With some swirl of her straw in her drink and taking a few sips. Not too many to seem rude as Kory listened to Dick's words. Smiling softly as he began, not an overall joyful smile, just more of understanding. She pretty much guessed it be his answer, of course she always hoped he may answer a little different, but he didn't seem completely unhappy on her return. Her eyes half nearly frowned. She did not like Dick to get hurt. She knew him well at how much he would push himself, she was more frowning that Bruce was seeming to encourage it, which wasn't overly surprising, but still. Kory could see the need for Dick to get his strength back, but she could guess it was pushing more than that. Kory wanted to find those right words. To comfort him. Her hand at his arm before slipping up to his hair, made way to his hand. To hold it with some firmness. With the look in his eyes, she knew he could still recall what ever Joker did to him. Kory knew it wouldn't leave him.
"It half sounds you haven't exactly been living... But it is never too late to start sunbathing... You need a little colour." It wasn't maybe not what Dick wanted to hear, but Kory kept it quick. She just was being honest from what it seemed to her. He seemed he was just more present. Putting so much on the definition of work. That Kory couldn't see a great deal of joy. Even herself would have fallen slightly depressed. Not that everything was overly bad for him. Kory could admire how much he gave. Something not lot seemed to give him credit for. Kory smiled softly as not to seem negative about. Whether not that was where he was at, he didn't need to be now. As with her hand caressed to comfort him. It made her day to see him smile. X'hal to even laugh. Joking softly about his colour, giving him a playful look. In the hopes he may laugh. Cheer him up. Not that she minded about his colour, seeing as its coming from the chick with the orange skin. Then the moment he spoke and smiled one again. She lightly looked down with a sweet smile. Felt that little fuzzy feeling again. Playfully she caught the missing pieces from the corner of his mouth. Happily taking them.
"Oh what? How does yours taste better than mine?... See now that's good."
Kory was kidding of course, there wasn't much different, although maybe it half tasted like him. Not that Kory was weird like that. Still she was kidding. As she playfully looked shocked. Her hand upon his cheek, moving more towards his smile. It was uplifting to see. To even feel as she commented that was also good. A very good thing. Not that she was trying to push the smiles of course, the cute things wasn't overly his thing. Being surrounded. To be fair Kory was having most of the fun because someone was here with her, it probably wouldn't be the same on her own. Kory couldn't think a better way to spend her days than with people that cared about her. That she cared about. Her friends. Maybe it was half down she was afraid to actually be alone, was where she might be a little different than Dick. Although Kory wasn't so convinced that Dick so much wanted to be alone. It was maybe more what he thought he was afraid, afraid he'll get them hurt, because she could quite easily recall him enjoying the times spent with their friends. With the silence, Kory could see his mind working. Looking around the carnival. It did remind Kory of the Circus and she could tell it rendered something similar in Dick's mind. Maybe not the same, but possibly similar ambitions. Her eyes ran over his lips, as if they slightly trembled.
"Are you reminded of the Circus? It does for me, too."
Kory simply asked, offering him the chance if he wanted to talk about it. She knew it held a hard place for him, but from all the times before. Kory also knew it held some of the happiest memories for him. Just as Kory respected her past, she could also respect his own. The circus was much like Tamaran for Kory, it was her whole world and she was forced from it at such a young age. Her smile brightened at Dick mentioning their friends. They did say they'd try to get here, which yes they probably would be here. Oh, it had been so long since the group had been together and in a place like this. They weren't exactly teens anymore, but they were still able to have fun as friends. A family. Kory laughed softly joyful at the thought. A gentle sigh, as it made her very much at home kind of feeling.
"I thought I saw something green flying around, if not it won't take him long... I've actually quite missed that... You know their going to suggest we rejoin..."
Kory lightly joked, she was surprised Garth was already on her tail. Perhaps he was. Sure she didn't how heed to his most of his words, but he was still a great friend. When it came to it, he could be really sweet and really quite funny. Though sadly for him it would only be friendship, but as with all titans she did give plenty of love towards. Smiling softly as Kory knew there be a point maybe more when one or few of the titans may ask them back. Kory had already been asked more than once. She wasn't completely feeling no to the idea, but she wasn't sure it be the same without Dick. Plus Gotham wasn't completely a bad city. It needed an extra hand and Kory was enjoying discovering the friendship between herself and Dick.
