When Summer pushes her just a little bit more, Heather's expression shifts into a somewhat frustrated frown. Fortunately, she's aware of that reporter's instinct of Summer's and knows that she doesn't mean to cause her any upset, so she's able to remain mostly relaxed about that.
But she does know that answering the same question again won't help nearly so much as answering the implied question, so she does that instead this time. "Summer, Jon did, um, three things to me," she says, lifting her hand to count them off on her fingers, "First, he, um, kidnapped me, then he, well, drugged me, and then he, um, wouldn't let me leave. Er, that's it, really. I mean, we've both reported, um, the news, right? So, um, we both know what, well, kidnappers sometimes do to, um, people they kidnap. But, um, Jon didn't do, well, any of that. Okay? He, um, didn't take advantage of me, um, while I was drugged. I, um, know it seems weird, but, um, he didn't." Which is again only completely true from her own perspective.
Then again, even from an outsider's perspective what she said is still largely true - there were other things he did, but in the grand scheme of things they were minor. It's Penguin's fault that she can't look at people now, not Jon's. But she doesn't want to open that can of worms by mentioning it to a reporter, even if she's a friend - not so much because she's worried about the world finding out, but because Summer would have so many follow-up questions. So many! And then get into deep trouble trying to find proof of the story - nope, better to keep quiet.
And also better to keep quiet about what she remembers of the other people Jon brought home with him, though for a different reason. "Um, I'd... rather not, sorry," she answers. Mostly because, even though the cops haven't come to ask her about that yet, she knows that they will, and she only wants to have to try and remember all that once. Summer ought to be able to get the list from them afterward, so for now Heather just doesn't want to think about all that.
As Summer talks about this story blowing up, Heather can only shrug at that - that it's going to blow up is a given. Exactly when is a bigger question - she knows that they've reported that she was found alive and transferred to the asylum already, but she also knows that the press in general haven't heard about what sort of condition and state of mind she's in, and that the real blow up will happen when a majority get their hands on enough information to make a proper story about it. She figures that at some point Dr. Arkham will have to make some report on her to some court thing that the reporters can get a copy of - that'll probably be it. Luckily, she's in a secure facility and can refuse visitors if they're not cops or something - the only reason why Summer is getting the privilege of this chat is because they're friends. She nods and simply says, "Thank you." While she doesn't care much about what everyone will say about her, she does appreciate the effort Summer's going through in her behalf.
Which makes her feel doubly bad when Summer seems to take her words a bit harder than she intended, though she's not too quick to get worried about that - she's sure that Summer will understand if she explains herself better. Even if it troubles her that she has to re-explain anything - she's still used to being so much more articulate than she's been lately. "No, um, I definitely don't want, um, you to leave!" she says first, "I mean, not if you don't want to. Um, I mean, it's just that, well, you're talking so sweetly. I mean, like you talk to, um, someone at the hospital. And, um, you don't have to. You can, um, talk like we are, um, just having lunch. I mean, I probably am crazy, but, um, that doesn't men you, um, can't talk normal to me."
An understanding smile crosses her face, and she even manages a flicker of eye contact before she says, "Um, I know that a, um, part of it is that, um, this isn't exactly, um, where we have lunch..." Because, yes, she knows that the asylum is creepy and probably has Summer on edge even besides being worried about her. But it doesn't bother her so much - after the past several months, she's become very well versed in the true definition of the word 'creepy', and this asylum is nothing compared to where she's been. In fact it's better than the sewers in nearly all ways - sure there's the occasional sound of a deranged person's scream echoing down the hallway, but it's not like there wasn't ever screaming in the sewers.

