After had spending the night at Kory’s hotel, Dick had stayed a bit later than he had hoped. And had traveled back to the batcave instead of his place. Nightwing during the day was going to be an easier sighting when drive his bike back to his hide out. It was easier going to the batcave than any where else. He was still thankful for being on Bruce’s good side at that time. When they often got into their little feuds, it was a lot harder to be around so he was most often to keep his distance.
Dick had raced over there to get another change of clothes as well as to get a car to barrow from Bruce. He knew he wasn’t in, but if he was going to New York, it was best to travel by car when going with someone else. Dick had agreed to take Kory to a fair, for the fun of it. She had always loved going to those fairs very year. It was the least he could do after all she had gone through.
After getting to the manor, Dick was fortunate enoguh to still have a change of clothes that were always waiting for him when needed after patrolling as Nightwing. As he had gotten to the batcave as Nigthwing, it was no surprise that no one was around at that time. Alfred though had probably picked up on that someone was in the batcave by now.
And after Dick had gotten changed into a pair of jeans and a short sleeve t-shirt, that was black, he no doubt found Alfred on his way out checking on everything. And Alfred had spotted the tear in the suit and offer to repair it. Who was Dick to turn down the chance to not have to try and fix it himself while he was there.
He did however tell Alfred what he was up to by means of barrowing one of Bruce’s cars and going to New York. Alfred suggested one of the lesser used vehicle since it could use the ride to keep it from just sitting in the large garaged.
After Dick fled the batcave he went upstairs to the den and decided it was time to make the call...He’d call Barbara and hopefully get an answer. His stomach was unsettled over this all. But he swallowed and decided to take the bullet and make the call.
Dick pulled out the touch phone and looked at the contacts list. He scrolled down to Barbara Gordon’s number. He was hesitant at first, but then pressed call. The phone ringing. Ringing like there was five minute wait in between the next tone.
Almost holding his breath as he waited. His heart pounding harder as he waited. And then the line was answered.
”Barbara, I’m glad you picked up,” he spoke. ”I wasn’t going to...I know where you were last night! How could you do this to me,” Barbara had spoken. Her words filled with anger and sadness to them. ”Babs, slow down. It’s not what you think,” Dick replied. ”It’s Barbara. And I think I know exactly what it is. You not wanting to be pestered while staying the night in someone else’s bed,” she snapped. ”Barbara, it wasn’t like what you think it was. We didn’t...I mean you know Kory is a friend of mine,” Dick tried to defend himself. ”I know you’re history with her, Dick Grayson. And I hardly call spending all night and showering there in the morning, nothing,” her words harsh and cold. ”Barbara, please. Just listen to me,” Dick cut in. ”Tell me, Dick. What happened? Did you kiss her? Was she in your arms? Don’t lie to me, Grayson,” Barbara spoke. Dick remained silent on the other end. He couldn’t lie to Barbara. Things were going down hill and fast. He just wanted to try and mix things. But his guilt took over. Though there was no regret for some reason. ”I knew it! How could you Dick?! After all we’ve been through. I hope you happy,” Barbara said. Her tone shaky as she spoke. Obviously holding back the want to cry. ”Barbara, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean for this to happen,” Dick said. ”Well it did and there’s no turning back now Grayson,” Barbara retorted. ”This isn’t fully my fault. You’re the one who had been avoiding me lately. Ever since Jimmy’s disappearance. We’ve done nothing but argue over every little thing. And then you attack Jason on the subject. I understand you are upset over the matter, but you’ve been doing nothing but pushing me,” Dick replied. ”How dare you try and turn the blame. After the many times you pushed me away when you needed help. I never once went behind your back and stayed in someone else’s bed. I don’t even want to know what went on. I think it’s time you and I just take a break from each other for a long while,” Barbara said harshly. ”Barbara, wait,” Dick said. ”Good-bye Dick. I hope your happy with your choice,” and with that she hung up before he could get another word.
The phone line went silent, and Dick stood there looking t his phone. What had justhappened? He hardly got the chance to explain. Barbara had just hounded him. She didn’t even gave him a chance to try and fix it.
Dick was in shock. And the conversation had probably heard in the house with the yelling that went on on the phone. Dick gripped his phone tight and was about to throw it across the room in anger over Barbara not listen. But instead he grabbed a set of keys and hoped into a car. And raced away from Wayne manor.
He didn’t stop at his place. He didn’t want to think about it for the time. He just wanted to get out of there and clear his head. Kory would help him with that. Kory and him could do just that and more. There was a rage of anger within him over all this. He should have seen this coming. He should have done more. But now it was too late. It was all over.
And he needed to move on. But it was going to be hard. Barbara meant everything to him. And they had just hit a rough spot. But obviously he couldn’t hold out until then.
Dick didn’t know which was worse, his mind getting at him or the realization of everything. He didn’t care. He didn’t want to deal with it. He’d leave it alone and move on. Somehow...
Dick drove the car. Racing through the city not caring. Only wanting to move on and out run what had happened. Within no time, he found himself at Kory’s hotel. He pulled into the same parking garaged as last night.
He got out of the car, locking it and left for the elevator. He got in and made it to Kory’s floor. And soon found himself knocking on the door. Not bothering to fall her. His heart racing. His eyes on the brink of anger and almost what might be sorrow. But he wouldn’t let it out. That wasn’t him. He’d deal with it his own way.
But compared to earlier, he wasn’t relaxed as much as he was now going to go it care free. It didn’t matter any more. He had no one. He was alone. And he wanted to forget. He stood waiting for Kory to answer.

There had been some momentarily spent at the door. Once Dick Grayson had left her room that morning. Closing the door was seemingly hard to do. Yet exciting that she knew he was coming back to take her to New York. This somewhat a little ironic when they very first started dating. Dick took her and showed her Gotham. Now it's almost the other way around. As Kory's hand lingered on the door for only some passing moment. She didn't fear. Kory knew he would return. Return as soon as he could. As her smile grew. Felt the bubbling in her chest. That something to really bring her back into the circle of the world, was finally happening. She could feel that bit more connected. To possibly even start that thing they call, anew. With her buzzed up energy. Kory had returned to the table. To finish what she could of the breakfast. She was a little too buzzed. To really eat a lot. Just enough. With her legs crossed. As she would await for this day to really jet off. Was it possible for it to never end? As her red locks coiled around her finger. Her hand then came to her cheek to ponder. A little unsure. With that call. Babs? What did that mean? Something. It was something. Maybe Kory had tried to ignore it, but that sure why she was holding back a little last night. Wondering exactly what Dick wanted. Unable to stop herself from smiling. The recall how his lips touched hers and the way he pulled her in. Kory was sure. She knew emotions. He loved her, still. It was really that question. Was it enough? For her yes, but for him that was harder to decide.
