Right outside of Gotham Hights, about a seven minute run from Commissioner Gordon’s house is the four story building with a large shield over it, the emblazoned initials “JSA” in gold and blue towered over lesser buildings. It stood smaller than their first HQ in New York, but it was still a tourist location, for people to take pictures of the JSA symbol in front of and post it on their facebooks and twitters.
It was dark—as usual—both of the heroes preferred it. In the laboratory of Dr. McNider, Carpenter leaned against the wall adjacent to the door. It was his life’s work, a new serum to replicate blood: false plasma, eliminating the use for donors; despite the fact that it was a booming business. Charles often showed nothing but disgust for the business practice behind medicine; often comparing the blood donating industry to the evil imperial empire in Star Wars. He was hunched over a microscope, carefully dipping a chemical into a Petri dish while he made small talk with the Vampire who was showing off her boredom.
“It’s been eight hours, Mid-Nite. Are you nearly done?” Carpenter asked, arms crossed and head cocked. “This is a long process Carpenter; I’ve been working on this years before I knew you. It takes even longer to come up with a batch that will last you since you keep sucking me dry. No pun intended.” Dr. Mid-Nite explained with a straight face, even if it did make Carpenter laugh. “Yeah, well. I can sit around and keep tasting your blood-…”
“Plasma.” Mid-Nite corrected.
“Yeah, plasma; but it doesn’t mean I can’t get bored just sitting here. I mean, it doesn’t even taste like real blood.” Carpenter continued to complain. “It gets the job done, though. And I can’t keep taking blood from the hospital. They’re going to start getting suspicious. Plus, you know how I feel about blood donating companies. They’re heartless and only care about the profit. Half the time, the donated blood in the banks doesn’t even get used.” Mid-Nite expounded. “Which is why it’s okay if I keep borrowing from them.” The Vampire justified. “Except that the hospital pays for it.” Mid-Nite countered.
“Look, you’re not a vampire, you don’t understand.” Carpenter began to whine, “I’m not pretending I do.” Mid-Nite responded. “Let me explain it this way,” she said as Mid-Nite sat up straight and walked the Petri dish over to a large boiling cast-iron pot on a Bunsen burner, “you know how thirsty you get if you haven’t had any… you know… in a while?” the shaven head woman asked, “Well it’s like better than an orgasm after like a month of not getting any tail. It’s such a good feeling, and it does more than just fulfill my taste receptors, it’s like a sixth sense of overwhelming experiences!” Carpenter threw her hands up and leaned her entirety into the wall, closing her eyes, while Dr. Mid-Nite distributed the plasmic serum into a vial. “Well then, try this.” The hero offered to the ecstatic vampire.
Carpenter gave an uneasy smirk and put the vial to her lips, “This will put my thirst at bay?” she asked, “For the entire week. We’ve got about a year’s supply here.” Mid-Nite assured. “Alright then.” Carpenter said looking down at the fluid. It certainly didn’t have the smell or the color of blood, but it would help her out at the very least. She drank the whole thing, which honestly wasn’t a lot, but it certainly felt like it. The vampire’s face scrunched up and reeled back, sticking her tongue out in hopes that the taste would go away. “Yeee-utch! Gross! That tastes like pig-crap!” She exclaimed in disgust.
“I’ll put a lid over it so you can take it back to your place. Want to see what’s going on in the city? Maybe we can stop a few penny purse snatchers.” Mid-Nite said taking off his pair of his heat resistant gloves, in favor for his combat gauntlets.
“Might as well,” Carpenter said placing his vial back on a shelf for cleaning later, “the night is young.”

