Tim rolled his eyes and pulled on his headphones as Bruce walked out of the room. He had just gotten the same lecture he got every week. He “wasn’t allowed to work on his own as Robin to the same extent as Dick and Jason were.” Because Tim “Just wasn’t as physically trained or ready as they were.” Tim turned on some music and scrolled through some news pages. For a few minutes, Tim got so angry that he started to think of some awful and shameful things, which could be summed up as “Screw Bruce,” Tim started to scare himself when his mind slipped to a certain dark thought.
Atleast I haven’t died. Tim thought to himself, referencing Jason.
Tim shuddered and went back to the information on his screen. He clicked on his search bar and went to typed in the word “Batman”. He clicked on the News filter and scrolled through the articles, until he found one that caught his attention. The article was titled Bank Robbery Stopped by the Mysterious Batman. Tim clicked on the article and skimmed through it. “The Caped Crusader snuck his way into the bank, and in a few moments, managed to save all the hostages, and return the money to the vaults, before making his quick escape.” Tim scowled as he read the article out loud.
I was the one who saved the hostages Tim thought to himself

Zoo Breakout Stopped by Batman
He wasn’t even there! It was all me!
Tim furiously scrolled through more articles, getting more and more frustrated. Tim closed his laptop and stealthily made his way to the Batcave. He went onto the Batcomputer, paused for a moment, and decided to cut all police scanners to Batman’s phone, cowl, etc., so that Tim would be the only one to receive the calls.
I’ll show him I can hold my own. Tim thought to himself and smirked. He sat down in the chair and thought for a while. After a few minutes, something came over Tim’s police scanner, but not Bruce’s.
“Calling for immediate backup! The Joker is holding a large amount of very important persons hostage at City Hall! I repeat, the Joker is holding a large amount of very important persons hostage at City Hall, calling for immediate backup.”
Tim stood up with a determined look in his eye. He walked over to his costume case and pulled it on. He walked over to his motorcycle and hopped on. He thought for a moment.
Should I really take on the Joker on my own? ...I’ve got to show Bruce what I can do. I’m not gonna be the inferior partner anymore. Tim thought as he pulled on his helmet and drove out of the cave.
Robin sped through the streets of Gotham towards City Hall. When he was near enough to the Hall, he drove into an alley and grappled to a nearby rooftop. He tapped the side of his domino mask, enabling his x-ray, or as he enjoyed calling it, detective vision. He looked into the building, there were armed thugs guarding the front and back entrances of the building, as well as a huge thug, bigger than Batman, patrolling the building. Tim looked around the rest of the building, before finding a small window on the back of the building. He shot a grappling hook onto the top of the building, connected it to his belt, and swung towards the window.
Robin hit the wall of the building next to the window softly, hanging from the grapple line. He slapped a freeze grenade onto the window, making the window and frame brittle. Tim pushed off from the wall, swung out, but this time landed straight on the window. He broke through the window, but it made a bit of a louder noise than he had wanted it to. Luckily, no one else heard it.
Robin stealthily made his way through the rest of the building. He found a vent, and climbed in. Tim made his way through the dusty vent system until he was standing on a vent grate, almost right above where the Joker was. He took in a deep breath, but the vent was so dusty, he started coughing. Tim quickly covered his mouth, hoping no one had heard him. He looked below him, but in what felt like a millisecond, the huge thug jumped up and punched his arm through the grate, grabbed Robin’s leg and pulled him down to the ground. The thug held onto Tim’s leg, and threw him at a wall on the opposite side of the room. Robin slammed against the wall. His body cracked, he could feel at least a few ribs breaking. Tim slid to the ground, almost unconscious. He looked up and saw the large thug running towards him. Robin tried to roll away, but the thug grabbed him by the neck and lifted him into mid-air. The tightened his grip and looked over to his boss, as if to say, What do we do with him?
