After her recent encounter with the infamous Clown Prince of Crime and the less-than-reputable Falcone Family, Summer felt as though a change of pace was in order. With the help of some of her friends and co-workers, she had her lavish home packed up in a matter of hours – a task that might have taken her ages with her collection of injuries. Other than a great deal of bruises and scrapes that covered a majority of her body, the only severe injury was the broken ribs that she had fractured by cracking them on the sharp edge of the vat. She could still see the haunting green glow and his demented smile every time she closed her eyes. On little sleep and a great amount of painkillers, she found herself little help during the progression of the move. She had told everyone that she had been mugged, rather than admitting the true story. Little questioned it and instead showered the helpless heroine with sympathy.
Her new home was beautiful and a step up aesthetically. The modern, cottage-style home was the first she could officially call her own. After living in an apartment ever since she moved from her childhood home, it was a new chapter in her life to consider herself a homeowner. Living on the North side of town was another new adjustment – at least, the terrain greatly differed from the South side. Spring flowers surrounded her new home and while it certainly wasn’t the most lavish home, it suited her needs and it catered to her style.
Her stuff was finally unloaded, the friendly faces had left and the sun was about to set. The moving van pulled away. All of her stuff was still in boxes, scattered throughout her new 2-bedroom home. She took a moment and sighed to break the silence. It was going to be a great effort to actually arrange the place how she wanted. As of now she wasn’t even sure she had enough to fill the home, but that could be fixed within a couple of shopping trips.
The redhead indulged in a hot shower that eventually had her reduced to tears when the rolling steam reminded her of that day she was pulled off the streets and left to wonder around his factory-funhouse. Once she pulled herself together, she dried herself off and began to address her healing wounds. Her ribs ached, signaling that it was almost time to surrender to more pain medicine. After she was dressed and her hair towel-dried, she moved to her new kitchen in search of the prescription that was sure to be the only thing to help her sleep tonight. Well – that….and she was apparently living in the safest part of Gotham City.

After his recent encounters with the batfamily, Jason only felt it was right to follow up by chasing down the Joker and serving his justice. Batman probably was not too far behind him but he didn't care so long as he got the answers he was looking for. He heard about Ms. Gleeson's encounter with the Clown Prince and only found it right that he ask her for answers.
It was a stormy night, the rain trickling down his helmet as he managed to sneak into the young redhead's home through a unlocked window. He chuckled as he thought she should know better then to leave her window open, unless there was a legitimate reason behind it. Red Hood snuck throughout her apartment and finally made his way to the kitchen.
"Ms. Gleeson" He began, his voice breaking the silence in her new home. "I have questions, and you better have answers" He snapped, putting his hand on the holster of one of his pistols. "Or else we're going have ourselves quite a problem.." He spoke, gently raising it from it's holster to signal he meant business.
"I need to know where the Joker is hiding at, and you better not lie to me." He shot out again, taking a step forward. If he needed to, he wasn't going to go easy.

Leaning against the counter, she poured herself a glass of white wine and struggled to open the bottle of painkillers. The two were not a proper combination by any means, but it was all she could do anymore to force herself into a nightmare-filled sleep. When a voice broke the silence, she smiled for a moment. She knew he would come for her, to question her if anything. Even if it was hard to talk about what had happened, his presence alone would make her feel safe. She nearly dropped the large prescription bottle with the startle. With some difficulty she turned around to face who she assumed was the Batman. “I figured you wou-“ Summer stopped midsentence when she noted the vibrant red mask. “You’re not….” A sick and familiar feeling returned to the pit of her empty stomach.
Looking the man up and down, his helmet shield a majority of his face. Her green eyes quickly focused on his hand, now hovering over one of the guns strapped to his side. “No…no….get out and stay away from me!” She demanded in response to his threat, grabbing a nearby box cutter and wielding the blade. Summer moved away from him, her other hand cradling her injured side as she made her way to the opposite side of the kitchen island.
Was he with the Falcones? He seemed to fit their aggressive nature. She had already had her brief encounter with the feared family as they had their own questions for the redhead, formerly a captive of the Joker himself. “I told them everything I knew and they said I could go. I don’t have any new information….and if I do, I know to go to the restaurant. This was not the arrangement.” Was he with the Falcones? Or perhaps another angry individual who was scorned by the Joker as well?

