She did everything as instruction, which seemed to be something that Linsey found she was considerably good at over the past few works. Would there ever be a time in her life where she wasn’t used for her ability but instead put in the role of the one doing the using? She had such aspirations when she had originally came to Gotham City and now she almost couldn’t see herself in such a position considering her current standings. Of course, this situation was much different. Selina Kyle didn’t appear to be blackmailing her for her ability. No, she called it a favor – as if they were friends.
Linsey was always on time, stepping out of her car and allowing the valet to park it a distance away from the building. She started into the venue that matched the address on the card, taking a moment to observe her surroundings as she repeated the exact directions and was brought to a table. The redhead managed a quick smile and nod toward her guide before they quickly departed, leaving her with a glass of sparkling water. Linsey simply looked at it for a moment, though was more excited by the idea of having the chance to sit down so early on in the evening.
She couldn’t imagine that it would be long before the meeting would be in full swing. Linsey had spent the majority of the day contemplating what it is that Ms. Kyle might request from her ability. She wasn’t able to spend much time alone with her thoughts before she caught a glimpse of the cat-eyed woman across the way.

Her table was one of her favorite places in the venue. She'd had little time since Metropham's first phase had concluded to really enjoy the space. Luthor had allocated certain standards for her when she was on the premises, a lovely thank you for her hard work through the entire ordeal. And she had graciously thanked him for such beautiful amenities. Such ones that allotted a beautiful view of the ocean, cliffs, and Gotham as a whole. Someday she'd take Bruce there. And see if they could do a bit of cliff jumping, if he was up to it.
The thought of him fighting her on such a dangerous activity brought a glint to her eye. She'd already stopped off at their suite, depositing several items that would be tantamount to the little favor she was going to ask of the redhead. And now she nearly flowed over the marble floor to where Linsey was seated.
Green silk covered her from head to toe in gathers that had been perfected by hand to silhouette her figure. It was a showstopping couture gown that was going to be put to good use. Very, very good use. And it was really the only thing she would ask to be returned.
Lowering herself into a seat, wait staff at her back to make sure she was the proper distance from the table, she waited as a bottle of Shirah was brought to them. Motioning to both glasses, each was filled before they were alone again. It was a favorite vintage of her's that somehow Luthor had been able to get his hands on a case. And was rather tight-lipped about just how he had done so. Another mystery for another day. She had her own 'problem' at hand, and wanted to see just what it was going to cost her.
"Linsey! Good to see you! Order whatever you want. Beverages as well. I may have been a bit presumptuous in pouring you a glass, but if you prefer something else, get it. I'll enjoy the red if you're not." Raising her glass to the other woman, it was a silent toast, a cloaked motion that the real dealings were starting, and yes, in plain daylight.
"You see, I have a bit of a problem. And I hate to say it, but she's a fellow redhead. You're quite aware of Summer Gleeson?"

It was a rare occasion when Linsey was actually given the opportunity to sit in an extravagant building that didn’t have a dangerous display of ravenous seals living in the middle of it. The venue was beautiful and while she was aware of its existence, she had yet to truly appreciate its beauty. Selina Kyle was the furthest thing from a predictable woman, though the redhead could quickly associate the brunette beauty with such an aesthetically pleasing place.
Linsey rose politely so that she could greet Selina upon her arrival. It wasn’t difficult to spot even when once at a substantial distance. The green number she wore made her cat-like eyes glow amongst her tanned skin. The ensemble certainly made Linsey feel rather plain. Here she sat in her work clothes, a simple, hip-hugging black dress with a neckline that left little to the imagination.
“It’s lovely to see you as well, Ms. Kyle. Your choice of scenery is equally stunning. Always full of surprises, aren’t you?” Linsey didn’t show much expression to the happenings around the room, it was the only world she truly knew. However, it was interesting to see it on a different scale. She smiled as she once more thanked Selina for her offer, though hadn’t yet decided on whether or not she would accept the wine. “Oh, you are too kind, but I shouldn't”. Joining the woman by taking her seat once more, she crossed one long leg over the other and enjoyed the opportunity to sit in the comfortable arrangements.
While she did love a good red, alcohol didn’t seem to pair well with her ability. It wasn’t until the next words to leave the brunette’s lips did Linsey face twitch. Collectively keeping her cool, one could tell by a simple glance at her eyes that the name didn’t sit very well with the redhead. Pursing her lips, she moved the glass closer to her. “On second thought, if we are going to talk about that little snit, perhaps I should.” Linsey brought the glass carefully to her red lips, eyes focused on her hostess.

