To help warm up the growing chilly weather and in a way to welcome the fall. A party was arranged, a few weeks in the making by locals in Gotham. Mostly college kids and the young a like. Mostly heard of from friends, a flyer perhaps or a potential friendly yet weird stranger. Though it wasn’t set in any run down factory or Billy’s house or around the corner just begging for the cops to pull several plugs. This was set not too far out of the city, still very much there, but it was as you would say a little bit discreet. The buildings were in few and created quite the sky line from along the coast. Perfect location for a Bonfire and potentially wild party. Rather cheap too. With it being free. Along food, drinks and music. Not all overly good, but at a point it probably won’t even matter. The time will certainly be good if not epic. An epic night Roy certainly couldn’t pass up. Well, not the drinking part, he was still very much walking that line of staying sober, despite knowing it would potentially be pouring tonight and the beer kegs almost begging him, but no he wasn’t for that… He was here for the music mostly. Even though the gig wasn’t paid, but in this position any gig was a good gig. A place to be heard or simply to practise performing. Try out something perhaps different, this be the place to do it.
There was still a sun to set this time, but it was certainly closer to being dusk, as Roy arrived at the location. Dressed casually Jeans, white t shirt and red flannel shirt over the top. How he arrived there was rather subjectively, but you can be assured when in doubt Roy always finds a way or a friend. In a slight different fashion as a certain princess would… Not that he can’t say he never tried the kissing on the first day, but it was a little more hit and miss for him. Nonetheless, Roy was here and with instrument in hand. Shortly his band mates would meet him as he made way to an old boat dock, that would be used as a sort staging area. Not big, but hey why not use it whilst its there. There probably be other bands not just Roy’s, that be expected, but they were certainly prepared for it. Putting his guitar within the case down for the moment. He greeted Sara and Roxy shortly after. Along with some other familiar and soon to be familiar faces. Before helping to cart wood over to where the bonfire was being built. Carting the larger logs rather easy, breaking a minor sweat, impressing a couple ladies no doubt, even without super powers. Though of course somewhere, would be his Arsenal gear, where would be guessing game that be best not played.. Suppose with no telephone booth for that swift Krytonian change, he’d probably have to stick with slight wooded area from the coast… Well, it couldn’t be as bad as changing in a back alley, or lord like that one time… Yeah, Roy certainly didn’t need to relive that, but you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes. Though his gut said there probably be less need for his equipment, at least here. He hardly expected to stay to late in the night, even if it made him sound old and going to bed early. When in fact its probably been a long time he hadn’t gone to bed before midnight, but insomnia more often than not suited him just fine… Sometime after offering hand to set up the bonfire and the kegs arrived. Aided a little in the starting of the fire. He was no boy scout, but he did grow up in a tribe. He knew a thing or two about starting fires, though he didn’t aid greatly, best avoid questions.
Roy motioned back to the little staging area, not far of course and greeted his band mates as they arrived. Setting up the instruments there wasn’t a lot of equipment given it be acoustic, as Roy then unbuckled his guitar case a pulled his instrument out. Ran his fingers along the strings and flick with a pick. It needed a little adjusting, so taking guitar in hand, Roy took a seat at the edge of the little dock and cradled his guitar on his lap. Began tweaking his guitar, taking his time to make sure it would be just right, it wasn’t the world’s greatest guitar and probably not even close, but it was his guitar. He knew it well. As he lifted his eyes off a little as the bonfire began to finally grow and almost roar. The heat was certainly a benefit as the sun was drawing to a close, the water some inches behind was starting to carry more of that chill over the surface and into the breeze. A reminder that summer was very much behind them and soon this will all probably be covered in snow soon. Which wasn’t all bad, if Roy could find a decent place to snowboard, but that would take some time… As Roy quietly continued to find tune his guitar and more people began to arrive at party.

The walks that Jon has been taking Heather on lately have become an enjoyable routine for both of them. Or at least they have been for her - that Jon enjoys them as well is something she can only presume because he continues to take her on them. She's never quite certain whether he has a plan for what route they'll take before they head out or if he does it more on the fly - such things do not concern her, and she's always happy to follow Jon wherever he leads her. It's his presence and not the scenery that she enjoys most, after all.
Which isn't to say that the scenery is completely inconsequential. In fact, she's quite enjoying today's route - he's taken them along the pedestrian walkway over the bridge where it connects to the mainland. It's not a short walk - in fact, she half suspects that they'll be turning around to head home before they make it all the way across, but the views of the city are impressive and the wind coming off the river is refreshing even if it's a bit chilly. In fact, with the sun so close to the horizon the setting is actually extremely romantic, though Heather has absolutely no idea whether or not such a thing would occur to Jon. Knowing him, probably not, but then again... Since the, uh, change in their relationship he's become less predictable to her that way.
