Spoiler jumped from rooftop to rooftop, just taking in the sights. December seemed to be the one time of the year Gotham didn’t seem totally devoid of hope. With all the lights and the snow, it seemed to have an air of hope. She took in all the sights and felt happy. The city seemed calm for once, like everyone was happy. As if on cue, she heard screaming from the alley near her.
Stephanie dived off the roof, quickly spreading her cape. She whipped up higher in the air, gaining altitude. She moved her body through the air, gliding towards the alley. She reached a point where could see what was going on in the alley, and squinted to see better. A man was pushing a woman against the side of the building with his body, his mouth was on here neck and he was grabbing at her shirt.
Spoiler picked up speed and landed silently behind him. She tapped his shoulder, before quickly saying,
“Hey mister, Hands off!” Stephanie said as she landed a hard right hook into the man’s jaw. She grabbed his arm pulled it behind his back, pushing him onto the ground. Spoiler used enough force to easily break his arm. And she meant to. She punched him one more time in the back of the head to make sure he was knocked out. Stephanie turned to woman.
“You’re safe now. Go.” Stephanie said, before pulling out a cellphone and reporting the man to the police.
She grabbed her grappling gun, and traveled to a nearby rooftop. Spoiler lowered herself onto the edge of the roof, sitting down and dangling her legs in the middle of the air, kicking them back and forth. She pulled down the mask that covered the lower half of her face, leaving her face uncovered, but slightly covered the shadow of her hood if anything. Stephanie took a deep breath of the cool, crisp air and smiled. Another creep bites the dust.
Stephanie suddenly heard a noise behind her. She stood up and whipped around, looking in the shadows behind her to see the origin of the noise. She could only make out the silhouette of a figure.
“Who’s there?” Stephanie said softly.
Great idea, Stephanie. Sure, nicely ask the possibly murderous and hidden figure behind you that can see you with your mask off who they are.