Summer nodded content with Heather’s answer. Her responses were making her wonder if she had taken this approach completely wrong. There seemed to be a hostility present that made the young reporter a little uneasy, though she faked through it like she did any other interview. The redhead hadn’t even insinuated that he had well, done anything to her in that kind of manner but she could understand why she had gotten the idea that Summer had. Deciding to let it let the topic simply fizzle out, Summer knew that there had to be so much more to this story that Heather wasn’t telling her. Despite how much she wanted to push, she withheld, for now.
“No, that’s fine. I understand that completely. It’s probably not something, well, anyone would want to relive.” There would be enough harassment about that from the authorities eventually and then Summer could weasel the information out of them without forcing her friend to do something she didn’t want to. The young reporter had her sources and well – methods of getting around the police headquarters.
The redhead smiled, brushing away any of the nerves that had followed her into the room. This was becoming much easier and Summer did her best to put of the front she seemed to be forcing. At the end of the day, this was still Heather; one of her dear friends. “No, of course I don’t want to leave. Are you trying to say I am not sweet?” The feisty reporter teased with a wink. Relaxing in her chair, she put the notebook away. “Let’s just talk for a minute? Just like we are having lunch.” She repeated. Her eyes followed Heather’s around the plain room. “It’s so eerie here. I don’t see how you stand it. I want to bring a bucket of paint next time I come see you. Have they told you when they might be releasing you? Our cute waiter friend says he misses you every time I go for lunch. He keeps asking me for your number, I told him you were traveling.”
Summer stood up, taking in the limited view of the room. There were no windows and one, thick metal door. She felt trapped just visiting, and couldn’t even imagine if she stayed. Suddenly, a new series of ideas and questions popped into her head. “What’s it like to stay here?” She asked over her shoulder, hoping that her impulsive question wasn’t too off-putting. Still she feared that another round of apologies would only annoy her dear friend. “Is it really scheduled? I mean clearly they are tight on security. I thought they were going to strip search me before I could even step foot in the place.”

Nodding as Summer says that she understands, Heather looks somewhat relieved. Though she didn't think that Summer would do it to a friend in these circumstances, Summer could have tried pushing harder on that point too and Heather's much happier not having to argue about that. Because as much as she can shrug off and justify the vast majority of anything Jon does, as appalling as anyone else would see it, dead people are just... a completely different category. Especially since none of them died peacefully. Some of them died very unpeacefully actually - better to not think about those when she doesn't have to.
She can't help but smile, first in relief that Summer is staying and then in amusement over Summer's joking objection to what she said. "Of course, you're not sweet, um, who'd watch your show if, um, you were always that nice?" she teases back, glad that the mood is shifting to something somewhat more relaxed now.
As Summer comments on how eerie the place is, Heather shrugs and comments, "Um, you get used to it." She decides to skip explaining how much better it was than Jon's last hideout, but it really, really is. After that the asylum's actually kind of nice. "Um, I don't know when, um, they'll let me out. Probably, um, not for a long time," she says, though she says that easily, completely unbothered by that idea. Partly because she's completely sure that Jon's going to get them out of here long before anything like that would come up. And she supposes that after that she might get the lifetime membership, if they can prove that she cooperated. But she doesn't really mind that either, actually, as long as she ends up wherever Jon is.
As Summer gets up to look around the room, Heather decides to remain seated. This room really is very plain, since it's used for therapy with some of the asylum's worst patients - the ones who might try to escape or kill their therapist and aren't inexperienced at doing both things. The table with a chair on either side, all bolted to the floor, are the only furnishings. One metal door to the outside, and the only other break in the wall is a large pane of one-way glass. And the room is, if anything, a little too well-lit by the fluorescent lighting. "Um, it gets normal fast," Heather replies to the question, "But, um, it's not so bad if, you know, they don't think you're, um, dangerous. My cell is, um, comfy, actually. Gets kind of, um, boring though. But I get, um, rec time with the, um, other patients everyday. Er, a lot of them are, um, weird but nice to me."

Summer couldn’t help but laugh, her girlish giggle bouncing off of the padded walls. The girl certainly had a point, people didn’t watch her show to see some pretty little redhead chat about which bakery sold the best cupcakes. They tuned in for the raw and exposing information that she had to deliver to her viewers rather than leaving the somewhat disturbing information on hold. It was her job to relay the information that is constantly trying to be silenced by the money of Gotham, despite how many people she spites in the process. “Very true, but I’m the top watched and rated station in Gotham for a reason.” She winked.
“I don’t see how. It’s like no one ever smiles here. And the lighting is just horrible, I feel like I am at a moody dentist’s office…and the ceilings are so low…I seriously hate this feeling.” Summer shuddered and spun around after her brief inspection of the walls, her smile morphing into an exaggerated pout. “Really? That's too long,” though it made Summer want to go through the effort of attempting to snoop through Heather’s file on her way out. Little did she know that obtaining any information on Heather would be incredibly difficult unless she wanted to leave in a pair of handcuffs. “Well, when you get out your first day is dedicated to me, okay?” With her signature, charming smile. “We can go get out hair and nails done or something, do a bit of wine-tasting – just take over the town like we used too. Sound good? Maybe give that cute waiter a visit for old times’ sake.”
Summer honestly couldn’t see how anyone could get used to this. She was used to endless ceilings and plush, decorative furniture. The young socialite was spoiled by her newfound lifestyle as a local celebrity being confined in a place similar to Arkham would drive her insane in a matter of hours. Summer’s interest sparked when she mentioned that she had met some of the other inmates. “Really? Well, it’s good that you have some kind of interaction…have you met anyone that I might know of?”