In any event, it's as she's idly looking at all that she can see from this view that she spots something happening in the distance on the far shoreline. It's still far enough away that it takes her several more minutes of staring at it before she thinks she knows what she's seeing. "Is that a bonfire party?" she asks out loud, wondering if Jon might have an easier time seeing it. He is, after all, more gifted at spotting things than she is. Then again, that's usually been little details that she missed about things that were close up, and not things off it the distance.
"I used to love going to those..." she adds, her voice becoming highly nostalgic and even longing as she remembers bonfire parties of years past. College, mostly - she was a communications major, and quite obsessed with the idea of getting on the radio, but that doesn't mean that she didn't have other priorities besides her schooling. She'd had quite the social life, attending any party she could, if it sounded like it would be her kind of fun, and bonfire parties generally fit the bill. Relaxed, casual, and populated by a large number of people who aren't trying to impress anyone - that's definitely a scene that she can appreciate.
Of course, that was all before Jon. And though she wouldn't give him up for all the bonfire parties in the world, she did give up a lot of things when she found herself deciding to stay with him willingly. Having a decent social life and therefore much of an opportunity to go to such things is one of them, and though she considers the exchange to have been worth it that doesn't mean that she doesn't miss all of that.

Where some may have walked. Drove. Heck perhaps even swam if dared in the waters of Gotham… Miss Kory Anders otherwise better known as Starfire, flew. Flew as if it was like breathing air… Which lets face it, with Kory not actually breathing oxygen, this was in ways the next best thing… Well, as far as Kory could know… She had been flying since, hmmm. Its a good chance before she could walk, still she thoroughly enjoyed it, as simple as it was. Even with the shortest of trips. Bludhaven was not that far by car, so it was nice little trip through the air… As she moved freely over the city. With little as much of a wink from the people below. So as Kory knew. She was generally pretty good with cover, it slipped her mind less and less the longer she was on this planet, but mistakes could still happen. Wasn’t like she could stake out all the possible on lookers or try to guess just who might be in trees… So far so good… As Kory had etched towards the bonfire, she was certainly up for a little party. A little bit of fun, however long it lasted, but she was never one to not be optimistic. Catching the starting of smoke, the tiny flickering of flames. Not long before they would almost match her fiery hair. Catching the aroma of salt, well was perhaps less pleasant smells from the water, but the tamaranean focused mainly on the salt. What little touches of summer that had past, with every setting sun… It was quite a glow as it set somewhere behind her. She could still feel the rays sinking into her skin, keeping her strength up and warmth very much up. Somewhere between the trees near the coast. Kory landed…. Landed as out of sight as possible, apart from maybe a squirrel. X’hal knows what the little critter thought, as a nut dropped somewhere at her feet.
Making her way from the slight crowded trees and towards the party… Pulled a leaf or two from her loose tousled red hair. Picked another off her loose off white sweater that hung a little off one golden shoulder. Paired with cut off jean shorts, leaving her long golden legs exposed as Kory crossed a small road, before making way towards the bonfire a couple feet away. With comfy sandals. A simple bag that hung over her shoulder and balanced a little at the hip. Sunglasses, although there was probably less use from them later on… Upon the entrance, she waved at her friends, though stopped short as some men were moving some kegs from a back of a truck and Kory nicely lent a hand. Even two… As she rather easily carried a couple of full kegs, thinking little of it… Suppose if eyes weren’t on her entrance, they might have been now. Then again it wasn’t a long walk from the truck, so it was pretty quick, as Kory settled the kegs down in place somewhere by the bonfire… It was certainly feeling warm and nice… Perhaps a little nicer… As Kory shifted a few wood pieces and a rather large one. Before subtly moving her hand over and helped warm it up… Just a tad. Really not one would have noticed, least other than the fire growing a little… Swiftly took back her hand, as Sarah and Roxy came over… Roxy was also a model and had become rather nice friends through work with Kory. She was also a college student along with Sarah and worked a small cafe bar. Where of course Roy visited frequently, with his band of course. It was a good music spot, although suppose all spots were good. She had sure found Roy in the oddest places… Greeting her sweet friends in simple chatter and rather harm friendly hugs. With drinks already in there hands. Kory rather pulled for a bottle of water for now, no need to go wild… As chatter moved to some laughter, her eyes caught Roy… Whom she waved and he motioned at her subtly from where he sat with his guitar. Excusing herself momentarily from Roxy and Sarah. To go and say hi to Roy… Well, suppose a proper hi. It was rather rushed this morning.