Kory was impressed he ate the whole apple, it was very nice to see. Didn't take her long to finish of hers and go through her drink to keep her refreshed. Kory eyed Dick playfully as he spoke. He was defiantly on his way to enjoying himself, maybe a little too much Kory thought jokingly. No there could never truly be enough not for him. Half rolling his eyes, knowing he'd probably up and flown away by now if he knew of some serious matter that needed attention towards. Kory herself wasn't so easily scared. She had seen the horrors of the universe. Races more brutal then humans. Though she did like the idea of it being spooky kind of joy. Smiled as he agreed then frowned as he mentioned the mirrors. She didn't understand. What was scary about them?
"How in X'hal were the mirrors spooky? I am for one looking forward to this trying to scare me..."
Kory asked with a slight attitude in her voice, but she was joking. As Dick was making a clear point they weren't going to the mirrors. Though she couldn't quite figure out how he was scared by them. The reflections seemed good. Kory smiled again she was open minded to this spooky kind of ride. Yeah she could get her goosebumps raised in these human ways of scary people, but Kory also knew how to fight true fear. Kory walked through the carnival and joined Dick up the steps. Why with these things it suddenly sends your pulse racing? Kory was feeling something and she sure enjoyed anything that could make her feel. Getting closer and suddenly sounds came from different directions. Half wondering why is Wulfen here and she couldn't see him. Wondering what was funny and then a little creeped out as to why someone was screaming. Kory went along with it. Her hand went to Dick's, just in case there was some sick trick and she ended up on another side without him. Kory had seen that happen before. Well different, but it can happen.
"Don't step to close to the glass."
Going through the doorway and half winked to Dick as she spoke well if he could see her that well it is. There was a decent line of people. Some children, that not all looked scared yet. There were already things popping out. The creepy music flowed through. As they entered a room they all cramped into. With that deep evil laugh as soon the door shut and it was apparent they might not being getting out any time soon or very slim chances alive. Kory was softly laughing here and there at how she could feel spooked. Soon the room fell black. Kory was wondering where was the window, because a cold rush of air was coming through. With echoes of voices, the room left into a line as they moved to the seats for the actual ride. With the slight extra thud of her heart, but also excited. This was fun. Well so far. As Kory slipped in the chair, with her hand still very much on Dick's.
It started of cool. Slow. The casual thing. Darkness. Then spooky things started to happen. Of ghosts. Jumping out. Objects moving. Even skeletons. Which Kory was wondering how would one function without ones organs, but she knew that was beside the point. She had seen the strange things very much a live, but a skeleton. There came interaction part it seemed. The feel of almost cobwebs. That could be enough to raise the goosebumps. Weird soft things brushed by. Kory wasn't feeling overly comfortable about that. There somewhere came the feel of hands. Just in random places.
"Dick, when did you grow extra appendages?"
Kory asked though she knew that answer. The not seeing made it a little harder. Sitting back in her chair. Her other hand not half killing Dick's hand with firmness. Clawed a little in the chair. As her chest rose. Reminded of the many times she had many hands upon her. All random. Hardly ever the same. Forcing her. Torturing her. Recalling how she was locked up. It wasn't always dark, but many times went by when she was in darkness. The feeling of suppression and loneliness. Kory breathed deeply. As another hand touched her, it was more just a reflex that she went for it. When she does fear something she will stand up to it. She did not succumb to the slavery then and she wouldn't repeat. Not now. Not ever. As a scream came, but it was partially muffled by all the other sounds. Kory grew more comfortable again, though kept her silence for now. She was happy Dick was here. As eventually they saw daylight again as the ride would come to an end. There was a slight loss in her colour, but it wouldn't take her long. Catching the tear that escaped. Not ashamed, but she hadn't expected that. As her chest began to slow to something more comfortable.

"Hey, I'm living every time I jump off a building and am free falling to be honest," he said with a smile to her.
That was possible one of the best feelings in the world when it came to this type of work. He always enjoyed his patrols when he had some free time to just have some time to just do his acrobatics like the old times.
He looked over at her and gave her an insulted look almost. Though in a joking way. "Hey, I am Romani. I can tan a bit, but there is no way I'll get much of a tan," Dick replied. His body did have a bit of a tanner complexion compared to most. But still being out at night most of the time had given it a more pale skin tone to it.
"And no, I'm sure they are the same," he said about the candied apple.
His mind was in fact on the circus. And he wasn't really surprised that Kory had taken to it and picked up on his mood.
"No, it's fine," Dick replied, "I mean it is close in ways, but there are differences between carnivals and the circus. Especially with all these rides around. We didn't have that type of a set up."
He walked along with her as she talked about their friends. Going on about possible running into them. "And for me the answer will be no," Dick replied. "Not that I didn't enjoy the time with everyone, but I need some time to go solo for a while."