Luckily going to New York, will freshen up a lot of things. Even Dick seemingly needed a break. Maybe not so much from this city, but maybe from himself. Kory amusingly thought. He was so much more than he would ever understand, at times. As ate a little to quickly and gathered up the tray. Returned to the door. To place it outside. Giving a gentle wave of her orange fingers to a family of four. They quickly turned, but the children smiled. Kory wasn't overly concerned. As she returned inside with her bare legs and all. Now. Outfit? Not that Kory cared greatly for clothes, but the putting something together. She learnt on Earth could be quite fun. Now what should she wear? Pondering as she took the space to her bedroom. Her hands kindly gathered the few items left out for Dick and put them back where they came from. Lingering her eyes upon a couple of suits she had tucked in secretly. With her gentle movements. Caused one of the Robin suits to fall out. Very. Very happily to pick it up. Feeling the fabric back between her fingers. Was quite a sensation. Every time. It still smelt like him. Feeling the gentle tear stroll down her cheek. As found herself falling down. To sit on the bed. With the fabric clutched in her hands. They were not sad tears by any means. Mostly joy. To be returning to really where it all started. To be open. To accept that so much had really changed while she was gone. With this small token of his suit. Kory could truly remember. These fond memories. She never wished to lose. She really was so excited for this carnival. To live and breathe New York once again. Most importantly to really spend time with Dick. If nothing else, be friendly… As she kept hold lowering the suit upon her lap. Even if he was no longer Robin. He was the same man. As her eyes scanned his photo next to her bed. With a little joyful grin. Kory wiped her tear. Cuddled the suit just that wee bit. Before putting it back into a safe spot. As her eyes looked at the cluttered closet. She really needed an apartment. If not the one in New York. Which. As she half played with her foot. There was more in that apartment…
Turning away from the suits. Kory then regained her desire for her own clothes. Now. It was newly spring. So it was going to be a bit more warm. It was also New York and a carnival. So not overly fancy. Something cute and casual. As Dick would say. Fiddling between her dresses. Something short. Would work. Finally pulling out something that was in the purple tones. Maybe a little blue. It had spring like designs. Not heavy. It hinged loosely around the waist. Had a casual neckline. Thin straps. Soft flowing fabric. It was a short dress. That would show of her long and lean muscled legs. It be perfect. As Kory laid it out upon the bed. There was still time to have a good shower. Kory spent a good few minutes. Having a nice shower. To make sure she was fresh and ready for this night on the town. Or well day, but she was sure it would defiantly go through the night. After exiting. Kory took some time to tame her red fiery hair. To tousle fall down with some nice waves through it. As her hands ran through to jet it around a little. Very very simple make-up. To keep it simple. As Kory made her way back to her bed. Unwrapping the towel as she went from her body. To be left rather bare. As she took the polish for her nails with her. Finding her bed once again and slipped on her dress. A couple of bracelets. A necklace. She had sunglasses at the ready. With her purse. Her Starfire outfit. Just incase. Some simple slip on flats. As to keep to the casual and didn't need the extra height today. As Kory took her things. Headed to the living area. As she would wait for his call. Or any kind of signal. As Kory crashed upon the couch. As she casually painted her nails. With her general light purple almost pink colour of choice. Surprisingly it went with a lot of things. Spending the next few minutes with her blowing her fingers try. Kory quite liked the earth nail polish. A cute invention. It was protective, plus decorative. *Knock, Knock, Knock* came at her door. Kory smiled. He was maybe early, but Kory was ready. Very much ready. As Kory almost leaped over the couch. To reach the door. Although with no sound. There could be a chance it wasn't… No, it was him. Kory beamed with iridescent light as he appeared as opened the door.
"Your early... I'm glad, because I don't think I could have waited any longer… You look handsome, Dick."
Kory was at first a little too over joyed. Just the fact Dick was here. Taking her out. To a carnival in New York. In such a buzz. As her eyes ran over him a little quickly. Jeans and T-shirt. Still utterly charming. Kory thought. The darkness somehow just made his face pop. As Kory motioned closer to greet him. With a friendly and sweet kiss upon his cheek. Though half falling short. As Kory fell into a moment from her joy. Her eyes finally catching his. The slight unease. Something in his eyes. Something happened, maybe? Kory thought as she motioned warily. Motioning almost uneasy herself.
"Did something happen, Dick? We can go inside for a moment, if you'd like."
Asking kindly. Though in the way he looked. She wasn't entirely sure he would tell her. Not everything at least. Kory at least offered for a quiet moment if he needed before they drove. Incase he felt uneasy to drive. It was hard to know what exactly he was feeling and why, but Kory knew it was something. Kory was half sure then perhaps the drive would help clear his mind. If he wished to tell her. He defiantly could there, but Kory wouldn't press it for now. Today wasn't so much about pressure. It was to enjoy the carnival together. To enjoy New York once again and that was what it would remain to be, for now. To hopefully find Dick truly smiling again, would just be the icing. Maybe the cherry. Maybe both. As Kory fought with herself over which he was. She knew a certain machine at the carnival good for unleashing the anger… Her eyes looked to his sweetly with an added soft smile, hopefully comfort him if it could help.

Dick looked up to meet with Kory's own green excited eyes. He wish he could be excited like her at that time. At times it seemed Kory was almost carefree as far as someone like her could be. But most of times it was just how she was. The small things made her excited. She treasure the little moments in life. And earth was always so fascinating to her.
Dick admired Kory. Nothing helped her back. No one did. She wasn't afraid to her herself. And she made sure her opinion was heard, even if it wasn't always the best thing at times. But it was Kory.
Dick gave a slight smile to her compliment and said,"Thanks."
He wasn't too surprised when she had leaned in to kiss him lightly on the cheek. And he did not mind it at all. Though he noticed she helped back from anything more.
And then he noticed her catching a hold of what was causing him to be tension and her question. "No it's fine, we can just head out," Dick replied. "I'd rather get a head start before traffic picks up."
He spoke a bit rushed at first. But then found a suitable excuse for now. But he knew and had a feeling he'd probably end up telling her sooner than later. But for now, he needed to just try to calm down.

There came that rush. A nice gentle buzz. As the moment her green eyes saw his own looking upon her. There was still so much mystery. So much hidden, but yet there was also a lot there. Kory knew. Someone she was excited. Not only to see, AGAIN! But ti spend the day with. Leaving Gotham for a moment and create some new memories in a place. They had for sometime. Called home. A place she had missed. Though not as much as she had missed him. Maybe he was New York. Kory couldn't decide. Maybe he was Earth. One thing she did know. He was her friend. Her greatest friend and every moment spend. Brought joy to her heart. Felt her cheeks run a deeper colour as she smiled. As she watched him almost size her up, but willingly gave her a smile. Part of a smile. The carnival will help. Kory was sure. Was it not like the Circus? She wondered. As her eyes bounced off him softly. Was it not one of his fondest memories before she met him? How the carnival was bright and colourful. Reminded her of the circus, but she was maybe sure. Dick could tell. Having had lived it. As she recalled his smooth moves last night, he was maybe reliving it in a sweet way. No one had a heart like him and Kory could never replace it.
"You are welcome."
As Kory lent her bubbly self in for a kiss to his cheek. Despite the lack of pure warmth in his eyes. His cheek did feel warm. As her red hair came to also brush it. Coil for a moment with his own. Happy to enjoy a friendly moment. As she retreated. Her cheeks were still a little coloured. She was happy he was here. That he was coming with her. It had been almost a year, maybe it was more. She couldn't really keep up with how time moved. When she had spent some friendly time with anyone. The one friend she enjoyed the most, was him. He was the one that knew her best and who she trusted the most. Right now. Kory could tell the difference in his eyes than how they looked this morning. Of course she didn't know what exactly, she could pick up the emotional change. Kory smiled softly. As Dick spoke. Her eyes softened in the middle, as he rushed his words. Kory knew there was something else, but he really didn't want to talk about it. Not now at least. As Kory couldn't help give him a hint of concern or more that she very much cared look. Kory didn't feel the need to press him. With his words. Kory was sure now. He needed this maybe more than he had realised before. Whatever it was. They could forget about it. Move on from it together. Hopefully get stuck on a Ferris wheel. Or perhaps one of the dancing horses that go in a circle. She was defiantly wanting to see some fireworks tonight. That light up the sky. Oh yes. As her face brightened up. For herself and now mostly for him. She still excited as ever. If not more so.
"Sure thing, Dick! Let's go!"
