“Ted? Teddy! Someone’s at the door!” Laverne turned the shower off and pushed the curtain aside with a bit of hesitation Steam filled the small bathroom and the brunette shivered as she reached for a towel. After securing her long, brown locks in a towel she began to pat herself dry with another, teeth chattering and goosebumps racing across her exposed, damp skin. Another dainty knock grabbed her attention and an audible groan flew from the woman’s lips as she stuck her head out the door. “Teddy!” She screamed loudly, “Get the door!” When there were no footsteps signaling that he was going to answer the repeating knock, she rolled her eyes and wrapped the towel around her girlish frame before starting out of the bathroom.
When she walked into the living area, she noticed a note scribbled on the coffee table with refereed to her brother’s absence. Apparently he had run out for a couple minutes with a bit of business to attend to, but didn’t want to disturb her when she was taking a shower. She dropped the note back down with a start, having forgotten all about the guest at that door. Standing on her tiptoes to peer through the eye-hole, she called through the wood. “Who’s there?” She asked, but then ripped the door open the moment she saw the familiar brunette standing in the door way.
“Geez, you scared the hell outta me! Thought you were a killer or something. Then again, I guess a serial killer isn’t going to knock first. Why did you even knock? I know you have a key.” She exclaimed as she quickly pulled the woman into a hug, her skin still wet to the touch and her towel nearly falling off in the process. “How’ve you been? You look great! I’m really liking you with bangs!” Once she realized she was standing in the open with her towel, she moved back and invited Selina inside. “Come in, come in! Ted’s just stepped out for a bit, not sure what he went out for.”

She'd wanted to come to the station as soon as she'd heard the news. But instead she's come up with some excuse and wished him well, telling him to pass along that she'd want to see not-so-little Laverne sooner rather than later. As close as she had become to this family, there were still a few things you kept from your older brother.
It had been a long day of waiting and watching the clock. So even now as she'd made the quick jaunt across the park to his brownstone, she was grinning from ear to ear. She'd tucked a bottle of wine into her bag, and slipped into something comfortable. Skinny jeans, a slim tank, and a loose top that tended to slip off her shoulder. A pair of heels, because they never went out of style and she was there in minutes. She knocked, because, well, she always knocked, and was shocked when there was no response. Biting her lower lip she was ready, poised with her key as she was about to fit it into the lock.
Instead she heard the muffled screaming for a man she hadn't been called 'Teddy' in years, and a rather abrupt opening of the door as the littlest heifer pulled her into a hug. A rather wet hug.
"You are here!" She cried, not caring that the once girl, now woman was dripping on her. It was only water. "Ha. serial killers know better than to knock on this door!" She volleyed back, teasing the fellow brunette as she held her at arm's length to take in her appearance. "How about you backpedal and we continue this conversation inside." Laughing, she locked the door behind them as she waved back toward the guest room and bathroom.
"Mmm. Sounds like him. Left a note near the door?" Selina was well acquainted with the abode of Harvey Theodore Bullock and his habits; both good, and bad. She knew Verne sang, so she refrained from rooting out one of his many packs of cigarettes. Ushering the girl to finish up getting ready, Selina went to go sit and chat while she finished up. "You're looking good as well. Seems that Europe is doing you good!" She couldn't refrain from laughing, thinking of a few frantic phone calls a few years back. She'd fixed that with an overnighted cellphone for the then barely adult. And a few guided tips on where to eat, what not to say, and where to do the best shopping.
Running her fingers through her softly waved tresses, she scrunched up her nose. "They took a bit of getting used to, but I love them now. So much more to do. My gal cut them so I can blend them to the side if I want." Demonstrating with a flick of her fingertips she clicked her tongue, waving her hand at the towel-clad once baby Bullock. "I just can't get over how ...grown up you look! And I know Theo is probably doing his big brother shtick, but...You're looking good, Laverne. I brought over a bottle of wine, because I didn't quite know the plan for the night. And you have to come see my place!" She was excited. She'd always favored the youngest of the Bullock family, and had helped her when she could, even if she'd had to sideskirt Theo to do so. So even now she felt more at home than she normally did. And it was a fantastic feeling. "Was your flight ok? Are you tired? Is there anything you need to pick up? Feel free to use my guest room whenever you need to, hon." Selina rapid-fired questions in a matter of seconds.

