Oswald's explosions, particularly the cuff-link which blew a hole in the wall, were still ringing in his ears and adding to the disorientation of the smoke that constantly tried to tempt him in to resting just for a moment. He was going to have such a headache in the morning, it might even be worst than the one he had now.
He tried to keep his focus on the hole in the wall, all he had to do was shoot Joker, then everything would be fine. He just had to stay fixed on that, he could rest afterwards.
His reaction to the marbles was slightly delayed by his swirling head but he recognised what their purpose likely was soon afterwards with a panicked squawk, he was after all an expert of stolen technology and had used something similar, possibly reverse engineered from Joker's version, just moments ago.
Opening his umbrella again Oswald sheltered behind it just moments before the blast. The best tech went in to Oswald's things and his umbrella was the most impressive of his toys. The bullet storage and firing systems had a habit of melting itself when tampered with so it was very hard to tell how that worked or indeed how he also had room for some additional blades in it. There were no clear buttons to fire the thing with, fiddling with it and holding it wrong often resulted in one of those blades coming on of the handle so it had taken a few fingers with it before. Perhaps most impressive these days though was the fabric on it, it was light, flexible and looked like any normal umbrella but open it and stretch the fabric out and it was ridiculously strong and could stop all but a point blank shot. It stopped the shrapnel from the explosion very well but it could do nothing against the force of the blast and getting knocked back in to the wall was one thing too many even for a hard head like Oswald's. Oswald fought for consciousness for one more moment but finally lost the battle, slumping against the wall.
On the streets of Gotham meanwhile there was a panic of running and screaming people, all acting on the good sense to get as far as they could from the sounds of explosives as fast as they could. The cops had reports from everywhere and had begun shutting down the roads as they called for backup. All this was making it very difficult for Oswald's backup to get through and they'd had to summon the helicopter, dressed up in it's news station colours, just to get an eye on the scene. While a few might sneak around most of Oswald's men were stuck trying not to draw police attention their way.