Heather can only shrug and say that, "Well, I guess you just, um, get used to what you, er, have to. I can't leave." Which kind of explains a lot of how she's able to hang out with Jon, actually - she got used to him. In fact, she even enjoys being around him. Well, mostly. Still, she can't help but smile a bit at Summer's ideas about what they can do 'when she gets out', even though the very idea is a bit of a fantasy. When she gets out she'll be too busy hiding with Jon wherever Jon wants to be... But she says, "Er, okay, you've got a deal."
She herself was never quite as rich as Summer has gotten, though perhaps she would be close by now if Jon hadn't interrupted her life. She'd been living a comfortable upper middle class existance on her own paycheck in her early twenties - and that wasn't bad at all, especially since she'd heard talk about raises in her future. Still, the only thing she really misses from her old lifestyle is Bobby, her hamster. All the comfortable furnishings and such were nice, yes, but that seems like such a small thing to give up for Jon. She doesn't need nice things.
As Summer's next question causes her to think more specifically about the other patients she's met, Heather can't help but shift slightly in her seat in discomfort. Yes, it's nice to socialize, but on the other hand, a lot of them also make her very nervous. Still, there isn't much hesitation in her voice when she says, "Oh, well, I met Poison Ivy. She's, um, pretty nice actually. Er, except she really, um, doesn't like Jon..." Which kinds of puts a damper on things because Heather doesn't particularly care to hear about how much the woman doesn't like Jon. "Er, she gets along, um, better with VerMillion, um, than me, though," she explains, forgetting that she hasn't told Summer about her other personality, so that may end up being a bit of a confusing statement. These things happen when you get too relaxed and stop being careful about what you say.

Summer hadn’t even though to indulge in the world that Heather was currently living it. Just having a friend on the inside of Arkham opened a huge door and a variety of different paths that she could take in regards to different stores. The asylum was an isolated and very private building, it had taken her years, signatures, numerous body searches and reputation in order to actual enter the building and not leave being carried out by security. Arkham was practically its own little world with an unknown amount of chaos that raged within its walls. Perhaps Heather was her key to peeking on this inside.
“Is it weird, I have always wanted to go undercover here. Dress in those bland outfits and have my identity unknown to the staff so they threat me the same as everyone else. I feel as though it would make for some amazing discoveries…but I don’t know if I can mentally handle all of that and I would be afraid that I get stuck in here forever or something.” She ranted mindlessly, finding her seat once more in front of Heather, eager for some answers.
Her face lit up as the name escaped her lips. “Poison Ivy? Seriously! I covered her arrest! I have followed her for years; she was my first story when I was an intern. They wouldn’t let me speak to her though. I just can’t imagine her nice with a name like that, but I mean, I suppose that isn’t her real name of course.” The fearless redhead was privileged enough to sit back and watch the plant princess’s chaos unfold from the comfy of her plush studio, making the fellow redhead comparable to an infamous celebrity in Summer’s mind.
It was the next thing; however, that Heather said that really grabbed her curiosity. “Wait- what? Vermillion? Heather…what are you talking about?” Eyebrow raised, she pursed her lips for a moment, overall perplexed at the statement.

As Summer speaks of going undercover, Heather can mostly just shrug at that. "Well, I don't think it's that, um, interesting in here," she replies, "Er, it's kinda like, um, being grounded, I guess. Except, um, there's therapy too." Or at least that's how she'd describe it. She's sure that it's not as bad as prison or something, but she's stuck in her room most of the day, is severely limited on the number of people she's allowed to interact with, and she's certainly not free to go. And it's really boring - so yes, like being grounded.
She can't help but smile slightly at Summer's expected enthusiam at the name that she dropped. Though it was kind of lost on her at the time, given the situation, yes she supposes that it was cool to meet the rogue. "Um, yeah, my first day in the, um, rec room was kinda, um, scary and she, um, helped me calm down," she explains. Well, at least until she started really pushing her about Jon, but then VerMillion took care of that.
And speaking of VerMillion, the instant that Summer questions her about her words, Heather realizes that she shouldn't have said that. "Ummmmm....." she tries to say, clearly flustered now. But she doesn't know what to say now. Does she tell? And if she doesn't, what does she stay instead? Wiggling a little in her seat in discomfort, she quietly mutters to herself, "No, I don't need your help." Back at normal volume, she repeats, "Ummmmm...." Seriously, though, what does she say now?