"And as for the mirrors. It's not the mirrors. It's the fact you intentionally kept us lost in there last time until sunset when you knew I wanted to get an earlier start to a patrol that night," he said in his defense. But not in away to start a fight.
He let her stay close to him as they got onto the ride. Though nothing scared him through the ride as they got into the carts to go around. But he could tell something was up with Kory. She was clinging to him tighter and she was tense.
"I didn't. It's just the ride," he reassured her on it being the ride.
He wasn't exactly sure what was running through her head at that time. There were a few things that could be running around in there. But he didn't want to bring it up. He'd stay by her side.
As the ride came to an end and they climbed out of it, Dick looked over at her. He could tell something was up. She was trying to stay strong. And as they got to the exit and outside the ride. Dick led her back toward the back of some of the game tents for a moment.
"Are you alright, Kor? You look a little drained," Dick replied with concern over her current state.

Kory sat a little blinking at Dick's words. Falling from a building to feel alive? Kory half questioned. Had she not known his meaning she would worried. Smiling well that was working on her. Kory amusingly shook her head. Her eyes played between his own and her drink. She knew how could enjoy work, but she knew he knew what she meant. Not entirely not living, but not as much as Kory knew he could.
"You know that's not what I meant, Dick. But your living now. Right? Even though your not Jumping and Falling from a building."
Kory said simply. Knowing it wasn't the greatest time, but Dick knew she cared about him. She was merely pointing out what she felt, but she knew him well enough that he could very much be happy if he allowed himself the chance. He was deserving of it. Her voice softened as she asked about right now. With a smile she was sure she knew the answer, After all she knew he was more relaxed. As she kindly eyed him. Before making a point to repeat his words back to him. Her voice heightened at the certain words. He was lucky she knew what happened after the falling part. Of him swinging of place to place. He was quite beautiful to watch, Kory wasn't sure she was as graceful when she flew. Her eyes played down more innocent like as Dick gave her his amusing insulted look. Oddly enough he looked handsome with his more serious expressions. Then it was sometimes hard for Kory not to smile. She couldn't hold it back. Almost 'Awwwing' him as he spoke about his lack of tanning ability. Though it was true he had slightly darker complexion from pale, but it was easy to tell when he'd seen more night than day. Kory's hand played at his arm.
"You do know I couldn't be more attracted to you... But won't stop us from trying to get you tanned. You know I always had fun"
Kory simply stated. Offering a warm smile. Playfully adding they could try to get him tanned. She half sighed and stretched. It was always relaxing sunbathing. Fun when it came to putting lotion on as Kory insisted. She after all didn't want him to burn real bad. Kory took Dick's word on the apples, though it was good to know he still had a sweet tooth. Smiling softly. Half rested her chin upon the back of her hand as Dick replied to her mentioning the Circus. She liked listening to him. Especially about the circus. He might not realise it, but there was almost a joy to his eyes as he recalled the Circus. It was really sweet to see. It was probably much how Kory was the many times she had told him about Tamaran. It is just anything, it was the places they grew up in. Still very much a part of them. Easily seen in the way Dick fought, a part it would always be with him. It wasn't something Kory would encourage to simply forget.
"I think it is good its reminding you, especially of the joy it brought you... And look we are enjoying ourselves, are we not? "
Kory spoke comfortingly. The carnival might not be the Circus, but she was hoping it was giving him the good vibes the Circus had. She was always fascinated when he told her about the Circus. It was a lot like the many times trying to explain Tamaran to him. But it was important to him. Kory always wondered what his family would have been like, but she was sure she hadn't the need to look too far. Soon walking along side him casually. It was a great feeling. She slightly churned at his words, but kept it to herself. Nodding. She understood.
"Of course, but your not completely no to it forever?"
Kory happily went with his need to go on his own, but at his words. She smiled as he sounded hopefully that he might return one day, even if it was some time away from now. Kory questioned to be sure that's what he meant. Though she couldn't deny she liked seeing Dick in the position that he was becoming in. Standing more on his own.
"Then I apologise. I thought we were having fun. Are you going to hold it over my head? Because that might be a lifetime of bad luck."