“Yes! I am!” She replied in an almost sing-song voice, overjoyed that she was to be reunited with the woman she had practically adopted as a member of family. She smiled widely at her comment, and while she knew there was nothing to be afraid of, she couldn’t help but to feel a bit paranoid in a way. Though he tried to keep it from her, she was sure that her darling brother had made his fair share of enemies and she knew it was only a little amount of time before the young brunette would encounter one of those individuals. Fortunately enough today was another day for reuniting with closer friends and people of her past.
Not embarrassed at ass as she stood outside in the hall of the apartment complex with only a fluffy towel covering her, she moved back into the apartment to allow both of them inside. “Yeah, there was a note, barely legible….but a note none the less. Oh Europe and I a great friends. I loved it- Italy especially. It just felt right, you know? Like it was somewhere I was meant to be.” She was dramatic as usual, ending with a wishful sigh before collapsing on the sofa and nearly losing her towel once more. “Hell, I wouldn’t have survived the place if it were not for you though. Language barriers, I tell ya. But I now it’s like a second home. I brought you a scarf, from that stop you told me about? My luggage is arriving this weekend with my agent, and then we will most likely end up staying in a hotel.”
“Oh I know whatcha mean. Mine took a while too. I actually need to get mine trimmed up a bit while I am back.” Even though there was a non-stop smile on her face, she pretended to roll her eyes at the brunettes comment, flapping her wrist. “Ahhh stop it. That’s what everyone keeps saying. Like I left here when I was ten or something. But thank you! You look great too, then again, you always did. I was the weird looking freckled one who finally seemed to get out of my ugly ducking stage.”
“Yum! Let’s chill it so we can pop it open before Teddy gets home. I think we should all go out tonight, and I want to get a good buzz going before I have to deal with everyone act surprised that I aged while I was in Europe.” She winked playfully as she moved to put the bottle in some ice, her unique laugh ringing around the apartment. “You probably have mansion by now don’t you Miss. CEO? I can’t wait to see it, I’m sure it’s gorgeous!” Returning into the room clutching her towel, she sat back down across from the woman. “I’m great! Don’t fuss, I am here now and ready to get into a bit of trouble! What’s been going on in my absence? Catch me up on everything that big brother Teddy is hiding from me.”

Before they made it back to the bathroom, Selina had to laugh at the shifting towel. "Scoot, girlie, or you're going to be flashing me all the best parts." She winked at Laverne, still marveling at the difference between a few years ago, and now. A pang in her chest thrummed hard, harmonizing with an already growing feeling she had attributed to Charlotte. Nodding to the acknowledgement of the note, Selina let out a hearty laugh. He wasn't known for his penmanship.
"Well, I did the school circuit to many of the same places. It was the least I could do. If your brother had gotten wind of that whole situation," she waved her hand around for effect, "...he'd never have let you stay. He'd have booked a flight in minutes and gathered you back up stateside. And then you'd have missed out on the glory that is Europe and not Gotham." Another wry smile blossomed on her lips as she listened to the younger Bullock, nodding here and there. Her eyes went bright as the scarf was mentioned, her mind slipping back to her own years abroad for college. "You didn't! They're still going strong, even. My god. You're a sweet girl. Woman. Whatever!" Tugging Laverne into a warm hug she held her tightly for a long moment before releasing her again.
Refraining from rolling her eyes at the mention of the agent, she shook her head firmly at the thought of a hotel. "Eh. No hotel. You can stay here with your brother, or my place is about 10 minutes across the park. I have an extra room, and less nosy questions and hovering. Or, you can really stay at a hotel, but no doubt you've been living out of those for a while now?"
Eyeing the now grown woman, Selina nodded. "Well, to us that's what you'll always be. The baby of the group. Your sisters are married with kids now. You just got back from your big tour across the pond. But don't worry. The late-bloomers are less full of themself. But I heard only if their last name doesn't start with a 'B'..." She teased, laughing again at the suggestion.
"That sounds like a plan. I can chill the wine, and we can crack it open once your brother reappears. And if you haven't noticed, he's got a well stocked bar, and my own selection isn't too far away either."
As they settled into the couch after icing the liquor, she curled in her usual spot and laughed, her own gentle trill blending with Laverne's. "Ha, no. I do have a nice custom loft on the 11th floor, though. Great views. Close enough to work, and the good places that I don't always need a cab or have to drive. But the bigger the house, the more you have to clean it. As to secrets....hm." Tapping her lips with a finger, she rifled through what had happened. What should she tell Verne, what should Theo tell her?
