| A very wet Leslie Willis raced onto the stage, microphone in hand.
“Hey Metropolis, how's it goin'?!” Her audience roared over the blaring music to respond. Her third anniversary celebration started off without a hitch, despite her producer's concerns about the weather. A thunderstorm was not going to stop her. Not tonight.
Before she said any more, Leslie caught sight of a few police cars rolling up on either side of the stage. She glared at them, and took the mike to her mouth again.
“Look everybody, it's the cops. You think they came here to party, or to shut the party down?” As the police began exiting their cruisers, the unruly crowd started tossing their drinks, food and trash at the officers. Unable to get out of their cars without being pelted by things, they shut their doors and stayed inside, waiting for backup. |

Clark was walking down Metropolis sidewalks just just as the breeze was getting heavy with his hands dugging into his pockets. Between his arms he did had a daily news newspaper He gave a smile to few people walking by as he used his right hand to fix his glasses on his face. As he been walking for quite some time now, He had heard a police radio as the police drove by with speed. It was speaking that, all police report to a scene on his bad weather day.
Lucky, Clark wasn't wearing his hat at the time or he would eventually chase it thanks to the current winds blowing. What Clark had heard that, the police need to come down and shutdown Ms.Leslie Willis outside radio show rant performance of her anniversary due to the weather conditions. Thanks to Clark's hearing, he waste no time looking for a spot to reveal himself as Superman. Within no time in an iosolcated area, he opened his chest of his shirt revealing an S following by him flying off.
Clark was flying moderate speed as he was hurrying to prevent her from getting hurt as how nasty today was. The lighthing bolts coming down several area around like scattering never knowing where it's gonna strike next. Within time, Superman had shown up landing on the ground walking towards the upper stage as he sees a rowdy up crowd cheering for her as some others contiuned to throw garbage at the officers.
He had to stopped this before everything goes out of hand. He apporached Leslie with caution. She looked hyper up pumping up the crowd with more words that she wanted to use. She was stirring up the crowd max embracing her. "You need to get of this stage now. It's not safe if you contiuned to stand on this metal flooring." He stood in a few inches away as he was telling her.

| Leslie threw her arm to the side, gesturing to the man of steel.
“Look who it is! What, no robbery? No murders taking place tonight? Spend your free time crashing parties, do you, Superjerk? Hey people, Superman wants us to go home! Wouldn't you rather stay and party?” A bolt of lightning hit the metal scaffolding upon which WLXL's sign was displayed, and the letter X became dislodged, falling to the ground and sending a few people scrambling out of its way.
Despite the danger, the crowd was riled up enough to go along with it, shouting obscenities to Superman and throwing food and drink his way. Leslie pulled the mike away to give Superman a piece of her mind.
“You're not wanted here, Superman. Fly away like a good little super-zero and steal somebody else's spotlight, or else.” Glaring at the Kryptonian, Leslie put her hand on the metal scaffolding, leaning her weight against it. However, at precicely that moment, a bolt of lightning hit the scaffolding. It traveled swiftly down, aiming to hit her hand and electrocute her. |

Clark took a second look up at the weather as it was getting worse not top of Leslie's rants. Her loud voice and loud lighting storms storming about. Clark look in horror as the letter X came misplaced with the words and started to coming down upon the crowd. It made a loud swoosh making impact on the ground. Lucky for Clark, the citizens moved out of it's way.
As Clark made another step closer to Leslie, the crowd barrage at him all different kinds of food, drinks and garbage. Clark blocked using his both forearms up covering his face while grabbing his cape with one hand to make it easier. Clark focused back on Leslie ignoring the crowd for the moment as her life was in more danger. Clark ignore Leslie's remarks about him and he had nothing else to say to her.
With her not listening to his warning the first time, Clark started to act now. He rushed at Leslie giving her a light push, shoveling her off the stage where she was tilting on. Within the progress of moving her, a lighting bolt made it's direct circuit zapping Clark with lot of voltage. Clark screamed as his body was taking in that much of electrical pain. He collapsed to the stage floor on his arms and legs trying to stand up or at least how we was getting his composure. Clark gruntled as the smoke coming off him slowly.

| Leslie barely caught a glimpse of his movement, perceiving him as only a red-blue blur. She stumbled back from his gentle but strong push, immediately upset that he had put his hands on her.
“Hey! Watch the han-” Before she could finish her sentence, a bolt of lightning hit the scaffolding and traveled down to where Leslie had just been, electrifying Superman in her place. Her eyes opened wide in surprise, and she stepped back away from him as he dropped to the ground.
She almost asked if he was alright. Instead, she kept backing away from him, unaware that she was just seconds from touching the scaffolding on the other side of the stage, which was cackling with electricity, obviously electrified from the previous lightning bolt.
Her hand reached for something to hold onto or lean against while she watched Superman try to shake off the effects of having been struck by lightning after having saved her. |

Clark had his eyes closed with his teeth smashed together from the pain he had endured being on the metal plating. His chest was going in and out largely, Clark heard some people gasping for him as they were witness of what happened to him while staying where they were. Clark made huffing noises as he was slowly rising up. The smoke seemed to clear up from him. Clark finally made it to his feet standing up straight.
Clark could see the crowd in deep silence from him being shocked with the corner of his eyes. He focused his eyes back on Leslie. To his distraught, she was once again, holding onto metal scaffolding. Clark knew if he did the same thing, that he would get more hurt than the last time. He thought of a plan within seconds that he had. To his worry, he could hear the noise of the electricity was was nearby the scaffolding were she was.
He hovered up in the air just enough about 3 feet. He didn't know if he would have much time or not but, it was better than losing a life. Clark rushed as fast as he could grabbing and lifting Leslie up over his shoulder. Preventing from himself to stay on the metal any longer. Clark fly around making a little circle heading back while lowering her down by the crowd. Clark stared at Leslie shaking his head. He nodded to the cops to do they're jobs on whatever they were gonna do to her. Crowd of men and woman didn't move as they were shocked of what happened today. Clark stood watching to make sure nothing else would be troubling.

| After being deposited onto the ground, Leslie reeled back a few steps. She both hated the Man of Steel and was grateful to him, and as such, was unsure of just how to act. She gave him a half-glare, and mumbled a thank you under her breath. He'd hear it with his super hearing, but she didn't feel obligated to let everyone hear it.
The crowd was shocked, and most were too stunned to shout either their approval or disapproval. On the one hand, Superman had just saved Leslie's live. On the other, they were longtime fans of Lesie and were all but conditioned to dislike Superman.
The police, on the other hand, were quick to react.
“Alright Ms. Willis, you're coming with us.” The police had waded through the crowd over to her, and began the process of taking her into custody for a number of offenses. As she was being handcuffed and read her rights, she continued to stare at him, feeling a mix of emotions.
The emotion she felt most was humiliation, from having been saved by the man she hated most. She trashed him almost daily on the radio, yet he had saved her life... twice. He could have conveniently stayed down just a second longer and she would be dead. |