It was quite warm out, there was no breeze between the towering buildings and the cramped streets were stifling at best. Despite the inherent discomfort, Ky sat on a concrete step beneath an awning, resting her chin on her fist and watching the odd car pass by.
With everyone off on their own business or unwilling to go out. To be honest, Ky wasn't even sure who was present in the HQ at the moment.
The street in front of the JSA was as far as Ky could venture without risk of a firm talking to. She didn’t appreciate being scolded; still, it was hard to stay put when one suffered from cabin fever.
The Kryptonian had lost track of time, the heat had made her tired but she was too preoccupied with her own thoughts to bother napping or going inside. She had been battling with herself over whether or not she should risk it and simply walk out into the city on her own, it wasn't as if she had to worry about being mugged or kidnapped.
On the other hand, she could keep waiting till someone came out of the HQ and then try and tag along with whoever was willing to deal with her.
Sighing, the teen came to terms with that fact that waiting was her only viable option. Which seemed the most unappealing choice she had but the best decision by a landslide. Unfortunately, this meant the most interesting thing she had to look forward to was the odd glance she’d get from a civilian passing by.
Ky determined it was because she did not wearing civilian attire and her body suit was not a common thing to see. Perhaps the next civilian who looked at her funny would indulge her if she asked what they were staring at.
For now, she'd busy herself listening to an old man caterwaul a bastardized rendition of 'Ombra mai fu' in an apartment down the block.

Stepping outside of the laboratory, and stretching, she linked arms with McNider and rested her head against his shoulder. “You know, you don’t have to do this.” Carpenter sighed in an unusually pensive state. “I don’t know what you mean, you need help and I’m in the position to help. I’m a doctor Carpenter, it’s what I do.” Mid-Nite state as a matter of fact. It only made her feel worse that she couldn’t do anything in return. She wanted to do something special for all the kindness he offered, from helping her into the Justice Society, to helping her with her thirst problem, as well as letting her stay at his own home when she was in the middle of recovery.
Carpenter pulled back and saw one of her darker clad teammates walking down the opposite side of the hall. “What’re you two going off to? Skipping in the park?” Wildcat asked, stopping to observe the two, even going as far as putting his fists to his hips. “Yeah, we’re going to the park at midnight and we’re going to screw on the bench.”
Charles was quick to defuse the loud mouth, “We’re going on patrol, Ted. Want to come with us? We could use a few more heads if it gets ugly.” He explained, “The one dedicated to Sandman! You know the one.” Carpenter kept talking but figured she had said too much, as it got really quiet after she had finished. “Yeah, I said that.” She said unapologetically. “Eh, you punks look like you could use some help anyway. Where we headed?” Wildcat asked now turning and following the small group. “We figure we’ll hit Central and split from there.” Mid-Nite explained, walking up to the enormous door and revealing the streets of Gotham.
“Ky?” Carpenter asked as they revealed the teen in spandex, “What are you doing here?”

Ky perked up before the trio even exited the building, her body snapped straight and she whipped her head around to look at the JSA HQ doors. The teen did manage not to spring to her feet in excitement, but couldn’t help the bright smile she cast towards Carpenter, Mid-Nite and WildCat as the joined her on the sidewalk.
“Hello!” The redhead beamed, pushing herself up off the concrete step and tucking her hands behind her back as she faced the three. Ky had the decency to try and look like she had just gotten there and was surprised to see them, but her grin was enough to give her away; what she said next even more so. “I wanted to go out and do something today, but since I am not permitted to venture off alone--”
The way she said it, you’d think that someone had just smacked a triple scoop ice cream cone out of her hand. “And I was waiting to see if anyone wanted to go out. I did not know you all were here…” Ky looked up at the sky, blinking at it as if she hadn’t realized it was still there. “What---what time is it?”

