Wonder women landed silently on the ground sighing gently to herself as she did so before she walked slowly towards the edge of the building. She stared down below allowing her hair to be blown by the wind while she watched the humans which she held much respect for, well some of them anyway. It was the evil ones that she couldn’t handle and it was typical that the villain’s tended to be male giving more proof to her that most men were just not worth the hassle apart from those that she had worked with such as Batman or that of Superman. That type of person however seemed to be getting harder and harder to come time so even for the princess it wasn’t an easy task especially now that female’s were turning to crime like the so called Catwoman that she had seen on the news earlier that week.
Sirens flew past along the streets filling the empty silent city full of its normal destructive noise that the Princess was unfortunately getting used to. It wasn’t the sound that bothered her, she could ignore that factor quite easily what annoyed her was the amount of death and pain that Gotham seemed to be built on, that fact was the one that got to her the most. It had been vastly different where she had lived as a child, it was safe to say that it was almost like a heaven there had been no trouble up there at least none that she along with her amazons couldn’t handle. A grin separated her cheeks as she thought about them before wondering how they were coping without her, that that she didn’t think that they could but they had told her that they would find it difficult when Diana wasn’t around. “I’m sorry” she muttered gently looking upwards as she gently gripped her lasso which was hanging on the left of her uniform so she could easily whip it out if need be “I had to do this my friends, I hope one day you will understand”
Diana lowered herself so that she was sitting on the edge of the building with her legs dangling over the edge and although she was high up she wasn’t afraid of falling. It was useful being able to fly and she did like the feeling that the wind seemed to create as it blew past her when she performed the feat. Flying was her main course of transport and it often got her to work on time seeing as the taxi’s seemed to never arrive and as for trains, if there was one running without some gun wielding idiot on board then you were lucky. The princess however didn’t seem to be one of those lucky types so instead she always flew around when she could it was far easier and cheaper too.
Shaking her head slightly to escape from her thoughts she stood up when she raised her arms to her side and leaned forward until she began to fall away from the hard ground beneath her feet so that she felt the wind blow through them instead. Diving for a few seconds she quickly somersaulted within the air a few times before gently hovering back to where she had begun with a clunk when her heels connected with the concrete. She had come up there for peace and quiet yet as she heard a gunshot, which was more than likely one gang killing another, she knew that she wasn’t going to get any soon resulting in her running her hand quickly through her hair where she turned towards the drop again wanting to be anywhere where she could think.

Contrary to Wonder Woman's belief, that gun shot was not from a gangwar. Instead, it was a bunch of thugs open firing with machine guns at a certain Emerald Archeress. Green Arrow's protege barrel-rolled and hid behind a large metallic dumpster as the fires continued shooting at her, an arrow held firmly within the line of her bow ready to be shot at a moment's notice.
Her defense didn't last for long, however, as soon enough the bullets began to tear through the table. With her position compromised, Artemis back-flipped, rebounded off the table high up into the air. The villains continued their open firing, their aim following Artemis' body into the sky. Pulling her legs on for a somersault, Artemis released four arrows into the midst of the small gang of hooligans, which they all sidestepped and easily dodged.
"That all ya got, blondie?!" one of them said, as they continued to fire. In their crazed reverie, Gotham's scum failed to notice the fact that all four of the arrows were blinking, releasing a slight beeping sound every second.
"Game, set..." Artemis said, as her feet touched the ground again, having dodged their fire and not a moment too soon, her arrows exploding - one, two, three, four - four explosions one after the other in rapid succession immediately taking out all of her opponents, rendering them unconscious.
"And match." Artemis finished her small catchphrase, just in time for Wonder Woman to land behind her. Artemis turned around in a swift motion and had her bow and arrow pointed towards the Princess of Themyscira, only to lower it as she realized who it was.
"Oh... my..." she gasped.

Leaping away from the roof she clicked her legs together in a straight formation so that the wind wouldn't slow her down. By the sound of things she needed to get there fast and if she didn't she wasnt sure what would happen. Something however was telling her that it wasn't gang related they usually shot once and ran however whoever it was wanted to kill. Diana wouldn't allow that not now and not ever.
She raced fown towards the gunshot which seemed to be getting a lot louder and more frequent suggesting that her initial idea was wrong, this was proven when she saw a small female figure leapt out from behind a table where she fired at the males who attacked her. They however dodged the arrows easily much to the grimace in Diana's face causing her to hover in the sky ready to lasso the foes however before she could do anything she had to raise her arms infront of her face.
