OK! That may have not been the smartest move. Keep fighting til they were down. All of them! And where was this leaving any other problem....left them delayed and to be dealt with after hand.
Oooo! Maybe not the smartest idea that night. Taking down the thugs had not been as short and painless as he though it would be. Not when some of the thugs knew some formal fight training. And guns. Had he forgotten to mention guns?
Yeah, not exactly the smartest move he had taken that night. And maybe not the best way to try and take them down.
Not like he couldn't handle. Which he had in fact handled it. And he was still in tact. There would just be maybe a few new scars is all.
All Batman needed to know was the group was handled. Nightwing had intercepted the information before the Outsiders had and taken it on his own. Wrong idea? Don't think so. The gun was a bit more on the side of being a surprise....
He had handled the first few but it was being slammed into the one thug that had been a bit off the attack plan.
The guy had pulled a gun at the last minute as Nightwing had been slammed into him.
The gun had pretty much been point blank at Nightwing's side. Though the armor had done little to slow it down. Enough the bullet hadn't gone all the way through Nightwing's body.
Ok, so he had been fighting with a bullet in his side. And not to mention there was blood. How much? Not sure. He didn't stop to check. Enough though.
Dick knew he only had minutes before the blood loss would take effect. And he had rushed to finish them off. Thankful for the stock system in his escrima sticks he finished them off quicker. Leaving them for the police to deal with as he ran off. More stumbled than ran.
He just had to keep checking his vitals. His mask picking up the reading of his heart rate. Shit! He hoped Alfred or Bruce were not checking the computer system. He had no time to waste trying to block their system. Dick needed to get medical help. Maybe more than what Alfred would be able to provide on the spot.
There was only one person within his location he could trust. And it wasn't long before he had gotten there after getting his motorcycle to catch up to him.
Dr. Thompkins. A close personal friend of the family. More than just the Wayne family.
Shit! Shit...he was losing his focus as he tried to keep control of the bike. The bike lost control and skid across the pavement of the alley. All lights had been off on it for more stealth as he got closer.
No so bad a park job for now. Nightwing managed to hang on enough. He stagger back up and picked the bike up and hid it in the alley out of sight.
Now wasn't the time to start blacking out! He had a few more minutes. Nightwing jolted into action and got to the floor level of the office he was looking for.
Pushing open the window, he stumbled into the large office.
"You know this isn't a safe part of town...," Dick gasped in pain as he hit the floor the left side with the bullet. "You should really lock...your windows."
He was still trying to keep it pleasant even thorough the pain. He was the chatty one. Better to keep him conscious.
Nightwing started to get back onto his feet, hunched over a bit as he tried to keep himself focused. Finally he was able to get to the buttons to try and shut the system down. He didn't want Bruce or Alfred to know his vitals or his location.
They probably weren't paying attention. At least he hoped not tonight. He had acted a bit brash on that attack. Not the smartest move?
"Sorry to drop in..unannounced," Nightwing spoke as he winced in pain and went to his knees.
