- The very naive Jack was tricked by a man named Mikey into helping him steal some jewelry. Hearing the sound of shattering glass, Hawkgirl arrived on the scene. She realized that Jack was innocent, and because he was severely injured by the glass she let Mikey get away so that she could get some medical attention for Jack. She took him to a clinic and he got patched up.