“Hey, you can do whatever the hell you want. You’re not wearing a leash. They don’t own you.” Carpenter retorted, placing her hands against her hips, and talking a big game. There was a question floating around everyone’s head, wondering just how long she had been sitting there instead of taking initiative and walking inside to see if anyone would escort her. “Don’t give her the wrong idea, Carpenter. You did the right thing in not going out by yourself, Ky.” Dr. Mid-Nite commended, “But you do have access to the entire building. You can walk around inside and see who can watch over you.” He added.
The vampire huffed in opposition, “You can’t keep her locked up like this.” She mumbled, “Look, I don’t agree with it either,” Wildcat explained, “but she’s a Kryptonian. Fate said it best, she’s not fully developed yet. Little blue eyes will get herself in all sorts of trouble if we're not there mentoring her.”
“Well that’s not here, nor there. We’re going out right now, at…” Carpenter quickly looked at her watch, as Ky’s request for time might solve just how long she was sitting at the Justice Society’s stoop, “12:58, wanna join us? We could use a Kryptonian if things get dicy. You can never tell in a city like Gotham.”

Ky seemed a bit confused by the mixed messages she was receiving from everyone. “I didn’t want to intrude. People like their privacy---But I will keep that in mind for next time” She was still learning how things worked, one second she was invited to go wherever she would like, and then she was walking in on someone in their undies and getting scolded.
It was all very confusing. But she would learn; as Inza once said, in time. Speaking of which…
“Oh. Wow. Eight hours” The Kryptonian didn’t seem at all disturbed by the fact she had been sitting around waiting for eight hours, in all honesty she hadn’t really noticed that THAT much time had passed.
Ky stared at WildCat, even as Carpenter asked if she wanted to join them. It was all she had wanted ever since she had first gone outside that morning, but Ky also really really liked it when Mr.Grant called her that. She smiled openly at the brawler and nodded. “Gotham is a very interesting place, I’ll be happy to come along. I promise not to give you cramps”

“Eight hours?! We were inside all day, I could have used you inside. Charles can get…” Mid-Nite gave an unimpressed look at the Vampire, crossing his arms and expecting her to finish her thought. “Quiet, when he works.” Carpenter smirked and gave her mentor a hug, though he clearly didn’t like it. “What do-… do you mean; you don’t want to cramp our style?” Wildcat asked in an understanding tone, “You should keep reading Urban Dictionary, babe.” Carpenter said resting her hand on her shoulder.
The four heroes were now standing atop a building with the Wayne logo slapped on it, in a large illuminated individual letters, not the Wayne Tower, but one of the many different buildings that dedicated its resources to other sciences and aerospace technology. Carpenter leaned in close, one arm over a knee looking at the busy city. “Well. I guess we should split off from here.” Carpenter suggested turning to her teammates, “How do you guys want to split off?”
“Well, Wildcat and I don’t have any powers, so I can stick with you, and Ky can follow Wildcat. Training new heroes, that’s your thing anyway, right?” Dr. Mid-Nite suggested, motioning towards the young hero. “Yeah, she can tag along. We probably won’t have any trouble tonight anyway. Any trouble we can’t handle that is.” Ted grunted, in his usual smoker voice. “Alright, well call us if anything happens.”

Ky winced as Carpenter raised her voice, smiling meekly and tucking her hands behind her back, a little embarrassed. “I HAVE been trying very hard to learn all the sayings” That was all she dare say, as she tucked her head down and resigned herself to shadowing her senior JSAer’s.
The youth peered out over the city, standing back behind the group as they discussed their battle plans. Ky crossed her arms over her chest, walking up to WildCat when it was determined she was be following his lead. “I’ll try not to slow you down Mr.Grant. I make no promises but maybe you can show me this South Paw you spoke of earlier if tonight truly is so slow”
Ky looked over to Carpenter and walked around Mid-Nite in order to give the vampire a hug. “Good Luck Noelle. Be careful. You both call us if you need help as well” Ky did not truly believe they would need Wild Cat and Her help, but she felt she should return the gesture.

