifted a little. As she could respect the law more if it was equal. It hardly made no sense. This do not kill law, when it only dealt with humans. A human life wasn't really any different in value than say her own. This law was so important, but it so not what it was supposed to be. If its a no kill law then it should be that. Not something left with loopholes. Having watched some around her going its alright because they weren't human. The law just didn't make sense to her, but she accepted it. Returning her gaze more fully as Victor spoke of his stamina.
"Maybe one day I'll see for myself. Sounds like it would be an exciting feeling... Well if Parkour is something you want to learn, you defiantly should... He can't help what he is."
Now that would be the day. Kory thought amusingly. Finding Victor zooming through the park. Now. She was sure he wasn't Flash speed. So she was confident though he maybe fast she'd be able to catch him. Flash, was pretty much there and then wasn't. Really quite the ultimate spy in some cases. Or causing a lot of being jumped out of skin. Though being around it, you get used to it. Well almost. Kory was invested when hearing what this Parkour was. It sort of sounded like what Dick did. She was sure it wasn't. Earth had so many terms and definitions for things that seemed so similar. He did defiantly scale buildings or moving from place to place. As Victor had pointed out. It was more from his circus days. With his words of a bird. Kory simply smiled. As she gathered Dick was sort of close to that. Being Robin and now Nightwing. He did not fly as she could, but he defiantly flew. It was always quite a sight to watch. Smiling to Victor, Lupin didn't need to be a bird. How they were was perfectly everything they needed. If he were a bird. Victor probably be wishing he was a wolf or who knows what. Her fingers gently ran through her hair. Catching his nerves just a wee bit. Her tongue catching the last bits. She couldn't help escape just a small joyful laugh. He was such a sweet man. She was ok, having a little fun. Not by all means really teasing him, but once gone past awkward stages. He would hopefully be more comfortable.
"It is in my nature to see the best in anyone and everyone I meet... It is just a jacket to me, Victor. It didn't define the man before you and it shouldn't define you."
Kory had grown up in a planet. Where honesty was much more heightened than on Earth. There was hardly no reason to see anything more. Also along with their positive nature. It just came something to be used to. That trust wasn't something to question. It was just there. Kory smiled softly when he pointed out Earth. It was part of the universe which she had mentioned, but she knew what he meant. Kory remained softly spoken about his jacket. It just was that. A jacket to her. It was a human thing to define someone by it. Put these so called Nazis in any given jacket, Kory was sure the same results would have happened. It was their choices that defined them, their actions. Clothes were not alive and they did not make the choices for them. Kory smiled in response as he thanked her and took her number she had written down. Her smile grew a little as he offered his own.
"Sure... I would really love that... Make yourself at home, I'll be back very soon."
Kory bubbly replied as she passed him the pad and a pen. After then she stood from her spot. Stretching her legs, was defiantly nice. Yes. A change would help. Kory kindly spoke before heading to her room. Once inside her room. She undid her buttons. Removing her top. Then removing her jeans. Along with her underwear. Placing them neatly in a basket. She slipped on a casual T-shirt. More like a dress. As it was was long enough about mid thigh. It shaped lightly and nicely to her toned form. The neckline had a couple of buttons. Some randomly undone and the fabric half came of her shoulder a tiny bit. It was defiantly more comfortable. Her skin could breathe better. Her hands lightly tousled her hair out from being caught inside the fabric as she made her way out of the room.
"Yes. Much better now... It is quite view isn't it?"

Victor grinned at the memory and nodded when Kory asked him if it was a fond memory. "Yes it is. I really can't say I have a whole bunch that don't involve my uncle somehow." He said in a soft voice as he thought back to what he and his uncle would do.
Victor listened to Kory talk about her thoughts on killing. He nodded as she spoke showing that he agreed. "I'm kinda the same, I don't like the idea of killing." Then he stopped to think. "And in our defense, most humans don't actually know that there is life on other planets." He said. "But I know what you mean. I personally feel that if its a sentient creature, or its not attacking you, or its not going to be tonight's dinner. Then there's no need to kill it." He looked at her and hoped that what he said made sense. He realized that it wasn't the clearest thing he had ever said. "In other words I feel that one shouldn't kill anything if its non-threatening." Then he paused and realized that he might not have been clear enough. "By that I mean actively threatening. Not looking threatening"
He looked at her and smiled. "Yeah well I might not be as fast as I was then. I was scared then. So it was the Flight or Fight instinct kicking in." He grinned. "But I'm sure I can still run pretty fast." He thought about it and wondered if he still had the speed in him. He could but then again he might not. Though there was only one way to find out. He thought that learning parkour could work in his favor in a place like Gotham. He figured that one day he should get around to learning it. "Yeah I'm thinking about it." He said. "Then I could keep up with you when your flying then." He grinned. "Then I could jump over the wall instead of going around it." Then he paused for a while. "You would still win thought."