”Evening…! What your good looks cooking?”
Casually, yet still with the pointedly good feel tone as she approached the stage. More pointedly Roy. With the hints of red. He was rather unmistakable. Offering a subtle motion of her hand… Before offering more friendly waves as Roy’s bandmates… She didn’t know them as well as Roy knew them, obviously. She didn’t do much of the singing, least not on a stage, but she knew them from the passing moments she had so far. Plus she was generally friendly to everyone she met. With a playfully wink and a playful couple of laughs. Kory played at the attempts of a human line. Part of many, some that had attempted to teach Kory, though mostly they were confusing. Or completely off track or ridiculous, part suppose in her world people always meant what they said… Sarcasm was very different, if not, non-existent. But, she could certainly try… As her eyes were momentarily taken as more people arrived. Greetings. Handshake… A holla here. A holla there. Wild excitement, why not… They were away from the structure of the city, more or less let loose… Or simply be themselves. Kory motioned for a seat closely beside Roy. Her hands placed either side upon the wooden dock, scratching lightly at the edge.
”This is gonna be one heck of a party, Roy… Perfect spot, too!"
Perhaps it was a bold prediction, Kory generally wasn’t much one for fortune telling, but she could be easily optimistic, that and the night had the feeling… Then again suppose that feeling had ended up in bad situations before, such things are hardly ever planned. Otherwise, if it was. It be a whole lot easier for the heroes of the world… It breathed something simple and the fire was already had something beautiful about it, whilst being ruff around the edges… Such a thing like a bonfire was rather rare for her. Least to this scale and with especially this view of the water… Which perhaps wasn’t like in Miami or even close to Tahiti, but still very nice. As Kory’s eyes happily gazed out at the water and gazed around the bonfire. At familiar faces and unfamiliar faces. Resting back on her arms a little as she stretched out her legs just a tad. All the really was missing was more friends, which perhaps could tickle the thoughts of Donna, because no doubt she would have loved this.

Dr. Crane had always preferred walking over driving, unless the situation called for it. If he needed to be at a place quickly then he would take a care and use it to accomplish the task. He used to have a drivers license of his own, but since he’d been arrested he hadn’t had a single valid license aside from his inmate ID at Arkham. But having a number there didn’t stop him from breaking out any more than not having a valid license to drive stopped him from driving.
It was only recently that he had decided to walk for leisure again instead of purpose, this time having Miss Glass along with him. The amount of time she was spending in the lab with his was unhealthier for her, especially since she really wasn’t doing anything productive. On the occasion she would watch him, which was good. Eventually he knew that she would probably pick it up and be able to mimic what he did, but only with special teaching would she be able to get it completely right. He didn’t mind that she knew this process because of that. Getting out was good for them both, though he knew that she needed it a lot more than he did.
This particular night they had decided to take a walk by the bay over the bridge. They had been talking idly, but nothing with real substance besides mentioning what happened the day prior or remembering something interesting. Most of the time Dr. Crane just listened to her and had very little to say. On the rare occasion she would get him talking about fear, which always lead to him being long winded. But there was nothing wrong with that. He looked up from the ground as she mentioned the light in the distance. He carefully adjusted the frame of his glasses and set his sights on it. “It looks like it.” He confirmed for her and changed his sight from the fire to her. He was going to leave it there and say nothing more about it, but her next statement made him change his mind.
They weren’t doing anything and he could possibly get a new subject from the party, if indeed there was one. There would always be one drunk individual that offered themselves up. “Then we’ll go.” He offered and started in that direction around the bay. It would be a little bit of a walk but they wouldn’t miss the party by the time they arrived. If he remembered correctly these kind of college events sometimes lasted until dawn or even after. Dr. Crane never went to any himself, he didn’t have time in school. Even if he did they were a waste of time, but keeping Miss Glass out of the monotony that was her daily routine was the idea here.
He slipped his hand in hers and picked up the pace toward the party.

Tim was walking along the edge of the city, just relaxing and thinking. He had had a relatively good day, but an argument with Bruce had sent it soaring downhill. So the teen decided to walk and clear his head. Every once in a while, Tim would free run around the outskirts of the city, or sit and chill. He did this for a few hours, and by the time he was finally bored, it was sunset.
Tim stood up straight and took a deep breath. He smelt a slight hint of smoke. Tim looked out in the distance and saw smoke and a red blaze. With his curiosity intrigued, Tim ran off towards the source.
