Wonder woman left the hospital smiling after helping saving a couple of lives earlier that day, if truth be told it was rare to lose someone but it was always in her mind when she was working both as a nurse and as a superhero. She brushed herself down gently before looking at her reflection to check that her outfit was okay, she was wearing a dark black suit with a red top underneath it as well as some red shoes to complete the look, sure it wasn’t her most female outfit but she liked it plus it allowed her to easily change her outfit to become a hero. That way it gave her more chance to fight crime rather than running around too much to get a good hiding location to change.
Diana sighed gently to herself as she walked along the rough pavement floor ignoring all of the car horns, the yelling of new shoppers trying to get their greatest buy as well as the hundreds getting to work. If truth be told she didn't really want to be noticed so she came here and funny enough it seemed the busiest places were often when you could find silence and be alone. Everyone was so wrapped into their own lives trying to get to where they wanted in no time at all that they left no time to notice those around them or seem to care which was a very dangerous thing to do, it left them unprotected and weak to attack from such criminals like the Joker or the one they called the penguin. The names didn’t matter, what did matter was the population and how eventhough it seemed that some civilian died every other day they ignored it to get on with their own lives.
The thuds of her own feet were barely audible as she reached the end of the street even if she did slam her foot across the floor people where just absorbed into themselves which she admitted was good sometime but with murderers walking all over the place they weren’t safe. Although that said didn’t know if one of them was walking right beside her, like herself they most had real identities that they kept hidden from hero and villain alike but if they could find out who they were then it would solve a lot of problems. Diana could easily arrest them all then although she would have to let Bruce help out, he didn’t mind having a bad image but she knew that he wanted to have the joker at least who he hated with all of his heart which wasn’t hard to see at all.
The female stared upwards at the large buildings that were shinning from the rays that were being emitted by the yellow coloured star millions of miles away, they looked similar to her jet although not many people saw it when it was in its natural form mostly due to the fact that it was programmed to go invisible. It had helped her get to places faster than she could fly and was a good piece of defence based equipment which allowed her to get behind enemy lines unseen to the naked eye, sure it wasn’t a full charged approach but Wonder woman often stated that a well thought plan was far more effective that a full blown charge. In other words she believed that brain was better than brawl eventhough she valued them both as each had helped her out during various confrontations. Like the time when she had battled Ares where her strength was useless but instead her brain came into play allowing the female to strike the male with his own attack.
Being human was hard enough in Gotham as was being a superhero, always guessing what villain would crawl from the cracks next but it was worse being an Amazon princess so far away from home, she loved her people and knew that they understood why she was in the Bat’s city but it didn’t make her feel any better. In fact it made her feel worse, like she was blaming her reason for leaving as a curse when it was more of a pleasure. She liked the freedom of being able to do what she wanted when she wanted because when she was younger and even at that point in time Diana was restricted in what she could do as well as what she could say. Wonder woman however also enjoyed being able to fight her own battles instead of relying on others to protect her, she hated the feeling of someone getting hurt because of her so enjoyed her battles even if her mother wasn’t very happy about it. The female often had to say that she was given powers to use them, not to just process for protection.
Switching back to the present away from her memories she bumped into a man who turned round and expressed a sorry yet she simply smiled to herself, it hadn’t hurt her at all while the male seemed to gently rub his arm. “It’s fine, it was my fault too” she expressed gently before the male nodded and walked away leaving Diana with a grin on her face. He had looked confused as he had gotten himself hurt but it was due to the fact that the females body was a lot harder and more durable than the average mortals. Turning back towards her destination she looked at her golden watch which was shaped in the letter w just to show who she was as a private joke to herself, she saw that she had a few hours to kill before she had to do anything at all. Walking across the road the female warrior stared gently down the street wishing for something exiting to happen.