His grin grew even larger when he heard what Kory said about his comment of Lupin not being a bird. "He just said the same thing." He said with a slight laugh.
"I'm the same way. In my opinion its not who you are but what you do that defines you." He said. "Otherwise I wouldn't have that jacket." He added with a grin. "Though I'm not going to get the arm band." He added with an amused grin. "Unless I'm going to be in 'The Sound of Music.'" He smiled at that.
Victor wrote his number on the paper she gave him and then set it back down on the table. 'Well that was a big leap for me.' He thought.
'Yes it was pup.' Lupin said. Victor simply grinned at hte calmness in the wolf's tone.
He kept looking around the room and watched the people go by outside the window. He smiled softly as he watched the people go by. He thought it was oddly peaceful. Though the people down there might not say that. Then he heard Kory ask about the view. He turned around and looked at her and felt his heart skip a beat. "Uhhhhhh........ Yeah yeah it is." He said after taking a double take. His eyes were wide he had never seen a woman as beautiful as Kory before. And he had never seen anyone dressed like she was dressed right now.
"You........ Uhhhhhhhhhh........ You look... Uhhhh...... You look good." He barely managed to say he was feeling somewhat embarrassed of the fact that his eyes were stuck on her. But he proud of the fact that he was only looking at her body for a short time. His eyes seemed to be attracted at her face. It was a amazing face. And her eyes were a big reason for what he thought.
'Tell her you love her.' Lupin said.
'I want to.' Was the reply.

Kory sat back calmly. Relaxed. Returning his vibrant grin as Victor spoke of the fond memory. She was pleased to hear it as was one with his uncle. Her green eyes eyed him that to see he could remember his uncle in such a light, it was defiantly the way to move on. To remember those you loved and loved you in such a joyous way. Though with the softness of his voice Kory wasn't sure he was so much talking to her or more recalling even more memories. She was sure she caught something in his eyes. As Kory smiled and nodded to his words. Finding right now, there was no greater words that could have matched his. Her hand ran through her hair as she gave him a sweet gaze sharing in the joyful nature he had just shown her.
Her grin grew a little more to hear his words about killing and that of non humans. Watched as he thought his words so carefully. Her green eyes looked at every inch as they came. Smiling softly as it was true Humans didn't know much of the universe. Although with the likes of Superman and other heroes from other planets. It sort of had to alert Earth, but maybe they were still unable to really grasp just how much life there was and sure there was life out there that was threatening, but not all. No defiantly not all. With that her eye blinked as if Victor had read her mind. Well sort of, but it was close. She nodded happily at his last words. Because there were things that well would give that appearance, but were hardly dangerous. Then turn it around on her, who could be quite dangerous if given the reason to be. Of course Kory wouldn't be showing that right now. She half giggled.
"You are very right, Victor and quite wise. It is very becoming of you."
Kory could only muster up with kindness. With a sweet smile. He was very smart. Taking another sip of her drink. It was really feeling like a comfortable space alongside him. Caught his eyes as he looked up with a smile. Kory slightly laughed at the thought of Flight or Fight. She could see it being an instinct and then became something a part of him. Yes, she would defiantly like to see this. Though with his excitement and gush of words. Kory just simply enjoyed listening to him speak now. Nodding along. Then her grin did grow as he mentioned her flying. Competing against. She half eyed him playfully. As if to take him up on that challenge and then she just laughed. That could defiantly be fun, though he might be right about her still winning. She was sure he'd defiantly put up a good fight. .
