Reading the dried Gotham paper, Victor noticed the news in Metropolis, an article by the aroggant and seemingly obsessive reporter, Lois Lane. Freeze's eyes widened, when he saw the title "Lies that killed Nora Fries". Victor started reading the article, which was a special edition one. Written were accountsof Boyle, Wayne, Commisioner Gordon, Clark Kent, and among other eye witness accounts into Nora Fries life. Including her family, who were upset at Victor. The whole article seemed to blame Victor for Nora's condition. Burning vendetta's and frozen coffee, made Freeze's temptation to visit the young reporter and writer a reality.
As the article went on, Victor Fries research was mentioned, paraphrased of course. Analyzed by som bafoon who couldn't cross reference geometry and chemisty for their lives. Idiots, writing articles like all writers. They find something to write about and twist it to give their opinion, speaking like they had a diploma in that category when in fact they were far from the surreal fascination.
Freeze now determined to visit the young reporter, and give her Victor's perspective on her work. Harming her wasn't necessary, not yet at least. But if she opened her mouth and blammed, oh she would be coming back to Gotham in an ice cube. With the cold determination freeze got his suit and sent an email to Cobblepot who provided a private jet, flown by Freeze's pilot Bobby. Billy and Jim would be accompaning freeze. He had also asked his two men who were capable of even subduing Superman to come with him. There names were Carl and Ricky, and they shared dry humor as Freeze did.
Freeze entered the plane with everyone else, his gun already on the table, he sat down in the comfortable chair. The tv was on the science channel, a favorite of Freeze who learned and dissaproved people's theories on all things science. But what was more of a treat, was that they were doing Cryogenics, Freeze watched with cold comfort as they talked about their imaginative theories that were wrong and more wrong, yet some were close. The door closed and the plan began moving, some light shaking, and then they were in the air. Justice would be done, as soon as Metropolis was in view.

Lois sat in her apartment's kitchen reading through the morning's paper. The article that currently had her eyes moving rapidly across the pages was one she had written herself. No matter how many times she read through it, she couldn't believe that a man, this Dr. Fries, would put his wife through so much. Yes, his intentions had been good at the start but he had become a monster in his quest to save her. It was all like some huge tragic love story and Lois had been intrigued from the moment she had first heard it.
"It's depressing to think that even good intentions can lead to villany." She said to herself. Lois shook her head as she sipped her coffee and flipped through the rest of the Daily Planet. Clark had left a few minutes ago, heading out to the office a little earlier to get a jump start on the new story her was covering. Mornings were not her favorite time of day, so she liked to take her sweet time getting ready. If she rushed through things it only made her irritable, a state you did not want to catch Lois Lane in. Having read through the entire paper, Lois set it on the table and pushed herself up out of the chair. After refilling her coffee cup, Lois turned down the hall towards the bedroom so she could finish getting ready.
....
About thirty minutes later, Lois was stepping out onto the busy streets of Metropolis. Summer had set over the bustling city and the heat was just starting to creep into the morning. She was glad she had chosen to wear that short sleeved, yellow blouse and light grey pencil skirt. Her heels clicked against the pavement as she moved quickly through the crowds, reading through her PDA, checking to see what the day had in store for her. A few appointments and an interview were all she had on her plate that day, definitely not as busy as it could have been. But that could always change on a dime. The Daily Planet soon came into view, as it was only a couple of blocks from her apartment. Lois pushed open the heavey double doors of the building. The lobby was always busy, day and night, it never failed. There seemed to be a never ending stream of people constantly entering and leaving the place. She made her way to the elevator and up to her floor. When the doors opened and revealed her floor, Lois wasn't at all surprised to see reporters running around, blurry-eyed and sleep deprived. The obession to finish the story, that drive and ambition, was what drove them all. Only the best had it.
Lois entered her office and closed out the rest of the floor and it's incessant noise. She tossed her briefcase into her desk and then took a seat behind it. There was already a stack of notes she had to look over as well as a couple of phone calls she had to return. Lois sighed and began looking over the notes she had been taking on her newest story, a piece about Superman's achievements and rescues. It would go in the next special edition of the Planet, the papers way of thanking the hero.

Within moments, Clark had woken up from his sleep in his apartment. He rubbed is eyes stroking them with one of his forearms. Yawning, He jumped up realizing that, It was already daytime just by turning his head looking outside. "I have to hurry for work!" He exclaimed as he rushed out of bed moving towards his closet searching for his usually work clothes that he work in as always. As soon as he got his outfit on, he reached over on the drawer for his glasses that he would needed and the next thing he was walking out of his room closing the door exiting out of the building.
