Every touch. Every kiss. Kory felt the chemistry. It was as if it was for the first time. Every time. Feeling the groove of his lip with her tongue. Felt the bubbled breath escape. With such a fire. Lips kissed feeling him almost shiver at her touch. The dig of his skin. Feeling all she could from him. The embrace. Her body jumped to his every breath. Her hand traced down. Her fingers lightly ran down his chest to his torso. Feeling the muscles and the lines of faint scars. Leaning in further even with lips for a moment broke. Kory was ever more there on the ready. Little bumps raised upon her neck as he spoke. She very faintly took her face a way to the side. Her green eye peaked from the corner. Smiling. Gently escaped a laughter at his words.
"No. Or the bumps."
Kory simply agreed, playfully mentioning the many bumps and also the ones on the road, she smiled. Lips back. Brushed. He hardly needed any encouragement. As her lips deepened. A finger lightly ran across his cheekbone. Proving she was happy he was so willing. So at her pulling away. She could feel his questioning. Why? It was hard. So hard to pull away. Kory knew of where they could truly have fun. Yes. She mumbled in her mind. To see his smirk. Her eyes playfully upon him as he took her lead. Tipping back her head a little at his eye brow raise and his words half made her blush in excitement. Her laugh gentle consumed the moment. He motioned her in. Kory fell into him blissfully. Her hand slipped back up to his chest. With more intent with her finger prints. Gentle caress.
"I think, Dick. The fun is only beginning."
This time was different. Kory didn't know how or why. He certainly tasted the same. Maybe better. Feeling the rush, for the fun in their wake. Letting out a sigh, a gentle moan. As his hand met her thigh. Kory's hand that caressed his chest, slipped down to rest upon his own hand. Finger gently circled the top of his hand. Felt his fingers brush where her thighs met. Shifting her legs a little underneath. Her lips had sunk into his lost for a moment. Her hand lightly encouraged his to move, her lips pecked his lips between his words. Knowing it was maybe distracting, playing at him like this. So she let him speak. Trailing some light kisses along his jaw line. His neck. Before seemingly as if she had just heard him. Raising her head. Blinking her eyes. Then ceased the move of her hand. Her eyes trailed to the floor. To the device. As she smiled softly to him. Her heart raced the escape and he was still touching her. Rolling her lips with her tongue, not quickly going to shake what had just happened to them. Bent down and scooped up the device. Before offering it then to him, to take.
"Here you go."
Sweetly gave him a smile. Her hand cut short for a moment, so he may take it from her. Laughing a little as the view was coming into place, it was a good look. As her eyes eyed his possible slightly roughed out hair her fingers had played with. Smiled softly. With mighty silence. With her heart fluttering like a bird. Kory leaned in to run her fingers back through it for him, not that before or after was going to change how he looked to her. Her eyes catching his. Taking that moment to catch his lips once again just more softly this time.

Dick rubbed his hand gently up a little and down her leg as it rested there. He didn’t want to pull away from the kiss. Even as she spoke, he was less than patient for their return.
The feel of her hand upon his. He knew it was almost an encouragement as she drew little circles on his hand with her own. He let his other hand slip gently down her back as well as they continued to kiss again.
He really did hate to end this with asking her for the device. But if they ever wanted to get to New York. Though Dick’s mind was slight wondering now with all that was going on. His head was almost spinning over these moments.
He felt as though he could almost forget about the world around him. And what the time really was. It didn’t seem to matter. But he knew he had all day to spend with Kory. So there would be plenty of time. Though it felt very hard to admit that at the moment.
As they had finally pulled away for a moment, Dick watched her as she got the device. He reluctantly removed his left hand from her thigh so he could grab hold of the GPS. As he did this and got the device, he looked at her again as she began to laugh a little.
”What’s so funny,” he asked her. Though after seeing her line of view he could figure it was his hair since she had been running her hands through it.
He felt her hand come up again and run through his hair once more. But then she leaned forward to kiss again. Dick’s arm dropped a bit as he was about to place the device on the dashboard. He laid it there just in time for the kiss between them.
His hand once more returning to her thigh as they kissed. Though he pulled away for a second to speak. ”You’re giving me mixed signals here, Kory,” he said.
Though he was returning to kissed between his sentences. ”Do we want to go to New York or stay here,” he said joining her kiss again and rubbing the small of her back with his other hand.
”You have no idea how crazy you are driving me right now,” he said though in a good way. Now withholding some of his motion at this time. He knew they needed to get a move on if they wanted more time to spend away from Gotham.

With the warmness of his hand and persistence of his lips. It was trouble to pull away. Though Kory managed. With his hand still on her thigh to help coast her back in as took hold of the device. Coming back up to be back in his embrace, but as she breathed a sigh. His hand left her to grab hold of the device. Her hand fell to his neckline, tracing along his skin. As if he didn't know and questioned what she saw. Caused her to laugh a little more. He was so cute. Felt almost her knees buckle overtime she saw him. If anything they might need a fan soon and this is coming from someone that mightily enjoyed the heat. Her fingers fell through his hair with ease. It felt nice. Bringing them closer again. Feeling her chest tighten. Gently her hands let go and ran down to his cheeks. Closed her eyes as her lips opened for him. Her tongue finding his, in a deep everlasting kiss. Felt her dress lift up a little as she motioned her leg in his direction, so she could get that bit closer.