“Really? I think it’s fascinating. To think that one building can hold so many interesting characters. I mean, I wouldn’t want to meet half of them in public but I doubt there is much they could do to you in here with security breathing down everyone neck.” Summer couldn’t help but chuckle at Heather’s comment in regards to being grounded. Seeing as she was never determined to be confined to Arkham, Summer never would truly understand the events that went on within it, though her outlandish daydreams didn’t seem to be very accurate compare to Heather’s reality.
“What do they usually have you do in therapy? “ Asking purely out of sheer curiosity, Summer had set down the pen and note pad a while ago with no intention of picking it back up. She simply wanted to have a conversation with the friend she had missed out on the past several weeks. “They have a rec room here? Huh, I guess the blueprints that I have are not as accurate as I thought.” Shrugging off the vague research she had started to engage in recently about the origins of the asylum, she turned her attention back to Heather.
“Heather….who are you talking to?” She asked as the redhead muttered something to herself. “Who’s help, please, I am just curious….who is VerMillion.” It was obvious that she didn’t want to talk about it, but this was something she decided to inquire. As her friend struggled for an answer, the young reporter bit her lower lip somewhat nervously as she waited for a reply. “Heather, you can totally tell me. I’m not going to say anything.” Assuming maybe it was a secret, she wondered if perhaps she had developed some kind of imaginary friend to cope with her former location or even met someone in the Asylum who she was ashamed of befriending.

Heather nods quickly when Summer mentions the security. "Oh, um, yeah and anyone who, um, gets in a fight gets, um, sent to solitary, um, for awhile, so, um, there isn't much fighting," she explains, her eyes drifting to the table between them and staying there for awhile, "And, um, the ones who aren't, um, stopped by that - like, well, Jon - um, they don't get rec time. Er, so it's pretty safe, um, even if they're, you know, crazy serial killers. Er, if you don't upset them." Way safer than meeting them in public! Though she's pretty sure that some wouldn't have a problem doing her a lot of damage even before the guards could stop them if something set them off.
When Summer asks her about therapy, Heather's face noticeably pales for a moment and her eyes fall to the floor. "Er, I don't want to, um, talk about that," she says very quickly, obviously quite bothered by it. No, the less that she thinks about therapy sessions, the better! In fact she's very quick to move on from that topic. "Oh, the, um, rec room has a TV, um, and board games, puzzles, um, stuff like that. All the, um, patients here get time, um, in the rec room except, you know, if they can't play nice," she explains further. Having no idea what blueprints Summer could have looked at, she can't tell her why they'd be wrong. In fact, she thinks that she'd be just as lost as anyone if she wandered down a hallway that they normally don't take her down. In fact, she's not quite sure how to get to her cell from this room - this room is new to her.
When Summer continues to question what she said, Heather looks a bit anxious, her breath becoming a little stressed. Since VerMillion was her radio name, she'd hoped that Summer would ignore her slip-up, but then again she did refer to VerMillion as if she was a different person, so... Shifting uncomfortably in her seat, Heather struggles for another few moments on what to do or say. It's not so much that she doesn't want Summer to know, especially if she's not going to tell anyone, but how does one explain VerMillion. "Um, Summer, my mind kind of, um, broke..." she starts to try, though after saying that much, she quickly adds, "But it wasn't, um, Jon's fault. No, not him." Because she's pretty sure that would be the automatic assumption.

While the news of few fights was reassuring considering that one of her dear friends was currently held within the Asylum walls, it was also very anticlimactic to the young reporter. She had this idealization of how Arkham was in her head that was significantly off track and a bit of an exaggeration. Still, this realistic view on how the asylum truly functioned was highly informative to the redhead. Seeing as they often refused her on arrival unless she had a number of credible excuses, Summer had only entered Arkham with scheduled and arranged interviews and the help of her prized press pass. “Have you ever been sent to solitary? I mean, I doubt it” She asked with a smile. “Just curius.” As always.
Being around such infamous individuals would be like a field day for the young reporter, as long as they were respectively contained; seeing as most of her encounters didn’t seem to end well otherwise. Summer felt as though things were really starting to fall back into their proper places. Their friendship had quickly rekindled, though the redhead was somewhat caught off guard when she didn’t want to discuss therapy. Fully understanding, she quickly rushed to speak. “Oh, no problem. We don’t have too.” She stated, trying to act as casual as possible about it. Glad that Heather was quick to resolve the slight awkwardness by changing the topic, she made a face. “God, that sounds like prison. Remind me to make double the care package I bring next time when I come see you.”
“I mean, you are VerMillion on the show….but, I mean…you just said it like it was more than just an alias.” She said almost timidly, her curiosity only growing. The silence is killer, but eventually comes to an awkward end as Heather opens her mouth to speak once more. Summer nodded sympathetically, doing everything she could to understand even though she couldn’t imagine what Heather was going through. “Well that’s the best part about broke things, they can be fixed right?” She attempted with a smile, only to have the pleasing feature leave her face at Heather’s next comment. “You’ve got to stop defending him! Heather, he’s a monster!” outfit: click here!