Walking down the street of Metropolis with his spiffy looking suit, with his glasses, briefcase and of course his hat. He didn't have time to grab a cup of coffee as he noticed he was late for work. Clark did notice that today was sunny but hot. Enjoying it as matter in fact embracing it as he closed his eyes getting lost until he made impact with the door of Daily Planet. Eyes opened fast as he looked around hoping he didn't want to look silly brushing up against it just from walking. He quickly opened the door making his way. He came to the stairs instead of using an elevator.
As he made it to his office as he saw Jimmy Olsen walking towards him with an wide open newspaper giving it to him while greeting him. Clark returned with a smile and wave before accepting the paper. "Thanks Jimmy. I'll talk to you later once I'm done." With that, Clark went to his desk setting down his briefcase on the side, Tossing his newspaper on his desk before doing anything else. He wouldn't mind talking more to Jimmy but, He could tell he would have some catching up to do just from how late he was coming in.
He took a look and realized that Lois was the author of the headline. "A special Edition newspaper? No wonder Jimmy wanted to talk to me earlier." He continued to look seeing the title. He firmly lean his body remembering that Nora who was Victor Fries wife. He felt sorry for what had happened to her. She looked young to be gone. Clark knew something wasn't right with with Victor. He does give him credit for being one of the smartest cryogenics scientists but, It made him a bit out of hand for going far on his progress involving his wife.
It was just chilling enough for that man to like the cold surrounding him. As a normal human being could die from the temperature or get frostbite. Luckily, He lived in Gotham or he would suffer quite a bit in Metropolis with the heat. He stood up locking his door facing his back to it as he was against it. He was viewing the window. "Just a look around Metropolis before I work wouldn't hurt none." He whispered to himself as he looked behind him once more as he stretched his suit revealing diamond shaped red colored S with blue in the background.

The plane landed discretly on the open track. A van was waiting, all of the transportation a coutesy of Cobblepot who was now in need of favors from Freeze. Freeze walked out of the white, dormant, and modern jet, only to feel a warm sensation as his suit automatically adjusted to the hot temperatures. Billy, the trusted hacker and erand boy, walked behind Freeze, almost jogging with plans and equations. James opened the door as Freeze got into the nice car, along with Billy, and the trusted henchmen. Only the best went on stealth missions. He would need Billy to shut off the security cameras as well as locking down the building only for a an hour or so. Ricky and Carl would join Freeze if Superman would show up. The men on the plane closed the doors and waited for the call that the plane would be ready.
How dare that damned reporter write something that didn't concern her criticism! How dare she yap with her abnoxious and little mouth that she knew all the answers. Freeze was not happy, but it was easy to conceal that with his emotionless face. Billy, began opened his custom built laptop and began hacking into the Newspaper security systems with relatively ease. The car was close as traffic soon hit all the intersections, cursing, and honking were among the many things that boomed in the bustling supercity. "Billy, I need you to implement a realtively strong virus that will temporarily shut down the electrical, security, and defense systems withing the building." Billy with his quick hands began typing with ease and speed. "That won't be a problem, I'm almost into the main frame, once there I'll have almost all access to the building system, once in I'll be able to implement the virus that I created on the plane that will keep the police and hopefully superman away for a bit" Freeze looked at Billy with a decieving interest, "Good, but I don't play my hand in luck, only realismBilly began typing, as he smiled and drank his coffee. " How much time do you need with the reporter?" Freeze knew this was a key question with a clear answer, being the scientific genius that he was, he had already calculated, through physics of course how long that systems would last.
"Fourty five minutes, maybe thirty if she is calm, which I doubt she will be" Billy with his light green eyes began typing again, the traffic wasn't moving as much as Victor would like. James, Carl, and Ricky were talking quietly with each other. Then, James turned to Freeze, "Boss, what if Superman does arrive... Carl and Ricky are great indeed, but your going to need more than a couple of alien weapons experts, and two six packs" Freeze subtly smiled, pressing on the rest pad, the car was black which was good for things in secret. Withing seconds, a small suitcase was leveled to his hand position. Opening the case, withing was a jade green substance, sparkling with evil and defiance. Freeze picked up the jade green crystal, and held it as if he was experimenting with it. []"This gentlemen, is Kryptonite. The only weakness to Superman's power. I have Lex Luthor to thank for this. If he so attempts to get close to me or Lois, the power of the crystal will absorb and negate his powers, making him less than me. If enough force was absorbed the crystal would kill him"" After that we drug him and give him to Luthor as a insurance, and Luthor gives me seven million, along with a small amount of the crystal for experimenting"/color] Freeze put the object back in the suitcase, as it vanished in the dark.