Barely even taking notice of him putting the device down, so not to have to repeat it over and over again. Lifting her thigh a little more as his hand pulled her in. Reluctantly she let Dick pull back. Felt her breaths thickened. Her hand shaken, rested upon his neck. Keeping her lips close as she almost rested her cheek against him. Trying to collect her bearings, if she even wanted to. At his words. Kory withdrew her head a little. Her eyes catching his, but looking away a little so not to get any ideas. Kory half laughed at herself. Rather surprised at how right he was in his words.
"I know… It's been a while."
That was putting it lightly. As she coached her eyes to his. They made out last night, but it suddenly felt so long ago. Up until then it had. Almost seemed like years and all that time, she had thought about him more than she should have, that was expected of a princess of Tamaran, but he was her heart. Her other half. Now they weren't so many worlds apart. He lifted her face and kissed her again. Closed her eyes as if it was so painfully good. Smiled at his words. Her thumb softly caressed near his lips.
"I want to go to New York, with you… We need this!"
Kory softly spoke, her eyes looked into his. As her hand slid to his chest. To help collect herself to finally pull away, but not in rush. She lowered her thigh down. Her heart raced to be with him, but also raced to be with him in New York. It somewhat felt more like a date. Simply running back up to her room above, but there was more in New York. To really reconnect in a place they had once called home. With her last words. Kory knew Dick needed this. With all that he carried and so much of that was Gotham. Her lips caught in a little smile. All the joy that awaited them on simply the Ferris Wheel. Not only Kory was feeling his love for her, she wanted to tell anyone she could. The whole world, she couldn't exactly do that, but she felt like doing that. Kory's lips found his for a little longer. She had missed his passion, but she could cope without kissing him on the drive. She was really happy to be here, it was just that border feeling she felt she might explode. Well she wanted to explode to New York. Massaged his lips a little more with a gentle moan to his hold on her back. It set little tingles. It was sweet. Kory then let him have his space. Her hand rested still upon his chest as he spoke.
"Your driving me crazy, but I think I have an idea."
Kory playfully whispered. Finally getting herself to let go, but not before her hand fell to a little to his own leg. With the gentle motion of her finger and kissed his lips a little more. Retreating her hand and herself, so there be no more distractions. It could wait. They could wait. Kory knew the longing may seem painful, but it generally helped. Kory then shifted back into her seat. Her hands fixed the slip of the strap of her dress and shimmied down her hem a little back down. More for comfortable reasons of course. Ran her hand through her hair.
"Ok, I'm ready… You need to learn to keep your hands off me."
Kory playfully teased him as if it was all him as she acted as if she was serious, though her half smile clearly gave it away. Like she could ever fool him. Kory fixed herself up a little more. Ready to go and embrace New York. Wherever his hand was, Kory sweetly motioned her hand to hold it. It suddenly felt so fitting to do now and it wasn't entirely that friendly hold as it was just moments before.

”Yeah, a day away from Gotham might do wonders for a break,” Dick replied. Giving a sigh, it would help him to get his mind off things. He knew the others would be alright. Especially with all the newbie heroes working hard lately.
With every kiss they shared, Kory was drawing him further and further away from reality. He’d rather be lost at that point for all he cared. He was more or less happy to stay right there with her for the day. But they did need to get going if they wanted to get her stuff and have some sort of fun in New York.
”I wonder what that could be. Should I be worried,” he said jokingly. As she had then placed her hand on his leg and turned to kiss him again. She really was driving him mad at this point. Though it seemed like they had the whole day a head of them any how to be together.
And for Dick at that point, the old saying of out of sight, out of mind was kicking in high gear that day. He was losing connection on his thoughts a bit as to Gotham needing him around for the night. The city would be fine with one less bat in the city. No one would notice. It was only one night.
”I’m the one who? Whoa! Hold on there. May I remind you, it was you this time whom made the first move,” Dick protested against her statement. It was all in good natured fun of course. It really didn’t matter.
Before she could manage to snag his hand he hot the locations on saved and got the route he needed and place the device on the dash-broad. He took hold of her hand as he turned in his seat properly now. And using his left hand, crossed it over the steering wheel to turn the jeep on.
He didn’t want to let go of her hand as he pulled out. He knew he could manage. Wasn’t the first time he had done something like this. So, he gently accepted her hand to hold his as he got the jeep started up and used his lef thand to shift the gears.
It was an automatic so he wouldn’t have to keep his hands on it rather than taking them away from Kory. He’d be free to pay attention to more as he drove. And also pay attention to someone else a bit more.
”Alright, we’ll head out,” he said.

"Then it's settled then… New York, here we come!"
With the lasting embrace. To hear that familiar sigh escape his lips. Kory's fingers traced around at his chest. The destination was set then. Kory winked at him. Sweetly caressed his cheek, once there Kory knew he'd feel better. What ever had been eating him here. She was really excited to be going herself. As her voice bubbled as her voice almost yelled it out. Giggling softly before her lips found his once again. Her hand ran along his cheek, nearing their lips. As she mumbled unknowing words. This was joy and more just around the corner. It was yes, just a matter of recoiling the urges at the moment. Which Kory could do. The excitement was a good distraction.