Mostly apologising for he seemed up set over what had happened. She had simply thought it was fun. It was s very quiet place. Times like that didn't happen a whole lot, so Kory embraced it. Herself not wishing to fight over it, she would suspect they would be passed it, but she didn't want him still upset over it. Kory lightly remarked if he was going to hold it over her head, as mirrors could be very bad luck if broken from what she's heard. Kory softly eyed him and smiled innocently. Moving with him through the Haunted House and hoped in the carts. It wasn't so much the ride scared her. What she was reminded of, was far more scary. Hearing Dick's voice in the dark assured her, but somehow she was unable to shake her past from haunting her in odd ways. She would never be weak again. As her hand grabbed at the hand. The faint sound of bones crumbled. It wasn't her scream that had echoed. For a moment she let her anger go. Sitting back she regained her senses. Though she wasn't entirely sure what had happened either. The ride finally came to an end. Kory faint took to her feet. Shaking her head as images of what she saw was still flashing a little in her mind. Kory could feel Dick's eyes. His concern. Nothing spoke yet. What could Kory say that would make much sense to either of them? The more life around them they saw, the more calm Kory was getting. Soon finding Dick had led her. Somewhere behind some tents. Kory was guessing for different reasons than last time. Kory took in his words. Her hand motioning for his own.
"I'll be fine... It just brought back some memories from before, maybe with everything thats happened recently, I don't know."
Kory sweetly assured him of. That she would be fun. Though she would be honest in telling him what had happened, only why. She wasn't entirely sure of. Her eyes were a little unsettled upon his as she said that, but she at least was trying to understand it. Admitting to Dick that she didn't know and truly that didn't scare her. She wouldn't be able to forget it truly, but she knew she needed to be strong. Look to where she was now. She couldn't allow herself to live there. Her eyes focusing in Dick more, she wanted to be here. He was one of very few that knew the details. There was plenty more she never did tell him about and probably never would. Running her hand through her hair as regained more of herself. Coming to the sounds of children laughter instead of screams. The cheerful music. The colours. As she looked around. Kory smiled warmly to Dick.
"Dick, I'm ready to move on."
Kory calmly spoke meaning they could return to the fun, in fact she defiantly needed it more now. Especially with him, somehow and in someway he gave her peace.

"Hey, I'm walkin' aren't I? I'd call that living," Dick said not really answering her question. Even though he knew what she meant by 'living'. Though he'd rather joke around a bit. It'd show her he was at least trying to have a good time. He did enjoy going out. And the last few days had been rough.
Correction the last few months. Something he was not inclined to go into detail with how much of a pain it was to have to actually explain about it all. Something he'd rather at points just have it left alone.
"Ha, that's if you can drag me out of bed long enough or my training to actually get some down time to tan," Dick said, a smirk on his face at the comment. She knew she'd be the one able to get him up and probably do what she wanted. Though between the night work, trying to sleep, and working towards a career, it could be hard to get the time to fully relax.
And for someone who had so much money it seemed career that he was actually taking the time to start a career rather than just invest in something. But that was the thing about Dick, he didn't just like to sit back and relax like most of the wealthy did in most of Gotham at times. He liked to take action and be a part of what was going on around him.
Though he was more of a behind the scene type of guy. He didn't need all of the attention all the time. He was just doing his part. Besides if he really wanted attention, all he would have to do is say who Nightwing really was. Which was never likely to happen in a million years.
"And yes, we're having fun. Never said we weren't. As for the no...I'll say it as long as I mean it,"[/color] Dick said. "Sometimes you learn best on your own. But that doesn't mean that some things might change that at some point. Seems the old saying of never say never is always right at times though."
"And no, I won't. It's just funny to see you get concerned over whether I had fun or not," he said jokingly.
After walking for sometime and getting on the ride. Things were slightly silence between the two and the ride was as well besides the occasional questions. But he was concerned for her on the ride. He knew enough of her past and enough of her to know when she was tense. And she had seemed in during and after the ride.
"Don't worry about it. They call it the past for a reason. And that was just a ride. I understand," Dick replied calmly to her worries. He fully knew well what that could be like.
"Alright," Dick said. He walked along with her. Looking around at the rides and attractions around them. So much for them to do.
"How about the fun house? That might cheer you up a bit. With all the odd obstacles and stuff," Dick replied.

It was enough. Kory softly smiled hearing Dick's words about living. Least what he called living. He defiant;y was trying, that was more than enough. Nodded sweetly to him. He was trying to live. To move on. He was here with Kory at the carnival. In New York. Things could be far worse. The pain was hopefully for him behind him. Softly laughed. Her green eyes playfully dropped, before regaining to his own. At his response of getting him to tan. It certainly didn't take much for her to easily envision Dick very much a sleep in bed with the daylight outside or his lengthy time in the gym. Though Kory could also envision him on the relaxing chair outside and catching the sun.
"Are you doubting my strength?"
