Her evening glass of wine came a bit quicker today – at noon, actually.
Running her fingers through her thick, raven curls and holding a rather full glass in the other, Sofia strutted around her Father’s penthouse. She had made herself at home during his absence, as well as taking many other liberties as well. She glanced over to Angelo who appeared to be sharpening a blade of some sort. She scowled, which seemed to be an automatic reaction to almost anything that Sofia witnessed. “You are so medieval.” Sofia declared with a sigh, though after her recent handful of encounters she was glad to have such a loyal guard at her side.
The glass of white wine met her lips once more and she took a hearty sip. She needed to start getting ready for her engagement at Iceberg later that evening. With the hopes of staying on Cobblepott’s good side, she had accepted his invitation at her most recent dinner party to come and waste more of her money at his casino. With a couple of drinks in her system it wouldn’t be too terribly hard disposing of her dear father’s money to a corrupt house. Still she was eager to slip into the tight ensemble that Rocco had sent her straight from Italy. It was as equally expensive as it was revealing, and it was sure to accentuate her hourglass frame.
The brunette sucked in her cheeks. “How long do you think it will take the old man to find out about my little encounter with the clown?” She asked Angelo, knowing he was only going to give her a realistic answer rather than the one that she wanted to hear. While he was practically attached to Sofia’s side, he was loyal to both members of the Falcone family. She knew he would never speak unless asked about the matter, though she didn’t doubt that he would provide her father with the facts that she had been relentlessly trying to smoother. “I should have just killed the fool while I had the chance and blamed it on one of the other freak shows.”
Carmine Falcone had eyes in the back of his head as well as all around the city. How she managed to steal from him for so long without being caught required an endless amount of effort - though in return fueled her with a constant paranoia. Still, that was the least of her concerns at the moment. There were many other present matters that she had to sort out before she spoke to the man – which would be much, much sooner than she expected.
Surrendering to the hearty glass of wine once more, she plopped down in one of the stylish armchairs facing the bay window that overlooked the city.