"No, but I guess you wouldn't be you if you weren't"
Did she really have a choice in that? Kory jokingly thought. As if Dick worried was something new. Her hand upon his leg, teasing him. She was sure she could handle this worry out of him. Although he really didn't need to worry so much, he was kind of sexy when he did, when he didn't take it far and Kory helped to bring him back down. Her lips held his again. She really couldn't love him anymore. Wait, yes she could. It was like every second, she felt more. Already she could feel he had winded down. Well in his mind at least. She knew this trip with her, would ease more. He could truly breathe and be himself. Kory was very much looking forward to seeing all of him. One more deep kiss. Hmmm. She mumbled. It was too good to leave, but however good it sounded to stay here. Eventually they would need to surface. Whether for food or water. No they needed more. After all, this wasn't just some passing thing. No. Kory expected this was going to last. What ever this was, but of course. As she slipped her hand a way. Kory wouldn't pressure him, but she would not. could not hold back how she felt.
Finally Kory settled back into her chair. Her chest coming back down from the rush. Even though she did not breathe air, he somehow made her feel breathless, in a good way. Fixing herself a little. Then came Dick's protest. It was rather quite cute. Funny. As her green eye peered to him from the side. Kory half expected when she did turn to see hand signals as he spoke. He was that into it. Setting her head back. She simply laughed at him. This felt to good. As her eyes just looked at him. Watched him. He was so handsome, when he was like this. Sexy as he almost pouted.
"Oh. What was I suppose to do? You didn't give me much choice, with you leaning over me like that…
Kory playfully went along with it with a couple of her own hand gestures to help prove her point. Giving the impression she was helpless, no choice. Well, there was some truth to that. As she half eyed him. With the fact he leaned in when he didn't need to. Kory was happy that he did. As soon as she stopped speaking. She smiled. That was said just for fun. Kory trying to use sarcasm. Upon the key being turned and the car started. When the moment came. Kory caught his hand. For truths sake. She loved his hands. Suddenly felt tingles along her skin. Where as she was lost in deep passion before with a lot more touches. Something simple as this, also made her feel a lot. It was a really nice feeling. Yes, she was content with for now. Very much so. As her green eyes glanced out the window as the car began to move. Before her eyes returned to him. Just watched him as her head leaned back into the chair. Unable to be rid of the smile. It was almost branded there. She felt his hand take hers. Entwining her fingers with his. It suddenly felt so right. As another set of energy shot through her. This was joy to her. Escaping a giggle. Joyous and infectious. Her cheeks glowed. This was perfect. For a moment her eyes then looked down from him. To not much of a place. As she recalled what had just happened. Not wanting to ruin it, but to understand the change.
"Dick? When you said you had no reason to hold back, what changed? Things felt different last night."
Kory's eyes then gently and softly traced back up to his. Her voice sweet as she asked. Curious, but she was not complaining. As Kory for a moment tightened her grip slightly so he'd knew that. This did feel just so right. He didn't exactly hold back last night, but something was different. Kory finding the comfort zone in her chair with her hand in his. If for a moment she had to let it go, she would, but she planned to keep it there for however long she could.

”I was just trying to get the GPS system,” Dick replied.
Though he could have just asked. But he wasn’t going to put too much of a fight up against his ways. He didn’t care. It had turned out to be a moment of enjoyment for the both of them.
Dick continued to try and drive the jeep with one hand as he adjusted the gear. And now they were on their way going forward and out of the parking garaged. Dick was enjoying the silence of the moment as they were now leaving.
But when Kory spoke up and had a question. He tensed up again a bit over the subject. It was something he’d rather not get into. Something that was quite painful. Even though it had just happened that morning, he was eager to get moving on and over this as he was now with Kory. He was happy to be with her. But the new subject was unsettling for him.
” Like I said, there is no reason for me now,” Dick answered. He slightly pulled his hand away from her as he focused on the street as he drove.
He was silent as he maybe drove a block now. Dick was just a bit nervous. But he gave a sight. He knew he would have to answer her. He couldn’t just leave her in the dark over all this. But it wasn’t going to be easy to say it.
”You remember when Barbara had called,” Dick asked. But he waited for her to speak. He was a bit quite over this because of the matter.

"Did you have to be so sexy while doing it?"
Kory asked softly. Though was hardly a question more a statement. As her finger lightly traced over his hand. Her green eyes gazed to him. Looking at him up and down a little. It wasn't about to change. Smiling playfully at him. Recalling how the bumps of his skin grew at her touch. The colour at his cheeks. His breath upon her. All his emotions begged that was what he wanted and she was glad he did. Kory could feel the move of the car. It was nice now to finally be on their way. For a moment the silence was there. Kory enjoyed holding his hand. It felt rather like home. It also excited her. Kory had expected him to react somewhat concerned at her words, but maybe not as tense as she felt in her hand. She didn't want him to let go. Kory was just loving what was here, but was hoping to get a clearer idea as to what he was actually feeling. She could feel his emotions, but unsure what changed. Why? Did she do something wrong before? Kory didn't overly stare at him, but she kept her eyes on him.