Kory spoke bubbly and sweetly. Giving him a warm smile, before turning a little on her heels. So best lock the door behind her. As she check her bag over her shoulder. She had everything and turned the key. Pulling free her sunglasses as she turned. Covering her green eyes as she did. Looking rather the gift of spring. She smiled. She was ready to greet the world. With one of the best company no money could ever buy. As motioned to walk with Dick. So they could best get the lift soon and be on the road, before even Wally could blink. Oh, if only he could come. Maybe run into Gar. Raven, maybe, but Kory was certainly hopeful... As Kory of course stayed close to Dick. Not on top of him. If she did, they'd never make it to the lift. There was very little that was going to let down Kory's mood.
"You must be really excited. Containing it so well. Oh, I think I see a smile... So Bruce lent you the car, I take it? How is he? Dick, we can wait to the car to tell me. But, what happened with Jason, exactly? Not unless it is too painful, I just didn't know he was missing... Is all. I didn't realise how out of the loop I was."
Kory gently. Very gently teased his mood. She knew after all some times. Dick hid his excitement. Although she could recall when he showed, but a lot of times he seemed almost shy to. Generally Kory could catch it in his eyes. Perhaps this was one of the times, he hid really well. As Kory curiously accused of him with an amused look. If anything, make him a little happy. As playfully as she walked with him to the lift. Poked his cheek very gently as she joked joyfully about see his smile. As of course she smiled sweetly. Really encouraging him and that it was ok to. She wasn't in a rush to go telling everybody. Asking about Bruce. As they went along. Kory mightn't trust Bruce greatly, defiantly not as much as she trusted Dick, but she still liked him and respected him. In ways she sure did care. In which she recalled something Dick had mentioned earlier. About Jason missing. Kory asked. Enquiring. Not to rise anything out, Dick didn't want risen, but Kory just didn't know entirely what happened. Kory didn't know Jason extremely well by any means, but he was close with the Titans at a given time and a really sweet kid. From what she can remember. Kory simply wanted to know a little more, having realised she hadn't known really anything about it. As Kory sweetly looked at Dick. With a soft smile as she spoke of being out of the loop. She was happy to be back and soon. Kory knew she would find her place. If she hadn't already. For right now. She was comfortable. As found her finger press for the lift.

Dick watched her patiently. His body seeming at ease over everything. But his mind was anything but. Thoughts racing through it. It was a little out of focus. Not really all there so to speak. But enough that he could keep up with what was going on around him.
He was silent as she moved. He followed her lead. His hands buried deep in his pocket of his jeans at the time. Just kind of lost in away as he walked. He felt almost aimless and alertness of his ways some what missing at the time.
He wanted to forget. He wanted to get away. But how did you get away from your own mind? It tormented him so. Even more than possible recent trauma he had been through. Which was staying something even for him. This was something that troubled him. Dick couldn't turn his back on a friendship that he had work to build for so long. A friendship that had meant the world to him.
Yet there he stood. Alone. Lost the one person he had truly cared about for some time. He was paying the price. A heavy one at that. But he knew what he had done was because of what had been lacking in the past few months that he and Barbara had been fights. Nothing had been the same. And the one time she decided to turn back and try and get a hold of him, he had already turned on her, unfaithful.
Something that would probably remain unforgiven for some time. Though he did not blame her for that. What he had done was done. And part of him did not regret it. They had both abused their time together toward the end of it and they were both paying the price for the negligence of their behavior. Barbara taking the harder hit of it since he had been the one to turn on her first. But sooner or later the ice would have broken between the two. He had just been the one to take it there.
His attention was brought back by the way she had poked at him. He slightly shock his head. Almost to clear his clouded mind. "Oh yeah," he said giving a slight smile at the corner of his lips. but it faded quickly.
He listened to her ask her questions as then they waited for the elevator. Dick was silent again for the time. The sound of the elevator coming up could be heard in the silence. Dick just was trying to shake it. He was a free man again. Free to do as he please and be with whom ever he wanted. Something he had lost the right to went tying himself down for so long.
Though he didn't seem to have a problem of finding his way out of a situation. Even though Barbara had ended it, it hurt. He had cared for her. But he knew he had broken her trust. But he could dwell on it long. He needed to move on.
For Dick, it was always like him to rush through things and get away from the pain. To bottle it up. Forget about it and never look back. He'd remember, but he wouldn't hold it over his head to feel the guilt all the time. It just wasn't him. He just wanted to move on. Sure it had only happened that morning. But his mind had been on someone else last night. And now he found himself with her again. For the whole day now. No string attached. No worries except for the current break up and the pain he had caused someone else.
"He'll hardly know it's missing," Dick replied as the elevator rang at their floor level. He stepped in as soon as the door opened. He stood at the back of it, leaning on the safety rail within as he waited for her.
"Bruce has been doing fine. Busy as usual with his work," Dick replied as he watched the door to the elevator box close. And the motion of the elevator started downward.
Dick looked at her for the next question. His eyes darkened a bit on the subject of Jason. "I spent one night in charge and sending him out on his own and he takes the chance to run. If Bruce had been there, it wouldn't have happened. We still haven't tracked him down. That's all I want to say on the subject," Dick replied. He didn't want to linger on it. He didn't mean to snap at Kory, but the subject was touchy within the Bat-family. And Jason and Dick had been at odds for some time. He was truly worried about the pest. To the point it worried him very much that the greatest detective was having trouble locating the missing child.
Though Jason was trained well. Though lacked in some points. But still the kid knew how to hide when he didn't want to be found. Must have been something else beside the training that had taught him that.
As the elevator moved, he rode in silence for a bit. Not wanting to hear anything. But after a few moments or so. His expression softened a bit. "I'm sorry Kory, I have no right to be acting this way to you of all people," Dick replied. He was sincere about his apology. He knew he shouldn't get so stressed and take it out on her.
"Can we just try to forget everything and have a good time. I'm sick of dwelling on the past. I'm sure something will come up and we'll find Jason. We haven't given up," Dick replied. "But most off, I need to forget everything at this time and had some fun for once in a while," he said as he looked at her.
He was trying to let go. This was Kory he was with. He really wanted to bring back those feelings of last night he had had of her. Where he couldn't keep his hands off her. But he was having trouble forgetting the current events of that morning as the elevator doors opened for the ground floor to the cars.

The steps to the lift, Kory noticed were quite silent. Mostly on Dick's part. Felt his eyes a little somewhere else and even his mind. Though she could feel his need to be here. To be present. The need to forget and live free for a moment. Felt the brim of her smile as Dick seemed to fall back into the moment. Watching his attempts to smile. Kory playfully shook her head. It was at least something and he was here. For her and she was sure, for himself as well. As the sound of the lift sped up through the floors. With her eyes gently over him, giving him a soft smile. Kory could see he wanted to be here. Just a little battle with his mind. As she silently for a moment watched him. Just watched him. Before that little sound came as the elevator doors sprung open. Not even gasping a breath, Dick had already stepped inside. Kory couldn't hold back a soft joyful laugh. As her eyes could admire his eagerness. Not waiting, Kory followed suit. Finding a comfortable spot. As then she gave him a playful look as she then took in what he had just said. Shaking her head very slightly in amusement.
"Aren't you the rebel. I wonder though. Will Bruce notice your missing?… He's not really the out of the box type, is he?"