Kory eyed him playfully as she asked him. The question would she drag him was another thing entirely. Was a capable? Of course. Smiled kindly. When had she ever had trouble carrying him before. Or simply lifting him. Laughing softly. It wasn't so much what Kory wanted. On some level she was sure Dick wanted to relax just as much. The feeling he shouldn't was generally what stopped him. Then really who didn't like relaxation? Regardless of wealth. There was no price on sunlight. There was no price on joy. There was varies ways to enjoy life freely. Life was free. Not as much on Earth it seemed than Tamaran was.
Smiled up at Dick as it was defiantly clear they were having fun. No it wasn't money that gave that, it was defiantly the company. Brightened up to hear the chances of returning to the Titans wasn't completely out of reach. They were family for the most part. You didn't want to stay away forever. Listening sweetly as Dick spoke on about being on ones own. Not really understanding the saying so much. Did one not see what they had just said? Shaking her in slight amusement.
"That is true... Yet you just said never! I suppose you mean leave it up to chance."
Humans did have a way of saying something and not acting upon it. Not accepting to what they had actually said. What they truly feel. As Kory pointed out the flaw in his saying, well more what was confusing about it. Kory certainly didn't mind what it meant. Her smile widened as Dick wouldn't hold it over her head. Have swiping her hand across her forehead playfully, relieved there wasn't going to be all the bad luck. Laughing as Dick joked. Yes. She was a little bit.
"Not so much concern, just assuring that you are... I am tamaranean, joy is a big part of what we live for."
Kory kindly expressed back with amusing smile. Not so much concerned, she knew he could have fun. It was mostly assuring that he was allowing himself to it. Innocently defending her joyful nature, not that it needed defending. Guess in her way of using the saying 'I'm only human' Playfully smiled to him. She could maybe change to the ways of humans, but somethings probably wouldn't change so easily for her.
Just with all that said. Getting off the haunted house, Kory had oddly experienced the more lack of joy and no tamaraneans didn't exactly like that feeling. Which could on time result in a higher temper. Or in this case a little flustered. Of course the regaining joy was never far away. As Kory was collecting her centres. With Dick's words, Kory felt calmer. She shouldn't of let it effect her not in such a way, but it did happen on rare moments. With also the fact tamaraneans let go of her emotions, not so much control, it came all on its own. It defiantly wasn't an easy past, but Kory was determined as she was when she was captured. She would be strong again. Not just physically.
"It wasn't the ride, Dick..."
Kory smiled. Her hand reached for his. The fact he was here, was helping. She wasn't alone. He was sweet in his words. She agreed it was just a ride. Her eyes kindly looked over him assuring him it hadn't really anything to do with the ride. Sometimes things can just trigger old emotions or memories. Had that ride truly been her past, things would have been different. A haunted house was nothing compared to the true horrors of the Citdel. It was hard to really know which was more brutal. At the hands of the Citadel themselves or at the hands of her own sister. Kory breathed. With Dick spoke and then walked along side her again. She wouldn't let it control her life nor her emotions like this. She had to find respect for the past, but a lot was so painful it was best left forgotten. At least she tried. With the laughter and colours again. The sun was on the way out, but just enough golden light left. Moved closer just a little. Reminded her she was home. She felt a little pale still, but she was defiantly feeling peaceful again. Not really in a direction. Happy fall in a path with him, wherever it may lead. Though her cheeks formed happily in a smile. As Dick made his attempts to make her feel better. It was very sweet. In fact him alone had cheered her up more than he might ever know. Though this fun house, defiantly sounded fun.
"I would love that. It sounds like fun... Oh, but first."
Kory responded happily that she would defiantly be up for that. With a name like that, one would expect it to be fun as Kory beamed to him. Before falling to a comfortable distance beside him as they walked. Even more smiling to the fact this had been Dick's choice, so maybe tables were turning. Oh, but wait. Kory stopped shortly to a pretty booth nearby. Smiled to Dick as she pointed to the kissing booth. It was for charity and something spoke to her that this could defiantly cheer her up. Kory looked to Dick, see if he was up for it.

Dick looked at Kory wondering what she was getting up to. He followed her lead for a while. Not exactly sure what she had in mind.
Typically there was someone sitting at the booth your paid to give you a kiss. It was all for charity, but he wondered what Kory had in mind.
"You're not planning on volunteering for that are you," he asked her.
A bit more of his protective/jealous side showing. Not he would stop her if she really wanted to do it for charity. But he wouldn't enjoy seeing this one bit.
Then again he could be completely wrong on his idea and thoughts. And he hoped so. Sometimes it was just hard to understand where Kory was heading with these things. Besides her maybe giving money and someone kissing her.
"After this lets keep moving then," he asked in a way.