"I don't know you seem pretty determined, but if it was to space. Then yes, I think I'd win that one… We have something in common then. "
She couldn't be exactly sure who would beat who, not that she was overly competitive. Well sometimes. She smiled to him kindly. Now if it was a race to space, then sure she would defiantly win. Her eyes traced him as he compared the comments made from Kory and Lupin. Watched his laugh. It well. Wasn't surprising to her that much, but she was happy to know they had somewhere similar minds. Or more she could maybe feel his emotions. Not to mention it was true. He wasn't about to turn into a bird anytime soon. He was a wolf. Pushing the pie away for now. She was filled enough for now. Though maybe some more practise in a bit. As her mind wandered a little as to what they could practise with next time. Maybe flowers? Now he couldn't eat the flowers so he'd have to rely purely on the smell of it. Kory almost giggled at the thought, but pies was enough for now. Tilting her head slightly to hear him agree. She may have repeated Lupin's words, but Victor had similar way of thinking. Though with his nerves and just as Kory knew. Everyone was different, but it was a sweet thought. Then her eyes showed confusing. How did it have to with the sound of music? As her mind half did a double take to try and figure it out.
"Quite true, it is very much acting on our emotions which defines us and the choices we make… How does the jacket tie in with the Sound of Music?"
From what Kory recalled of that film. She was sure she only saw it once. All she remembered was, the music. The singing. It was rather joyful at times so she recalled she liked that part of it, but she was confused at to what Victor was comparing it with. Kory pondered that thought as she left the space. With Victor writing down his number. She would defiantly call him if he didn't. It was nice to know another friendly face in Gotham. After a quick change in her room. Kory returned. In her mid-thigh length T-shirt. With well nothing under, but it was more comfortable that way. Ran her hand through her hair as she stood back in the living room. Smiling kindly to see Victor watching the view of Gotham. It defiantly wasn't New York, but it sure was a beautiful city. This view was particularly nice, as it had views of distant mountains and the open sky. Also the park across the road. Giving a greenery touch. Victor then turned on his feet. Kory watched his eyes and mouth half drop. Escaping a breath of laughter. It was quite a reaction. Cute. Ran her fingers down the v neckline of her shirt, before brushing the hair back behind her shoulder. Breaking a little distance as Victor spoke. Kory smiled, as his eyes double take a few times. Smiled sweetly to him. As Kory took her glass back in hand to take a sip. More refreshed now.
"Thank-you. You are very kind… Would you like to play with me? Or did you want to practise some more?"
Very kind as Kory could realise how hard it was for him to say, let alone really look at her it seemed. She was rather used to it, with some extent. Although he was maybe a little less forward than say Gar or even Roy. Which Kory would generally ignored, though at times they were funny. Kory's eyes went to the board game below her coffee table as she spoke. Maybe it be fun as she mentioned it. Kory motioned for it, but fell short incase Victor wanted to practise some more. Or maybe something else entirely. If he wasn't meant to be somewhere else or taking more pictures. Maybe he could from the balcony. Was a lot of life happening out there.

Victor smiled at her comment about him being wise. "I've had people think I'm older then I actually am because of that." He said happily. "I always enjoy the reaction when I say... Actually I'm in my early twenties.... Not thirty." He couldn't help but grin at the thought. "Of course alot of times when they think that I have a beard at the time." He started rubbing his clean shaven chin. "That might have something to do with it."
He grinned at her comment about a race to space. "Yeah you would win. I'd have to go through who knows how much training before they would even let me touch the mop that would clean the shuttle." He said. "But I will admit I get really competitive in a contest like setting." Then he let out a quick laugh. "I might actually be dangerous depending on what kinda game it is." He said. "I'm really rather ruthless in a wargame. But only to those who are against me and my allies." Then he grinned. "I'm really good at keeping secrets whether it be in a game or in reality."
Then he heard Lupin make a remark. 'I don't make you any better.'
'No you don't help much with that part of my gaming style.'
Then to Kory he said. "If I found a way to change Lupin into something else.... I wouldn't go for it." He said. "I'd leave him as he is."
'And I wouldn't change you pup.' Lupin said. Every time Lupin called him 'pup' he got the same feeling that he got when his uncle called him 'son'
Then Victor grinned widely when Kory asked about the Sound of Music. "Well the story took place during the time of the Third Reich. Some of the characters were actually Nazis. But they were more the Nazis that people don't see....... They were tricked into joining 'the party'" He said then after a few seconds he added. "We humans can be really easy to trick. Not as individuals but as people." Then he smiled. "A good show that is World War II based is Hogan's Heroes." He chuckled abit. "Its got a good theme tune and is really funny. And has lovable characters........ And a great catch phrase."