Carpenter leaned off the building and turned her head to face Ky one last time beofre she took off. "We'll see how the night goes. Take care." She whispered and jumped off with her arms spread, letting the air take her. Dr. Mid-Nite walked up to where his apprentice had leaped off of, merely turning around and shrugging to himself, saying, "See what I have to deal with?" And pulled out his grapnel hook, and taking his own dive off the enormous building.
Wildcat crossed his arms and took one look at the tiny Kryptonian and smirked to himself, "I don't think I need to teach you anything, I'll probably be trailing behind you. You can punch a hole in a mountain if you want." Wildcat huffed, and shook his head, "Old guy like me, probably would need a cane, and throw out my back." He walked up to the edge of the building and put one leg up and rested his arm against his knee, and expelled a long sigh as his eyes scanned the city. "I guess we should go ahead and stop some bad guys. See if we can beat more guys up than Mid-Nite and Carpenter.
A thug flied out of a dark alley and smacked against the sidewalk, face bloodied and bruised, he scrambled to his feet and screamed in fear. The streets, still busy, the crowd which was flooding in the Gotham opened up. "He's making a run for it!" Carpenter's voice came out from the darkness. "He's done for." A leathery cape cut the skies and the form of Dr. Mid-Nite slammed down and crushed the thug's body. "That'll learn ya." Carpenter walked out with her hands on her hips. "How's the girl?" Mid-Nite asked looking up to the vampire, "Scared, but she's fine. Just roughed up a little bit." She smiled, as Mid-Nite pulled out a pair of flexi-cuffs and zip tied his hands together. "Move along people, nothing to see here." He said, picking up the unconsious thug.
"I think they'd beg to differ. A vampire and a man in red tights stop a rapist isn't exactly something anyone walk by every day." She said looking around, at the astonished faces and cell phone cameras. "In Gotham you do."

Ky waved happily to Carpenter and Mid-Nite as they disappeared off the roof, stopping only when the man behind her began to comment. The teen pouted and crossed her own arms to mimic the stance WildCat had taken, the intimidation factor was lessened as she had to crane her head a bit to look him in the eye.
“You’ll show me your moves, won’t you Mr.Grant? I may be strong but Kent and Inza always told me that strength is not everything. Skill and technique are important factors aren’t they?” The teen seemed really distraught that he would paint himself in such a debilitated light, she obviously thought very highly of him.
Pouting haughtily at the brawler, Ky looked back out over the city and contemplated just where they might go. “Come. We can’t let those grouches beat us”
“Like this?”
Ky led with her left, jabbing lightly at a man who had just struck her with a; now bent, iron pipe. Her knuckles tapped his nose, splitting cartilage and forcing a large gush of blood to spray from his nostrils. The man was thrown back, colliding with a few garbage cans that dented from the force of his 196lbs slamming into them.
Her stance was all wrong and sloppy, her defense nonexistent as she had never faced an obstacle that she had to defend herself against. Another thug rushed her from behind and tackled her, only to crack his clavicle as his shoulders met with an immovable object.
Ky looked down at the man as he fell at her feet, clutching his chest and wheezing loudly. “These men are--” A bottle that was half-full of stale beer was smashed over her head, sending shattered glass and liquid soaking into her hair, Ky turned around to casually punch the offending thug in the gut.
“These men are not posing much of a challenge. But there are at least ten of them” Ky looked over to see WildCat in action, unhurried in her casual perusal of the empty lot they were brawling in.