Bullets were being fired in her direction and luckily her bracklets quickly deflected the dangerous ammo away from her figure so that they fell to the floor with a clang. After the firing stopped she noticed the explosions that surrounded the males before her which knocked the group out cold. Frowning slightly she looked around the area wondering what caused that which was when she noticed that the female had a bow in her hands.
Smiling gently to herself she connected her heels to the floor and looked at the malees on the floor who she quickly wrapped in her lasso just in case they wanted to wake up. Wonder Woman then turned her attenrion to the young girl before her who didnt seem to be much older than a late teenager. She also remined her of another hero that she had heard about yet was sure that he had been a male. "Are you ok?" she asked showing concern in her voice "You should be careful some of these guys don't go down easily"
The princess raised an eyebrow at the girl before her who seemed to be in shock at least that what it seemed like to the female. Diana turned round to look behind her yet couldn't see anyone else so it obviously had to be herself although she wasn't sure what was exactly so shocking about her. Unless of course it was her beauty that she was caught of by, which she couldn't blame her for after all it was given to her from a goddess.

Artemis just stood there unmoving, continuing to stare at the woman with stars in her eyes. Oh yes, she was in total fangirl mode right now. It-It was Wonder Woman! The Amazon warrior princess and one of the most powerful people in the world! Although she was raised entirely by women on the island of Themyscira, she is an ambassador to the world of man, spreading their idealistic message of strength and love. Her equipment included the Lasso of Truth, magic gauntlets, and an invisible jet. Wonder Woman was also a founding member of the Justice League. Now residing in Man's World, she fights crime and acts as a positive role model for women everywhere, including Artemis!
Snapping out of her fangirlism induced reverie, the archeress quickly shook her head and then turned her attention back to Diana. She sprinted towards her, before stopping a short distance from her and looking up, having collapsed her expendable bow and put her arrow in its case behind her back. "Y-You're Wonder Woman!" she exclaimed.
"Oh my God, I'm a big fan!" she squealed like the teenager she was, having lost all sense of vigilantism and slipped into fangirl mode again. "What are you doing here in Gotham?" she asked.
She then remembered Wonder Woman's question. "Oh, don't worry, I can take 'em. I'm Artemis," she said. "I'm Green Arrow's, uh... neice!" she introduced herself, knowing that Wonder Woman would know Green Arrow, or at least have heard of him, considering both were members of the Justice League and he was good friends with Batman.

It was kind of strange for Diana as she looked at the female before her who seemed to be excited and it wasn't because of her beauty. No, this time it was the fact of who she was and that fact made the amazon grin gently with pride. It wasn't that she was vain or anything but she did like it when people talked about her and noticed how good she was at what she did, helping to protect mankind while talking to them all about peace and love. To her she didn't feel a need to fight anyone or anything but she also knew that no matter where you were in the galaxy there would alway's be those who had evil intentions and Wonder women was there to stop them.
"Please girl call me Diana" she said letting out a slight laugh at Artemis who had excitement pouring out of her, even the way she spoke was filled with that same emotion and it wasn't until she made it clear by saying that she was a big fan did she seem to stop. "You shouldn't be anyone's fan but your own. That said thank you i didn't know that i was known around Gotham yet" Not that she minded in fact she loved that idea, it would make her foes quiver and shake until she found the right time to crush them and throw the dirt of the earth into inprisonment. Killing them was't her choice exactly as it got far too messy and she just didn't believe in acting like the very evil she was trying to stop, she was different she was an amazon, a women, a hero.
She walked forward a few feet watched the men before her stir slightly, they weren't going to stay sleeping for long but that was fine with the princess she wanted answers and she was going to get them with the lasso of truth that she had wrapped around them earlier. Diana looked over her shoulder as the bow weilding female walked beside her asking what she was doing in the city. "I'm here to protect those that can't protect themselves and to kick some bad guy butt" she told her smiling "What about you?" It was nice for the princess to finally talk to another female in Gotham it seemed to be overrun with male's not that she didnt expect that fact, it was just that the male kind didn't seem to be found of making conversation.