Billy had just finished hacking into the systems security, when the van stopped at the back entrance. Billy continued typing, the smell of cheap coffee invading his mouth. "Done" said the talented Billy, as he pressed the enter button. His computer was made of bulletproof kevlar, and best anti hack ware software. Freeze noticed a grimey window on the lower levels, and saw the lights dim, flicker, then go out. Freeze didn't want mistakes so he commented, "Are the security systems on?" Billy responded by typing again, and turning the screen towards Freeze who looked with curiousity. The map showed all the systems, there were many, fifteen to be exact. Luckily, Billy's virus was strong enough to take twelve of them down; including cameras, temperature, elevators, telephones, computers, printing machines, pagers, cell phones, Emergency and rescue systems. It would be full house if not for the panic, that ensued.
Freeze gave the driver some money, as Ricky pulled the case handing it to Victor. Carl, James, and Billy waited for orders. Freeze's gun, gripped by his right hand was ready for anything. He blasted the emergency door, which froze within a few seconds of the blue and white beam of ice. The door shattered like glass after tapping it with a finger. Freeze walked through the door, a red number "seven six seven seven" imprinted on the wall. Freeze calmly looked at the signs, "Billy, what floor are we on?Billy precisely typed, much of his job was typing, Freeze wasn't sure why he helped in crime, his family must have abandoned him or something of that nature. "It's the fifth floor, out of five levels. I'm looking at the building records, and the people who work there-Ah Lois Lane! She's on the second level, that's where the editing and writing offices are. If we take the stairs, and the south entrance we should meet her, the security office, is on the third level, boss" Freeze knew what had to happen.
The flight up the stairs, gave Victor another workout, each step a deeper plunge into the article and Nora itself. Victor was tired of people commenting and forcing the views onto his life. Once reaching the floor, Freeze pushed the door open. He then turned to James, his left hand man "James, head to the Security office with Billy, kill the guards if you have to, and protect Billy" Billy shot a fiery look at Freeze, "I don't need protecting, boss. I brought the gun and I was trained by Carl" Freeze admired the boy "I'll need someone to close your blind-side, just do it" Carl handed James and Billy a small headset, so that they could communicate with each other. Freeze knowing he wouldn't be able to use it in his ear, had one installed in his neck plate, which was very strong. Freeze pressed a wrist button and the com was on. Freeze talked normally and in a rush "Head to the security office with Billy. Carl, Ricky, and I will head to Ms. Lane for the talk. Remember forty five minutes, then we are gone''. Each of them agreed and we're on there seperate ways. James had an assault rifle and a pistol, and Billy had a pistol. Ricky and Carl had assault rifles and two pistols each. Freeze had vendetta.
Freeze's tempting boots clashed with the metal as the door to the second floor opened. Ricky and Carl made sure the area was clear of guards, as they walked calmly. Billy said her office was twenty-three. As Freeze turned the corner of twenty four, he saw what appeared to be a woman in the dark, either angry, or distressed. Freeze carried the suitcase and his gun. Putting down his suitcase at the brown door, Freeze knocked.

Lois flipped through her notes, high-lighting lines she would definitely use in the article. The tedious part of her job was her least favorite part. Pouring over notes, editing, and proofing were not what she wanted to be spending her time doing. Lois longed to be out in the streets, chasing down the latest stories and hunting down interesting people. Going over pages and pages of notes was not what she wanted to be doing. The young reporter usually enticed Clark into helping her with this part and by help she means get him to do it for her. But he was working on his own piece and she really didn't have anything else to do. Villans had all but vanished for the last couple weeks, so Metropolis had been eerily quiet. While she was glad that Superman wasn't in any danger at the moment, a calm city meant no exciting stories for Lois.
This also meant she was stuck behind her large, wooden desk. At times like this, Perry would usually tire of seeing his star reporter, who also happened to be his biggest pain in the neck, fidgit around the office and would send her to interview someone or give her more notes to go over. Lois sat back in her chair and sighed heavily. She grabbed her coffee cup before spinning her chair around to face the huge window that allowed her to have an amazing view of the city she loved. Her hazel eyes watched as people walked through the streets. They resembled ants from her vantage point. She sipped at her coffee and the grabbed her phone, giving in to the temptation to rope Clark into helping her with her notes. But as she clicked the phone to life, it flashed a couple times and then just died. Frustrated, Lois flung the device back into her purse. She rolled her eyes at the window and then flipped the switch that closed the blinds.