"Fantastic. Then we'll be having a fantastic night. Perhaps a few more drinks, or bottles, hell, if you want, and we'll head back to my suite." The look in Linsey's eyes was more than enough evidence that she'd be on board. The fact Selina had any sway with her employer would help as well. "I'm not here to take advantage of your skillset. Not in the way you are thinking. But like I said, you name the price, and if you can help me, I can certainly help you out." Taking another sip of her red, she set the glass down before her. Toying with the stem slightly, she leaned back, taking in the view. The del Mar was a really beautiful venue. Dining there enough had almost given her a want to purchase one of the highly sought-after lofts she housed. It was very, very tempting.
"Summer is a good woman. Great at her job. Driven. Passionate. And a little snit. Hard to blame her for following through on what she does, so well, when it's her job, no?" Shrugging slightly, Selina did feel slight remorse at cutting down the anchor. She even made sure to DVR the woman's show so she could watch it. But it only became personal when Catwoman became a fixation in the pert ginger's focus. "So. I'm guessing you watch her show. She's getting a wee bit too close for comfort. And to get to the point, I need to be in two places at once."
Which wasn't exactly easy. The fact she crossed paths was divine intervention. Or excruciatingly good luck on her behalf. Raising her glass she glanced to her right as a waiter was making their way to the table. A lovely charcuterie tray was set before them, and Selina heartily encouraged Linsey to order anything else she found appetizing. For now the selection of delectable meats, cheeses, nuts and spreads was fine for Selina. Once the man had retreated, Selina continued. "She's being a bit too damn good at her job, and I had an unfortunate encounter with her. So if I'm able to be in two places at once, I'm hoping it can throw her off the trail, and maybe she'll start to go after some other woman, instead of me." Pursing her lips, she had to admire Summer. She had a tenacious streak that just didn't quit. If she ever wanted to quit showbiz, perhaps being a PI would suit her.
"So, I need you to be me. I'm trusting this won't be our first little meeting, and honestly, who would fault two friends meeting up, spending a girls' night out here or there? You'll be going as me, and we have a few nuances that are needed. Mannerisms. Behaviors. Faces to identify and information about them. I will furnish the wardrobe, accessories, all of it. And just in case, I will have the both of us in communication in case." She grinned slowly over her glass of wine, laying out her tentative plan.
"Then that will free me up to do my thing, and make a bit of a debacle, which is not my standard MO, so she'll be sure to know that it certainly couldn't, just couldn't, be me!" At least she thought it was a good plan. It would take some work on Linsey's behalf, but there really was no objection to what her payment would be. Money, jewelry, clothing. Selina could get it, and would, if Linsey was willing to pull this off for her.
"Any questions?" Letting her hand hover over the cutting-board of food items, she plucked a ripe kalamata olive from the spread and popped it into her mouth.