After a few minutes of jogging, Tim arrived at what appeared to be a bonfire party. He looked around. The fire looked nice and warm, and there was a little food, and tons of kegs. (Not that Tim would be drinking any of that stuff anyway.) After examining the setting, the teen scanned the crowd for familiar faces. Across the setting, Tim saw a face that set off a bell in his head. The name didn't come up immediately, but when Tim saw the woman near him, it instantly clicked. Besides, who wouldn't recognize an enormously tall golden women with blazing red hair like that.
Tim pulled his red hood over the top of his head, and put on his sunglasses. The teen faded into the crowd and worked his way over to Kori and Roy. He took a place a few feet away from the two superheroes out of costume. He sent a few glances there way, just observing the scene. Tim looked out towards the edge of the crowd and saw a tall lanky figure and a young woman. Again, it set off a bell in Tim's head, but this time he drew a blank on who it was. Tim settled in, and got ready to enjoy the show, and everything else that would happen at the party.

There were a few familiar faces. Roy hit a lot of parties. Mostly through playing with the band… Occasionally not, sometimes one just needed a break. Even without alcohol, Roy could still make fun of it. It was surprising how much you actually miss when drunk.. His fingers were at his guitar. Chilling. Roy did the wholes chilling vive, well. Whilst being focused on his task at getting his instrument just right in the tuning. As the minor chatting happened somewhere behind him with his bandmates, also setting up. Subtle laughs. They were good blokes… His eyes that mindfully played at the people coming to the bonfire, he more than once glances in the direction of Sara. With a subtle smile. It wasn’t by any means serious, just nice… As his eyes then caught the arrival of Kory. Bright red hair and legs to mars, she didn’t exactly get lost in a crowd. Roy signalled to her… He was surprised and yet not shocked to see her by herself. What was it this time? Because he was officer Grayson? Not that anything about this party was entirely illegal, well… Perhaps chances of underage drinking, if kids sneaked in… Hmmm, perhaps it was a good thing, if he wasn’t coming… As his eyes retracted back to his guitar as Kory happily approached… A half smirk and half frown came to his brows at Kory’s words. More her way of the human language and it many many sayings. For all kinds of reasons… It was certainly a little more bizarre when she spoke them, but somewhat adorable in her attempt.
”Evening, Princess… Hmmm, I’ve been asking that question since I was 10 years old… Grab a seat… Where’s Dick or did he let you loose tonight? Which by the way, if he’s teaching you these sayings… Remind me to teach you better ones!“
Promptly Roy responded in equal measure and casual politeness. Basically, being himself. It got him this far and he lived with her… He stopped in his tracks of playing his guitar for a brief moment. Though his response to her question, did cause stray glances near and around the bonfire… To say it simply, he didn’t really have bad luck with attracting ladies since a young age, but whether that was by looks or his incredible charms, was open to debate. Sure, Roy could play it up, as his former mentor could, but he liked to think he wasn’t that full of himself. Roy laughed subtly as his eyes lightly played upon Kory, whether or not she understood what he meant, was another thing… He could do confusing well… As even Roy offered, Kory motioned to a space somewhere beside him… His fingers strayed lightly on the strings of his guitar again, but didn’t really find any serious notes. As he gave most of his attention, in his casual manner. Asking the noted absences. With another half smirk. Sometimes, even as Roy may assume it was best to not know exactly what the couple discussed. Somethings he’d rather not know… Though, then as he paused more promptly again from playing his guitar. With a slight play of hand gestures to Kory as he suggested, if Dick was teaching her these kinds of things. Sayings. Which perhaps a little outdated… He could offer his own insight. He had very good history, perhaps being musical helped or just more savvy. That and he hadn’t hung up on childish catch phases so long as Dick had… Roy could almost shiver remembering that time… The very very early days of titans… Of course he was mostly joking… Roy smiled humbly at Kory’s comments. On the party. The locations. The weather, more or less. It wasn’t suppose to be anything fancy. After no real money was really going into this or out of it. Just casual and fun. There was little that could ruin it, even if people got drunk, that was expected. Not that Roy would, he would be a good boy.
”Yeah, its looking like a good turn out… Drake? What are you doing…? Trying to run and hide from the cape crusader? This really isn’t Bruce’s scene. I’d say you’re safe…!"