Kory joked as the doors closed. Not maybe well. As her eyes flashed to him. Though finding him technically stealing the car kinda cute. She kept a little more upright. Waiting for the doors to spring. She was happy to hear, Bruce was doing well and trying to imagine Bruce at a carnival. Or really anything remotely joyful. Kory was opened to being surprised. Dick after all, did it often. Flashing him a smile. As she quickly hid her eyes. He knew her well. Laughing a little under her breath and nibbling her own lip. Before his voice cut within. Kory returned her eyes. Felt how and rather why it was effecting him. She knew a little more now. Her eyes ran over him to the ground. As the words 'He ran' springing her mind. She knew it before, but she knew it now. It wasn't his fault. Though the pain in his eyes. Pained her, felt a deep swell in her chest. The unknowing whether Jason was alright. She could understand. There had felt this huge space in this elevator and suddenly, it felt so small. As Kory could linger far anymore. Felt her right hand brushing his left. A small gesture to ease him. As she nodded. Accepting his wishes. With a forgiving smile.
"Sure, I understand, Dick… We will find him… Just let me… Say one thing. It isn't your fault, that Jason made his choice as you did once before. We can't know for sure, but perhaps it was the same for Jason, he felt he had to do it… Besides, if you hadn't, where would it leave us?"
Felt the closeness. Almost comforting for herself as well. Reassuring him that Jason would be found. At least trying. As she smiled to him. Her left hand moved towards his arm. As her right that was aiming to brush his own, moved a little more to hold it. In more the friendly gesture. Kory understood his desire to move on. Life now was important, but she had to say just one thing. Whether or not Dick would heed to it or not. Kory just felt the need to say it. As just from what he said. Jason made that choice to run away. It wouldn't of mattered had it been Dick or anyone. Given the chance, Kory was sure Jason had made up his mind. It was just a matter of time. She couldn't help see the small parallel as when Dick ran away. Not that it made the choices right, just their own. For Dick. He made a good choice, it sure didn't mean the same for Jason. Though she hoped it might give Dick a little comfort. Knowing Dick he might find another reason to blame himself. As his choice led him to The Teen Titans and eventually led him to her. If he hadn't made that choice. Would they be here? As her eyes looked to him. It wasn't a question she cared to answer. Because it didn't matter. As luckily they never had to live that possibility.
"It's ok, Dick."
His apology was too sweet. As Kory stood closely. As her voice softly spoke. Added with her deep smile. Her eyes could see so much on his shoulders. He needed time. He needed space. A moment to relax. Kory could very little change the thudding in her chest, with how he cared so greatly. Feeling rather in a silent place. As soon realising the floor was settling in place. Her hand motioned to caress his arm as he spoke. Requesting his desire. Which was very much what she already had in mind. Excitement in her eyes. His words brought the smile to her face.
"I wouldn't have it any other way. You know how much I love unloading your shoulders. I don't think we could of picked a better place… Only thing that could distract the fun today… Is more fun… You think we should stop by the tower?"
Kory beamed happily. Agreeing to his words. That's exactly what will happen. At least try to happen. As her smile grew. Amusingly referring to his shoulders. He did carry a lot and any chances like these. Kory could help ease them even for a moment. Was wonderful. Seeing him happy. With that said, Kory felt her eyes steady a little extra time upon his shoulders. They really were lovely shoulders. Much better when they weren't so covered. Soon she pealed her eyes off to his own. With the warm joy at her lips. At his request for fun. That was what he would get. Sometimes he should be careful what he wished for. Just maybe not in this case. Silently admiring him as the doors flung open. She asked bubbly and curiously as she walked out of the elevator. Changing the subject to the more present situation. Seeing cars in odd patterns in the car park. Turning the corner to head towards her car space. Kory hadn't heard from the titans much lately. So she couldn't be sure if they'd even be there. She had that desire to hug them all. She had missed them all, even just seeing the tower might be nice. She wondered as she walked. Smiling softly to be going with a very special titan. It was going to be a very pleasant day. It was spring. Ripe and fresh. Kory stopped in her tracks. After her mind had suddenly gone into Titan land. With her eyes suddenly doing double takes at the tiny mini car before her. Assuming it was her car space. When it really was a space or so over.
"Oh… it is.. Well, very cute. It's not really what I expected of you, Dick… Are you sure, everything is going to fit? I guess we can make it fit."
Felt her green eyes do a little double take. Felt the search for the words. It was very unexpected, but as looked a little more. She could say for it was at least cute. Giving Dick a sweet smile. Before realising this meant Dick had picked it. Not only tiny. It was a rather brightly coloured. Maybe he could still surprise her. Trying to figure out how all her belongings from her apartment was going to fit. Assured they would find away, Kory motioned closer to the car and to the passenger side. She was always optimistic.

”He won’t notice,” was Dick’s only reply to her question on Bruce as they headed out.
He looked at her on the subject of Jason. ”Jason is different. It’s not the same thing,” Dick replied. His tone taking a turn for not wanting to discuss this topic at this time. He was at odds with Jason quite a bit and all this was not helping.
Sure he was worried about him. But why Bruce had taken the kid in and allowed him to be Robin like that was still a bit of a mystery to him. And Jason had proven many times the trouble he can cause in his part as a vigilante. At times, his methods seemed even darker than the side of Batman no one liked to see or have to deal with.
”And there is a chance we could stop at the tower,” he added as they talked.
He had felt her hand take a hold of his arm and he did not pull away. He allowed this contact. He really did want this contact between them. There was no way he wanted to be the stick in the mud that day. But with the break up, he was a little irritated by it all.
Though there was definitely something brewing within. There was a chance he could get over this all. He was with Kory at that time. And it was always good to have a close friend there to help you through a rough time.
Dick led them into the parking lot. And Kory had gotten ahead of him to spot at a car. He stopped short and kind of gave her the look of wondering why she had stopped there. He knew that wasn’t her spot.
He smiled at her reaction over the car she was looking at. He laughed a bit at how she had thought that was one of Bruce’s cars. Bruce’s usually stuck to the darker shades of the color wheel when it came to vehicles.
Dick walked pass her about three more cars down as she had gone the the passenger side of that car. He stopped and stood behind the jeep wrangler he had borrowed. Leaning up against the back and waiting for her to take the hint as to the situation, he smiled as he watched her for her reaction over this all.
”Um, Kory....Wrong car,” he called out as he waited for her to join him.
The jeep wrangler had another row of seats in it and a large back cab to it for extra space. It was a dark shade of navy blue. It was one of the recent models, though probably about five years old now, with strong horsepower in the engine and off roading wheels. The vehicle looked like something that might have just come off a new car lot. Thought that was how most of Bruce’s cars looked. Alfred did take great car of the vehicle that were not in use.
Dick in particularly liked driving this one around. The control on the steering was excellent and it handled high speed and obstacles nicely. At times when he and Bruce had used to go out for get togethers with other Gotham elite, this was one of the fun vehicle that was taken when going off roading with some of the other ‘free spirits’ or the rich community. Though when given the chance, this one had faced some interesting challenged between the other rich kids thinking Wayne’s ward was too chicken to race it.
Though Dick had proven them wrong by just doing the opposite and taking the rougher terrain testing out just how nicely this baby handled the rocky roads. But those times had past, and that was hardly something done any more.
”You really thought I’d take the smallest car possible to New York? Come on, the drivers in that city are crazy,” Dick replied. Though he was guilty of driving quite reckless at high speeds back in the days as a Titan with the old cycle he used to drive.
”Besides, you said you wanted some help moving some of your stuff. And really, I would know exactly what kind of stuff you wanted to bring to Gotham. For all I know, you could have a piano in that apartment of yours that you thought would be fun to start taking lessons on,” Dick said jokingly of course.