Sighing to herself she lowered her figure so that she was kneeling on the ground that was when she noticed it, a thick trail of blood running down one of the men's chest's. Frowning she ripped about his shirt like it was a peice of wrapping paper yet unlike the paper she wasn't looking forward to what she was going to find. There before her was four bullet holes, two lower down, one slightly near his neck and one directly through the middle yet the body was still warm and Diana had seen the female use a grenade type weapon. It wasn't a arrow mark it was a gun wound that had been caused in the last few minutes, they could be in trouble.
"Your the neice?" she asked to herself more than anything "Iv'e heard about you, he talked about you quite a lot your uncle and between you and me he's a nice man. Don't tell him that though it will go straight to his head and i could do without that hassle" Smiling she got to her feet and looked to her newly found friend who she trusted instantly so to give Diana a chance to think she would give her a small task. "Here is my lasso, it make's them tell the truth. See what you can find out but don't free them and don't ask the third gut from the right, he's dead" With that comment she held her hand out for the female to hold on to it, Diane was allowing the lasso to work for Artemis and hoped that it would give them some insight to what was happening. The princess folded her arms as she leaned against the wall where she gestured for her to start questioning as the men began to stir.

Artemis laughed when Wonder Woman said she was here to take down the bad guys, scratching the side of her arm subconsciously. "Hehe... guess I'm here for the same reason, though I live here," she replied. She then smirked when Wonder Woman talked about Green Arrow. She was proud he had mentioned her and chuckled when Diana said that the praise might go to his head.
"Heh, he's a doozy I admit," she giggled, before her eyes widened when Wonder Woman handed her the Lasso of Truth. "M-M-Me...?! With that... oh my," she could help but let a broad Cheshire grin cover her face. It was uncharacteristic of her, but when Wonder Woman of all people hands you her Lasso of Truth, well, who wouldn't show off their teeth.
Then she snapped back into attention when she heard the word 'dead'. "What? Dead? How'd he die?!" Artemis panicked. She hadn't killed him! She couldn't have killed him she didn't have any bullets on her person. She was an archeress not a sniper.
But she looked at the shirtless man and her eyes narrowed as she saw the bullet wounds. "How..." she shook her head to clear her thoughts, before taking the Lasso and looking at it as she held it in her hands. The elder of the two females stepped aside and watched her and Artemis felt the pressure of watching your favorite heroine and role model watching you at work. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other, wanting to impress the Princess of Themyscira.
As soon as one of the men stirred and his eyes opened, Artie took a deep breath before twirling the Lasso around and throwing it at the man, pulling on the rope as it tightened around his tattered frame. "Alright, speak up!" she began, as her obsidian eyes travelled to the watching Wonder Woman for a second before she continued. She just asked questions now, right?
"Erm, uh... yeah! Now... w-who're you working for?!" she cursed herself at stammering. But give her a break. She was a Wonder Woman fan girl, using Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth, while Wonder Woman watched her progress expectantly. You expected everyone to be nervous when performing around the person they admired.
"Blugh!" the man coughed out some blood, before beginning to speak under the effects of the Lasso. "W-We're part of Odessa's gang!"
"Whose he?" Artemis asked, remembering why she was brought here in the first place as she looked at the side and saw the countless wooden boxes lined by the side of the building, to the side of which was a truck she had disabled earlier so they wouldn't get away. She knew what was in the boxes; they were smuggling weapons, and she had taken them out before they could make the delivery.
"O-Odessa! The Ukranian crime family that're arms dealers! We were making a delivery for him! We were just guards to the delivery boy,we *KOF!* *HACK!*" Artemis watched as the man coughed out some blood again before falling unconscious, the effects of her exploding arrows still in tact. With the remaining still unconscious, Artemis pulled the Lasso from him and, gathering it all, held it up back to her heroine Wonder Woman.
"T-Thank you," she stated in a timid voice, not really knowing how to speak to the elder, stunningly beautiful woman who had lent her a hand. Or rather, lent her a rope, she thought with a smile. Her next stop would be to track this Odessa Family's hideout and take them out.