As much as the general public may speculate about the inner happenings of the asylum where all these costumed criminals are all housed within the same facility, the reality is far less exciting than the imagination would lead one to believe. It doesn't help that any time that's not the case it makes the papers, leading one to believe that stuff like that happens all the time. But no - in fact the place is most often quite boring. "Er, no, you think I want, um, to fight anyone?" she replies, not unexpectedly. She is, basically, a 'good patient'. And actually gets a lot of privileges because of that.
A look of relief crosses Heather's face and she nods as Summer is quick to drop the subject of therapy. And she even smiles when a doubled care package is mentioned. "Er, yeah, but my room is, um, a lot nicer than, um, the rec room. I have, um, music, my own TV, um, an iPad, but the, um, wifi is filtered, um, notebooks, pictures, snacks, um, a normal bed with blankets..." she lists off. For many of the patients a part of the appeal of the rec room is that it has things that they're not allowed to have in their rooms. But for Heather the only real advantage of the place is that she's not alone like she is in her cell.
"Maybe..." is all that Heather can say about broke things being fixed. From what she's heard, having more than one person in your head is kind of a rare condition, so it's only understood to a degree, and fixing it is a very long process that may or may not be entirely successful. Oh, and it will likely get worse before it gets better, to add to the good news.
But she's not thinking of her condition for long before Summer's words cause her to visibly cringe. "Er, he's not a monster!" she abruptly protests, suddenly quite defensive, "Er, not to me he's not! Er, he's the one who, um, saved me from the place, um, where my mind broke. And, um, he's the one who took, um, care of me after that, um, even though I was, um, not myself. And he, um, fixed my leg too. So, um, VerMillion is not, um, his fault. Not at all! Er, don't tell me he's a, um, monster! You don't, um, even know him!" Feeling like she's tripping over her words and still unable to look Summer in the face, Heather is nevertheless unable to hear Jon being talked like at anymore.
And having said all that, she takes a heavy breath, rather overexcited now. But, trying to settle herself as quickly as possible she mutters to herself, "I'm fine, I'm fine - I can handle this, okay? Just gotta breathe..."

Summer was overall relieved to know that her friend was well-occupied during her stay. Knowing that they were going to let her keep all of the belongings that the young reporter had brought her as a source of entertainment relieved Summer in a way. Knowing that within the hour she would be escorted back down the narrow hallways and see her way outside of the Asylum, she wouldn’t feel as guilty leaving Heather knowing that she had snacks and television. For some reason she had simply pictured her friend sitting alone in a completely empty room, though clearly Summer was one to exaggerate – she was a reporter after all.
Summer literally wanted to slam her head into the desk out of pure annoyance. How could she seriously still think otherwise after everything he had put him though. She was suddenly so defensive toward the person who was there for her, when she should have been toward the person that put her there in the first place. Shaking her head with a look of pure disbelief, Summer’s mouth fell open as if she was going to say something else, but she refrained momentarily. After all, her friend’s doctors had advised her of this potential attitude.
Rather than insisting back that she was wrong, she bit her tongue – literally. “Your mind broke? Heather, what does that even mean? What happened?” She insisted, trying to get the part of the story that the redhead was hiding. How is VerMillion not his fault, this isn’t making any since!” Summer pushed her bangs out of her face as she leaned closer across the table, making a move to soothe her distraught friend and apologize when she hears Heather mutter once again. It’s at that moment when she realizes that Heather isn’t trying to talk to Summer, but herself. Her eyes grow wide and she swallows for a moment. “Oh, my god. Heather..Are you VerMillion? I mean, she’s…you’re…” She’s not sure how to phrase her question, but she knows that there was something much deeper than what was showing on the surface.