“If you wanna see a real grouch, you should talk to Corrigan. Let’s just start off here and work our way down to Robinson Park.” Wildcat explained to the teen, as he stood erect on the edge of the building, looking down at the dirty streets of Gotham. It only made him reminisce “You know who the last Kryptonian I trained turned out to be?” Ted asked, taking a deep breath and letting out another sigh, “Dude was naïve, very green, but he wanted to learn everything he could, even had the most brilliant blue eyes like you. He goes by Superman, now.”
Carpenter sat with her back against the wall of the building the two heroes resided on for a quick rest stop, rocking her head from side to side, her eyes closed. It was the closest thing to sleep she would get since she had been awake for the last fifty-three hours. Not entirely sleepy, she had a middle-ground for such feelings; being tired and awake was almost like flipping on a light switch. Dr. Mid-Nite was brooding atop a gargoyle, at least that’s all Carpenter could tell with the senses she was using.
“If Carter wasn’t such an ass, maybe I’d enjoy being around him. As it stands, he’s just an ass.” The Vampire suddenly stated out of the blue. “I don’t think he’s an ass. Just a little hard headed.” Mid-Nite idly replied as he kept his eyes scanning the city for more trouble.
“Well not to you maybe, you’ve probably known him more than most of the JSA has, but he’s just a dick some times.” “Maybe you just have a hard time getting along with others.” “I get along with Pratt.” “You two have similar personalities.” “Hall and I don’t?” “That’s beside the point; you should try to get along with him. He’s one of the founding members for God’s sakes.”
Carpenter sat there for a while, deep in thought, taking Mid-Nite’s words into consideration. “Hey, Charles. You think I’m an asshole?” she asked opening her eyes to look at him. “What now? What kind of question is that?”
“Like in the grand scheme of things? You think I’m an asshole? “No, Carpenter, I don’t think you’re an asshole.” “I’m just saying, I mean… I’m aware that I can be harsh at times…” “You care about your friends; you’d give your life for us. Not everyone knows that.”
Mid-Nite said took his eyes off the city to look at the moping vampire; he offered an unusual smile, if anything to comfort her. “Thanks, Charles.” Carpenter smiled back and leaned her head back against the wall and closed her eyes again, just enjoying the silence between them.
Wildcat ducked and grabbed the assailant’s arm “Uh, no look, blue eyes… we’ll worry about that… later. Let’s take care of these punks… first!” He spoke in half broken sentences as he punched a thug in the chest here, and dodged a knife there. Wildcat parried another assailant and spun the man around like a merry-go-round, knocking several thugs on their feet before flinging him into a brick wall.
“Though if you want some criticism, you could keep your head in the game and help me out a little more instead of just standing there!” He called out as he tackled another oncoming goon, to the floor. He quickly sat up and pounded both fists on his head, before another jumped on his back. Wildcat leaned forward and tossed the thug off of him to keep him from getting choked out.
“No need to be gentle!”

Ky looked on with worry as the thugs were still piling on WildCat, he was handling them fine but the youth found she wasn’t comfortable seeing him being attacked. She approached him just as he tossed the thug off his back and caught said criminal mid air. “I need to be gentle WildCat, if I am not they will die”
With that said, the Kryptonian lifted the struggling man higher off the ground before throwing him at least fifteen feet straight up into the air. Most of the remaining, conscious thugs watched as the man screamed through the air and landed with a sickening crunch on the pavement. His left arm bent in an ungodly angle.
Ky looked at the thugs and cracked her knuckles. “If you all would like compound fractures of equal or greater severity, please do continue to attack me and my friend” The teen offered an uncharacteristic smirk, before bolting after a man who was pulling a gun.
Ky didn’t like guns, guns were too dangerous for people like Ted; so she body checked the armed thug so hard he skipped twice across the lot, crashing into a moaning heap against the shambled chain-link fence.

