Hey, everyone! I've got a new character here, looking for some plots to join and such. Evangelina is basically a corrupt cop who is a professional Dominatrix on the side - her whole profile is here: Link!So let me know here or with a PM if you have any cool ideas for things we could do - I think it would be really cool if she already knew a few people if you'd like to invent some past history. She could use friends, enemies, people to date, clients, etc. And since I guess she's the only cop on the site for the moment, she can get involved if someone needs to be arrested or something - she may be a corrupt cop, but she actually does do her job the right way much of the time because she doesn't want to get caught.

Well....you're not the only cop on the site. Maybe in Gotham. Officer Grayson of the Bludhaven PD. Though I haven't put many threads of him in uniform work as his civilian job.
There's always a chance to cross paths with the departments if you are up for a thread like that?

Come to think of it, if Officer Grayson has been on the force there for more than about a year then he has a good chance of already knowing her since she used to work there. Check out her bio for details.

Yeah, he joined the force shortly after he moved to Bludhaven, maybe a year into the move. So, I could image him knowing or have seen her at some point. Though he was in the rookie stages. By now, he'd gained some respect from some of the officers.
Though I'm sure he's still seen as a rookie to most of his senior officers since he hasn't been on the force for as long as then since he is still I would say under the 3 yrs mark.
I could see them as passing by every once and again. Maybe even his partner interacted with her more since that officer would have been on the force for some time. I'd be up for giving them a bit of history. She'd know him as the rookie. XD

Evangelina is not a rookie, but she's still only a regular patrol officer. She'd be at around the 6 years mark now. She's a tough woman and has the respect of the others, but on the other hand the other officers know what her side job is and since they're mostly men I can't imagine that they wouldn't talk about her behind her back - Dick probably would have therefore had far more opportunity to hear all about that than to actually talk to her and get to know her, lol.
In any event, I'd imagine that they know each other in passing, but don't really know each other as much more than a name, a face, and just a bit of reputation. But yeah, a little cop action would be nice if you can think of a good scenario. And perhaps we ought to invite the new Gordon?

Oh, I'd totally love to plot with you! I'm still trying to figure out some solid ideas though, but I'm likely to be totally on board with anything you suggest - Gordon's her boss, after all, so she'll do what he says, lol. I'm guessing a good source of ideas for police plots would be to look at what the other characters are up to, but I haven't done that in detail yet - I'm sure that someone's up to something that the police would want to look into.

I looked over your character sheet. Assuming she's been in Gotham for a year now, and her boss is Gordon, I think they have already gotten past the getting to know each other phase. I'd like to know what parts of her life is known by Gordon though. Does he know she's a dirty cop? Does he know about her sadomasochist ways? What parts of her is public to him and what isn't?

I'll try to help with a plot considering a Bludhaven officer would be involved in this. At work atm. So I'll try to scheme something and put it out there for you two so we can brainstorm. I'm thinking something with a serial killer since another city would be involved.

Gordon would know that she's done a few minor things - suspicious things more often than any solid proof of wrongdoing like being seen talking to a criminal and then giving an unsatisfactory answer when asked about it - enough to know that she's not exactly a model cop, but he'd not be at all aware of the full extent of what she does under the table. He'd also know that she's a very hardcore cop in tough situations - though that's more because she's bloodthirsty than because she's passionate about justice. She keeps that under control, but he'd know that's her motivation.
As for her sadomaso stuff, whether or not he knows would depend on how curious he is about her life when she's not on the job. She doesn't just throw it into a casual conversation, but it's not exactly a secret even though she doesn't bring it up unless asked - like if she's asked to make a sudden schedule change and she comments that she'll have to reschedule something and someone asks her what she's rescheduling she'd give the honest answer.

Okay, I'll just say that Gordon knows nothing of her night life, because I can't see how it will honestly matter to him. I suppose he just won't like her because he's dealt with cops like her in the past, he knows something is up, and if he has the opportunity to decommission her, he's going to take it. So we can build a plot around working together on a case and maybe go from there.

I like the idea of a serial killer case or something if it would bring all three of us together in a thread, though I think that the more connected what we do is to the rest of the action on the forum, the better. I was hoping to see if there was some crime on the forum that we could investigate (whether the criminal would be involved in the thread or not) but I'm not seeing anything obvious.
I'd say that she probably knows that Gordon doesn't like her and is therefore hoping for an opportunity to impress him if she can. She thinks that she totally deserves to be able to make detective even though her deductive skills with evidence (as opposed to people) isn't quite up to snuff - so that may get interesting, lol.

Well I spoke with Ava with that, she has a serial killer on the loose, but her level of trying to capture her character is almost crazy hard to solve because she's literally a ghost who doesn't leave any clues behind. I think the only way to catch her is to link the murders to her. I've also been coming up with a more contained and easier case to investigate. Dead psychologist, her suspect could be any one of her patients, its up to the GCPD to interrogate each one to find out who the culprit is. It's fairly straight forward, but I think we can double dip and do both of them.

Not looking to throw a wrench into your plot; but if you wanted a player controlled criminal for them to be going after; I would be willing to toss in the masked escape artist to play with you cops and commissioner.