"And as for emotions that portray us..... Well lets just say..... When people see me and know what I am. I don't seem very scary in my wolf costume."
Victor was having a hard time recovering after seeing how beautiful Kory was. His heart was beating alittle faster and he felt his knees starting to get weak. They were starting to wobble slightly. Not a great amount but anyone with a keen eye could see that they were.
Then she asked if he wanted to play with her.. He squinted his right eye slightly as his mind hastily processed that question. 'Play?' He thought. He didn't know what she meant. His heart skipped a beat when she asked.
'Yes you want to!' Lupin said.
'I don't think that's what she meant.' He replied.
'Well you can lead up wo it!'
'Why are you so hooked on me sleeping with a girl?'
'Well maybe its the wolf mating season.' Lupin said quickly.
'I'm not a wolf!' Victor snapped back franticlly.
'Well for humans isn't it always mating season?' Lupin asked.
'That's below the belt.' Victor said back.
'Exactly. You know what you do below the belt right?'
'Just stop it will you?' Victor asked in a concerned manner.
Then he thankfully noticed Kory's eyes shift. He followed her gaze and saw the board game. He felt his tense body relax. "I'd love too." He said. "What do you got there?" He asked kindly. He felt his cheeks burning and was embarrassed at the conversation he just had with Lupin. This wasn't the first time he had brought something like this up. And he had been bringing it up more and more lately. He also couldn't help but wonder what Kory would have though about him if she had heard. Then he realized....... In the back of his mind he had thought the same thing.......... Even if only for a second.

"You look young to me. Just with the add of smart and of course very handsome…"
Kory commented sweetly. Although thirty was still quite young to her. She hadn't thought of him at really any age, but she could gather he was more youthful than not. He defiantly had something smart about the way he looked. Whether it was his clothes or perhaps in his eyes Kory was seeing. Victor was also very handsome, as Kory watched him rub his hair free chin. Tilted her head slightly. She was sure he'd look good with a beard as well, but she was favouring his look at the moment. She liked how his skin looked. Winked at him kindly.
"Competitiveness is a good thing, Victor. It can be very effective. We did a lot between the titans, part of our training. It was quite fun… What are you suggesting that I reveal my secrets, Victor?"
Back even on Tamaran there was a lot of competitive training. As well at with the titans. Kory recalling the few times particularly she sparred against Donna, once Donna got very close, but the tamaranean princess won again. Of course they made up for it with a friendly hug. It was always somewhat more fun against friends, When it was constructive competition of course. Not personal. Kory smiled with him, not really surprised to hear he was also rather competitive. Laughed a little when he spoke being dangerous. Hmmm, she could see it. Just not really now. Kory picking up his words of secrets. Kory laughed as she asked. As if in his words was trying to suggest she could thrust him with hers… That's if she had any.
"Because I don't think I have any secrets. At least that aren't my own."
Pretty much anything and everything Kory was open with. Of course there were secrets she knew of others, but they weren't really her place to tell. There were also secrets, things such as Donna said she needed to keep to live on Earth. Be safer. Though Kory only did that so well. Kory's eyes squared on him a little. Watching him grin again and talking about the sound of music. It was quite something. She had never known about this, well half of it she understood. As she nodded along. Never did she knew… Eyed his chuckle sweetly about this show. He made it sound so much fun. Kory hadn't really kept up with TV in sometime, but she sure did enjoy it when she sat down for it. Of course she did love movie night. The sharing of pop corn and soda. The semi darkness. It was quite surreal in a positive way.
"Wow… I never knew. Thank-you for telling me this… I would imagine nearly anyone can be tricked, not just here. Everyone has a weakness… Oh it does sound like a good show… What is the catch phrase?… I already feel like one of those lucky people and you are not scary. You are very warm and slowly, but quite inviting."