Red Hood chuckled at her fear, this was truly how to get what he wanted. "What?" He said, tilting his head to the site. "You think i'm apart of some gang?" He chuckled as he shook his head and pulled out a gun. "You are mistaken, Ms. Gleeson. I'm new in town, and i'm serving Gotham the justice it needs." He commented, examining her.
"I'm looking to do what needs to be done, I'm doing what the Batman wont, I am taking care of the Joker and last I checked you were a recent victim of his stupid assaults." He clicked the gun. " For your safety, and the safety of Gotham tell me where the damn clown is." He said, gruff and harsh.
He was taking care of the clown, doing what Bruce never could. Granted this wasn't one of the best things to do when it came to his image, especially against a petite girl like this. The thunder finally broke through the storm, booming out it's roar as Jason continued to stand in the presence of this woman demanding answers.
She seemed to have mistaken him for someone else, but he almost instantly knew who it was. It was the Batman, the protector of Gotham who probably manipulated Summer into giving answers for her protection. He wasn't like Batman, so he wasn't going to show her the mercy that Batman does.

The horrible – yet familiar mix of emotions returned. To think that once upon a time she was a girl who longed for some excitement in her life and now it seemed as though the adventure was nonstop. She blinked in shock, opening her mouth trying to search for the words that she was looking for. “Well, t-then who are you?” So he wasn’t with the Falcone’s’, who had served as both her saviors and antagonists that day that the Joker decided to mistake her for the bat-themed heroine.
“And how does one obtain justice by breaking in entering and holding women at gunpoint?” She asked, the venom returning to her voice as she eyed his weapon. Her gaze soon returned back to the mask-type device he wore on his head. His voice was harsh, hardly fitting the tone of someone that was willing to help. She wasn’t sure what was behind the tone, though anger was evident. She cringed as an audible click sounded from the gun. “Look, there are two different patrol cars outside my house as we speak. All I have to do is notify them in one way or another. So please, put the gun down.”
The deafening blow of thunder caused the lights in the other room to flicker. She didn’t take the noise of the rain into account, surely it would disguise any of the sounds in the house. Summer needed to get to her phone and send them a text to know that something was wrong. The redhead reached for the device carefully as she indulged the mysterious man with part of her story. If he didn't back off, her next move was to make a break past him and sprint out the front door toward said cars.
“Look, that ridiculous tabloid claimed that I was Batgirl and within an hour I was being dragged into a van by a bunch of clown-masked freaks. I don’t know where he took me.” She closed her eyes, finding it almost painful to recall. “I can remember some of the landmarks on the way there…and I can remember what it looked like….but there is no way that he is still there.” Summer informed. “He’s moved on to a new place by now. The place was destroyed by the Falcone’s, gunfire and that….that….it’s some horrible green acid stuff.” An involuntary shiver raced down her spine. She had been so close to becoming one with the substance.

Red Hood chuckled when she asked his name. "Who I am, who I was...is not important" He was telling the truth, there was no reason to tell her his name or who he was, when all she was going to do is turn it into the GCPD records and have him come up deceased.
"You expect me to give into the threat of authority?" Jason taunted. "Clearly, we need to get to know each other better." He holstered his gun, and took out a knife. She was right, any GUN shot would attract cops but would a knife?
As long as he kept a gloved hand around her mouth, maybe even used whatever was in his belt he could definitely take the advantage. He listened to what she said, her story seemed valid enough.
"Remind me to pay the Falcones a visit then, but still. I can't settle on the fact that the crime was so recent, yet you cant say a word about where he is." Jason's own insanity was visible at this point, his decaying mind coming out from the broken memories he so horribly suffered at the hands of fate. "So stop lying to me." With that, he took advances towards her with his knife at the ready.
One scream, and he'd be out of luck...but he was hoping she was smart enough not to scream.

Her chest rose and fell as she watched him lower his gun, only to trade it for a knife. Great, that didn’t exactly lessen the severity of her situation. What did this man want with the information that she possessed? His unexpected presence alone is what bothered her most of all. While she was unwilling to relive not one, not two, but three encounters with the Clown Prince of Crime himself, she didn’t need to. “It’s important to me, if you expect me to tell you anything you need to tell me who you are” She asked again, raising her voice over the thunder.
She was hoping the threat of the police might result in his leave, but he only taunted her. “I’d rather not.” She scoffed, her eyes falling from the knife, to the living room. “I’m not lying to you! Everything I just said was the truth.” The redhead insisted, however, she was done talking. Grabbing one of the decorative vases from the island surface, she launched it at him with a great deal of force.
With a bit of difficulty, her hand seized her side to cradle and started to sprint toward the front door. Thunder boomed outside and she could see the lightening illuminate the night sky through the sheer curtains. She needed to make it to the door, the cops were right outside patrolling her home. They would notice something was wrong and come to her rescue. The door was in her sight, as she raced toward it.
She hadn't yet made it to the door, but she started shouting for the detectives the moment she reached the foyer.