Frowned a little at his words. Kory moved to tighten her hand a little. Whatever it was, she wouldn't judge him for it. Before her hand could, his pulled away slightly. He was trying to focus. Whether it was an excuse or real. Maybe both. Kory slid her hand down little. Rested upon his arm and gently caressed. Even if the car was still, she wasn't about to run.
"Dick. It's me. You don't have to hide from me. I'm just trying to understand your emotions."
It was hard to guess if she should expect they will change again, but with how he kissed her. How his eyes looked into hers. She was sure things weren't about to change. Even with his words that there was no reason. She did half smile. As her thumb gently ran across his skin. Felt his little hairs. A couple of bumps from when he tensed up. Her fingers ran over to help sooth them. With her words, she didn't want to push him. Not greatly, but this was her. She would love him no matter what and he knew that. He had to have known that by now. Smiling softly. Even with this tense silence. She was happy to be here with him. Then came a sigh. It was light he was opening up. She loved when he did. So she could see him a little brighter. She could see him working something up. She picked up her smile a little more to encourage him and caress with her hand.
"I do. Are you upset I didn't tell you? I'm sorry she said not to leave a message... Wait. Did something happen with her?"
Kory confessed. It was terrible lying to him and he had caught her. It ate at her the second she began. As asked him curiously if this was why he was worried. Though she guessed if he was upset over this, then maybe he wouldn't be here. Though then as she recoiled his words he had no reasons as he did last night. Kory had an idea as to what might have actually happened. Kory's hand at his arm then slid back to his hand to take. Kory could feel he had cared for her and she was a kind girl. Kory just couldn't recall him overly smiling and happy when talking about Babs. He had pulled Kory in last night. He was going with his emotions, while fighting with his head. Her eyes ran over him sweetly. Somehow now, she felt his heart was winning. Kory felt as the drive smoothed out. She encouraged his hand over. To motion it, in both her hands closer to her chest.

”Ok, so I leaned over to grab something. Big deal. But you are the one who grabbed me and pulled me in on it,” Dick replied.
A crooked smile on his face over the joking between them. He was just giving her a hard time since she had gotten back at him a bit about last night. How he had been the one to make the first move that night. He was truly the one who started this all between them again. Though who could blame him.
He loved the touch of her hand on his. But as he focused on the road and avoided her questioning. He still did not pull way from her touch on his arm. He wanted to be honest with Kory. But this was something that had hurt. And still did. But he was pushing it away to get over it.
”I know that Kory. But some times emotions aren’t easy to explain,” he snapped slightly in defense. He had never been in touch with his true emotions like she had with hers. And he found it difficult to explain this out at first.
He hadn’t meant to snap at her, but it did bother him. He just wanted to get over it and move on. Which he seemed to be doing pretty well up until this point. But he had seen this coming a mile a way.
Every the break up he had seen coming sooner or later between him and Barbara. He just wasn’t the type for a commitment. He could take a relationship serious, but as soon as more ideas came into someone’s head like marriage or something more, he’d start to back down.
Sure he had made the decision for him and Babs to live together. But that was to help her out in the first place. He didn’t want to see her having to struggle with living costs and school at the same time. And living together had worked out pretty well up until a point.
”I’m not upset with you at all. You did as she asked. Not leaving a message and not telling me. I would have been able to find out by looking up at the recent calls to see who had called any ways,” Dick replied to her.
He was silent for a moment over answering her next question. He wasn’t sure whether to prolong it or just say it. Half of him wanted to and the other half didn’t.
He glanced over at her for a moment. This eyes then going right back to the road as he drove the jeep. ”We broke up this morning,” Dick replied. No emotion to his tone. He laid it out there flat for her to now the truth now.

"Oh, you defiantly grabbed something, but what can I say. Your hard to resist… Next time, I won't be able to stop."
Falling a little more comfortable in her chair. Kory joked with Dick about what had just happened. Feeling the little bubble in her chest. This was lightening the mood which well. Had been quitted heated. Her green eyes played his thinking it cute, that he defiantly went to grab something. From the touch of his skin and the way he had looked at her. Everything in her body screamed it was her. She was the device he needed. Her eyes looked down to where their hands met. Perhaps his own GPS device for himself and in a way maybe he was hers. She defiantly felt she had come back home. The feel of his hand it was true he could be hard to resist. It wasn't entirely easy last night, but her emotions spoke to slow that even though her body wanted something else. Her hand then moving upon his arm. Giving him a look as next time. Which Kory knew was sooner or later, there be very lesser reasons to stop. From his words. From his actions and purely from his emotions. Kory was pleased to tell. He defiantly wanted this.
"I've missed your hands, amongst other things."
Soon came a smile upon her lips. The caress of her hand upon his arm. It felt wonderful. Opening up that in fact very much enjoyed his hands. It was maybe reason it was hard to resist. Maybe all of him. Softly giggling. This was too perfect. As they sped decently along the road. With Gotham nearing to being behind them. Her soft voice cut short at his silence. She could feel some sort of battle inside him. He was wanting to forget. Which was everything Kory would want, but bottling them up wasn't forgetting. Her eyes ran over him as his voice snapped at her. Jolting her very barely in her seat. She wished she could help him, but she knew the best thing was to simply be here, when he was ready. If he was ready. Kory just wanted him to be joyful. Happy again and she desired it would be with her in someway. Kory's hand deepened upon his arm. Trying to ease him. Comfort him.