Anyone could be victim to being tricked. Even non-humans. Those that do not seem to have a weakness, not having one was usually a weakness. Kory herself had very very little to fear. She was trained to overcome and be brave. To not shiver or shake within a battle. Sweetly smiling to be able to say he was not just seemingly un-scary. He just wasn't scary for her. Unless that was the angle he was going for. He was quite opposite of scary. Instead of that running feeling, Kory felt utterly placed. Despite it being her place and well being a tamaranean. Having seen the universe. She was comfortable being before him and in no hurry to rush him out.
Falling back after her clothes changed. With nothing underneath, just enough fabric. It was normal to her, but Kory sure enjoyed Victor's reaction. It was fun to see. Standing nearby her bare knees rubbed together nicely. Rolled her lip between her teeth and let out a breath. Watching his eyes unrelenting and could sense a rush moving through him. There was maybe a small chance she meant that certain play. He seemed to have good hands. As Kory half amused watched Victor roll her words in his head. Kory's lips brightened with a sweet smile as Victor realised. His gaze upon her, followed to the game under the table. Something chilled within him. Kory softly giggled under her breath at his reply. Eyeing him a little until he asked his question. Her right hand swept her long red locks behind her shoulder. As lowered to her knees for a moment. Her orange hand reached to pull free the board game, upon which how her shirt was cut exposed herself a little more before Victor. The hem rode up a little as well. Getting back to her feet. She pulled down the fabric a little and fixed the sleeve which had fallen as she got her feet. Smiled to Victor and with her index finger expressed him to come over. To pull him in and onto the couch. As she sat down, Kory patted the seat beside her. Giggling softly. Her eyes traced down him a little.
"Clue. Would it interest you? Seems someone had a different game in mind."
Kory bubbly answered his question. Having had spoken about it which seemed so long ago no. Kory joking she could feel he had thought of something else. Could be considered a game. As Kory set the board game on the table and slid off the top of it. Bringing her hands back upon her lap.

A nervous chuckle escaped past Victor's lips and he rubbed the back of his neck at the sound of Kory saying he was handsome. "T-thanks." He managed. "You look very beautiful" It was a major step forward for him that he was even able to say that to her at all. Then he noticed that she winked. 'Was that a wink?' he thought. He felt the lump in his throat return yet again. He almost never had a lump in his throat anymore. And he had had it so many times in the past hour or so. He was partly afraid of what that meant.
He smiled at how she brought up the Titans. "You really liked them didn't you?" He asked. "Makes me wish I was part of them." He said with a playful smile. "What?" He asked then he realized what she meant about secrets. "No no I wasn't saying that." He said nervously. "I'm just saying that I keep secrets so well that I actually forget them from time to time." At that he smiled. "Its funny how many times someone has told me the same secret over and over and I didn't realize it."
He smiled abit at her thanking him. "Your welcome. I just picked it up somewhere. I forget where...... But its just another one of the things I can't seem to forget." Then he laughed. "I say that right after talking about forgetting secrets." Then he smiled and thought. "And yeah your right. Anyone can be tricked. We've seen it happen time and again on this planet."
Then he grinned. "Well there's one character who everytime he sees something that he doesn't want to get involved in or that will get him in trouble he will slowly back away and say 'I see nothing! I hear nothing! I know nothing!' and that kinda became the catch phrase of the show. It was always done in a funny way."
He felt his entire body start to warm up. It started at his face and worked its way around his body. Just hearing her say that about him made him feel a way he had never felt before. He couldn't describe how he felt. He managed a shy smile but that was it. Then she knelt down to get the board game. When he saw abit more skin on her then he had thought he would and also realized that the shirt she had on was all she had on he found himself having a hard time breathing smoothly. He reached up and undid the top button on his shirt. which revealed the base of his neck and his collarbone He found himself looking her over. His eyes lingered for a few seconds on her legs, then on the shape of her body, then he found himself stuck looking at her lips and then shortly after he was back on her eyes. When she beckoned him over to the couch he found that he was rooted where he was. He couldn't move. Then suddenly his limbs started moving. And he walked over to her Victor felt that he was simply along for the ride. It was like an out-of-body experience, like someone else was controlling his body. He made it to the couch and sat down, when he regained control over his body he saw the he was more then half-way to putting his arm around her shoulder. He quickly stopped and made it as though he was going to scratch the back of his neck.
"Sure I'd love to play Clue." He said then stopped and had to think abit about what she said. "I didn't say anything out loud just now did I?" He asked pointing to where he was standing only a few seconds before.