For a second, the moment had almost dropped. Kory could feel through Dick's eyes and from his voice. From what he said. He needed to leave Gotham for the day. Not just in body, but in mind as well. Still Kory lifted up a small smile at his comment on Bruce. Flashing Dick with her green eyes. Before finding his own eyes upon her. It was clear. He needed to escape this. Just for a moment. More than a moment. Let his hair down and remember what it was like to have fun. Kory sure needed to as her hand fluffed her hair a little. Then came a bright little smile. A nod. Letting him know she understood, with the look she gave him. Then felt that little rise in her chest. All bubbly and feeling something new. As Dick spoke of the tower. Even happier as Dick accepted her hand. Her hold of his arm. Friendly, with that extra closeness.
"Oh, that would be really nice. It seems so long ago since I've seen everyone... If we're staying the night, we could drop by tomorrow. We'll have more time."
With Kory's sweet words. Recalling her friends and the chance to visit. It made her beam. Her cheeks warmed. As her hand around his arm, almost pulling herself closer. As her green eyes looked up to Dick. Felt her gentle grip upon his arm. The faint rush if her heart. Her eyes scattered for a moment. Tracing as they walked. It seemed only natural to stay the night. It would give more time to visit tomorrow. Which in turn gave more time for the Amusement park and time with each other. Her very special friend. Beaming with a smile. Just for this day and time. It could and would be just them. As she held his arm. There was so much comfort in the fact he didn't pull away. As they walked a little further. Kory even rested her head. She was happiest when she was by his side. As soon as the cars came to view and the spaces had opened up. Came that excitement inside. This was really happening. Getting a little head of herself. For that moment. Letting him go and found the car she believed to be his. Theirs. In turn was Bruce's. It defiantly was not the style she had expected. It took some time to realise. It was just her. That Dick wasn't as close as she imagined. He did not follow her. So when called out, Kory looked. Finding him. Feeling the faint colour to her cheeks. Giving a hint of innocence. Flashing him a smile.
"Oh it is? Right! My bad!"
Asking as her eyes moved between the vehicles. Yes, defiantly wrong car. He had that look. That she playfully eyed. Not wasting a moment. Kory quickly moved away from the tiny car and over to where Dick leaned on the jeep. Looking a little smug. Felt his amusement in his tone. Happy now to hopefully be on track and with him. Kory smiled softly. Laughing softly at his words.
"Well, I was a little surprised and I'm rather relieved. I'm not sure either one of us, would have fit in it… Dick, that's why your the one driving."
There was a little faint blush to her cheeks as she spoke. Her eyes looking to his. Yes, he was amused. She couldn't help laugh herself either. As her eyes trailed back to the mini car. There was probably a small chance with her height, she would have fit into it… It would have been a tight space. If it was with anyone else, could almost be uncomfortable. Her hand pulled at her bag, to hold a little better at her shoulder. Nodding as she recalled the crazy driving. One reason she wasn't the one driving. She smiled. Although she was well aware of his like of the faster kind of driving. Eyeing him playfully as he spoke of her apartment. Felt that little rush in her heart. Even though a joke… He was half right. As Kory softly laughed with him. Almost shrugging her shoulders. Failing playfully to see the problem. Although. A Piano? Kory giggled. Her mind half wandering. That wouldn't be so bad. "I'm happy to hear, you remember it so well and thank-you for lending your hands today, Dick… This car will defiantly suit us much better!"
Even though she said it. Kory was hardly surprised. Dick had spent many nights and mornings with her. Knew how she lived. How her apartment was. Half the time, wondering why he didn't just move in, given that was where he at one point was spending a lot of his time at. More than his own apartment. It was sweet. As Kory looked in his eyes. He was almost picturing it and he did not look disappointed. Smiling softly as she thanked him. In advanced, but it seemed good to say it now. Kory commented on the car as she moved away from the spot and towards the passenger side. Feeling the need. The excitement to get in. As her eyes traced the framing. The size. It was much better. With this feeling of the space between them. Closing it with a warm smile. As she was glad to be moving on with him and hopefully to a much better place. Who knew? Maybe in a better place than they ever had before. It was just a matter of getting in the car now and taking that chance. As with her green left eye. She winked at him. With her hand upon the handle about to open it.
"Are we ready?"

”I really don’t like feeling like I’m all caged up and you know that,” Dick replied referring to the spaciousness of the cars compared against each other. He liked to have more freedom. Sure the bigger vehicles were nice to drive around at times, but he love drive motorcycles most of all.
With a motorcycle there was no space limit. And you are free to move as you please through the traffic. Driving one of them was easy to slip through tight spots and get ahead of things in stead of being stuck in one spot. And Dick hate to feel trapped. Something he was quite often fighting against through out his career as a vigilante at times. And sometimes his personal life.
”I don’t really care for the New York traffic in general. Even the night traffic is rough to work through when trying to patrol. It was always easier to go by foot on patrol through there,” he spoke up again on the New York subject.
Dick could recall many times almost getting hit by a taxi drive on his speed chases through the city streets. Those driver were truly nuts....Well, not nuts per say, but always in a rush. Only focused on getting some where on time and waiting to the last minute to leave for said place.
Though with the Titans, not all their crime fighting had been in New York. They had literally been all over the world and to a few places out of this world as well. Not something they ventured on much, but the need came occasionally to help out with missions in the League. And for some personal for some teammates.
And through it all, Kory had been by his side. Sure they had their little arguments within the team. But when it came down to the important decisions, she had been my his side all the way. Supporting him as a teammate and as a leader. It was never easy running such a group like this. And compare to Dick, most of his teammates had superpowers or special abilities. Pretty much aliens or meta on the team at times. And Dick was only a human. Well, a very athletic and well trained human for that fact.
Bringing himself back to the subject at hand, Dick looked at Kory when she had returned a comment on how he had said he knew her well enough to know what she would probably bring back with her. But it was true enough. There were just a few small things she always took with her. Stuff she treasured and then the stuff she thought was just plan amazing about earth and their ways.
But when she had mentioned more into it about him remembering, he knew what she was thinking about. How could he forget the place? He had practically lived there like it was a second home to him while he had been with the Titans. His cheeks turned a light shade of red when she had said that. And that was because he was remembering all the times they in particular had spent many, well not just days, but nights together at her place. He could easily remember many times waking up at her place and often arriving within the central area of the tower with Kory.
How he could remember the smirk looks on some of his teammates faces at their knowing exactly what had went on between the two if they had arrived at the same time. Heck, he could recall for the most part the annoyance at times it had caused Roy at first when Kory and Dick had started dating. And the smug look on some of the other guys in the group. This was often their way of teasing him, but he would return a sharp glare to them if they said anything or where planning on cracking any jokes. Not that he didn’t mind it so much, but what he and Kory did was their business and not the teams.
”You know I wasn’t going to let you do all that work by yourself after you told me. I wouldn’t let you,” Dick replied. Though he knew she was much strong then him because of who she was. Everyone had their differences. Sure she might be stronger than him, but he seemed to have away of getting those that are stronger than him or have powers to be able to follow his lead.
He watched as she moved to the passenger side as he had moved to get away from leaning on the vehicle. She seemed anxious to get going. And with her hand upon the handle and asking if they were ready. And when she winked at him, that little bit of heat of feeling washed over him again. Pushing away the passed thoughts and making want to move forward.
Kory always had a way of making him him forget his worries. And that was what he liked about being with her. Though there were a few other reasons as well.
”Uh...yeah, we are,” he said as he as he tried to get the keys out of his pocket and he fumbled with them to find the one for the ignition since the doors, he had already unlocked.
Dick walked over to the driver’s side at a quick pace and climbed in. Shutting the door as he climbed in, he get the keys in and the engine started. Though waiting for Kory to climb in and settle herself as well. He needed this a day away from everything to forget.
His heart pounding his his chest over the excitement and the chance to be with Kory for the day. But his mind was still tracing back to the days events that had led him to all this. And to what in the last few weeks had led him back to Kory. For come reason something always seemed to lead him back to her. Not that he was complaining.