Green Lantern's light!" - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Meanwhile, Hal had been staying in Gotham City as of late. Being the protector of sector Earth made him a very busy Green Lantern. Earth was always riddled with violence and crime. Hal had his hands full with Gotham City and the criminal underworld here. Hal never even had time to go back home to Coast City or back to Oa, because he was too busy partaking in missions here in Gotham City for the good civilians who live here. After all, Gotham City was apart of the sector Earth, which meant that Hal was here to help when help was necessary. Especially most recently when Hal was demanded to give his power ring to Catwoman, and if it didn't go as Joker planned, then innocent lives were going to come to an abrupt end. It was things like that that kept Hal here in Gotham City. This place was one of the worst city's in the world. Hal could never understand why Batman let all of these psychotic criminals run the streets like a disease that was infecting such a beautiful city. If that was to ever happen to Coast City, then Green Lantern would cease it for good. All batman ever did was just lock them up in Arkham Asylum, and think that he could some how fix them, or change them. Hal on the other hand would just send them too another dimension far away from Gotham City. Not to mention that Hal and the Green Lantern Corps have been in recent battles with the Anti-Green Lantern Corps. The Anti-Green Lantern Corps were developed as a fighting force that rivaled the Green Lantern Corps, the Weaponers of Qward tapped into the Black Light and produced their own power rings. Unfortunately, the will power necessary to use the rings required its bearers' to have augmented brains that when the rings lose their charge after 24 hours, the bearer loses their life. You would think that Hal was a busy man after all. Being a Green Lantern affected having a normal life, but there were good times. There was also free time, but very little. Although, this was free time for Hal on this particular day. On this occasion, Hal was dressed in normal clothing, not his Green Lantern uniform that he was usually used to wearing. He could always switch to his uniform with the will of his mind, so it was all good. He never left home with out his power ring on his finger, but he tried the best that he could to cover it up, and only use when it's absolutely necessary. Hal had never properlybly seen everything that Gotham City had to offer, only the bad things, but never the good things like the inner beauty that the city possessed on a good day when nothing bad has happened, yet. Hal found himself down in the west part of Gotham City. It was thriving with decent civilians just living their everyday normal lives. It was something that Hal wanted for himself, but knew he could never have, because being being Green Lantern was now his full responsibility in protecting everyone he seen in his sight, plus the other millions roaming the Earth. Looking into the distance, Hal could see a Gotham City hospital, but what amazed him was the fact that he was most certain that he seen a familiar face walking across the street. He hadn't seen Diana in such a long time, not since they used to be in the Justice League of America together. A smile appeared upon his face, as he knew he recognized the beautiful superhero known as Wonder Woman. He began to walk in her direction, following her, but it wasn't anything like stalking. Hal just wanted to visit Diana, since it's been so long. She seemed to be minding her own business, when Hal slowly appeared next to her, but he didn't want to spook her, or come off as being creepy. " Hello there Diana, long time no see." Hal chuckled under his breath. " Haha, it's me Hal, I see your still beautiful as ever." He didn't want to talk to much, so he waited for her to respond. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS: Complete TAGGED: Hal Jordan & Wonder Woman & Anyone WORDS: LYRICS: Rise Against - Help Is On The Way NOTES: My second post as Green Lantern. To be honest she knew that he was there before Hal presented himself, she had always had a good awareness around herself which came useful during a fight as she hardly ever got snuck up upon although when she did it was usually due to some cloaking device or magic of some sort. That said it didn’t exactly twig who it was until he opened his mouth to speak making the female smile at the voice who she instantly connected to a face. A face that in all honestly was one of the best she had seen, it didn’t come with a bad body either which was strange for her to think of a male in that way. It wasn’t the fact that she didn’t like men it was just that she had brought up around women and due to that she hadn’t really experienced male connect so didn’t crave for it, how could you desire something so much if you never knew what it felt like?
The answer was simple she just didn’t look at men in a sexual or good looking way which was why the Green Lantern had shocked her when they first met. Since being on earth she had only looked at a few men Bruce and Hal were included in this list yet seeing as she hadn’t seen the bat for a long time she was slightly losing the feelings that she had felt for him for a long while.
“Hal” Diana repeated expressing a large smile at seeing him “It’s good to see you and the gods made me that way so it nothing to do with me being beautiful. You however aren’t doing so bad yourself still handsome i see even if you are old” Wonder woman laughed gently to herself after her comment raising her hands up to show that she was joking although her fellow teammate would probably know that she was anyway as she was still getting used to earth’s humour. For some strange reason the man in front of him seemed to remind her of the flash with his slightly cocky attitude but unlike the flash he could be serious when he had to be, that was part of the reason that she liked him as both a friend and a superhero.
He was similar to her in the fact that they would both do anything to help protect the people of earth even if that meant that they had to risk their own lives in the process, it was just what they did. At the end of the day being a hero was like a job which they had to be great at twenty four seven or people would lose their lives. Sure it was a difficult job that even the great Wonder woman found hard at times but the rewards that they recieved were more than enough for her, it wasnt money but it was the feeling of helping someone and saving their lives. It might of sounded chessy but it did make her feel warm and happy inside.
“What are you doing here? I thought you had gone out of Gotham city for a bit?” she asked gently raising her eyebrow before staring at his clothes which for once were casual which neither pay were seen in quite a lot when together usually because when they had been together they were fighting something or someone. That said she liked it when she could connect with her teammates when there wasn’t some kind of villain to defeat mainly because they were her greatest friends that she could trust with anything. They had all made a pact when they joined together to not mention each other’s identities to the public or to friends and family which wasn’t an easy thing for some heroes to do but they knew it was for the best. If they could trust each other with their secret identities then there wasn’t a lot to be worried about with trust issues.
She shifted her weight softly so that she was leaning on her other foot where she noticed that they were still in the middle of the road as a speeding car was coming towards them, sighing she calmly motioned Hal to walk with her until they reached the other side of the road where the pair could speak probably. Well kind of probably if it wasn’t for all of the people that were still rushing round around the pair which slightly irritated the female superhero. Diana smiled as she listened to the green warrior before her when a thought crossed her mind but she would wait to see what he was doing in Gotham first, she hoped that he was there for pleasure rather than business that way she would have someone to spend her time with, if he wanted to that is.