"Work. Joker accident where your brother and I were injured...that was a cluster. I'm working on a joint project with Lex Luthor to redo a few high security facilities here in Gotham, and...more work." Leaving out the more, or less 'juicy' bits about her own love life, she'd have to chat with Bullock first. Some things she's flap her jaws about, others were not her secrets to tell. "And you know your brother rarely keeps secrets with that big mouth of his." And what a mouth it was.

The reunion was much anticipated, and caused a stubborn smile to remain on her freckled face. She had missed her friends and family severely, and Selina Kyle bordered on both of those classifications. The fellow brunette had gone out of the way to help her when most wouldn’t and had been adopted into the Bullock family when Laverne was very young. As far as she was concerned, Selina was basically blood and the young woman treated her as such. “I didn’t know you live so close! How convenient…” She taunted almost mischievously with a very playful tone. After the information she had received at Bets, it seemed like Selina and her brother had been making some developments in their relationship – though to Verne it was all pretty obvious from the beginning.
“Actually staying with you might be a bit better, if you don’t mind? I don’t mind the hotels at all, but I miss a good home, ya know?” Noticing Selina’s shock at how much she had grown up, Laverne couldn’t help but to flash her quickly and stick her tongue out at the dear woman. “Stop looking at me like that! You are making me feel like an alien of something.” She informed, still with a playful tone and her loud laugh bouncing off the walls. God, it was good to see her.
“Pssh. Baby of the group.” Still, she couldn’t shake the stubborn smile from her face as she began to search for her suitcase. Having just arrived the night before, she still hadn’t mananged to unpack after the series of events that had occurred back to back. “He has one now, but give me a couple of days with it and he’s going to have to restock.” The brunette had a very impressive ability to drink and without her agent breathing down her neck she was more than prepared to let loose for a few days.
Laverne waited anxiously for the secrets to start flowing, bringing her back to memories when they were young. While her older sisters were more likely to tease and taunt their younger sister, Selina took the mentoring role that they neglected. This was just like old times only now both women were older with a great deal of success under their belt. “You were there too? The hell? I didn’t know that. God- I don’t like Ted running around with all these crazies! And you don’t need to be either. At least that clown is locked up now, let him rot.” She ranted passionately. While her big brother had mentioned the event, he had failed to reassure her little sister that the Joker was not currently contained.
“Nice! Good for you! I’ve heard about Luthor, but who hasn’t? He’s a big name anywhere you go. You’ll have to introduce us. Introduce me to a few of your rich, eligible guy friends while you are at it.” Laverne winked.

"Mhm. Old promise between your brother and I. We'd stand on his balcony, and I promised that one day I'd be able to see the sunrise. He'd get the sunset. And afterall, he needs someone to make sure he doesn't get into more trouble than he can handle." She could hardly keep those words straight, as they both knew the elder Bullock attracted trouble like a moth to flame.
Nodding to Laverne she eased back in her seat. "If anything, it'd be a bit more feminine. I have a different, not better view. But I do know your brother has actually cleaned out that guest bedroom, and had it utilized a time or two. He's grown up as well, I'll have you know." Narrowing her eyes as the younger, but not by too much's exclaim, Selina toyed and teased her. Up until she was flashed. Laughing at that one she waved her hand at Laverne again. "Ok, Ok. You're an adult now. Just don't trek around Gotham doing that to prove your age. Not the best plan of attack there." But she'd have not expected anything less of the tiniest heifer of the family. To see brother and sister again would set her right as rain, considering all the shit that had been occurring in Gotham.
"Mmm. He hides the good, good stuff you know. But I've got a stock at my place, and there is a lounge in the building. And a rooftop something or other that I'm usually too busy to utlize. So we can drink that bar out of stock, and you won't have to walk far. Either up the elevator, or across the park." Winking she shook her head. All the Bullocks could drink. It'd be a rollicking good time if all four were in the same place once more. It had been years. Not that there was any reason, or circumstance in the near future for that. None. At. All.