But through the hard times she had been there. Always ready to take him back or just be there for him. And right now he was feeling that even more just wanting to be with her and no one else. His mind pushing everything else out of sight within him. Getting him to forget and move on. Sure it was happening fast and he was still upset, but he wanted to get over it fast. The sooner the better. He didn’t like to mope about what had happened. He didn’t like to talk about it. What had happened happened. And what he had said and did was done. He couldn’t change that. But at this time he didn’t care. He was with Kory. And all the thoughts of last night came rushing back to him of how he had felt being back with her.
There was just this rush. This high energy. A charge so to say he felt with her. There had always been this spark between them. No matter where they went or what they did, it seemed to always relight.
Dick fumbled around for the GPS systems. Have the time he traveled there had been by flying, or the bat submarine. etc. It had been a while since he had to take the normal routine like any other person. And just in case they decided to take any detours it wouldn’t hurt to have it out.
When Kory had gotten in probably about the same time Dick had, he rooted through the glove compartment to try and find the GPS system. Not really thinking about it, just trying to find the device. The cab of the vehicle was quite spacious, so he was in no way getting in the way of her getting in. There was just mainly the gear shift between the two seats.
Dick couldn’t find it in the glove compartment. He wondered who was the last one to take this vehicle out for a drive. He leaned back into the seat a bit and checked the compartments on the driver’s side door. This was one of those times the built in systems would have been nicer, but this was one of the older models compared to todays.
Still no luck, and there was only one other place to check and that would be on the passenger side compartment on the side door. He’d have to check. There was a built in compartment within the arm rest of the door, he’d at to check. But he hesitated at the moment when he looked over at Kory. ”Sorry Kor, I need to check the arm’s compartment for the GPS system if we want to make it through the city streets of New York alive and not getting lost,” Dick replied. That city was just too large at times to memorize the entire zone. That and the new building that had went up since he was gone, they could have closed a few alley ways and streets and such.
This was a bit out of his comfort zone in having to do this. He hadn’t meant this as a trick to her to get in her space like this. He looked at her and his face flushed a shade almost pinkish, with the thought. And looking at her was just bringing that rush back to him again.
Dick leaned over toward the passenger side to try and reach his hand to the passenger’s door. Definitely a rush going through him as he did this. The sooner he could find it the sooner he would retreat. He honestly did not want to make Kory feel uncomfortable at all.

There was something in his eyes. As he spoke that. Kory couldn't help, than admire it. What he said. What that meant. As her green eyes gently brushed off of him. Smiled sweetly. Reframing her eyes on his... She knew that. Better yet. Kory knew well the taste. The need for freedom. Even the feeling of being caged caused the bumps on her skin to show. It wasn't something she would allow again. With the closeness. Kory's hand gently tugged at his fingers. As though he meant the cage meaning something as a car. She knew this day was to help free him. His mind. From the mental cage that had been created for him. Allowing her orange finger to motion a little over his finger. If he'd allow her.
"Yes. I do... I don't like that feeling either and I swore I'd never feel it again... Neither should you."
There was no hesitation in her response. As there was no need to question it. Her eyes played with him. Having spent so many days and nights. Since she first arrived here. He knew her past well. How her father had forsaken her. His own daughter. To years of torture and pain. Knew the little fight within herself. With trying to be so strong and move on. Shaking her head ever so slightly. Curling her hand into a small fist. She had promised herself she wouldn't be trapped again. She wouldn't be taken again. As she looked to him in confidence. Her fingers that played towards his own. Fell up towards his cheek. Smiling brightly. She didn't want him anymore than he did. She would not bare that so well. Having gone through it herself. Though like herself. She knew he could survive anything. That brief moment perhaps a brush at his cheeks. Smiled. Dropping her hand, as Dick spoke of the traffic. Kory hardly knowing what he was talking about. Then it was different, when one could fly. Was so much easier. Although one can still get lost.
"It is a big city, Dick. If it makes you feel any better. We can go by foot once we're there… Or who knows. Maybe fly."
Listening. Standing closely. Kory found his words cute. When he was a little frustrated. Half wondering what he was implying. As walking to New York from here, Kory knew wasn't an option. Laughing gently a little with her words. If he wanted to walk home with this piano or who knows what else. It was though. A big city. A very big, yet she gathered loved city. Smiling softly as there would probably be walking involved once there. Especially at the carnival. Maybe a walk through the park. Ok Kory was half wondering why not stay a couple of days. As her eyes played him. Let's just go one day at a time. She couldn't help than to smile a little brighter. To maybe go flying with him in New York. It was in her mind the easiest way to travel… Well. Just not with carrying a lot of things at once, regardless of strength. More balance. Watching there at his silence at some of her words. It was sweet to watch his eyes change. Maybe his mind a little. Her home where ever it maybe was always open for him. Regardless of arguments. When it counted. Kory couldn't nor wouldn't turn him away. Just as her eyes played at him. Her head tilted that her red locks tousled around her bare arms. She knew. He'd never turn her away. Whether the love would be enough or not. She was sure in some fashion she would always be in his heart. Kory playfully scowled at him. It failed miserably. At his words. 'I wouldn’t let you.' Though yes. It soon turned to a smile. As though. Truth she could lift better than Donna at the best of times. He still would help. Lend her his hands. It made her feel a little warm and fuzzy inside. That not only that he accepted. He wanted to help her.
"I say I didn't stand a chance. Though your company is also very valued, Dick."
Kory pleasantly remarked amusingly. Sweet with a smile. As she found her way to the passenger side. To watch how relaxed he had been resting against the car. Of course adding to the fact. Dick was coming. His company alone was really the highlight of it all. Making it more fun and defiantly more enjoyable. Her lips brightened as Dick responded. Happy to be on the move. Her eyes catching him fumbling. Did he need a hand? Kory thought as her hand pulled at her door handle. No. No. He got it. She flushed a pleased gaze upon him. As he then got into the driver's side. Kory opened her door. Not too slowly. She was excited. She was half visualising New York. Then realised it was better in the flesh. As she began to get in. She came to find. Dick a little maybe overwhelmed? She was defiantly curious. As to what he was doing. As twisted in her seat to placed her handbag in reach on the backseat and then closed the door. Now in close space with Dick. Still fretting. Watched as he must be looking for something. Half raising her eyebrow. About to speak as he stopped for a moment and looked around in the car. Then his eyes came to her own. Before she could speak. Maybe lend a hand. He spoke. Oh. Kory realised it now. Relaxed more in the seating.
"Of course… How reckless were you planning to drive? Will I need to hang on?"
Not much of a hesitation. Kory was happy for him to find this device. Although she joked back to his words about making it alive. As really he wasn't that bad of a driver. Laughing softly. Maybe hanging on similar to last night. Funny though. Before she could really respond. Kory already saw Dick reaching across. His hand reached over to the door. Heard as his hand fumbled around a bit. Catching that slight flush with his cheeks. Feeling her own chest rise. It was a closeness a little unlike moments before. In all honesty she felt nerves as well, but she was liking this. She could see every strand of hair. The way his was like. Felt him so close. She could almost feel him brush against her. His arms across her lap. Rolling her lip gently. Felt her chest catching as it rose. Her fingers moved up a little. To trace lightly the skin of his arm. Motioned. Lightly at where his tee shirt sleeve met his skin. Her eyes tracing up his arms. To his cheeks to his eyes that were maybe trying not to look at hers. Smiled softly. As her finger almost felt the shape of his muscle. A little more. Then she reached her hand to where his was. Felt around. Felt the need. The desire. Unable to stop her smiled. Touching him as she took hold. What she assumed was what he was looking for. Her other hand. Came towards his arm. The soft caress. As the feel of his skin had lingered on her mind, but she still missed it.