Linsey blinked, trying to hide the bit of surprise that she was being so welcomed by the glowing socialite. “I suppose we’ll start with one and see where that takes us.” She replied lightly, unable to hide her smirk. The redhead wasn’t exactly used to having friends, and while she knew appropriate and acceptable ways to socialize it was not often that she was did so without the close watch and hidden agendas of Oswald Cobblpott. She couldn’t recall the last time she had an evening to sit and drink without having to worry about the potential list of consequences.
With another sip she nodded, a faint smile on her lips when she lowered the glass. “I understand, Ms. Kyle. And at the same time I thank you. This is certainly a change of pace considering the past situations that my ability seems to have provided for me. At the moment, I’m not entirely sure what it is I would ask for.” Linsey replied honestly. Money was always nice, but Cobblepott paid her well and insured that her father’s care was maintained. Some of the things she wanted seemed impossible, though she supposed a relief from the constant aches and pains her ability provided may be a reasonable request. Though she would wait to see what all this job entailed before she asked for too much or too little.
“I’m sorry, I’m a bit bias but I don’t quite share the same opinion. The pest nearly bashed my head in with a paperweight during our last encounter.” Her voice once more lacked most expression, with a mild edge as she briefly relived the memory. That was all she cared to say about the matter, though she wanted to make it clear that they were not friends. While she would not let her anger toward the reporter contribute to the performance of this job, she certainly wasn’t keen on spending time with Miss Gleeson. “Though, I can assure you that for our arrangement I will remain entirely professional regardless of our past.” She listened, her blue eyes meeting Selina’s cat-like ones as the woman explained.
Of course Summer had gotten too close for comfort. Seeing as she recently dealt with a similar issue concerning the reporter, she couldn’t help but allow a laugh to peel from her lips when she put this all together. “This is quite a process to mislead one nosy little reporter. Is she the only one you are worried about, Miss Kyle?” After all, she could just torture her for a few hours in a warehouse, blackmail and then microchip her like they had. That seemed to keep the woman’s mouth shut for the time being. Though Linsey easily concluded that that was not Selina’s style.
Thanking the server and her hostess once more, she took an almond from the tray and placed it into her mouth. Linsey nodded and snacked as she followed along. Relieved she would not have to squeeze into that unmerciful cat suit and attempt to mock such complicated patterns of getting around that Catwoman was known for, she would much rather spend the evening wearing the latest and greatest designer and eating fine cuisine – even if she was required to be with Summer Gleeson.
“My, this is going to take quite a bit of rehearsal, to convince not only Miss Gleeson that I am you, but the rest of the room who are sure to plan their evening so they might have at least one exchange with the lovely Ms. Kyle.” It was hard to disguise her smile at this point. The plan was quite consuming in all sense of the word, but brilliant. It left little mess and there was little to risk as long as she played the part correctly and dedicated herself to the project. Of course, Linsey always met such requirements regardless of how demanding they were. “You are quite the mastermind.” Linsey stated, taking an olive for herself. “Who all will know about this arrangement?” The redhead asked quickly now that it appeared as though she had the floor.

Considering she had planned heists down to the half second, this whole ordeal had been concocted off the cuff. On the fly. And there were clear issues that were arising with each minute. Listening as she picked a second and third olive from between them and ate them, she had to think. Yes, it was a process. And yes, it was going to be an elaborate heist. Something that would require perfection on both parties. As well as Linsey having knowledge only Selina would be aware of. And it was going to be no small event either.
"You're right. It will take not only rehearsal to figure out my nuances, but acclimation to the people I know. Both personally, and professional. No doubt you'll need to interact with Bruce Wayne. Considering I'll be...myself, I can handle Batman if he decides to show, which I am hoping he does not." And really, doesn't show, considering she hadn't been able to run any of this by him as of late. He'd been 'busy.' Pursing her lips, she waved off the mention of Summer.
"Before we continue, just what exactly did you do to piss her off? Not that it's hard, considering she's so narrow minded when she wants to pursue a story. Then again...that doesn't matter. Only if you can't keep it separate from a different persona."
Reaching to her own purse, she withdrew several flashdrives, all strung up like keys on a chain. "Each one of these holds different information. One on attendees. Another on my own accomplishments. Another on basic information. It's going to be a lot to memorize, but will be invaluable in the long run. If you ever decide to blackmail me, you'd have any and everything you'd need." Singling out another one, she spoke on what that drive held. "This one has dossiers on who will be at there, as of Thursday's RSVP's. It's a smaller event, considering how 'small' Gotham can be considered. Basic information, and 'your' interactions are going to be listed. This one, is special." Another was swung around to point at Linsey. "This is going to be for your viewing pleasure. Snippets of myself caught on camera for nearly every single event I have been at in Gotham so far. Mannerisms, walking. Talking. Interacting. Good things to study considering you will be me."
Laughing as a brief interlude she not only refilled Linsey's glass, but topped off her own. "Perhaps at a later point, we can get you fitted for outfits, and then kitted with your own fancy things. And you'll get one of these. If I don't wear it that night, it will be questioned by those that know me." She slightly guffawed, a rough, hoarse laugh that was full of ire. Fingertip and thumb gently worked at her ear, withdrawing a small earpiece that settled into the inner ear canal quite nicely. Very hard to see, unless you were not only close, but looking for it as well.