Reeling his fist back, he pounded the last thug standing in the face with a haymaker. The crack could be heard reverb through the brick halls, as his Wildcat’s fist met his face, dropping to the floor immediately, he was nothing but a pile of broken bones, bruises and blood. Attempting to catch his breath, he held onto his chest just to make sure his heart was still working. He looked up to Ky who was still standing perfectly still and merely shook his head.
“Look kid, I know you gotta be careful not to kill anyone but these guys eventually wise up after they realize they can’t hurt’cha.” He said walking up to her. “Maybe going out on a patrol with me isn’t the best idea. These guys are chumps compared to you.” Standing straight up now, the boxer crossed his arms and just looked down at her for a moment, the alley was quiet and she didn’t say anything at first, he felt like he was being a bit hard on her; Fate was quick to remind him that she had the mental fortitude of a six year old.
He sighed and broke eye contact, “We’ll work on it, okay? But if we’re going to face a group of ten thugs, I’m going to need some more help, blue-eyes.” Wildcat said pointing his thumb at his chest as if to emphasize his mortality, being the squishy old man that he is. The thug in two tone lifted up the sewer grate and hurried his friend. “C’mon! Hurry up! They’re chasing us!” He yelled in a panic. “I’m comin’, I’m comin’!” his friend yelled back as he carried a metallic briefcase and slipped inside the manhole. The thug dipped into the manhole after his friend and closed the lid just as Dr. Mid-Nite leaped into the scene.
“Dammit.” Carpenter cursed under her breath as she caught up with him, “They brought it into the sewers. Whatever O’Jeneus made, it looks like Two-Face is willing to do his best to hide it. He must have paid a lot for it, too.” Mid-Nite explained opening up the cover and tossed it to the side. “That man is like an Oompa Loompa crossed with MacGyver. He can make anything into a weapon.” The Vampire verbalized in a tired tone as she made her way down into the sewers.
Reaching the bottom Carpenter tried to look around for them in the dark, dank, and claustrophobic corridors of the Gotham pipelines. “Well they knew it would be near impossible to find them here. The stench is too powerful for me to pick up on them, and the acoustics in here have too much reverb.” Carpenter observed kneeling down to look at the water from the “safe zone” of the sewers. “And it looks like they walked through the water and muck.” She concluded as Mid-Nite walked made his way down next to Carpenter.
Mid-Nite looked at all the possible ways they could have gone, and pondered for only a moment. “It seems like he would most likely use the sewers to get around, not to actually set up shop. Two-Face operates in the East District, so our best bet is to head down east and see if we can’t pick up on a trail.” He explained walking down one of the pipe-ways. The vampire trailed behind him quietly, and shook her head. “Why always the sewers?” She complained, “It’s just so cliché.”
A few moments passed, it must have been about ten minutes as the two walked around wandering the sewers, heightened senses really did suck, as Carpenter could smell the horrid aroma of Gotham’s waste through her plucked nose. “You think Superman with his super smelling could smell the sewers like all the time?” Carpenter asked trotting behind the dark avenger, “The dude can hear sound in the vacuum of space. I mean, he’s got to, right?”
“I try not to picture that, though he does have the ability to dull his senses.” Mid-Nite Responded. “Yeah, but how can he avoid a smell?” “How can he avoid certain sounds?” “Point. Kryptonians man, I just don’t get them.” “Maybe you can ask Ky when we meet up again.” “Well how can you explain—…” “Shhh!”
Mid-Nite held his hand back to keep from Carpenter from moving forward. “You hear that?” He asked turned his head slowly to his partner. “Hear… what?” She inquired leaning in close. “Oh, shit! Move!” Carpenter yelled as they both set off into a sprint. Dr. Mid-Nite held his hand to his ear piece, “Wildcat, Ky, we need back up! We’re in the main sewer line heading east! Hurry!”
“Solomon Grundy, born on a Monday,” “Shit!” “Christened on Tuesday,” “Hurry!” “Married on Wednesday,” “Where is he coming from!?” “Took ill on Thursday,” “Just keep running!” “Grew worse on Friday,” “What do you think I’m doing!?” “Died on a Saturday," “Oh shit! Get out of the way!” "Buried on Sunday!”
Carpenter pushed Dr. Mid-Nite to the floor just as the wall to the side burst open, bricks, water and debris flew everywhere, and the enormous zombie grabbed the vampire’s frail body, wrapping his entire hand around her waist and lifted her in the air before slamming her back down into the weak floors, cracking their grounding. “Noelle!” Mid-Nite called out in horror as Grundy lifter her back up into the air. He was still collecting himself but grabbed an ink grenade and tossed it in his face. It didn’t phase the beast at all, and he pounded the vampire back into the floor, causing it to collapse underneath his feet. Losing balance, losing his grip, and falling, onto the floor below them Mid-Nite followed them; not by choice of course.

