Lisa drove down to Arkham, the ride was gloomy and the clouds were always dark as lightning lit up the sky and crashing thunder rolled and boiled her mood. The black Elantra was going so fast the trees seemed like distant flowers in the breeze of speed of her car. Lisa had been to Arkham, but she wanted to talk to the two most recognized people there; Joan Leland and Jeremiah Arkham. She had met Joan but she hadn't met Jeremiah, she hoped the man acted better than Matthew Tiffany.
The breeze's shook the trees as her car stopped at the Arkham gate, she flashed her card, as the guard opened the gate from a few feet away. The driveway was cold and dimly lit, almost without heat and rubber fur. She parked at the side, opened her umbrella and walked to the main entrance. The rain started fast then slowed, then picked up again. Her hair was soaked as soon as she opened the door. She waved her hair as the water left the light red hair.
She opened her umbrella with satisfaction and walked to the main entrance, knocking and showing the guards her identification card as she walked in. The golden doors closed with a thud. It was quiet and calm inside as opposed to outside. Orderlies, nurses, doctors, armed guards, and police men were around regularly inspecting visitors. Lisa walked over to the man in the booth, the lighting was down because it was somewhat late.
" I'm ADA Lisa Novak, I am visiting Arkham under Joan Leland and Jeremiah Arkham, can you alert them?" The man didn't move he kept writing down information and schedules. Lisa could wait but she chose not too. "I need you to alert them" She said in a brooding manor that was of the importance. The man looked up and straightened his tie, "Right away Ms. Novak" He dialed two numbers and pressed the send button, the phone was very close to his mouth as if he was speaking to it instead of into it. He put the phone down after nodding. Lisa sat down on the blatent furniture. The place had changed since she last came. Everything seemed older and broken.

Dr. Arkham sat eagerly awaiting news of the patient he'd just had a session with. The man had tried to swallow his stapler... it didn't work, but he did get a few metalic staples down before Jeremiah and the other orderlies could get it away from him.
Finally, someone knocked. However, the news wasn't about the patient, but that he had a guest. He remembered that Miss Novak was comming, but had lost the time in the slurr of the day.
The man stepped outside his office and gestured for the lady to follow him. "Ah, hello Ms. Novak. To what do we owe the pleasure of a visit from the ADA?" He inquired rather gentley.

Lisa heard footsteps, which were the loudest thing in the erie facility. She assumed it was Dr. Arkham, the man was skinny with ginger hair, and a subtle smile. "Hello doctor, I came because I am charging a man who had many records here at Arkham. I would like to look for it and find the interview tapes conducting by yourself and doctor Leland.''
Lisa didn't asylums. The doctors were trigger happy, and the guards were corrupt. The inmates were dangerously ill, with no medicine but regular visits to electrocutions and bad food. The Cells in New York City, were metal to say the least, other than that they didn't do anything. People who are insane, should have help. And if they don't want it then they are a ticking time bomb waiting to explode and rock the world. Lisa took a psychology and medical class in high school and college, nothing interesting but it got her past the exam and one case about a hospital.
Lisa studied the doctor checking his clothes, shoes, suit, belt. Absorbing the information like a sponge absorbing water.

Of course, our records are at your disposal. May I assist you in your search?" He inquired, stepping up out from where he'd been and gesturing for her to accompany him to the records room.
(OOC; Maybe to get Joan involved, we can't find the record in the files and she'd had it this whole time?)

(ooc: I like that idea. So long as Joan does get involved XD) Lisa wasn't telling Dr. Arkham the whole truth she was at Arkham because she wanted to see her ex-fiance's room. "Dr. Arkham, I would specifically like to see Chris Olliver's records and a tour of his confinement area and his personal equipment before he left." The words seemed daunting it had been three years since she spoke to him. He was put into Arkham for abuse issues for not taking medication. Lisa never visited, then she was told he was released for good behavior. She never saw him again, though the next year and a half police found a body in the curb on a road late at night, with Lisa's card in his pocket. She remembered getting the call, she was devasted and cried the night and day. She was expecting her emotions to get the better of her as she could feel sadness and anger approaching as they walked to the records room.
The records room was one with three computers, organized files, research papers, and a large diagnol cabinet with three locks for the tapes. She stared at it like the file cabinet was the key to the mystery behind her fiancee. The room felt refreshing almost too refreshing. If it wasn't for the purple paint, the room would have looked like the rest of the old building. She waited and stood by hoping the doctor would be able to find the file. And where was Dr. Leland? After all she had hoped she would be here. Having the old man didn't exactly make her feel comfortable.

"If I remember correctly, that was a case under Dr. Leland's control." He replied, opening the proper drawer and flipping through the files therein. He looked rather puzzled, searching and researching the spot where it should be. He couldn't extinguish a grunt of disatisfaction toward his staff and tore at other drawers, snapping through names in search of the desired records. He raised his foot to kick the cabinet, but thought better of such a childish act in front of a visitor.
"I do apologize for the inconvienience." He muttered. "I'll find the file. Perhaps Dr. Leland still has it in her collection. That would be the next most logical place to check. In the meantime, I can show you his articles and the room he stayed in if you'd like?"