The open look of disbelief on Summer's face does little to encourage Heather to continue to try to explain. She was worried about this - everyone's just going to assume that it was Jon. Because Jon's a monster and so naturally anyone near him who's developed a major health issue was his fault, right? Only that's not right. Well, it would be a lie to say that Jon didn't have his contribution, since those were his toxins that made it happen. Then again, he's not the one who dosed her with either of them, and she'd like to think that he wouldn't have done so.
The only thing that really prompts her to try to continue to explain is the fact that Summer nearly has it already, and if she refuses to clarify then she's probably going to make a bunch of wrong assumptions, so it's better for her to just know. Still, that it's become necessary now makes her feel uncomfortable, and she shudders and wraps her arms around herself before she speaks again.
"Er, I mean that my mind, um, broke into two pieces. Um, and the other one, um, decided that she's, um, VerMillion. You know, like my old name on, um, the radio show," she explains, hastening to repeat that, "Er, but that's not Jon's fault, um, he saved me from the, um, guy who did it." She rubs her arm with her hand in nervousness as she talks, almost but not quite managing to lift her eyes to Summer's face as she hopes that her friend will believe her unbelievable story.

Summer tried to hide the look of shock that played on her pretty features, shaking her head suddenly as a million and one thoughts raced through her clouded mind. It wasn’t making since to her, but she was starting to see that Heather’s stay in the asylum was more than a little case of post-traumatic stress like she had plainly assumed. The last thing she wants to do is convince Heather that she thinks she is anything less of the woman that she meet two years ago when she had only recently graduated from college and knew the red-head as VerMillion. Well- a different Vermillion. At that time, it had only been what Summer would have considered a stage name and now it had taken on a whole new meaning.
“I remember your radio name, VerMillion. So she’s now a part of you.” Summer stated, not exactly asking but so that she could get herself on the same page as Heather. She wasn’t trying to be condescending or brash; instead her voice was soft as usual as she attempted to get into the mind of the woman before her, one of the many strategies that she had often used in her profession. It wasn’t until the next thing that she said did Summer sit up in her chair a bit more, “Wait, what do you mean? So- if Jon didn’t do it, who did?”
She smiled reassuringly at Heather, reaching across the table to offer her hand to let her know that she does believe her. While the girl was talking in riddles, she knew that the same Heather she had known for all these years was still there, the radio host had informed her of that this entire time. “So the Vermillion half, does she act any differently than you do? “

"Er, not quite the person, um, I was on the, um, radio but close. Er, closer than me," Heather tries to clarify. She's always been quieter in her private life, but on the radio she'd been loud, energetic, opinionated, and even quite a bit obnoxious - but that was only a role she'd played to get more people to pay attention to her show. The VerMillion in her head isn't the same as the one that had been on the radio, but there's certainly quite a few similarities. Maybe closer to some halfway point? But then, VerMillion is also uniquely VerMillion as well - it's difficult to easily sum up the relation.
The question that Summer asks next is almost a relief - a sign that perhaps Summer will stop blaming Jon if she knows the truth. "It, um, was the Penguin who, um, broke my mind like this. Er, I can't prove it though," she says, quite bitterly, as she takes Summer's reassuring hand. The man has somehow been able to keep up the facade of having reformed since his earlier, more criminal days but the experience has taught Heather better. In fact, most people seem to believe that it's true, even though the real truth is that he's simply never been caught doing anything illegal again.
But, eager to provide at least some evidence of the connection for Summer, she smiles as she comments, "Er, I heard that Jon and, um, Starfire destroyed, um, his nightclub though." Though she has no idea what the connection between that and the rest of the events surrounding it are. She's not even sure if that happened before or after Jon rescued her. In fact, she didn't even hear about that whole thing until recently - but apparently Jon kidnapped the superhero and did something to her to put her under his control and then used her to demolish the Iceberg Lounge for some reason. But though she doesn't know the full details, she's already of the opinion that it couldn't have happened to a better person.
Summer's last question gets a very quick and emphatic nod before she explains, "Very! Er, very different - because, um, she's really, really, um, like me but she can't, um, feel fear at all. It's, um, like she's stuck on the, um, brave toxin stuff always. Er, but she remembers, um, everything from the, um, time before we split, um, so she thinks a lot, um, the same way I do. Er, except she's never, um, scared of anything. Er, that makes a really, um, big difference when, um, she decides things." Which is a very severe understatement, actually - something that Heather herself keeps learning more and more.
