- Bane was resting when the Ratcatcher arrived to challenge him. Bane was unconcerned, using a device he got from the Pied Piper to briefly control the rats, which greatly upset the Ratcatcher. However, when the Ratcatcher assaulted the building he thought was Bane's residence, it proved to be full of chemicals that exploded in flames and killed many rats.