Simply Roy answered casually, yet confidentially. Very little could go wrong, but suppose one really shouldn’t half guess in a city like this. Really little, really would put much a target on such an average party for young people. Suppose, heroes already here. They were prepared… Roy’s eyes looked up over the surface of the water. As the sun was sinking down. Creating an overlaying deep orange. Mixed into darkness in a haze over the city and surrounding area. Bring the feels of autumn, as random leaves loosely began to fall and change colour… As Roy glanced, he soon took noticed of the rather short figure some couple of feet from where they sat… Great, kids. As Roy expected some kids would find their way in, but he soon realised it wasn’t just a kid… It was the new and improved boy wonder… Catching as he nodded in their general direction. Roy amused frowned slightly as Drake hid behind glasses and under a hood. As if he was trying to hid at a party where no one, really knew anyone or least not a lot really cared who you were. That was kind of the point. An excuse to be a little stupid, without the restrictions upon them as they were in the city… As Roy called to him and rather called him out on it. Assuming, a chance he had ran away from Batman. Roy couldn’t imagine him sending Tim here, unless to stake the place out… Of course perhaps there was a chance Bruce would drop by. Certainly nothing stopped him, but Roy couldn’t really see this being a scene for the billionaire. Nor Batman unless something unfortunate was about to happen and at this rate very very little even seemed out of place. Least offering Drake, advice he was welcome as casual as Roy’s greeting to him was.
”Just stay away from booze and floozies… Last thing I need, is broken legs! Keep an eye on him! Please!"
With the party being a free and open as it was. Roy really wasn’t up to kicking out kids that show up. It was mostly just keep a somewhat eye on it, if it showed signs of getting out of hand and well… It was odd telling someone know, when he had done it… Suppose it hadn’t been a totally wise move then, given the addict he became… So he did have another bit of a heads up to Tim, but suppose being totally wild, wasn’t much of a trait for Robins. Roy was sure there was little concern, Tim seemed to be a kid with a good head on his shoulders, but who knew when temptation was presented… Roy offered a slight amused expression to Tim, but he meant what he had said… Partly because if this did get back to Bruce or maybe even Dick, if he didn’t show up himself. Yeah, no doubt Roy be punished for it. Not that he was necessarily afraid, just precautious. He favoured his limbs, as Roy spoke more subtly in low tone and eyes moved then to Kory. Not meant to sound overly demanding, as Roy suggested Kory maybe keep an eye, where Roy perhaps could not tonight. Just incase. He wasn’t that paranoid… As Roy’s finger lightly tapped on his guitar. Getting ready for the night.

When Jon responds to her words the way that he does, Heather is almost shocked. He wants to go to a bonfire party? But that's... social. Though once she wraps her mind around the idea, she realizes that she did sound like she would really like to go and he's probably willing to endure it for her sake. But that almost makes her not want to go - yeah, she'd probably like it, but she doesn't want him to have to go do something he doesn't want to. But then he takes her hand and starts walking faster, as if determined to do it. Well, if he wants to try and please her that badly, maybe she should let him.
Though they aren't walking toward it for too much longer before she realizes that, try as he might, Jon's probably not going to be able to last the party without... you know, doing something. And that thing will probably spoil the party. Though after pondering that thought for several moments she realizes that she doesn't care about that too much - she'll have had fun by then, and she's gotten enough used to Jon doing his thing that that alone is not enough to ruin her evening - just as long as things don't get 'messy' - even if it ruins someone else's. Is that selfish of her? Well, probably, but then she realizes that she doesn't care about that either.
It's a very long walk the rest of the way there, but Heather's used to walking and isn't even really tired when they get there. Walking is just time-consuming, is all. She doesn't expect either Jon or herself to be recognized, at least not right away. Jon's pretty hit and miss as far as anyone knowing who he is outside of costume, and nobody would think that he'd be here, while her most distinguishing characteristic is her hair and that's easily fixed by a hat. That plus the fading light ought to be enough to throw people off.
As they approach close enough to see more than the bonfire itself, Heather has to say that she likes the setup. Not just the bonfire, but there's some drinks and even some live music - yep, they have their party basics covered. Glancing up at Jon, she gives him an amused smile as she strengthens her grip on his hand and tugs him toward the fire as if she believes that he's going to back out of the situation at the last moment. But though bonfire itself doesn't have to be the center of the party if there's music, she figures he'd probably enjoy watching the fire more than he'd enjoy having her try to convince him to dance.

After the initial greeting with her friends. Kory was greeting Roy, getting ready to play a little sweet sweet music for the bonfire night. The tamaranean princess smiled warmly at the greeting. Calling her princess, was part of his charm and it didn’t phase her… Though at his response, Kory offered a slightly confused look. It wasn’t really what she expected he’d answer, but she really didn’t know what she expected. Somehow she was picturing a growth, it wasn’t like it was completely uncommon, but Kory kind of caught what Roy meant with the amusing look he gave… Well, that and Kory knew Roy pretty well. Not that there wasn’t more to learn. Kory could very much imagine Roy was very cute as a child. Well, she kinda knew from photos. Oh, how adorable those freckles were. Kory smiled happily as she took the seat beside her teammate. Roommate. Felt the slight moving of sand beneath her sandals. It wasn’t the same feel as Tahiti or Hawaii, but it wasn’t that bad. It just wasn’t a tropical kinda of place, but there was no mistaking the beautiful sunset. As Kory could happily admire the beauty that was Gotham. Offering a half smile at the mentioning of Dick, the slight fluttering of the heart. If only he was here. Hand in hand. Even side by side. It would be most enjoyable, but Kory didn’t feel entirely lonely.