“You live here” she repeated making it clear in her mind that this female filled in the crime struck city and she would offer to take the female known as Artemis away from the place if it wasn’t the fact that it was her home. After all she knew what it was like to be away from home and although she had gotten used to it she would forever class the place she was born, her home. Sighing gently to herself she looked carefully at the green dressed female before her when she expressed yet again being shocked, Diana had to say it was a face that she seemed to be quite well at doing. It reminded her of when a human saw their greatest hero actor or singer and that would often make them act rather strange. Artemis seemed to be in that fan stricken mode at that moment which Wonder woman hoped she would soon get out of, she didn’t really mind that she was excited about it but she didn’t really want to fail to live up to what she excepted off of her.
She watched the young female carefully her fists clenched tightly just in case she needed her help, she didn’t look like she was new to the whole hero business but she also didn’t seem to be used to fighting against criminals like it was day to day. Not that it bothered the princess as they all had to start somewhere and besides she wanted to help the female out, she couldn’t exactly explain why but she fully trusted her and it was the first time that Diana had met her. She couldn’t put her finger on it yet she knew that Artemis was a friend and one that she could fully rely on to help her if she needed it. That was why she gave her the lasso to try out it wasn’t something she did often and anyone who knew the princess would know that so she felt that Artemis would appreciate this factor.
The female nodded when her fellow comrade spoke about the man being dead which a shocked expression yet this time the excited look was gone and replaced with a look of terror, she seemed to think that she had killed the figure which Diana could see worried her. “It wasn’t you, he was dead before he hit the floor long before you activated your arrows.” she told her gently “But it was silent and not so long ago which isn’t good no matter how bad he was” She listened to what the trapped male said to the green arrows niece but she couldn’t say that she knew who the so called group was, she was still trying to understand Gotham let along all of the gangs and cults that were at large there. Besides that fact there was just far too many to know all of them, even Batman didn’t know all of them which was why he had lots of ways of getting to know them all quickly when he needed too.
She quickly learnt that the gang were arms dealers and that these guys were just the delivery men meaning that she need to go higher in the chain to stop them. Diana took the lasso with a smile and gave her a nod of appreciation before she tied it back to herself where she turned around to try and find a way of getting to the men up top however as she was about to jump into the air she froze. The princess liked working in a team and unlike working on her own she could have Artemis help her out which meant that she could get things sorted out quicker than she normally could. “What do you say we see how deep this thing goes?” she said giving an invitation to the girl beside her to help her stop what the men had been talking about before giving her proof that she liked her abilities"You handled the lasso rather well"

As Artemis saw Wonder Woman take her Lasso and begin to leave, her heart fell. She couldn't believe it, she had just worked with Wonder Woman, even used her Lasso! And now she was leaving. It made her sad, but she knew she had other matters to attend to. She was one of the most popular heroes in the world, and with popularity came business. Besides, the elder hero probably wouldn't want to spend time with a kid like her anyways. "Bye," she murmured softly, under her breath, as Wonder Woman began to leave. Artemis had first seen the Princess of Themyscira when she had come out of her brainless assassin state six months ago and gone to live with Oliver Queen. He had shown her all the heroes on television and when she had seen Wonder Woman, Artemis had been inspired. She had been fighting a giant grey monster thing and the fight had been shown on TV. But to see a woman so powerful, so unyielding, that she took every blow from the monster head on and then returned it tenfold; that's what had inspired Artemis to become a superheroine. Sure, she had decided she would become one when she first met Green Arrow, but it wasn't until she saw Wonder Woman did she actually become motivated. So, for her, actually meeting her in person and helping her achieve something meant the world to her. And when she stopped mid-step, Artemis had a tinge of hope light up in her heart. “What do you say we see how deep this thing goes?” her face snapped over in the Princess' direction, eyes wide. “You handled the lasso rather well.”Artemis face broke out into a smile, then a giggle and then a small laugh, before ending in a small grin. She did the most uncharacteristic thing. She lowered her head slightly and bowed. Back in the League of Shadows, this had been a sign of ultimate respect towards some other human. "I'd love to work by your side!" and she meant every word of it. "You're new to Gotham, right? I've been here for a while. We'd be awesome together," she laughed as she ran up and stood beside the taller Amazon, truly happy that she got to work with her role model.