Selina did blanch slightly when the Joker was mentioned. "Yeah. About that. It was more of a sting...that I sort of crashed...but in a good way? And he doesn't exactly hobnob with them down at the local bar, hon. It's more like he's a rather large target, considering he's PD. And I have a security firm here. Not as bad as carrying a badge, but not the easiest, either." Her cheeks flushed as she pushed her hair back from her face, a glint on her finger catching the light. Tapping a finger against her lips, a devious glint shone in her large green eyes.
"Now men. You do know Luthor is single? And rich. I could make that happen. And how about sandy blonde, tall, doctor? Or another playboy from a different city, but visiting? There are a few other cops that are single. Not as monied as those other three, but good hearts on 'em. Or ...no, not Bivins. But you'll probably meet Leo anyway. Or...what about a musician? Well, if none of those work, we can always talk to Lex, or your brother. But I think we'd have a better chance with Lex of finding you someone. That work?" Pressing a kiss to the diva's cheek she stood and walked over to the bar. A drink while the wine was chilling would do them both good. Two clean glasses were pulled, and filled with a decent amount of amber liquid and carried to where the towel-clad songbird was still perched.
Offering her a glass, Selina raised her own in toast. "Don't worry, this will happen again when he gets back. He probably ran to the store to get a few things for dinner." Breaking into a large smile she continued with the toast. "To family, friends, good liquor, and possible matchmaking."

Laverne couldn’t help but pull a face when Selina began to describe the promise, though it was merely in good fun. While some of Gotham seemed to be oblivious to the romantic relationship between the brunette and the older Bullock, Verne had been aware of it for a while now. However, her eyes grew wide in agreement and she nodded as the story came to an end. “Hell, if that isn’t the truth. Please tell me that other than this Joker nonsense he had mananged to keep himself out of any danger. I swear, trouble follows him or maybe it’s the other way around, I don’t know.”
Pulling her towel tighter after showing off her developed frame, a shiver ran through her body. The voluptuous brunette figured that it might be best to get some clothes on, especially if her brother was to return some time soon. However, she was far too excited to leave the room. “Pshh, Gotham couldn’t handle me naked.” She teased, her voice laced in confidence as she strutted toward the guest bedroom. She lingered at the doorway. “Oh, my agent wants me to make an appearance at some stuffed-shirt charity event at the museum next Tuesday. You are going, right? Better be. I need someone to sneak me drinks behind his back and approve my outfit. It’s from Paris.” She hiked her leg up in a suggestive fashion on the door frame, attempting her sexiest voice possible.
Leaving the door open of the guest bedroom where she once lived, she still called out to Selina while she changed. The brunette was slow to find her things that were still packed in the large carry-on. “Where’s the hiding place? He’s changed it since I lived here. I have been looking on and off all day.” As she listened to Selina’s description of her room, the brunette ohh’d and aww’d accordingly. “I hope that one day when I actually settle down somewhere I can get a nice place like that. But I don’t know if I can ever stay in one place for too long. I’ve only been in this apartment a couple of days and I am starting to get antsy."
She mananged to find her bra and a neutral colored pair of underwear and slipped them on. She looked at her reflection in the mirror, admiring her curves. A thin waist, wide hips and ample chest that could just barely be contained by the bra she was wearing met her gaze. As Selina liked to say; the Bullock women were ‘stacked’. The curse of curves was one that had provided to be a burden and a blessing, especially when it came to her relationships. She had grown up, but the room was bringing back a great deal of memories of when she wasn’t so matured. However, once the Joker incident was brought back up, she was pulled from her thoughts.
Hallway out of the doorway and still failing to find some proper clothes, she was obviously heated. “So you two are targets because you do good? Make the world a better place? Where the hell does this guy get off? I’ll show him a damn target.”
The brunette moved back to her open bag and her eyes settled on a thin, white crop top. As she slipped it over her head, she then began to search for a maxi skirt that might match it and provide a bit of comfort for whatever they were doing that day – even if it was just drinking. She was fine with that.
Unable to find the skirt, she sighed loudly, unsure if she had even packed it to begin with. Just as she was about to give up hope and go raid her brothers drawers for a pair of sweats, she found her skirt and started to the living room. Not bothering to slip it on until she had reunited with the woman in the main room, she was obviously extremely comfortable with Selina. “Luthor really? I mean, he’s not bad looking but I could just as easily go for a playboy or doctor. Which one do you think would do a better job of handling me?” She winked in the woman’s direction, accepting the kiss before Selina got up to get the wine.