”From what I’ve seen, you were quite the cutie pie… Let me? You should know me better than that, but from Dick said over the phone. He had some loose ends to take care of at ‘work’. He’ll make it if he can… I sure hope so. Otherwise, he’ll miss out on the marshmallows… Actually! That one; I think I heard from Gar…. Better ones, or ones that can get me into trouble?"
Charmingly Kory commented, half imagined he’d look like cupid, minus wings and perhaps a more devious smile. Maybe. Kory smiled kindly and a little bit playfully. As her eyes brushed over as Roy strummed a little at his guitar. He was gifted in a lot of ways… Kory asked back lightly, to Roy. Obviously he knew her better than that. She never let anyone make her do anything, least of all by force, she was here by free will and because she wanted to be here. Of course Dick knew she was here and she’d wish he was, but she wouldn’t make him anymore than he would have made her… As Kory hinted at Dick being at work, whether that was just cop work or other more undercover type of work in the city of Bludhaven, was another thing entirely. Whatever it was, Kory was strongly assured he’d come out on top. Dick always did. Perhaps if not here, Kory would be sharing marshmallows by the after party. As Kory gestured by pulling out a large bag of marshmallows and there was more in the trunk of Roy’s car. Why did Kory know this, because she packed them of course. Kory responded simply in response to what she had said or somewhat quoted. Recalling perhaps it had been Gar, she was almost sure. She had tried, but she could confess she hadn’t been overly serious with in saying it, but she sure meant the light hearted emotions behind it… Lightly jested at Roy’s teaching, least from what Dick and other titans over the years and things Roy said. Kory playfully smiled and lightly giggled. As her green eyes behind the sunglasses, looked about the growing number of arrivals and people already at the party. It was becoming quite the gathering and Kory was very happy for it. She enjoyed the company of people. Meeting new people, making new friends and even hanging out with close friends. As Kory looked as Roy spoke of Drake. Before looking to where Roy was talking to and she happily smiled to see Tim. The new Robin. There certainly something familiar and yet different at the same time about him. Kory half listened to what Roy said as it was being directed to Tim. Noting now the hood and glasses, she didn’t see so much as hiding, but agreed he was more or less safe… Although, here was hoping Bruce could show up. After all, Bruce attending a lot of parties. Why not a bonfire? Suppose it be a wait before sitting around a campfire and Bruce telling them stories, but you can never say never… Keeping an eye on Tim, that Kory could do, but not entirely for those reasons. She had a little more faith in Tim, but she greatly cared about him. Most importantly she considered him a friend, a close friend and she hadn’t seen him in the recent days, maybe even weeks. She was happy to catch up with him.
”Greetings, Tim… How are you, sweetie? I’d say you’re a little paranoid, Roy… Are you here alone? We can do the hanging out, I’ve got mallows and you can fill me in on your recent adventures.”
Motioning back to her feet and a slight dusting off sand off her shorts. Kory took the few short steps, to warmly greet Tim. Standing over six foot, she was quite taller than his 14 year old self. Motioned for a simple, casual, friendly hug. Sincerely, asking how he was. It was a surprise he was here, but Kory was certainly happy for it. Kindly smiling, before lightly commenting as she looked back to Roy, raising a playfully eyebrow. Basically telling Tim not to do what Roy would have done. That or Roy was a little weary of Bruce… Though did curiously ask if Tim was here by his self. Perhaps he could be meeting up with friends? As Kory slightly looked around, though everyone did seem rather older, but a couple younger. Closer to him in age, but no doubt. Kory was very much happy to do the hanging. Which She was almost sure she knew how to do after the many years with the titans. Did she have stories to tell Tim? As she happily smiled as if she was almost sure she was in with the coolness. That and marshmallows. As she held up the bag. Well, Kory offered. He may have other plans or friends, but the offer was there. Which she was keen, to be filled in on what he had been up to. Whether as Robin or at school or hobbies, anything and leave Roy to his band. As the party had slowly began to fill up, it was suddenly filling up a little faster now. Not a huge huge party by any means, but definitely a nice turn out. Which with all the bad Gotham can go through in a regular night, it was a much need of just casual fun and dancing of course.