Diana’s grin echoed that of the female before her who seemed full of joy yet again, wow she could get used to that praise from her and that much respect. She often didn’t feel that she got the respect she deserved as well as the other heroes she had met who at times just weren’t treated fairly, the common example of that would be Batman who would do absolutely anything to protect his home city yet the police didn’t seem to like that factor at times and would even come after him. That thought hurt the princess after all they were there to help protect the people that needed it yet if the police tried to stop them then it made the heroes look like the bag guys, she just couldn’t understand why the police force couldn’t just mind their own business in matters that were out of their control. Could they fly? No. Could they lift a car with a finger? No. Could they run at a supersonic speed? No. So they needed to leave the job to the real heroes like herself and even Artemis who did a better job then they could without the need for powers.
She nodded in agreement to what her fellow female was saying, it was true that she was new to Gotham in fact she hardly knew the place at all except from what she had heard about it from people passing as well as Batman himself. That said she knew not to judge a book by its cover however since coming to the city she has sound that the rumours weren’t rumours at all, they were fact and still was. Hopefully with her help that she was suggested to carry out the place would be a nicer location to live although she didn’t know just how long that would take with the countless crime lords in the area. “You can help me then” she told her smiling in response to her comment about being there for a long while.
“Now where to begin?” she said to herself shifting her weight slightly with her hands on her hips, to be honest they needed know a lot and she didn’t have a clue how they would find out by looking at the men on the floor she didn’t feel that they knew anything else. The delivery men rarely knew who they even worked for let alone where they lived, no that wouldn’t do they needed another way. “Artemis tell me, is there a library or somewhere with a computer? We could search for the gang, if they are a big gang there may be links to crimes they are involved in we can then work out where there hang out is by triangulating the locations” informed Wonder Women revealing her gift of quick thinking “Although I need your help, I might be able to charge down any wall but computers I seem to struggle with”
It was true with all her brain and brawl she still didn’t work well with computers, it wasn’t the fact that she didn’t know how they worked she just hadn’t really had the practise so like anything you didn’t know about she found it hard with computers. Diana knew that she needed to learn but at that moment they didn’t have the time, the females needed to stop the gang before they smuggled more dangerous weapons in or innocent people would be getting their lives stolen away from them.
A thud was heard behind the princess making her turn around when her face hardened with a look of power so that she didn’t look like an easy target. Three men were standing above the other four who thankfully were still unconscious apart from the one who was dead of course, Diane looked at the three and saw that each one was carrying a gun and all of them were aimed at her and Artemis. She looked carefully at her nodding gently to show that she was going to be ok, stepping forward slightly the men grinned as they outstretched the guns fully so that they were aimed directly at the amazon which was what she wanted, all their attention on her. “Go” she yelled to her female friend.
Without a second to lose she grabbed the gun in front of her which she snapped in half before throwing the pieces at the other two males. She flipped backwards kicking the man in the chin as she did so sending him smacking into the wall behind him with a loud crack and he was down for the count. Diana saw then other two men get back to stance here they fired at her however with her braclets in front of her she deflected the bullets like they were harmless flies. Flying gently into the air she fired her lasso grabbing the second male who she pulled towards her before swinging quickly around in a circle where she let go sending him crashing through a window pane.
Wonder wonder turned round to locate the last male when she felt something drag her down to the concrete floor which she hit, hard. The female tried to turn round but felt a kick in her side making her collide with a wall which toppled against her sending bricks down upon her figure. “Argh” she moaned as the gunman laughed at her pain struck face. Soon enough the bricks stopped falling yet as the last crumble was heard she listened out to hear the sound of another magnum being put into the gun. Kicking out she pushed the bricks off of her where she stumbled to her feet and met the gun which was at point blank range right at her head. “Any last words Princess?”

Artemis looked over at Wonder Woman and nodded. "Yeah, I know a library around here," she nodded, agreeing to the plan. "I'll do that," she said. Then, the green-clad archeress heard a noise about her and snapped her neck in the opposite direction.
Artemis eyes narrowed and she immediately extended her bow, pointing the arrow in the direction of the men who suddenly showed up. How they managed to sneak up on her was beyond her. She was a ninja, she was supposed to look underneath the underneath, notice things that others missed. Maybe she should ogle over Wonder Woman at a more private time, it was distracting her from utilizing her training to its fullest potential.
But still, she was working with WONDER WOMAN of all people! She just couldn't get the thought out of her head. It was like the best thing that had ever happened to her - next to finding her real mom, of course.