Red Hood smirked beneath his helmet, she was a fighter. Only problem was the fact that the cops were right outside that door. With one motion, Jason whipped out his gun beside his knife and attempt to catch up with the running redhead. It didn't take him long unfortunately as in minutes he was holding the cold barrel of the gun against her head. He clicked it again, to remind her that the gun was loaded.
"Call the cops, and it'll be the last thing you ever did." He taunted. If she wanted to play that game, she clearly didn't know what she was dealing with. He had years of experience with Batman, he knew just how easy it can be to evade cops with the right movements and now that he had guns, the task would become a lot easier.
She clearly didn't know where Joker was, that much was obvious but it didn't stop Jason from trying to use her. Her connections to the social media, and the media as a whole would definitely benefit him. He would wait for her reaction to move onto his next proposal. If she wasn't going to play fair, neither was he.
As if the gun wasn't enough, he still had his knife to take her down with if she didn't go down easy.

The pain from her ribs radiated throughout her entire abdomen. The doctor had limited her physical activity and this certainly pushing the boundaries. She hurried toward the door, only to be thwarted once again. He was fast – clearly. He had snuck into her home like an unnoticed shadow. It was foolish to think she might be able to outrun him, especially in her condition. Summer wasn’t sure how much more of the torment that she could take. While the last thing that she wanted to actually do was comply, it was difficult.
She closed her eyes as she felt the cool metal against her porcelain skin. Adrenaline raced through her petite frame. Her heart was beating so loudly that she could hear it in her ears. “Please – If you want him so badly, I-I can call you. It’s only a matter of time before he comes back for me. He’s relentless.” She admitted. After the information that she had dared to reveal to the Falcone Dynasty about the clown, she was sure that the news would spread fast. It seemed as though even when she tried to avoid the Joker’s affairs he managed to suck her right back into them.
Phone in one hand and nothing in the other, she rose them slightly, the bright screen faced toward him so that he could see she hadn’t dared to call them – just yet anyway. Surely if he wanted to kill her, he would by now. She was also incredibly curious as to who he was. The screen showed the number of the detective that currently sat in the patrol car outside. She could press it at any moment to call him if she needed too. After all, he was armed and she was not. She didn’t want to take any chances with the mysterious stranger.

"I expect you to keep up to your word, Ms. Gleeson." He said stiffly. "If not, you'll be meeting the business end of my gun or the Joker's for that matter and this time the cops won't be there for you to rely on." He holstered his gun and knife, no longer in need of injuring her.
Thunder roared and shook the new house as the power shot out, consuming the two in complete darkness. "and if I find out you've ratted me to the cops, expect the same result." He said as he readied his exit. He had no use for her, not anymore anyway.
She had proven her uselessness in this situation. She didn't know where Joker was, and he was losing his patience on the subject. He wanted his vengeance on the clown, and he wanted it now.
The thunder roared and a small flash of lightning illuminated the room before the power finally came back on to reveal the absence of the Red Hood who had used the darkness to sneak out of her apartment.
He stood on the rooftop adjacent to the house, the cops also unknown to his presence as he set up a camera linked to her apartment. If anyone was to come in, a certain bat or clown, or anyone of significance for that matter he would know and he would be there to confront them.
He just hoped she was smart enough not to get herself killed in the future

She released a silent sigh of relief as he put away his weapons. Obviously she wasn’t a threat standing there with broken ribs and countless other injuries that the Joker had left her with. The redheaded beauty pressed her back against a wall as the power went out. Seeing as the home was new she was still struggling to remember where things were in comparison to her old home. However, using the walls as a guide she would be able to get where she needed.
Summer’s heart pounded within her ample chest as she dared to speak through the darkness. “Why do you want to know where he is so badly?” She asked. “He’s mad. You would have to be equally insane to go up against him.” No answer. She stood there, afraid to move.
A crash of lighting illuminated the room and he seemed to have disappeared. “Hello?” She asked and once again no answer. Feeling the wall as a guide, the redhead quickly secured a lighter. Using it to help her find her way she searched each room and closet to determine that he was truly gone.
Summer ran her fingers through her long red hair, pushing it out of her face. Leaning against a wall, she finally found herself able to breath. From there, she went around to make sure each of her windows were secured so that she would not have any more unwanted to guest.
She felt completely exposed. She needed to get out of the house. She wasn’t sure where she would go, but the restless reported quickly found the totes that contained her clothes. Shedding her pajamas and leaving them in a pile on the floor she began to dress herself while carefully avoiding her injuries. Grabbing her keys, phone and purse she started into the storm, eager to put distance between herself and the empty home.