Ky looked a little disheartened at Wildcat’s words, but she knew he was a bit more abrasive than the others; he wouldn’t sugar coat things for her and some part of her appreciated that. Another part wanted to be hurt, but it wasn’t in Ky to take things personally and she merely nodded along with what he said.
She looked up bashfully as the older crime fighter gestured to himself, he managed to make her smile a little bit--but this only lasted a moment.
“Wildcat, Ky, we need back up--!”
The youth stared, wide eyed, up at the brawler as the full weight of the distress call crashed down on her. But they had prepared for this, they had coordinated, even mentioned this might happen as unlikely as it seemed. She was ready.
The redhead wasted no time, the thugs about them were inconsequential and could be left behind, none of them were so badly injured that they would not survive. Ky did not know what had Dr. Mid-Nite so worried, but she didn’t like it. “Pardon me Mr.Grant but--” Without really waiting, the tiny youth easily lifted the grown man up into her arms bridal style, making sure none of his limbs were askew. “It’s faster this way”
Ky raced eastward, following the roads that ran over the main sewer line. She focused hard on the sounds coming up from under concrete and dirt, having to ignore said focus being torn away by the sounds of the city above ground and the never ending growling complaints of Wildcat.
Eventually though, she heard the crashing and crumbling of concrete; could almost feel the trembling from the sewers below and she skidded to a halt. Her heels dug out trenches in the street as she trotted to a halt, ruining the pavement only moderately. Ky huffed as she set Wildcat down, more focused on following the banging sound under their feet then her fellow JSAer.
Ky only gave Wildcat a cursory glance; her expression grim and stoic. “Stand back” Without waiting for him to move, the Kryptonian slammed her feet into the ground; the rocks beneath her buckling and crumbling downwards into a circular crate. Her muscles tightened and bunched before she sprang straight up, jetting up into the air a good thirty feet above one of the near by buildings.
Ky determined she was high enough and rotated her body as she began to plummet back down to the earth, both fists stuck out before her so that they took most of the impact. Her body hit the earth like a mack truck, busting through concrete and earth straight down into the main sewer line. She underestimated her strength and punched through a little bit farther than she anticipated; but to her credit the hole she created that opened the sewer line to the street above was only a mere ten yards away from where Solomon Grundy was assaulting Carpenter.
The young Kryptonian found herself surrounded by dirt and rubble and some sort of stinky brown water. Ky scrambled to pull herself out of the mess and dig her way back to the water way.

“Whoop! Oh geez!” Wildcat said in shock as the younger, smaller girl picked him up and ran off. He hooked his arms around her neck and looked ahead to make sure she wasn’t going to crash through any buildings in a reckless fury. Sure she was capable of running clear through a building, but he sure knew he wasn’t. There were a few close calls, but with enhanced sight, he decided not to criticize the speeding Kryptonian as she bounded through the Gotham City streets. As she came to a stop, and let him down he brushed himself off.
“A little warning would be nice next time, blue eyes.” Wildcat sniffed and looked up immediately taking Ky’s advice and took three long steps back. “Criminey.” The boxer muttered as she demolished the streets stopping three cars in their tracks as they broke hard before reaching the crater.
Grundy stood up and screamed his roar shook the foundations beneath them, swiping his hands around as he stood up unsure of what was around him. “The ink grenade…” Carpenter coughed as she was being helped up by Mid-Nite. “He’s blind, who-… where’s that coming from?” the vampire inquired hearing the third and fourth crash. “It’s Ky, backup has arrived. You okay, Noelle?” Mid-Nite asked getting her on her feet.
“Yeah. I can stand… thanks.” Carpenter responded then spitting out a large chunk of blood and coagulated dirt. “Just knocked the wind outta me.” She held her head and tried her best to get out of Grundy’s way. The beast lifted both of his arms again and struck the sides of the sewer walls. It was just then that the dark figure dropped on to the zombie beast, digging his claws into Solomon’s neck to hold on.
“Somebody kick this guy on his ass!” Wildcat yelled as Grundy scraped his back to try to get him off.