“Go,” that one word coming from her role model was enough to cause Artemis visible discomfort. She didn't want to leave Diana's side, but the woman spoke with the voice of royalty, and she didn't find any chance to complain in it. She had to leave, it was an order. Besides, Wonder Woman could handle herself. So, Artemis lowered her bow and took a few steps back, before disappearing in her entirety. She had to find a computer and figure out the location of this Odessa. Wonder Woman could find her later, she hoped.
Artemis had never been good at detective work, though. She left solving the big mysteries to Batman and Robin, like Green Arrow had told her to. She just took out the trash for them, per se. But still, when Wonder Woman wanted to investigate, and had asked Artemis for help, that meant Artemis would investigate for Wonder Woman no questions asked. She just hoped she would be of some actual use instead of being a pain in the--
“Argh” it was faint, too faint, but Artemis heard it. She stopped dead in her tracks. The League had taught her to recognize emotions in voice as well as body language. She wasn't too far away yet, though, so she understood immediately. Wonder Woman was in some sort of pain. Growling, she immediately changed course.
“Any last words Princess?”
"Yeah, 'go to hell'!" An arrow whipped into the man's hand, embedding itself into it causing him gun to drop his gun and let out a scream. Blood oozed out of his hand as he held it in pain. As he looked up, another arrow shot through the air towards him, this one being a trick arrow that quickly burst apart and turned into a bola that coiled around his body, tying him up. A whirlwind kick by a certain green-clad archeress who appeared into view sent the captured man flying into a bunch of trash cans.
"Are you alright?" she asked Wonder Woman as she looked at her role model with a worried expression, offering her hands for the other woman to grab and use as leverage in order to stand up straight.

As another random straggler of the dispatched group sneaked around upon the two women and began to squeeze the trigger, a flash of blue light emanated off to the side, drawing his attention. Suddenly a bolt of electricity struck him in the chest, knocking him back off of his feet. Cole approached Wonder Woman and Artemis, kicking the gun left on the floor as he passed. The thug was rendered unconscious by the blast. Cole tempered the strength of his output when dealing with normal beings. While heroes and other conduits like himself had a bigger threshold for pain, he knew regular humans couldn't withstand it and he wasn't aiming to take any more lives.
He looked over to the two women, registering surprise on his face for a moment when he realized these were no civilians. "Well, don't I feel under-dressed." He remarked. It wasn't unusual to think that there would be others out fighting crime, but neither of them were the Bat - someone he'd been expecting to run into for the week and a half he'd been in Gotham. "You okay?" He asked, straightening up as he looked to Wonder Woman and then to Artemis.
Cole made his way to a group of crates that the men had been transporting and held out his hand, fingers spread apart, as he waved it over each one of them, stopping when he reached the crate second from the end. "Aha, there you are." Cole said. He punched a hole into the top of it and shuffled his grasp around the stock of assault rifles inside. Sliding his arm out, he held a small device, flashing red, in his open palm. Closing his fingers over it, balling it into a fist, he released a quick jolt of power to destroy it.
"So much for that idea." He murmured to himself, looking at all of the beaten thugs scattered about. Releasing his grip, Cole allowed the bits and pieces of the tracking device to fall to the ground. "I've been tailing these guys for a while. I was hoping they could lead me to their boss, but I guess that's out of the question." Cole paused a moment. "They're pretty damn good at lying low, but in this city full of mixed nuts that's probably not too difficult."
He stood there for a few seconds just looking back and forth between the two of them. He was a big fish in a small pond back in Empire City, but Gotham was an ocean. They were probably wondering who the hell this guy was. "Uh, name's Cole, by the way." He said rather nervously, much to his chagrin.

She didn’t know that the young women had it in her, she completely took out the guy that had nearly struck a bullet into Wonder Woman’s head and she made it look easy. It was good to know that she was a master of some type of fighting style although she wasn’t completely sure what it was, after all amazons received completely different training for various fighting techniques that had been in their culture for years. On earth however then had so much variety in fighting styles that some people even fused together to create new types of styles. The amazon decided that she wouldn’t think about that now as her head was pounding enough already without the need for more thoughts.