"Dick… I understand. It can sometimes just take time."
Forgetting was also much like a fear. Something Kory saw one had to face in order to really move on. A little different that simply trying to run away from it. From what she could feel he had quite a lot running through his mind. Kory had faith he'd sort it out and eventually open up when he was ready. Kory was here for him. Her finger tracing and brushing his skin. It was also good to feel angry every now and then. As her eyes played at where his eye brows met. There her lips turned up a little brighter as he opened up about Barbara. It was at least a little less off his shoulders. Kory was pleased to hear he wasn't upset and that she had done the right decision. Even if she felt there was something off. 'Oh'. Kory mouthed as he spoke of the recent calls. She hadn't been overly updated with the mobiles phones these days… Kory for that moment didn't speak. With the caress of her hand, encouraged him to say what he wanted. What he needed. Almost smiled at his glance to her, but quickly left. Then his voice. His words. Hand let go lightly. Just fingertips. Her eyes looked over him deeply and between the road. ;Broken up'. Her hand then more feeling. Took to his hand, if she could maybe manage to bring it to her lap. To hold.
"Oh. I'm sorry. Do you miss her? Did you want to talk about it? I can assure you, Dick. We're gonna have a lot of fun today… "
That was rough she was sure, though honestly she was preferring him to be a free man. No at the expense of him getting hurt. Motioning if he'd allow his hand for this moment and allow her finger. Her hands to fumble around with his. Voice soft and curious as she asked. She was caring. Even though her heart thudded it be mostly her for him. He was her friend first. A little curious how much he might miss her. Offering him the option of telling her. Smiling with her eyes upon his. Beginning to understand what happened last night. He had wanted that Kory knew and still did in this car. Caress of her hands. Assuring him that there would be fun to be had. Best together. In which way together was tricky. One way was the hot tub. Kory smiled brightly and half winked at him

”At this rate we won’t be getting any where any time soon with all this,” Dick replied.
He meant that in two ways. Since they were now running later than they had planned to get on their way to New York. And with how it was going between them so far, he was just ending up a little frustrated over having to end things every time.
He had really missed spending time with Kory. And their idea of spending time together could mean a whole bunch of different meanings of hanging out together and such. It could be from just sitting and talking with each other to how they used to sneak away from everyone to get some alone time.
”I’m guess I know of the ‘amongst other things’,” Dick asked jokingly. But he let the subject drop for now.
His mind was set on the road now ahead of him in more than one way as he was driving and talking with Kory. He felt her hand upon him, but could not react as much as he would really want to since he needed to concentrate. Dick could only manage a glimpse over at her from time to him as he drove.
”In ways yes. But I can’t say that I didn’t seen this coming for some time,” Dick spoke up at first. His voice firm and not regret within his words.
”I know I was with her for some time and she is still one of my best friends, but like I said. This was coming sooner or later between us,” Dick started
He spoke a bit openly about what he had felt. This had shown more as to his reasons as to his actions the night before. And why he had not regretted it as much. And he had almost let it get to a point that he would have gotten further. But he knew it was wrong in his mind at the time.
But now he was free, and he planned on forgetting about what had happened that morning and move on. He knew Barbara was going to hate his guts for some time, but it was better sooner or later. But how he had gone out on it would probably sting with Barbara for some times.
In a way, Dick did feel bad about how it had ended. But he couldn’t take the pressure any more and having someone around he was constantly getting into fights with. It was almost like the same reason for leaving the Bat-family in the first place.
”Things happen. And you can‘t just be stuck on the what ifs and how it could have been fixed. I’ve seen people that had said they had spent their entire lives trying to fix something only to ware themselves out,” Dick replied.
He was pretty much living life in the fast lane and avoiding his feeling on the problem. And if being with Kory for the day would make him forget about his worries he would take that. And if doing more with Kory would help him forget faster, he‘d more than willingly go on with how things went.
Dick let his hand be guided by Kory’s. He did not pull away and he had no need for it to be on the steering wheel at the time. He gently gripped her hand back at times to show he did not mind and rather enjoyed the light contact between them. But he would allow her to take his hand at the time.
He glance over at her and saw the smile on her face and the wink she had given him. He tensed up, but not in a nervous way. It was rather in a knowing way of what she was getting at. His cheeks turned slightly red at the thought and knowing what she probably meant.

"You know what that means. We might need an extra day."
Kory remarked positively. Of course referring to the fact they needed to pack some of her things and fit in the amusement park. Some fun in the hot tub. It was questionable how long that would last. Then a trip to the tower. It wasn't as if one could easily drive to it, she'd probably have to fly them across. More time spent with him in New York was a plus. As Kory grinned. Trying to lift his spirits The possible extra time to see their friends, how could he say no to that? Though as her fingers traced his arm and her eyes watched him. They might just need a day to recover how ever the night might last. If it ever ends. Kory softly giggled under her breath. Before settling down in her seat. Yeah, this was going to be fun. Even this car ride was that calming feel despite the chemistry still ripely there.
"I would hope so! If not I best remind you tonight."