Dr Leland had been delayed with another patient, the session going on longer than planned and without being in her office it was a little while longer before the front desk had managed to get hold of her to let her know the ADA was in the building. She's asked which patient was being charged and files that were wanted when she'd been informed the previous day of Lisa's plan to visit and had planned to have everything in order to meet Lisa when she arrived but sadly when she did arrive the neatly ordered file was ready on Joan's desk and Joan was not.
It was a rush to get from the session to her office and then call back to the front desk to find out where Lisa and Jeremiah had gone before she could finally hurry to the records room to finally meet up with them.
She stopped hurrying a few steps down the hallway so she could at least arrive with some appearance of control and organisation "Good afternoon Miss Novak, I apologise for not meeting you at the front desk, I was in a session at the time" she might be reasonably relaxed when they met at randomly at the bar but it's clear her more professional side is currently in control. She offers a polite nod to Jeremiah on the way into the room as well "Hello Dr. Arkham" before looking back to Lisa again "I believe you were looking for a file on a man you're currently charging? I have it all in order here" she gestures to the file in her hand.
(OOC: So very sorry for not getting in here sooner! Life was just arg this week x.x)

Now the file couldn't be found, great. Lisa heard footsteps and turned around just in time to see Dr. Leland. Lisa's face mentally threw a party, but her deameanor was determined, "Nice to see you again, Doctor. I wanted to see Chris Olliver's file and his room with the personal belongings, his story is somewhat related to the person I'm charging." That was half bull, and half the truth something most people called a lie. Except that it wasn't that simple; or was it?
Lisa needed to know why her Chris snapped and how he was living, what he did, and the impact of her leaving him meant. She wasn't in soap opera mode where she would just lay everything out on the table, no she was a lawyer who kept her cards.
Lisa also noticed that Leland had the file in her hand. Now if she was an intern right now she would have already grabbed it or peered at it from a distance, but those days, while good, have passed. "May I see the file?" said Lisa who then slightly stretched her hand. Files were usually plain and dull. Part of Lisa was waiting to break into tears because that part was nervious of the file. She knew Chris very well, even better than himself. No matter what the file says sometimes connections like Leland may have established with Chris never break the love ones; That thought sounded like a hallmark card.

Joan was pretty happy to see a friendly face as well, particularly with Dr. Arkham in the room. Much like Lisa though she doesn't really show it, keeping her calm and professional neutral expression instead. She raised her eyebrows faintly at the woman's request as she handed over the file "Ah, well Chris Olliver was a patient of mine some time ago. He hadn't been taking his medication and was admitted until we could sort that out. He was here for a few months until he began to show enough improvement to be released" she gestured towards the door and started to lead on out of the room as she talked "There was a period where we kept in contact with Mr. Olliver to monitor his readjustment back into society but everything seemed to be going well. Anyway, my point. His personal belongings were naturally returned to him when he was released but I don't believe the room has been used again yet, he wasn't one of our more dangerous patients so I can still show it to you and there should be a list of items within the file that were taken from him when he arrived and any items that were provided during his stay. Everything but those items deemed unsuitable such as knives, guns, drugs, stolen goods, explosives and anything related to particular obsession will be returned to a patient when they're released. If an item was confiscated it will be noted on the list. The room is this way...Can I ask what the relation to the person you're charging is and why you need to see the room?" he glances back at Lisa but there's also a look sent to Jeremiah for silent approval to let the ADA poke around.

Jeremiah nodded approvingly, keeping the administrative mask intact. He appreciated the fact that she'd asked the ADA why she needed to know all these things, especially considering he was present to find out as well. He was unsure whether or not Dr. Leland would report back to him that she'd released patient information if there was a chance that it was unwarranted. He also approved of the brief summary of action taken to aid in Mr. Oliver's recovery. Not overly detailed but not vague enough to raise more questions. She really had been doing this a while.

Lisa had to say it in proffesional terms even though she didn't want to say it. "A man was charged with the same paranoia with rape that Chris Olliver had. Chris olliver was also my faincee, That's all I'm willing to say for the time being." Lisa looked and opened the door to his room. It was a room with a bed, with white soft cloth around it. Some drawers, and burn marks on the walls. She strolled around reading part of the file, but then giving it back to Dr. Leland. She looked at the walls, her demeanor changed from curious to sad and angry.
She looked down with her eyes, sittind down. Looking through the drawers. Of course nothing is in there, but that just made it hurt. A tear fell from her face. She didn't cry, though she wasn't feeling well, though if she wanted closure she would have to do this. She then turned around and looked at the window. "I never sent a letter, never a card, never an email, or money or anything. This was my fault. I should have been more supportive."

"well perhaps that's so," Dr. Arkham began rather gruffly. "but most people don't consider those things when they send someone here. Even someone they care for deeply. It's often because they don't want to think of what goes on behind those iron gates and so they disassociate themselves with the person they committed for the time in which they need to be cured. It's quite a commonality really."
He stepped into the room and examined the burn marks on the walls. "In fact, the majority of patients who're here for chronic problems may very well die here. And no one will ever notice they've gone"

If Lisa weren't the ADA Joan would have suspected other motives more and requested a great deal more paperwork to look over before releasing the file. The possibility that Lisa's visit is anything but professional comes as a surprise to the doctor though before her lips thin, showing her displeasure for the ulterior motive.
She accepted the file back from Lisa and remains in the doorway as they examined the room "I fail to see what the case has to do with Mr. Olliver's living conditions while he was here" of course she understands why Lisa wants to see the room, she just doesn't like that she appeared to be using the case to do it.
Her expression softened a little as Lisa sat down and appeared upset but she remained silent as Dr. Arkham responded, she was treading carefully around her boss since their last argument.
