Her laugh lit up the air on the sunny Gotham Rooftops. She liked it, mostly because the view was amazing. And not to mention that the root of her apartment building was amazing. They have roof access and it was where her friendly neighbors set up a nice out hangout. Their was a grill, shade, sun seats, plants and flowers around everywhere and where Patience went to think. And with the added beauty of the warm sun, it was paradise. So in white pants and a white button up shirt, she walked along the edge of the building with her phone at her ear. She laughed again, the first of many in her joe-blow normal life that she wanted so much. And hopefully it was a life that she could keep for a while. At least until her boss's wife kills her, but what are the chances of that happening twice.
It was Sally. The funny and bright graphics producer back in New York and Patience's best friend. She might have left the Big Apple but she didn't leave Sally who was now engaged to her man. Wedding in October and Patience couldn't wait, and finally they said their goodbyes. ''Hmm, okay. Bye Sal, I love you Ms Robinson''. In ways she missed New York. Her job, her friends and not to mention Tom. But after BeaLine and Laurel and her years kicking butt and taking what she wanted she needed to get back to reality. This was the best thing, and she was helping people. Especially when Tom recommended her to the GDP as a sketch artist. He must have thought it would keep Patience close to the crime, but that part of her was gone now. And she wanted to keep it gone. So hanging up her cell phone she smiled as she put it in her pocket and turned to the scenery. She has said it once she will say it again, it was beautiful.
Passing some daisies she sniffed a wiff of the beautiful flowers. Rich and sweet, she caught all the scent and then looked around. Parading rooftops was behind her, but parading a floral paradise was different. Moving over she then walked passed the flowers and the hoped onto the tables of flowers. Walking around them she then did and easy handspring not touching the flowers and landing onto the ground. Turning the chick propelled herself through the air and onto another table. It was fun, the kind of free feeling that she hadn't had in a very long time. And it made her feel better.
Once on the table, she looked to the shelter. It was a metal kozibo and instantly she charged across the long table and pounced. Landing on the side of the roof, she gallopsed up the roof to the top. Once their she then slid down the other side of the roof. It was quick speed and when she reached the end of the roof she leapted off. Diving high in the air she landed on the next building. She landed in crouch and standing up straight she took in a breath. Fresh air and freedom, just what the doctor ordered.