It really was cute and quaint. It wasn't a large booth, but it was going with the theme. Little love hearts. Glitter. Pink. Red. Kory could smell the sweet flowers. There was a man behind it. Not very old. Nice enough looking. Kory's hand took a gentle hold of Dick's hand as he followed. There was a small line, before them. As Kory pleasantly waited. Half breathing on her palm. Her breath was good. Ooh, no signs of the carmel apple around her lips. She was good. Suddenly felt her chest tighten. Yes she was suddenly more joyful again. Her green eyes spotted the girl also at the booth. Taking photos. Polaroids. Great, Kory thought. She could have something to remember this by. This kiss. This day. Her first photo since being back on earth, the model photos didn't count. The real photos. Kory looked to Dick as he spoke. She giggled. Shook her head. She wasn't going to offer up her lips for service.
"Well… It can help the language barrier… But, no… I came for the fun of the Carnival…"
Kory sarcastically began with her words. Joking. Who knew what language she could learn. As she playfully eyed Dick. Shaking her head sweetly. That no she was not volunteering. Trying to assure him a little, though she could guess why he was a little worried. It was cute. But she wasn't going to miss out on the rest of the carnival. Nor would she ditch him. She smiled. As they got closer. She felt a joyful tingle. Her hand ran through her hair, as that seemed the natural thing to do. Her hand slipped from his as she searched for some money to give. Her eyes peered to Dick. He really had no idea. Smiling softly. Well, she wasn't going to spoil for him.
"Of course."
Kindly remarking. It might take sometime, she softly thought. Before suddenly Kory stepped up to the booth. Defiantly feeling the eyes upon her now. She blushed sweetly. "Well, Hello Gorgeous! Miss Anders! It is my pleasure!" The man was not shy in his greeting and motioned his hand to hers. As if to kiss her hand. He knew who she was. Kory was pleasantly surprised, but then she was better known in New York. She was a model after all. She giggled softly. He seemed harmless. "Come to put your hot lips, to good use I see? I promise you'll leave satisfied!" Was he trying to be funny? Kory was more confused, but he was trying to be charming? As she handed him the money for the charity. Wondering how in the worlds did he know about her lips? "I'll even throw in a kiss for free." Kory vaguely heard him, but that really wasn't why she was here. As her hand motioned for Dick's hand again. Her eyes looked to his. To his lips. Smiling sweetly. Her chest slightly paced more. A hand gently brushed the hair near his eyes. Dropping her hand, it slightly trembled.
"Together we can save lives, with a single kiss. Will you honour me with your lips?"
Revealing she was only wishing to kiss him. Asking him kindly, but she knew there was no real need to ask, but really he was the only one she wished to forever kiss. It always meant more than with him. It was for charity, it seemed even better. She looked to him sweetly. Kory assumed the booth was to kiss anybody you wished, but then she was always bending a couple of rules. Kory had motioned for his lips. When she heard the man's voice. He mustn't of exactly seen. "Get the camera ready… I'm going to kiss an alien". Now that wasn't so sweet. In one swift action her turned. Her hand slapped the man firmly across the cheek. Knocked him good at that insult. As she frowned. The girl with the camera giggled. Kory calmed down enough to motion back. To find the moment again. Where her lips came to Dick's. She wanted to remember this day. Her official first day back on earth. Her first real feel of joy she had in a while. To remember the moment shared with him. The human. The man she loved. Her soul mate.
Sometime during that moment. Came familiar voices. Calling out. At first not really paying heed to what was said. Hearing her name. His name. A sly remark at seeing them kiss. As if somethings hadn't changed. It wasn't a shock to see them in this embrace. Smiled in his lips. Hearing Roy. Gar. Was that Wally? She suddenly felt a spark light her up. Donna? It was them. She screamed a joy sound. Her friends. Their friends. She seriously could not have been more excited. More happy. It was like perfect timing. Knowing Dick would understand. As she slipped out of his embrace. So Kory could properly greet them.
"Oh X'hal! Greetings fellow titans. Friends! I have missed you."
Kory called out not at all shyly, but it was the tamaranean princess. Her smile was wide. Her cheeks glowed. Her arms imminently found Donna and hugged her. Kissed her on the cheek. Her real sister. Hearing a sly remark, which Kory didn't mind. She had missed Roy as well. Even Gar. Kissed him on his cheek, he was being his cute self. Making her laugh. Which he blushed. Then that warm familiar voice came behind her. It was. It was him.
"Wally?"