Moving from her seat, she smoother her tight maxi skirt and returned the other end of the toast. “Cheers!” Taking a sip of her wine, she nearly choked when she looked to Selina’s hand. There it was. Her mother’s ring. It had been so long since she had laid eyes on it, she physically reached toward it as if she were a kid in a candy store. “You are actually wearing it? I mean- Ted said he gave it to ya…but it’s just….” She starred at it a little bit longer, flooded with positive memories of her mother. She remembered that ring when her mother’s hands would trace delicately across the keys on their piano. It was good to see someone else wearing it. It didn’t give the beauty of the ring justice to keep it in a box. “It looks beautiful on you.” Laverne finally finished her sentence,

In kind, Selina rolled her eyes at Verne. "Well, considering I see him at the station nearly daily. So if there isn't trouble, he's not working. That doesn't answer your question, but it is the truth." Shrugging, she didn't really know what else to say. Harvey Theodore Bullock was a man of his own means, and even if Selina didn't like what he was doing, there wasn't much she could do to stop him from working. As she watched Laverne shift in her towel, she shook her head again at the Bullock Bravado that even the youngest heifer hadn't been able to outrun. "Mmm. Good thing you're not doing a Burlesque show. For that reason, and the fact your brother would be booked for murder. Multiple times." Snickering again she waited while the other went to change.
Toying with her hair, she called out, "Oh? I can make it. Just tell me the level of fancy, and I'll pick out a dress. And an agent? Shit girl, I'd never stand for someone telling me what to wear. Then again, I don't do what you do." Wrinkling her nose, she was curious for a moment what she'd be able to do, other than ...run a business. Even that sounded a bit stuffy, until she thought further on what she really did. Which was secure people's homes...against people like herself. What a conundrum. Laughing at the attempted sexy voice, Selina called back again to the younger woman.
"Now now, if I said that, it'd be cheating, wouldn't it?" Not that he had better liquor in one place, or another, but she was aware of a secret, good stash in his nightstand drawer. And in the back of his closet...and in another drawer that housed a bottle of honey...
"Did you know he liked honey, by the way?" She asked offhandedly. "If you save your pennies, you'll probably be able to get whatever you want." Not even reacting when the half-clad woman emerged, Selina held up her hand in an attempt to calm Laverne down. "In a way, we are targets. And if someone could answer that about the Joker, he'd probably be stopped already. Just don't you get into your damn head that you can change things. I already had a friend think she could get some sense out of him, and she got hurt. So I'd rather you not go down the same path. Leave that shit to your brother." She said just as heated. One didn't escape from the Bullock household without a bit of the intensity rubbing off.
"And yes, Lex. Don't discount him just due to the lack of hair, hon. And for either of those? I think you're contemplating the wrong attribute. You want a man that can hold his ground, no matter what his occupation. If he can't do that, he's not worth your time, or you."
Once they were both settled back in again, she clinked her glass before sipping her wine, barely avoiding spitting wine over the both of them when her hand was reached for. Blushing deeply, she didn't really want to discuss the ring, but with family...those who knew the true significance of it...there was honestly no way to avoid the topic. As her hand was tipped this way and that to show off the glittering gems set delicately she bit her lip as she contemplated her words.
"Thank you. It's just...something else wearing it. I refused...and...it...earned it's way there, you know. But your mother let it to your brother, explicitly for me. We found a box, and letters, and ...yeah. He can tell the story. I...it's not really mine to tell, even though I am part of it, I guess." With her free hand she took a hearty gulp of her wine, not knowing how much that Harvey had already divulged. And especially considering all their secrets were now laid bare to boot.

“Maybe I will try to drag him back to Europe with me; I need an agent who doesn’t steal my right to eat double bacon cheeseburgers. This town isn’t good enough for him.” She insisted almost stubbornly before forcing a sigh and shaking her head. “Who am I kidding this place needs him, I am just being a little too over-protective. I just don’t want him to get hurt- ya know? Whatever....I’ll get over it, I just need some booze.” She clarified lightly before she continued to change, quickly slipping into the outfit so that she could rejoin Selina in the living room. If they went out she would just change later, for now it was just time for catching up and casual drinking.