Great, it was just typical that she would get shown up in front of a fan of hers, one of the first that she had seen in the city and she had gotten thrown straight into a wall. Then Artemis had to come and save her, at least she had been right about her and that she would have Diana’s back when she needed it the amazon however didn’t expect it to happen so soon. Coughing gently she turned to look at the archer’s outstretched hand which she could of got up without yet didn’t want to hurt the other female’s attitude of her even more so gently took it in her own where she pulled herself back to her feet. “I’m fine thank you Artemis” she muttered gently before brushing herself down and turning to the figure that was now lying on the floor where she checked his body but found no sign’s of injections or other marks but she knew that he wasn’t human, at least not completely. “He was strong, super strong” she told her female friend beside her “I don’t know how but something tells me that it ties in with these weapons”
Wonder woman sighed gently looking towards the young female and she hated to say it but wanted to make everything crystal clear. “I hope that your opinion of me doesn’t change” she exclaimed gently looking from the floor to the female before her “And I didn’t send you away because I didn’t think you could handle it, I just wanted to protect you and I thought I could take them while you found out about the gang” It was hard for the princess to so all of that but she meant every word and hoped that Artemis was listening because more than likely she wouldn’t receive another speech like it, in a roundabout way she was admitting that she was wrong which never happened.
She heard footsteps and instantly got in front of Artemis with her bracelets up as another gun wielding mad man came closer towards her however a look appeared on his face before he flew forward slightly with static running through his body for a split second until it disappeared almost as quickly as it appeared. A male then walked out kicking the gun out of the way as he did so before asking if they were ok where the amazon princess nodded carefully yet still kept her bracelets up high. Friend or foe she wasn’t sure but she knew that she would get to the bottom of it and soon, she didn’t need any more distractions especially from another male considering the last few she had met tried to kill her.
Diana watched him hover his hand over the items until he seemed to find what he was looking for suggesting that he had some kind of x ray vision making her feel slightly nervous when she looked down at her costume, the female hoped that it wasn’t active all of the time. A device appeared in his and which he destroyed with another jolt of energy although she wasn’t sure what exactly it was so lowered her wrists at that point to find out yet if need be she still had her lasso which couldn’t be destroyed by anything so it could help her find the truth that way. “What was that for?” she asked in a strong voice showing her dominance enough to know that she wasn’t one to be fooled around yet nice enough to show that she didn’t want to fight him. “You know this trash?”
The princess was about to ask if he knew where their hang out was yet quickly enough he answered that question anyway stating that he had been trailing them to find out about them for his own reasons, which she noticed he didn’t make clear. The mixed nuts comment she had to laugh about and agree too although that didn’t stop her mind from working overtime for what to do know, if she invited him along with them or not, she decided that a short conversation was in order first then she would make her mind up. “I’m Diana, Cole and this is Artemis a good friend of mine and for now a partner. We are tracking this gang down, if you are against them then we are on the same side. If you wish to join us then you may however don’t kill anybody, that is something I won’t tolerate” she told him looking at her female partner before looking back to Cole.

Cole brushed his hands together, clearing what mess remained from the tracking beacon. "I had to get rid of it. In case I plant another one, I don't need this one showing up on the radar. It's useless." He explained, paying heed to Wonder Woman's commanding tone. Cole didn't know much about the superhero community, but he knew enough not to piss anyone off. "I don't know them personally, but I linked them to a certain organization. One that deals in something a lot more dangerous than gun trafficking." He said. Cole bent down, taking a closer look at one of the downed thugs. He considered extracting any residual neuro-electrical energy from the man to see if he could track where they had come from, because at that point he was coming up empty handed - without any leads.
Standing back up, Cole approached them, though slowly so as not to alert them. He was still a stranger after all. "Nice to meet you both. I only wish it were under better circumstances." Cole vaguely recognized Diana. Though he was still learning. He had been brushing up on his knowledge. There was no way he could make it out in the wider world without knowing who was who and making connections when the opportunity presented itself. He couldn't quite place Artemis, but just looking at her conjured up images of the Green Arrow - someone he'd only recently found out about.
Cole held his hands up as if in surrender. "I don't kill. At least I make a conscious effort not to." He said. It was true, Cole only aimed to help those in need, and taking in threats alive was his preferred method in dealing with foes. Empire City had been dealt enough damage - most of it his fault. Haunted by that time stuck under the quarantine, he vowed to use his abilities for the good of others, giving back in hopes of making amends to those lives who were lost in making him who he was. "Either of you have anything to go on?" Cole asked, rubbing the back of his neck.