Just as Tim was settling into his chair, a powerful, yet friendly voice beckoned to him.
"Drake? What are you doing…? Trying to run and hide from the cape crusader? This really isn’t Bruce’s scene. I’d say you’re safe…!"
Tim scowled and looked up at the source. Suddenly the identities of the two figures clicked. Roy Harper and Koriand'r, more commonly known as Kori Anders. But Tim recognized them as Arsenal and Starfire, young superheroes and former Teen Titans. Tim had spent a good bit of time with them, Kori mostly. Of course he spent a good bit of time with Roy too, but he also spent alot of time with Kori. However, he hadn't seen them in a few weeks.
Tim first met Kori and Roy when he was hanging out with Dick. Of course it sounds a little stereotypical, the cool big brother has to take care of his little brother, but the best friends crash the party. Except, in most stereotypical situations the brothers aren't vigilantes and the friends aren't superpowered. But, ya know. After that, Tim spent time with the two during missions with the new Teen Titans. Roy and Kori were good mentors, besides, it was fun to have mentors that aren't brooding all the time.
Tim stood up and walked over to the two heroes. Tim shrugged. He was safe. He pulled off his hood and removed his sun glasses. Tim brushed the thin black hair out of his eyes and into a nice part. The only reason Tim was trying to stay incognito was so that someone didn't recognize Tim Drake, the adopted son of Bruce Wayne. But now the teen realized this isn't some stingy party where everyone cares who everyone else is (Like the parties he usually went to to support Bruce, or the school parties where all the girls and kids swarmed you if you had money in your family), it was simply everyone having fun, who you are doesn't matter, what you do does. People aren't going to notice you unless you're being a jerk.
"What's up? Bruce can be a little.... overbearing." Tim smiled at the two.
”Just stay away from booze and floozies… Last thing I need, is broken legs! Keep an eye on him! Please!" Roy said, the first part of the sentence being directed towards Tim and the second part directed towards Kori.
"The booze, you don't have to worry about. I'm not into that kind of thing. And, well, if everyone behaves themselves... I'll behave myself" Tim said with a smirk and a wink.
Tim casually recieved the hug from the enormously tall woman. She was so tall, the top of the fourteen year old boy's head barely reached her shoulder, even though Tim was considered tall for his age.
”Greetings, Tim… How are you, sweetie? I’d say you’re a little paranoid, Roy… Are you here alone? We can do the hanging out, I’ve got mallows and you can fill me in on your recent adventures.” Kori said cheerily.
"I'm good, I'm good. How are you guys doing? Yeah, I'm here alone. We don't have to hang if you don't want to. I didn't mean to intrude, just trying to, ya know, escape 'that' life." Tim said as he graciously accepted the soft, sweet mallow. It surely was a surpise to run into them, but it was a pleasant surprise.

Ever so lightly Roy tapped his foot on the edge of the stage that he sat now with Kory. With his guitar in hand, tweaking it. Setting it just right. Whilst keeping himself very aware as Kory bantered with him. Whilst the bonfire was filling with quite the audience. Not too crowded, yeah it was definitely going to be the night to let loose and let go. In so many ways of speaking. Mostly Roy just had the notion of losing himself in music. A couple of friends, wishing others were here, but that was life. It could suck… Roy’s fingers played with the tuning pegs. As his other drummed a little on the strings, fining the tunes. Cutie pie? Roy paused briefly to look to Kory. What was seriously about him that was cute? He thought he was more the rugged handsome type… Oh, wait. His smile. Yes, he had often been told he had a cute smile. Well, one of his ways of smiling. As Roy half bared his grin, as innocently as he could almost play, when he was sure he lost his innocence a long, long. Very long time go. Suppose being pretty much an orphan by the time you were 3, would do that to you, but who seriously was holding any grudges. Roy couldn’t even remember much that far back. Nodded along as Kory bantered on.
