Naomi found herself staring at the Gotham City, Skylights. The Sky was beautiful you know when there was no stories about bombings or shooting or killer clowns trying to gas the whole city. Work was getting to her, Work was always getting to her. She wanted to be a co so she could help people and protect people, but it felt like Gotham had a problem large enough to where it felt like it would take more than a pair of handcuffs to solve. Her date life was not really helping either. It seemed like every guy she dated was just wearing a mask. She was tired of it all, tired of mask, tired of men in bat suits, tired in general. Her thoughts went to Superman. The Cop had a run in with him a few times. He seemed so nice, so...honest it was almost as if the epitome of everything Gotham wasn't.
There was a lot of things she could not tell anybody. Mostly because she thought they would not understand. Would Superman? Surly he would. He was an alien. a being of the cosmos. Aside from all of that, he seemed like the kind of person who would listen of somebody was dealing with issues, But considering how busy he was saving the world, asking him to be around for a talk was probably a fools dream. She found herself chuckling before saying to empty space "I wish you were here superman. I could really use a friend."

The voice carried across the city, echoing among the hubbub and the constant carries of unfamiliar noises. Clark wasn't really quite used to Gotham, not yet at least, the noises were too unusual, the sounds of the buildings settling, honking cars and distant gunfire. Still, he heard something clearly, maybe a few blocks away. It was like hearing his name in a crowded cocktail party, what was that effect called? He'd read an article about it just the other day, it was something he was talking to Lois about, she'd made a snarky comment.
Still, that was his name, clearly just a few blocks away. Clark looked out the window of the makeshift office he'd had in his hotel room, it was dirty, dusty and shadowy, he straightened his glasses and then exhaled, looking back over his shoulder. "Sorry Bruce, promises or no. . . "He took off his glasses and opened his shirt.
It took under ten seconds to arrive nearby, almost as if he'd been there almost the whole time. Careful, Clark, that's how religions get started. Cocktail Party effect. That's right, the cocktail party effect. Hence the thought about a cocktail party, Clark never goes to cocktail parties, who does that anyway? Well, in Gotham maybe. Metropolis not so much.
"You look like you're having a tough time of things." He hovered nearby, arms crossed as he smiled faintly, letting himself carefully fall to the rooftop, red boots touching the ground lightly and then firmly as his weight settled down. Tall and fair with bright and almost alien blue eyes, deep oily almost impossibly black hair, power packed firmly into a bright blue and red costume of an alien material. Man of Steel. Last Son of Krypton. Superman.
"What's wrong?"

"You look like you're having a tough time of things."
Naomi Jumped as she heard the sound of a strong voice. She turned around to see Superman right in front of her. Really here? She had just said something at it wasn't like she cried for help. Was he bored or was he just standing at that moment. Surely it could not have been the latter. She knew he was not there a second ago.
She started smile wiping a tear from her face.
"Is there some sort of Genie granting me three wishes. If that's the case, I wish for a 10 foot stack of pancakes."
Her eyes widened as soon as she realized that there was a chance that Superman might have actually tried to abolige her joke.
"I'm kidding I'm kidding."
She let out a sort of fake chuckle, but it seemed like Superman saw right through it.
"What's wrong?"
Naomi let out a sigh of almost defeat.
before sitting down at a swing. She scooted over signaling for the Man of Steel to sit next to her.
"Please. I'd honestly feel more comfortable if you sat next to me. something about you just standing there levitating feels unnerving."
She then began to rock back and forth swinging. She then found herself looking at the Stars.
"there beautiful aren't they? The Stars I mean? there were some cultures that used to believe when a noble knight died, their spirits became one with the stars. I wonder if their up there. Rick, Joshua, Benny
Tears started to stream down her face.
"Benny died in a drug sting gone wrong. Joshua was tortured at the hands of Joker, and Rick...Bane Snapped his Neck, when he was at the wrong place at the wrong time."
Naomi buried her face in her elbow and started to sob.
"I don't know what to do Superman. I became a cop because I wanted to help people, but Gotham has an internal problem that kicking and punching into submission. I can't save people in spite of themselves, I try but when I do all I see is good people dying."
She started to clench her fist.
"They know...they know what will happen if those creeps are locked away. But they refuse to do anything about it. Good people die because of it...I can't...I can't take it anymore I just can't!!!"