Humorously Kory responded to Dick's words. Giggling which consumed the car ever so slightly. Kory teased him about what could come, but not all she meant was purely physical. She greatly missed his heart. Even though a little cluttered she missed how he thought. The times he was comfortable to let her in, because he was that place she ran towards, never away from. Leaning her head back it was such a beautiful day. The sun just bright enough and all the green springing up. Her fingers circled the skin of his arm. Her eyes always returning. This was quite peaceful. Her eyes soon caught his lips move. Watched his eyes as he spoke of BABs. Smiling to comfort him along with the touch of her hand.
"It is a good thing if you can remain friends, she seems really sweet... To be honest I felt something off, you seemed at points on edge and then moments like last night, such happiness."
It was really something to hear Dick open up. Especially about Barbara. It was raw and fresh. Maybe awkward, but Kory didn't mind. She was sure on some level he would always love her, maybe just not in the way he wanted. As Kory kindly spoke how she admired they could still be friends. Though to hear that Dick had seen it coming or in such it sort of ran its course. Was making more sense for Kory. Just from seeing him from when she first saw him on her return until now. Kory felt his pulling last night. No regrets. She was sure. He felt stuck somehow before. Kory could only imagine this was maybe the same for Barbara. Kory listened in at his words. Finding herself oddly smiling and admiring his words. He really wanted to move on and leave the past in the past.
"Of course, one shouldn't live in the past, instead move on and live to find joy. You know, I knew you were wise, but I suddenly feel more attracted to you now... I do not know of these people you speak of, but we will never be them, even as friends. As there is nothing to fix... One day when your soul mate is revealed to you, you'll realise why it never worked out with anyone else."
Kory happily responded. Remarking amusingly the wisdom in his words. They sang very true to her tamaranean nature. Well, it was true he was seemingly more attractive, but it generally worked that way. As Kory grinned joyfully. Joy is what he needed. As she eyes him playfully. To feel alive as she felt last night. Kory was always amused when Dick referenced random people. Smiling kindly as she took his hand. There was nothing Kory was sure that they could really ever fix. There was nothing Kory could overcome. The last words was some random words Kory heard somewhere, it seemed a little fitting here. It kind of ran true for Kory, when she met Dick. She felt that rush of her heart, she knew he still loved her. She was patient to find out just how much. They were still so young and there was plenty of time.
Ok, so it was hardly easy to contain, but Kory giggled just that little bit as Dick gripped her hand. After she took his into her lap. As if she could cuddle it, let it sooth her. It was comforting. She was happy to get the vibe it was comforting for him. Before he tensed and blushed at her wink. Causing a little bubble up laugh at his reaction. He was too cute still. Raising his hand with her own a little, so she may plant her lips gently on his lips. There was going to be a lot of fun and games, but Kory was sure with a lot of heart and purpose... Where had the world gone? As Gotham was vastly out of sight. New York ever closer. Kory could almost smell the Cotton Candy. Kory sure loved the silence with him, but it needed a vibe to help start the real fun. Kory remained a nice hold of his hand with fingers entwined. Her other hand searched for the radio and switched it on. Keeping a decent volume.
"I hope you don't mind! Oooh, I love this song."
Kory politely remarked to him, as the song changed to something Kory liked. In fact it wasn't entirely new, but new enough having been away for the length she had been. As Katy Perry's song 'Firework' came on. It seemed perfectly fitting. As Kory's face lit up. It sure help jet them into New York. Kory gently turned the volume up slightly more. Her hand still holding his, but loosened. As she bubbly sang along. 'Do you know that there's still a chance for you, 'Cause there's a spark in you' It felt up lifting as Kory bobbed along. Enjoying it. As it got to the chorus. Kory picked up her voice a little more with a buzz.'Cause baby you're a firework, Come on, show 'em what you're worth'. Not an overly brilliant voice, but defiantly one of enjoyment. Her green eyes escaped to him as she sang and smiled within the words. Her cheeks were a little blushed, but she was in no ways nervous. She was excited. Not that it was hard to tell.

”I guess we’ll just have to play it by ear for the time being,” Dick replied to her. He caught some of what she mean and understood in other ways.
Some time to relax and see his friends might do him some good. The whole solo thing was going well, but There was always a part of Nightwing that would make him a team player and a leader. It was just a part of him. He wasn’t as antisocial as the Batman was.
”We’ll just have to keep track though. I can’t just skip out of town for several days without a word to anyone,” he said. ”And right now, this isn’t something everyone needs to know what we are doing.”
Dick was quiet for a moment as he focused on the road. Though he was paying attention to Kory as well. It was a bit difficult to juggle between the two at time as he wanted to be with her at the time. But he needed to pay attention to the road.
”Well the whole friend thing is going to be one sided for a while it seems. It didn’t exactly go over well with how it had ended. But guess I’ll just have to ride it out as it is,” Dick spoke of part of the conversation he had with Babs.
Dick glanced over at Kory as she spoke so openly. She had got him to open up and get him out of his mood quite a bit that morning so far. And right now he was more focused on having some fun with her in more ways than one. But the fair was going to be enjoyable. He couldn’t remember the last time he had gone to a fair.
”Well I don’t think I’ll be settling down any time soon. I’ve got plenty of time to think about that in the future,” Dick replied honestly. He just wasn’t the type to get tied down for too long. He was uncomfortable being pressured into situations. And some of his past relationships had ended when one side started getting too serious about what they would be doing together after they graduated high school. Dick could probably recall at least two girlfriends that he had one out with for about four months or so, and they started daydreaming too much he thought.