”I guess I was and who doesn’t like pie…! Of course… Hmmm, going by his meaning of ‘loose ends’. That maybe a while, hon… But, I’m sure he’ll try. Especially for the mallows… Trouble? I would never seek to get you trouble, princess? However, if you keep listening to everything Gar says, he might.“
Simply Roy said with the added tone of charm. With the underlaying of the humble pie…. Hmmm, pie. As Roy couldn’t help, but add the attraction of pie. Not that you’d ever tell he ate pie with his lean and toned frame. Flat torso of muscle, but he still very much liked pie as most would. Not that he ever binged a whole pie, whilst crying to some love crap movie. No. Never… His addictions could be a little more hardcore… Or soothing, music was an addiction. He was sure. Fiddling a little more with another peg, as Roy rebutted Dick’s ‘loose ends’. He had only meant in sarcasm before that Dick let her, as it was perhaps questionable if Dick exactly liked parties? Or really anything more than work? Of course, Roy knew Dick for a long time. To know, Dick’s workaholic ways had more to do with duty. He could paint he doesn’t like to chill, but that would be wrong. Dick just had a high stress level… Though with the discussion of Marshmallows and things that were were soft, fluffy. Roy jested, Dick would definitely try for. Not that Roy’s eye level exactly changed at that. Before laughing subtly, before playing he was hurt, with a motion of a hand to his chest. Trouble? Why did everyone think trouble when they thought of him? Roy was adamant he did not do labels… Though Roy wasn’t too short to jokingly put Gar under that label.
”What’s up? I’d hope for fireworks like the 4th of july, but it isn’t that rich of a party… Still a good turn out, a good night, can’t complain… A little would be an understatement, Timmy!"
Roy levelled his hands to half rest on his guitar as Tim made his short way from where Roy had spotted him. Seemingly a little out of place, then again, perhaps it was expected for the Robins to rebel. A little. At least get out of the nest, so to speak. Least in Tim’s case, he didn’t seem to have a problem with his sensibility. Which was more than Roy could say even about himself when he was that age. Then again Ollie wasn’t always as overbearing as Bruce. He could be, but Ollie was more a playboy than simply acting as one. Roy lightly smiled, mused as he half looked up to the sky and behind them. With the sun setting against the horizon. Not that it wasn’t an attraction, but Roy could very much do fireworks on night like to night. Lights. Explosions. What wasn’t there to like? As Roy half jested, that be what was missing tonight. Otherwise the party was perfect, it didn’t to be flashy. Just your typical good bonfire party. It really wasn’t hard to get right and Roy had been to his fair share. He’d be happy to take Tim under his wing, if he wasn’t with his band tonight. That might have to fall on somebody else… Joking, Roy was giving Tim a little hard time playing the little Timmy joke, but he really wouldn’t be Roy if he didn’t. though it wasn’t lie that Bruce could be overbearing, but certainly more than a little.
”Smart! Hmmm, I wouldn’t worry too much, its typically just shoving, minor and works themselves out. Expected with the booze… Though I do expect some might find themselves bare in the water… I’m sure Bruce has sat you down and told you; about the birds and the bees!"
Simply Roy could say and wish he had been smarter, though booze in ways more found its way to him. Then it was just a slippery slope. It was down to the individual, some better than others. For Roy he was hooked, lined and sinked. Even literally on occasion. There be no need to hide booze here, so the punch should generally be spiked free, although surely Tim knew about the little cups of jelly… Hmmm, yeah, Roy was sure… Roy smiled and nodded at Tim’s response with behaving himself, or lack of, as Roy took in relating to fights breaking out. Which, sure happened at parties, Roy couldn’t completely doubt. He had seen a lot of shit happen at parties, but it was less of a worry. Most people here were from college and young adults. Stupid, but not that stupid. Just looking to chill and let loose. Having to much crazy stuff happen, would probably make it harder to have a party such like this and in this city. But yes, crazy things. Was expected. As Roy hinted. He knew to well with a party with a pool. A rive. An ocean… Well, even with out water. Losing of clothing was highly possible. Half warning Tim, though being fourteen, Roy couldn’t imagine he’d be entirely lacking hormones… Roy’s eyes brushed over as Kory stood up and greeted Tim. Hugging him. Turned briefly back to is guitar, as his ears played lightly to what was spoken. Mostly he was just focused to be getting on the stage and start playing soon.
”With my band. A night like this, I’m always good, mate… We’ve all been in the same boat, it can get tedious at times."
Yeah, it was a pretty cool place to be. Physically. Mentally. Here. Now. Roy was even more sober than he had been in a long time. Struggling less. Sure, there was always going to be moments a little tougher than others, but that was life. Life wasn’t easy and Roy knew that since he was a kid… But, there was something nice and relaxing. About playing with his band on a night like this… Roy chimed in at Tim mentioning escaping ‘that’ life. The life of a hero. Or in his case even more so the life of a sidekick, which Roy knew very well of. Thats not to say he did not love it. He did. He most certainly did. He was the one that went to Ollie, not the other way around. Roy had wanted this life, but in taking on such a life, means letting go of other things in life. With all the stresses, can be difficult, even more so when you are young and discovering the world, let alone yourself. It is no wonder why Dick and Roy like many others, ran away in search of just that in a T shaped tower. But a simple bonfire on the coast of Gotham, would do.
