There are two kinds of people on this site: Those who have AIM and those who don't. And those of us who have AIM would like the people who do not have it to get it.
Why?
Well, it makes communication between players extremely easy. Unless you and the person you want to talk to happen to be on the site at the same time and are both willing to sit here refreshing the page repeatedly, it can take days sending PMs back and forth to plot out something complicated. The ChatBox is quicker, but it's also very public and it's hard to tell who is around. AIM does not have those problems.
And a whole bunch of us already have it. Just think of the sheer amount of ease that you could have in getting threads, coming up with new ideas, and even in getting to know your fellow roleplayers a little. It's like adding another dimension to the fun of this forum.
That said, it's certainly not required and you're definitely free to totally disregard this if you want to. But I highly, highly recommend it to anyone on the forum. Highly. Especially to all you people who have been here forever and still don't have it... *stares at you*
And please vote in the poll, everyone! It will make it so everyone can see if you're in the AIM group and if our attempts to get you to join us will work or not. Because we can totally respect people who would rather keep the forum in the forum. (Or we'll try, at least...)

No, and I'm not interested. -
I've just been talked into it, give me a second... -