Artemis looked up at Wonder Woman and smiled at her. "My opinion of you won't change so easily," she said. "Don't worry, I'm used to being underestimated by superhumans. What people don't realize is that us ninjas are trained to take out opponents stronger than us. I can take down six hundred men at a time," she laughed, completely alleviating the Princess' doubts.
Well, wasn't this turning into a superhero party. Artemis personally had liked it when it had just been her and the woman she had looked up to. Now there was this person showing up electrocuting bugs and Artie didn't like it. Still, when Wonder Woman showed some form of response to him and allowed him to work with them she conceded, deciding that the elder hero had more experience and thus it was better if she should follow her lead. Something she never would have thought if it was Green Arrow or Speedy instead of Wonder Woman.
"Oh really now?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest when Cole said there was probably more to this case that met the eye. She was mildly thrilled she was solving a case here. She never solved cases, that was the Dynamic Duo's job. She took out their trash for them, but she was no detective. She hoped this Cole person was, because there was no point in doing what they were doing like this.
"Just that Odessa's involved in this," she replied to Cole, before putting her fists on her waist. "I guess that trip to the Library is in order... in fact," she suddenly grinned. "Gotham's library is rather downtrodden... like the rest of the city. But I know a place where we can get the info we need," the place in Artemis' mind was the most high-tech place in the whole of Gotham, and thus being the access point to most of the latest information.
Wayne Towers.

"Six thundred men?" she repeated grinning slightly before she began to boast about her own skills "You should try fighting Vixen, Hawkgirl, Huntress and the black Canary" The amazon laughed gently at the thought of that fight, had been taken under control and had to fight the four women who had fought Diana for a few secounds before the women beat them all causing the four to retreat and find a different way. It seemed years ago however and they were good friends now at least the female hoped that they were.
She raised an eyebrow at the device when he unofficially stated that it had been his, it seemed to be some kind of tracking device although that said Wonder Woman hadn’t seen a device quite like the one that was before her. It seemed to be home made yet had some kind of marksmanship that was out of this world, she was impressed and that wasn’t one to happen often like when she had first reached earth and didn’t like working with males due to her views of them. However she had found some good men, one’s that shared Diana’s views so she at least had to give this Cole person a chance, he was after the same group that herself and Artemis was after all. “A lot more than trafficking?” she said frowning slightly at the electric user’s comment “Does it have anything to do with empowering humans?”
It might be a long short with Cole not knowing a single thing but she knew within herself that the man who had thrown her into the rocks wasn’t one hundred percent human, he couldn’t be. Diana could of defeated him of course yet she wasn’t prepared for a super strong tackle that she had received, she wouldn’t be making that mistake again soon or ever again if she could help it. The princess nodded to Cole when he said that it was nice to meet then and the feeling was mutual for now, he could help them if a battle occurred as he seemed rather adapt at using his thunder charged powers. It was strange for her however as thunder was one of her weaknesses that her bracelets couldn’t defend against for long and her power was more susceptible to damage from thunder attacks although she still wasn’t sure why. That said she could probably take him out if the male turned against them, she would use her speed though to get around the attacks and then take him to the ground, he didn’t seem to process super strength although he did seem quite strong.
“Good” she exclaimed strongly to Cole after he explained that he didn’t kill anyone if he didn’t have to. It was at that moment that she noticed she hadn’t asked Artemis about her view on the killing yet had a feeling that she wasn’t one to kill after all she had looked slightly scared when the female archer though that she killed one of the men before. The low lives must of heard her because a couple moaned as they began to awake, knowing that hey couldn’t fight back without their guns however Diana quickly raced around with her speed to destroy their weapons by crushing them with her hands sending a flow of wind energy behind her towards Artemis and Cole although it would just be a slight breeze when it hit them. “We need to go”
Staring back at the men in case they were brave enough to get up the princess listened to what her female partner had to say, that she knew a place where they could go but it seemed that she wasn’t going to take them to the library anymore. Diana didn’t mind all she really wanted to happen was that they would find the gang quickly before they did anymore damage or sent more modified humans after them, they would have a range of powers and the amazon wouldn’t have a clue where to start. No doubt they would know about her weakness, large gangs always did in order to use it against the hero. She wasn’t scared though she believed in her powers and the two figures close beside her. “Lead the way Artemis but we need to hurry” she exclaimed with a smile before letting herself hover a few feet into the air. She was quicker in the sky after all and could offer a bird’s eye view in case someone attacked the group.