A devious smile played on her lips at Selina’s comment. “If Ted pisses me of at all during my visit I think I might actually do that.” She posed dramatically and provocatively as she tested her best ‘announcer’ voice. “Now to the stage is Laverne Bullock, preforming her signature Martini dance….she would like to dedicate this show to her big brother, Harvey Bullock for all his love and support.” She surrendered to a fit of giggles as she sipped her drink. “I have my act, now all I need is the outfit, but I am sure you have one I can borrow.” She commented with a wink in the fellow brunette’s direction.
She adjusted the string on her sweatpants as they spoke, a small spark of a worry beginning to bloom in the back of her head. “I like my agent; he’s eased me into this whole ‘fame’ thing. I mean before I was discovered I couldn’t even list a big-name designer let alone wear one. And in case you haven’t noticed my style is a bit alternative.” She said with a smile, referring to her numerous pairings of high-waisted shorts and crop tops. “It’s black-tie, so fancy fancy. I am really going to need your help.”
Verne smirked mischievously, “Challenge accepted. Don’t you worry; I will find it before I leave.” The hidden storage of booze was like a pot of gold for the young woman, and I was only a matter of time before she would find it. Finally clothed, she poured a bit more wine into her glass after their toast, though her temper was prepared to flair again. “Well she isn’t me.” Laverne insisted stubbornly. “That clown-faced fuck can rot. He better keep you and my brother’s name out of his mouth or I will get involved.” And do what? She wasn’t quite sure, but she didn’t particularly think logically when she was heated.
While she was listening to Selina’s words, she couldn’t help but joke. “…..but the job is pretty important too.” She smiled widely “Who do you think would be the best fit then? I’m not trying to settle down per say, but I need someone to show up to events to that will make me look good and annoy my brother at the same time” She wrinkled her nose to show she was half-teasing.
Not typically one to display many vulnerable emotions, she was still somewhat choked up at the ring. Her smile twitched as she looked at it a little longer before tilting her head back up to meet Selina’s gaze. “I’ll have to ask him, I would love to read some of the letters.” Even after all these years it was difficult to talk about her mother, it had put her life on hold for several months prior to her death. The woman was the most influential person in Laverne’s life and she had been stolen from her.
Eager to change the subject, she tossed her damp hair over her shoulder and continued to run her fingers through it so that it would not knot. “So what should we do tonight?”

Snorting at the thought of Harvey ever leaving Gotham, she balanced that with keeping from spilling her wine. "He loves this city, and you know it. He wouldn't leave it unless forced, Verne." Laughing again as the smallest Bullock understood, but was still protective, she was more than glad she was on the right, rather than the wrong side of this family.
As soon as Laverne mentions getting back at Harvey, she tries to stifle more laughter. "That might get you dead, hon. And considering you've filled out more than me up top, I don't know how well something of mine would work. But we could try, you know."
Nodding to her clothing choices, she's quite aware of the 'have-to's of certain professions. "It's one thing to dress for the gig. What you wear in your own time, is your own preference. But trust me, I hate having to go 'professional' for work. Or even the standards all these events require. It does sound like your agent is keeping your best interests at heart, even if you can't have all those cheeseburgers, no? Your body is your canvas, as they say." ...or someone says, right? But it's quite similar for a performer, vocal or otherwise. Waving her hand to the younger woman, she brushed off the urgency. "When is this event again? When in doubt, we're ten minutes walk from my place, and I can get you in to a few places for something fancy fancy."
Her mouth went tight, barely noticeable at the edges as Verne went off about Joker. If she had to, she'd keep Laverne from donning a mask. There were enough people that could do the job without Verne being sucked into this world as well. It may be a bit more complicated with her career, as well. But considering how stubborn all Bullocks were, she just nodded, and declined to say a word on the topic. It'd be something better discussed with Theo.
Tapping her finger to her lower lip, Selina had to contemplate which of the single, tall, good looking men she knew would fit that criteria. "Let me make a few calls, and I should be able to narrow down a man or two." She hated to think it, but Leo almost came to mind. He was tall, and wouldn't quite annoy Harvey. Not that much, at least.
Pursing her lips, she had to give herself another healthy pour of wine before nodding to the letters. That night was still raw in her mind, compounded with the subsequent events that fell like dominoes afterward. "Well, if he ever gets home tonight, we'll ask. They're better read with family." As to what to do, she'd give Harvey another thirty minutes, or however long it took them to finish the bottle of wine before they went out.
"Well, what do you miss the most? At the very least, drunk or not, you're going to see my place," she winked.