Dick let her take his hand. He didn’t mind. I wasn’t having any trouble at the time driving. But when she turned on the radio, he smiled at her over he enjoying the song that was on.
He knew Kory had fun doing this kind of stuff. It wasn’t unlike her to be singing at the top of her lungs when she wanted to and to have some fun.
Dick chuckled a bit at the sight of her waving her arms as she song. She was a little of on tune, but not to the point that it would drive someone crazy. And he rather liked the entertainment he was getting out of her through out this drive.
He glanced at the GPS and saw that they didn’t have much further to go until they hit New York.
”I take it you’ll be playing the music all the way into the heart of New York,” he said jokingly, but not minding it at all.

Through time and space it seemed as they drove along the smooth, just slightly bumpy road to New York. Spring was set with the beautiful glow of the sun. As Kory fiddled to fit her sunglass before her hand tousled into her red locks. Feeling her body relax into the seat. Waiting for however this day was to come. However this ride would unwind. Her lips curling into a smile with the gentle flush of her cheeks as Dick spoke. She knew it was asking to much, but she was only seeking for the hope right about now and perhaps he knew it. As he slipped the chance from his tongue... Almost. Just faintly Kory rolled her bottom lip between her teeth as she hoped whatever this was, would never end. Though she was thankful for whatever she could get. As she settled into what was. Re-forming her smile as Dick rolled the words and Kory smiled to Dick warmingly and understandingly. There was a world that needed them. It seemed however much one fought for peace, it seemed only temporary, but always worth fighting for. Kory's fingers caressed at the touch. Even though Kory couldn't quite understand why others needed not know about this. As Kory didn't see how there was anything wrong, but she knew to trust Dick's words. So she would hold her tongue, for now.
"Sure thing, Dick. There's no rush, we'll feel it out... It's between us, just relax. The world hasn't stopped, it moves just as much in New York... Maybe more! If anyone ask, we'll just tell them it was Titan business."
Kory calmly spoke as her hand motion more at the touch. Assuring him they would return to Gotham soon. As Kory wasn't so much a believer in forever as such, more in time. She didn't so much care to think of the start or the end. Just go along with it. Kory was sure she could get him to relax. The concerns would be here when he got back, perhaps resolved after his head was cleared. Kory half smiled and shrugged. Who knew. Mildly joking. Pointing out that the world literally wasn't going to stop. Her fingers traced the back of his hand. Not to take to much attention from his eyes from the road. Kory did offer a simple amusing wink at her words 'maybe more!' Just a means to stir him a little in fun. Before Kory's smile brightened a little more. Before straightening out to mention if anyone was to ask. After all titan business wasn't a lie.
"Just give her time, Dick."
The words settled sweetly from Kory's lips. Upon listening about the friendship with Barbara. Friendship wasn't something Kory believed could really ever die, but she was sure time was all he could probably do or give. As her fingers traced his skin. Happy to be sharing what they could. To have Dick open up just enough, it was a start. Getting it off his chest and off his back, at least what ever she could. Settling into her seating. Thinking she could almost trace the building at the horizon when her eyes weren't tracing him.
"Of course, I didn't say which day. You are still so young... "
Pointing out innocently and playfully. Before Kory offered a sweet smile. As she couldn't agree more to his words. Well, only he jumped more to the settling down part. Kory had simply mentioned when a time maybe come when he realised his certain someone. There was no need to question he wasn't ready... She wasn't ready either. Why push something, that didn't need it. If it was going to get there, then Kory was sure it will with little guidance. Taking his hand a little more into a hold. Kory could feel him. Dick was here now and that was enough for now. Kory in truth could only guess at what really was going to happen in New York, which made it more exciting. Home. It was almost wondrous how ever inch it felt like coming back home, of some sort. Kory's eyes already caught familiar things. A certain house. A recognisable curve in the road. It was like that little drum roll. Upon turning the music on and the volume at a decent level. It sure helped the vibe. Even relaxed her and Kory hardly was the tense type or at least not for long. As sang along, almost danced what she could as she sat and held his hand. Felt the pulse in his jump a little. Kory was not swayed knowing full well he was enjoying this sight and watching her. It caused the faint colour of her cheeks, she did not stop and felt the rise in her chest. As inch by inch it was bringing the city closer and along with Titan's tower. Recalling it was always pleasant place to watch the fireworks. Which caused a little more lose within the song, bopping her head along. Offering a smile as he chuckled. Joy was very much in the air and there was a roller coaster Kory had in mind to strap him to, but she wasn't sure he'd be entirely laughing then more holding his breath. Which made her laugh a little between verses.
"It'll help set the mood, don't worry there'll be dancing later... If this is a cd, I think we had Bruce all wrong... Maybe next trip we take him to Disneyland."
Kory joyfully remarked at him joking to her. Hinting there be dancing later he can join in as Kory knew how much he loved to dance or was it more she liked to watch him. Either way she offered him a smile. Sing through the song. Another song popped up from Katy Perry and Kory had mostly pressed at buttons. Assuming it was the radio, she couldn't help wonder if it was a cd. Probably just double on the radio, though made Kory double take if this was Bruce's taste in music. Highly unlikely. Though she couldn't help imagine him in Disneyland, not so much making fun of him. Though there was something in picturing the big black bat in the Small world cave, with puppet children around him. Could almost be sweet, but Kory was just also rambling thoughts to ease Dick's mind if not amuse him in some way. As the beat flooded the car so did her voice to Teenage Dream. As New York seemed even closer if not surround them and it wasn't so much a dream, but it was bitter sweet. As if coming back home.