The hardest Titan to find. The one she had yet to see since her return. Embraced him with a tight hug. He was always really sweet. He was surprisingly very funny, but in the way he made one feel secure. They were her family. It felt like home. Especially with Dick here. It was like a titan reunion. Save a couple. Raven and Victor (Cyborg). Victor was working on something and well, Raven was being Raven. Kory knew she'd see them tomorrow. Maybe even by the pool. Kory had forgotten her fearful moment now. She was overjoyed.

Dick wasn't overly pleased with the comment by the person at the booth. Really, people were still excited to see aliens on this planet. For gosh sake, Superman was an alien. And people loved to see him. But yet, he looked like a man.
And for Kory...she was definitely a woman. But her traits from her world still showed on her. Her eyes and her tanned body being one. Her powers defined her. And people knew it. Dick got annoyed with the reaction of this.
It ticked him off over the reaction the public had over such things. And from before...He was remembering the reaction the public took to Dick Grayson, ward of Bruce Wayne, dating an alien. This hadn't been their first relationship together.
And sometimes Dick did prefer the days back with the Titans where Robin ha been dating Starfire. The public knew and loved that fact, but left them alone. There was a difference between a vigilante 'costumed freak' dating an alien it seemed compare to a normal, but young and wealthy guy like Dick Grayson dating a woman that happens to be an alien.
Dick let it roll off as Kory seemed to not want any confrontation between anyone there. And she had turned and surprise him when she came to him instead for the kiss. He was a bit caught off guard, but did not deny her.
At the voices that came next and as Kory slipped away from him, he rolled his eyes over the comment. Normally he'd go and make his own remark on the others over something. But right now he was Dick Grayson in public. He could be friends with them, but could not full out joke about past experiences like when they lived with each other. At least not in this place with so many around. But he could still be himself. Dick greeted the guys of his former team and hugged Donna over seeing her again.
"Of course it's Wally. Who else runs their month as fast as their feet," Dick said jokingly to the other Titans. All words were meant for fun. He wouldn't say something to hurt any of them. They were his second family. No matter what they said about each other it was all in good fun.

This world could be quite unkind, to well her kind. Sometimes it could feel a little more a solo target, but really what did she ever so so bad? Once she was born in a world, where they turned their backs and sold her away so easily. It hadn't stopped her from trying to find somewhere to belong. Somewhere. Just somewhere and somehow this felt right. More than right. Nothing could fully rid her of her smile. Her joy. Someone that cared was close. Was here. Feeling that look that touch to intense, but ultimately the perfect thing. Comfort. Safety. As Kory watched Dick's reaction to this man mistreatment. It was sweet. Right now, he was all she was seeing. She had survived things humans couldn't survive in several lifetimes to let this unkindness destroy her, but she did have feelings. A lot of feelings given she was a tamaranean native. Though couldn't stop it. He made her smile. Broke through with ease. As she looked to him sweetly by the booth. The sounds of joy was surrounded. As long as joy could be found, she didn't believe she could die.
Feeling the gentle tingles. Her cheeks colouring. As her hand lightly touched his skin. Trailed down. She didn't feel so alone. Her smile grew extra at Dick's reaction. He hadn't expected this? She would choose his lips? Shaking her head ever so slightly. Even at times she confused him, but he always listened and tired to understand. As she escaped a soft laugh. Soon feeling the closeness of his lips. Home. With that sharp and quick motion of her hand to the man's cheek. Reminding him it was one thing to insult her kind, it was another thing to insult royalty. She was a kind being, but she generally didn't take to rudeness. If she was being honest... Getting back to the moment wasn't hard. As her smile returned before she felt his lips meet her own. It made everything feel right.
"Home!"
Kory mumbled in the sweet and intense moment. Bubbles and fireworks swirled her heart. Her head. Her hair may have even flickered a flame. It was true he was a passion hard to escape. Why would she ever want to? She questioned as her lips moved again. Her hands slipped without guidance. They had each other, at least for a day. A night as well by the way it was going. As her soft giggles escaped. Forgetting the stuffed mini versions of himself caught in between. It was the oddest moment, then they were both aliens in the end and not to forget they were Titans. Soon they were met with just that. Their friends. Their family. Kory's lips struggled, but eventually let go. Laughs escaped. She was sure Dick had just muttered something. Or least she felt his response. He too was happy to them, in his own way. Kory had kissed him on the cheek. An added thank-you for coming. This day was unfolding into such pleasantries. Something even Dick was in need of. As she caught the sweet embrace between Donna and Dick. It had been awhile, maybe more than Kory realised since the Titans were truly complete. They were the odd ones out in their own worlds, but found a place to fit in with together.