As she turned her chair back around to return to her notes, the lights flickered for a moment and then went out, just as her phone had. "Fantastic." she muttered under her breath. Her office was plunged into darkness. The blinds, which were on the same grid as her lights, remained closed. There was a slight amount of light slipping in underneath them but not enough to continue work by. She stood up out of her chair and had been about to find out what was going one, when a knock stopped her mid-step. She stared at the door for a moment. Anyone who worked at the Daily Planet would usually just barge right in. Whoever this was, they did not work here and she did not know them. Lois straightend her blouse and skirt before speaking. "Please, come in." She couldn't help but allow a puzzled look to settle over her face as she leaned against her desk, waiting for the unexpected visitor to enter her dark office.

Clark soon exited to the outside of his office flowing as he looked back once more at his office to make sure that no one was gonna know. He noticed that the city was operating normally as usual. He give a smirk as it pleased him while he fly off looking down finding trouble that he can possibly find. He flew up looking at the Daily Planet's globe on top of the building smiling at it. It showed that Clark was proud of what he did on a daily basis.
It was one busy day in Metropolis that is. With cars such as taxis picking up and dropping people off as if they were on a tight schedule. He swoosh down grabbing a child who walking into the street to get to the other side who was about to get hit by a bus. Clark landed on the sidewalk where the child was going to. He pat him on the head smiling. "Be careful now."With those only words, He flew off back into the sky with the kid waving his arm fast with crowd applauding Superman.
Clark stopped at a random building looking down as he folded up his arms. He still thinking what has made this city so calm down from the villains is it was that they were so busy fighting over for Gotham? Clark thought that could be the reason so. He wondered about going back to Gotham once more. Somehow, He was lucky enough to get out Gentleman's Ghost portal last time he was there. But, Can't remember how he got out. After that little thought, He decided it was time to head back to his office before anyone knows he was gone.
Clark burst on some speed as he approached is window lifting it up slowly not using too much strength then he needed and went in. He left it open as he started to gather his clothes putting them back on him as fit. He grabbed his glasses that was laying on his desk and put them back on as well. He grunt his throat as he was tiding up his tie. He was just in time when he heard a knocking at Lois door. He wonder who it was but maybe Jimmy wanting to talk about her special on the newspaper. He looked away from his door and at his papers on his desk not realizing who was at her door.

The woman is smaller and probably dim witted too. Carl lit a match as Freeze's eyes lit up in the dark room. "Greetings Ms. Lane" Freeze pointed his gun straight at her as he moved forward. "Strange, how the man who you write an article about comes back to put you in the arctic circle. Revenge works that way, my dear." Carl and Ricky were able to use their lighters to restore some of the light, bringing candles. Freeze pointed his gun at the windows and pulled the trigger as a white and blue beam of energy smashed into the windows and blinds freezing the cheap material to make sure no one saw them. Ricky and Carl took out their weapons and gave Victor the case which he promptly put next to him as he sat down. "Getting cold Ms. Lane?" Freeze knew that she would try something dumb, so without thought he froze part of her desk. Ricky laughed then stopped when Carl hit him in the arm, they grabbed her phone and smashed it.
Lois lane was notorious for running her mouth into situations that didn't concern her, luckily for her she would be getting a lesson in good manners. He wasn't doing this just for himself he was doing it for Nora, bad press was one thing but the woman blamed Nora's condition for Victor. Nora was light in the dark, without Nora Freeze would rot in the cold world in solitude.
Ricky and Carl checked the perimeter in the office and the other offices with James and Billy providing surveillance with the cameras and the systems. Freeze's com went off as Billy spoke into it, "Boss, it seems that we aren't alone one of my detectors detected someone entering a few levels down from your position. What do you want to do about it?" Freeze couldn't have ignorant heroes disturbing his discussion with the woman. He spoke in a command and a knife like voice, "Make sure he doesn't get to my level withing ten minutes. Slow him down, if it is superman you tell me and lock down the second floor elevators." Ricky took out a cigarrette and was about to light it when Freeze froze the small thing, "Smoke in your lungs doesn't relieve stress Ricky, it increases death" Ricky with his eyes wide open dropped the thing as it shattered into two large pieces. Carl cleaned his heavy rifle.