”I’m not so worried about that. I’m sure I’ll be fine with everything going on. And I’m sure no one will ask any questions. For all they know it is just a short trip,” he said.
He was happy to just get away and spend time with her. He did need the break. Everything had been crazy lately. And Kory would give him that chance to relax.
”We’ll see,” he responded on the subject of Barbara.
He let the subject drop at that. He wasn’t interested in saying anything about her much more. Dick was willing to drop it for now to just move on. The change in conversation was welcomed.
”That’s a good thing. Put deadlines on something and some people may not respond well to something like that,” he spoke.
Dick kept watching the road as they talked.
”I’m sure there will be. And trust me it’s the radio. If that were a cd, I’d have to rethink everything I knew about Bruce. And if he were at Disneyland and arrived as himself, they’d turn him away at the gates for fear of him upsetting the other visitors since he is always so gloomy,” he said jokingly.
He knew Bruce would never do anything like that. Besides Bruce Wayne wasn’t gloomy in public. And he knew it would never happen in a million years.
As they drove, the city finally came into view. It wouldn’t take too much longer to actually get to Kory’s place. And he knew the way there like he had just driven there the other day.
”Not much longer and we will be at your place,” Dick said.

"A well deserved trip... Already it seems more peaceful. Don't you feel?"
There was the glimmer in Dick's eyes, at his words. See the joy brim to the surface. Just enough. Kory still at his touch as she responded to his words. She knew everything will be fine and if not, it was just her way to make it work. This wasn't just a trip. This was going back home, in another way. It had been awhile and as they city grew close, the more her joy grew. Along with her smile. Tightening her grip just to enough, hoping Dick was feeling it. As her heart silently raced. Letting out a breath and settled within this ride. As if even trying Kory couldn't work up any concerns. She was with Dick and the chance to visit their friends. Their family. It was. It was hard to render how caught up she was inside. Just hint of a joy tear in the corner of her eye.
Her eyes blinked it happily, as she looked to him as he dropping the subject. At least it was off his shoulders on any level, but if there still closing wounds. Or anything. Then Kory was here when he was ready, but she knew from the touch of his lips earlier. He was also ready to move on. Her hand on the back of his coiled at his fingers. Smiled brightly to him as she also nodded. Almost blushing at her cheeks. As every look to him was making her realise he wasn't going anywhere, soon anyways. Letting a deeper smile with a silent laugh at his response to her words. Kory after all quite liked how he danced. Dick was filling her up with hope and she appreciated that. Her silent laugh, then grew a slight volume at the thoughts of Bruce. Kory was quite open minded about most things, but yes even that would defiantly surprise her. Even slightly shaking her head at the thought.
"Yeah, your probably right. He doesn't really come across as someone who plays fair, though I am sure Bruce has a soft side somewhere... He probably just hides it well."
Kory jokingly responded to Dick's words. As if they were both picturing Batman at Disney with the children. Suddenly the spinning tea cups, might get a little out of control. It was just one small leap from Batman on the Ferris Wheel. Was kind of an odd and slightly sweet idea, if he was patient enough that is. Kory sure somewhere beneath the black was some sign of another colour. Maybe not as colourful as Dick can be, but that was different. He was a different man. As Kory playfully at the thought coiled more at his fingers. Finding her place at his warmth. As with the warmth in his voice as he spoke and Kory turned her eyes away from him to see the familiar road bringing them almost in the heart of the city. Home. As if suddenly it made the sun shine a little brighter. Her eyes beamed to catch the familiar shapes of the city. WIth her other hand motioned to wind down. Letting in the fresh air and the also familiar sounds of New York.
"Hmmm. It defiantly smells and feels like New York... Home!"
Referring to what she felt and smelt from the spring breeze. It was just that nice cooling feel. It was quite beautiful in spring and summer. As her cheeks glowed with a never ending smile. With her hand more mildly in his hand, but still very much in the know that she was here with him. It seemed once they got a look of the city, the quicker they became within the city. As her eyes skimmed lightly over familiar sights. There hadn't been much they hadn't covered when they lived here. Protecting the city if not exploring it, with any spare time they were given. Most of them in summer was spent by the Titan pool if not by the beach, sunbathing. Kory's skin was already like a tan, so it just made it glow more golden like. She lost count the many times watching Dick and Donna dive. Then in her pause in her words. They passed over an island. A very very familiar island. Just in the distance. With the large T shaped tower. As if little had changed. Smiled softly as she had called it 'Home'. Before returning her gaze and her attention back to Dick. As she properly moved to hold his hand. Just seemed the right moment.
"Oh, Dick. I've missed this. I'm so glad we came."
She had come to move on as good as he could when she left and went to Tamaran, but realising now. There was something about it all she did miss, but smiling as she no longer had to miss it. Or even forget it. Her green eyes upon quite large reason it had become home and happy she didn't feel so alone.