"Here, is this it?"
Asking as Kory held out something she thought it could be. Wondering why he had reached over when she could of looked for it. As her eyes looked for his own desire. The way his cheeks had blushed. As he would maybe move. Kory's hand moved up his arm. To his shoulder. To his neck. To maybe catch his bottom lip in just the right moment with her own lips. As what ever she had been holding she let go. Her tightness in her chest.

”Wouldn’t hurt either way,” he replied to her as he watched her.
He knew they would have time to go about the city. Besides the fair would be open probably until about ten or eleven for the night. It was the last night though so the fireworks would probably be scheduled for that night. It usually was. Always at the end of the three day fair.
Dick could remember the days of the circus. They would end at ever visit to a city with a firework display when they were set up as a bit of a fair ground as well for more customers. It wasn’t every time they moved, but when it was a good set up, it was still nice to watch after a night of performing.
As they were now seated in the jeep, Dick had gotten his mind set on getting ready to go. But with the GPS missing he was now looking for it. Though he would find himself finding something else instead of the system.
”I never said I was going to drive reckless. I just rather not end up getting side tracked by other stops along the way to New York. That and I saw a traffic report of work in upper Manhattan,” Dick replied to her comment as he continued to search.
Dick had reach across her, with little need to since she could have gotten it, but he could get it himself. Maybe there was a little more to it, but he didn’t seem to catch it himself. Even though it was his actions causing this awkwardness between them. He accidently brushed against her a few times in his search. His motions slowing a bit as his heart pounded faster.
He got a bit of a shiver going through him when he felt Kory’s fingers run against his skin. Almost holding his breath as she ran her hand up his arm and then followed it to the compartment on the door. Dick some what stopped and looked at her when her attention seemed to be on grabbing the device at the time as well.
Her words then caught him as he saw that she had gotten the item he was looking for. He looked upward toward her as he had been leaning in front of her.
”Yeah, that’s it,” he said as he went to grab for the system. Though he found his attention taken away from it as he felt her other hand on his arm now. He had gotten a hold of the system, but he felt her hand work it’s way up his to his shoulder, then to his neck as he was almost pulled up in away.
More of his body following the movement of her hand trailing up his body. As he had moved upward with her hand a bit, he find himself in a kiss with Kory,
As soon as their lips met, he let go of the device. Now lost in something else than what he had been searching for. He followed her lead as he was no longer leaning across her, but now leaning toward her for the kiss.
He accepted it, not pulling away or anything like that. He leaned into it. Allowing for the kiss to be a bit deeper. He found himself lost in a rush. The kind of energy that surges through him when he was with Kory at times like this. But this time there was no holding back. Nothing to worry about losing what had already been lost.
Dick was on the side edge of the driver’s seat to be closer to her as they kissed. He brought his hand up to caress her cheek with his right hand. And brought the left up to be placed gently on her neck to bring her in.
He didn’t want to break off the long kiss at first, but he needed to get a breath as this had been a bit sudden. He took a breath, but was right back to moving against her own lips and returned the light return of the catch on her lower lip now as well.
Though has he kissed her hi hand on the back of her neck wandered down her back gently and slowly as he kissed her back. His body heating up slight again at the rush f kissing her. He would worry about the GPS in a while. He didn’t care now, he was lost with Kory. His hand traveling down her back.

Felt the simple tingles. As he watched her. As Dick watched her. Smiling softly at his words. It was going to be a long night. Was all Kory could think. If sleep came it was going to take some time. Her eyes curiously moved pondering what exactly he was thinking. As she was looking forward to the walking as well. Feeling the gentle rise of her bumps on her arms. Of course in the good way. Almost she saw his eyes light up like fireworks. They too would help fill up the sky. The light. The energy. As Kory's chest tightly rose. She was happy to jump into the jeep. Getting that comfy spot. So they may leave. Get to the colours. The lights. The fun. The relaxation if anything. Hmmm. Hot tub, maybe. Bubbles could be nice. As happily thought. Her eyes playfully moved over Dick. At his words. She smiled childishly. No because she learnt last time, it didn't come with a warning. Which made her laugh to herself silently. Other stops? Her eye brow raised? That was a different vacation. If he was referring to their last drive in the car. Kory almost playfully scowled at him.
"I was joking, Dick. You know I like how you drive… What other stops? As much I like as you know seeing the world… I think I can hold off on this trip…"
Though of course he would take her words literally as his mind was on the task. As she happily watched him. She really had no complaints. Even if he went a little too fast. It was fun. Especially with the roofs down and the wind through her hair. She giggled softly at the thought. She was happy with the set up tonight. As she curiously asked what he meant. Was as he putting that serious look on when he was really joking with her. Trying to fool her. Kory playfully eyed him. Well it was only fair if he did. Had she just did about his driving. It all sort of rushed away in that moment. As Dick had reached across. Kory could feel his awkwardness. She could almost see his pulse race through his neck. Hers was thudding a bit to. He was every bit she needed. Wanted to love. Felt him almost shiver at her touch. Catching his breath. As Kory licked and gently bit her lip. Laughing softly. He was still all bit adorable as when he was the little Robin hardly ever been kissed. OH, but did she learn. He could kiss. Yes. Not bad. Not bad at all. Kory recalled. As she took hold of the device. Finding that closeness just such a rush. It was so thrilling. So many emotions. Rolling her lip a little as he looked to her. Realising he was leaning so close. Smiled sweetly to his words. As he shyly went for it. Kory couldn't really contain it much. She liked his skin too much. Her hand escaping. Felt her inners catching. Upon his neck. As he moved closer for the device. Kory took the lead. Although as her eyes shut for that moment. Dick almost fell within her lips.
Both her hands went to his neck, one just lightly upon his cheek. As that first chance of air. Kory almost smiled. The joy. It was so good to feel this. As he was giving in. A little differently than last night. More freedom. He really wanted this. As her lips then moved. Pulling in more of his lips. Latching almost on his bottom lip. Kory felt his body approaching her more. Causing her to almost lean back, while her lips were anything than ready to pull back. It was comfortable. Raw. Exciting. The touch of his hand. Caused her to escape a simple moan from her lips. Eventually picking up a little by little. It was almost hard to breath. Luckily for Kory she didn't need air, but soon it felt she was breathing him in. Her lips massaged his. Her tongue moved just a little inside. As her kisses came deep and held on. Kory felt his hands move. As though she had almost sunk into the chair. His travels down her back pulled her in. Kory was happy. He was lost and for a moment in no mood to find his way. Only to her. As her left hand moved up. Fingers running through his hair. Escaping a deeply like sound to feel his embrace. In such a reaction Kory gently nipped his lip. Her other hand slipped down to his chest. Falling down a little more. So that her hand could find a way to feel his chest for real. Though starting only with the gentle play of her fingers nearing his torso. Before gently moved up with her fingers.
"Your, not… Holding back."
Kory mumbled when she somehow found a way to to speak between this kisses. It was almost more her speaking what was on her mind. Realisation of something. The way Kory could sense he was feeling. In his actions. He wasn't holding back last night, but this. This was different. It was hard to say what she was feeling last night that made her feel she should hold back. When it came to him. She didn't want to. She wasn't generally the hiding type. If open to the most. It was him. With her words. Brought this even more joyfully. Smiling. As her lips had slowed down a little. They moved back a little more with content now. Though there was that little chance her words were to ask him why, but in all honesty. Kory wasn't really sure she minded why, just that it was happening.

”Not just regular sight seeing stops, but the avoiding traffic and all, I guess,” Dick replied to her as he followed suit. He was a little eager to get going at this point.