With in moments of reaching out for a hug, she felt the warm embrace of he fastest man alive. Someone that often made her laugh as well as smile. He was humbly kind. A close close friend. As were they all. Kory felt surrounded by love and joy. There it has already started. Kory amusingly thought to herself at Dick's comment. As Kory soon retreated from the hug. Felt her smile not quitting. A little slow to respond. 'Hey! I resent that!' Came Wally's rebuttal as he formally greeted Dick as a fellow Titan would. The group had quickly fallen back into place. It was public, though it was clear those around had little to no clue.
"Of course. You are very charming, Wally… How is Linda?"
Kory kindly remarked in Wally's favour, as she playfully gave a look to Dick. Wasn't as if Kory's words weren't true. Smiling softly as she asked. Wally quick to thank Kory. 'Wait…. How did you…? Oh, right. Donna… Ah, she's good' Wally had said with some surprise into Kory's questioning. As she shared a look to Donna. Kory may of been out of touch, but she was making the effort to know certain things. To get back into the loop. In his look, Kory knew. In which she smiled softly, she was happy to see it… Before soon Roy interrupted. 'Well, its not as if he doesn't have a point… Your always hungry.' Of course Roy would say something like that. He was Dick's best friend, despite their fights which sometimes bad it hard to tell they were friends, but they were boys after all. 'Oh, I know. It can be frustrating!' Wally had remarked in protest to his always hungry belly. In which caused a shared laughter. Yes, it was feeling like home. Kory was sinking into it fast. Her eyes ran over at his words and then to the surrounding carnival. The smells. As for a moment she was rolling it all over in her head.
"Candy?"
Simply stated in response, as Kory looked between them. If it wouldn't solve the problem it would help. She half shrugged. They were here at a carnival. Surrounded by food as well as tons of ways to have fun. There it was clear they were mostly likely thinking along the same lines. How often would the Titans reunite like this. In New York. 'Yes, Please!' Came a very enthusiastic voice of the one with the greener skin and had motioned a peck to Kory's cheek before she could even blink. Kory simply smiled. Remarking his cuteness. He generally made her laugh. As it seemed the group was in agreement. They began to move off. Not before Gar could comment on the two plashes Kory had been clutching, with the very familiar face. 'Lets us go win you something that isn't limb and that you can actually cuddle, Princess' Of course Roy couldn't help himself. As if Kory couldn't pick up on it, though yes often he did confuse her. He was sweet, but he was still Roy.
"I didn't entirely have cuddling in mind…. Anything else, just doesn't feel the same… I don't do cold lips."
Not really one to let it get to her, after all Kory was secure in what she felt. Though she couldn't help, but comment somewhat. As her attention was quickly drawn back to the man she was referring to. Taking the chance to motion for his hand. That anything else she was talking about was anyone else in generally. As she smiled and her other hand ran a little over towards his arm. Motioning to kiss Dick's cheek. Hearing the faint 'ouch' from Roy at her comment on cold lips. Sarcasm it was still new to her. She too tried to joke. As she softly laughed at his reaction, but wouldn't take long before the next pair of legs distracted him. 'So are you two… Back together?' There was an odd pause in Kory's mind when that question came. Um? It was hard to say. They were together in some way, but not in the way that they were. In the way Kory would like. In the way she hoped Dick wanted.
With some what felt like hours later and yet not enough hours. The titans came to a departure. For the night at least. With shard food and games. Laughs. some tears. There were always new memories this night. As Kory embraced them in goodbyes for the night. They had Titan business. So Donna said. Kory insisted they could help, but Donna insisted Kory to enjoy the rest of what carnival had to offer. Perhaps a little girl code. Only Kory didn't really know what that was. 'We'll catch up tomorrow. You just enjoy the night, sweetheart.' in which Kory took the last bit of embrace from Donna. They would see the titans tomorrow, but it was a little sad to see them depart even for now. Though it had defiantly helped make her night a lot happier. As the titans soon would leave them. With the familiar ferris wheel looming above and with the candy floss in hand. Kory smiled softly to Dick. Alone. This was a moment she knew she had wanted. She was feeling the tingles. As she clutched the mini versions.
"X'hal! This was more fun than I could ever have imagined…It isn't wrong that I want to kiss you right now, is it?"
Kory's eyes moved over with her sweet swords. Playfully asking, not sure where they were entirely or if he felt the same. Only thing Kory did know was her own emotions and the fact she felt the desire to act upon them. As an tamaranean naturally would. As she smiled as if she even needed to flirt with him. Sweetly with her body language and her playful wink. It was just the two of them again. With only a Robin. A Nightwing that stood between them.