The car ride there might be long, but he had a feeling it wouldn’t feel as long as the drive was. With Kory, it was probably going to be an interesting day all together. They hadn’t gone out like this in a long time. And probably didn’t do something so spare of the moment and care free like this since they used to be dating.
In the jeep with her then and now finding himself losing the concept of exactly what they were headed off to do. He found himself faced with a distraction. But a very welcomed one at that over his movement to try and find something. He rather enjoyed the change in the pace right now between them.
He had no need to hold back. He was free to do as he wanted. No one to worry about, but himself at that time and what he wanted. And he had a feeling Kory might be feeling about the same way with how she had moved in on him like that.
Dick was a bit surprise at her being so forward at the moment. Almost feeling like he was being pulled into her. But he equalled that out by returning her touch by trying to draw her closer with his left hand. Gently rubbing her back as he wanted her closer.
He loved the reaction he was getting from her with his touch upon her back. She was the one definitely leading him into this. He might be able to make a few moves, but she was taking control and seemed to be enjoying it. As was he. He did not deny any of her actions. His hand on her cheek moved down to her neck to support their passionate kiss. Her tongue playing of his a bit, but he did not mind it.
Then he felt her touch upon his chest as her hand ran down his chest and lower. He could feel her hand linger almost to tease him as she then placed her hand under his shirt and could then feel her touch upon his skin. Dick gave a low groan over all this as she seemed to be pulling him in further. Getting lost within her kiss.
And he could hear her words between their kisses as he let his hand work it’s way up her back a bit. Only to then to work its way down further on her back.
Between another kiss, Dick pulled away slightly to get breath and answer her. As she was wondering the reason for his actions maybe.
”No reason to,” Dick replied as he pulled her in closer.
It was a bit awkward trying to lean over the gear shift in the middle, but he didn’t care. He’d rather take the awkwardness over leaving her kiss. He loved the feel of her arm and hands on him. Keeping him in place. As he returned that feel to her.
He was more forward this time, nipping her lower lip as he returned the kiss. His hand on her back worked is way down further now setting on her waist. His other hand sliding from her neck to a little more support near her shoulder blade.

With given little chance to respond. Kory very kindly smiled and nodded. Once there, things would fall into place. If they hadn't already. As with the leaning in towards her. The closeness. It was purely amazing. It defiantly felt falling into place. With him. As she let another moan. As she felt she was falling into his lips. Moving in zinc. With little room to move. Her eyes shut as to best enjoy this moment. This emotion. Oh. How her chest rose. Her skin felt on fire. He was not holding back. Defiantly was not. It was him. All him. Kory did manage to laugh. Somehow she did. As she could feel his reaction to her eagerness. She had needed him so badly, he laughter cut a little short as he didn't shy way, but matched her moves. Matched her lips with his own. It was a taste she knew so well and longed for it when she did not have it.
The feeling of his hand was wonderful. She smiled. Arched her back. Falling further into his arms. Sending a shiver up her spin. Along with the little flicks of her tongue, her lips massaged his. Hardly breaking. Kory felt his fingers move down her to her neck. Letting out a deep breath. Her eyes opened. She could not bare not to look at him. Her eyes searched his. As the side of his nose grazed hers with every move of their lips. Felt her chest moving a little quicker. Her fingers ran along his line. Felt his skin react. His groan in her ear. Biting her own lip between a kiss. As her hand slipped and disappeared upon his bare chest under his clothes. Tracing the lines of his right peck muscle. She could feel every breath rise and every beat below of his heart. His pulse was racing. Her lips moved a little deeper and her other hand was getting caught within his hair. Her chest pressed against his with her hand somewhere between. As his hand caressed her back to push her a little further. For a moment her lips slowed. Her lips just brushed his as he spoke. Her mind span at his words. She could tell it was true. Oh, he might just had made her truly happy. Finding it hard really not to smile, though it made kissing a little interesting. A little more intent. As pulled him a little closer in her response. Feeling the little hurdle between them, but it didn't sway him. Kory bubbled up laughter. She was sure she'd pay for it. As her fingers circled. Her nail dug a little as he nipped her lip. Pulling each other in this passion. Her fingers that were coiled in his hair, tightened and loosened. Finger trailed just near his eyes. Tracing the skin. Felt the shift of his hands. He wasn't planning to run nor hide. Barely realising as he did the strap of her dress slipped off her shoulder.
Perhaps now her dream could come true. She could be with him once again. Somewhat like before. Only maybe a little differently. As the excitement drove through her body. She was sure he could feel it. Her fingers below traced his collar bone. She felt nerves. Actual nerves. To feel his heart and his pulse. She withdrew from the kiss. As her hand at his cheek moved down. Resting a finger under his chin. Her eyes open and half glued. Smiled softly. Lightly kissing his lip in between. Really soaking this in. As her finger even motioned to brush his lips. Her eyes settled upon them a little. Kissing his lips again. Only her desire growing.
"Dick?... I thought you wanted to avoid the traffic?..."
Kory took grasp between the kisses and her eyes upon him. Teasing him about his past words he had spoken. Her tone playful. Having just seen him fret over it. She wasn't sure it was much a concern now. As she took hold of his lip. Though wondering if he did indeed completely forget where they were going. As clearly with her close hold and unending kisses. She wasn't wanting this to end, but to continue in New York. No boundaries. Although as she kindly eyed him, she was sure he cld find some. Without much warning she giggled. Her breathless smile. To see him at the other end.
"You, do remember the hot tub, don't you?"
Her finger traced down his neck and back up to his chin. Giving him that look. As Kory was sure Dick could take the hint within her words. As slowly after speaking warmly kissed his lips passionately. Her hand underneath ran up a little more. Caressed his skin. As her own pulse raced. She knew to break this for now was going to be painful, but the destination was going to be worth it.

Dick could feel her nails against his skin. And her tracing his collarbone. This was a feel and touch he knew all too well from her. And he always enjoyed the touch of her soft hand against his skin. He hadn’t realized how much he had missed it since she had been gone all this time.
There was always something about her touch and her way that made him get lost in a good way. He could forget about the world around him. Leaving his worries behind when he was with her.
And after last night, it had reminded him why he had missed what he had. And the news that had been terrible that morning, seemed now to be washed away and forgotten. Sure part of him was still hurting over it and the trust between his friend might not be the same. But there was a feeling that somehow they’d over come it in time.
But now he was lost with Kory. Someone he knew so well and knew him in return. They had been through so much. And rejoining like this was just as natural to him as breathing it seemed. He didn’t miss a beat as they were together.
The touch of her hands on him was pure bliss for him as they kissed. He had missed all this. And was glad to have Kory there and now.
He allowed for her to pull a way for a moment. He catching his own breath at the time. ”It won’t hurt to hit a bit of traffic along the way,” he replied to her.
He pulled her back to him. Completing the kiss again. Not really wanting for it to end. But knew they would need to get a move on soon enough.
And as she broke again a few moments later. He was starting to wonder the delay in her ways. But he knew she wanted to get to New York. And he as well was looking forward to a day away from Gotham.
He saw that look in her eye as she spoke of the hot tub. A smirk came to his face as he raised an eyebrow, knowing exactly what she was getting at.
”How can I forget? All the fun times we’ve had together,” Dick replied. Cutting the sentence short. He knew she would know he knew this of course.
He pulled her back in once more to kiss her. His hand squeezing her gently on her thigh. His other hand at her shoulder pulling her in his arms a bit better to have her close. He knew he’d have to leave this hold with her soon enough to get going though. But he enjoyed it while he could.
He pulled away from the kiss for a moment. ”I’m going to need that GPS system that is on the floor,” he commented.
