[This thread is the slow thread for The Robinson Park Spooktacular. All regular posting rules apply, including turn order. Remember! Any one character may only be in one of the three Spooktacular threads at any given time, though they may leave one area and join another.] The enclosed pavilion offers protection both from the cold of the outside as well as the noise, offering a very different environment for guests who prefer a bit less chaos. The space is dominated by an open area for mingling, or possibly dancing if the guests prefer, though there are plenty of tables for those who would prefer to sit as they socialize. A live jazz band is offering their take on Halloween music, filling the room with soft music meant to be a backdrop to the conversation rather than to take over. There's an open and very well supplied bar here, and the bartender stands ready to make anything he's asked. And card anyone who appears to be under 25. Waiters walking through the pavilion are offering an assortment of foods including chocolate dipped strawberries with orange icing drizzled on top, deviled eggs, chocolate truffles, pigs in a blanket shaped like fingers, dried fruits, spaghetti for anyone wanting something more substantial, and pretty much any sort of baked good that includes pumpkin that one could imagine.

There was a lot of things Zahira was somewhat new to, apart from Gotham itself. Holidays, such as Halloween… Were not completely unknown, they were just far more low key than perhaps this part of the world was. With even the parts of Egypt that celebrated, Zahira had not been one of them. Whether it really was by choice or just circumstances, she was often one to keep to herself. Disciplined , one could say, but now Zahira was pretty much in it. Such a holiday as Halloween was practically out her door step, why not venture out and see what would happen. Not that Zahira had been in great excitement on the announcement of this party or really hesitant. A little curious, perhaps. The idea of people dressing up as monsters and creatures. There was somewhat of an unsettling, knowing just how real that could be… Just how real she was. Perhaps with a night like this, Zahira could almost walk down the street openly with her fangs and she could possibly blend in… That was definitely something to ponder over, but she was never one to flaunt what she was. So she had decided to go for something a little different. A mummy or a pharaoh could be an option, but still not quite different enough… Then there was still the issue, she wasn’t exactly wealthy. So her choice had to be simple and either cheap or homemade. It ended up being a little of both. A cheap singlet like black body suit, to which she spray painted on a skeleton like body on to it, not overly well, but the point of it was there… A skeleton was scary enough right? It was perhaps a little sad in ways she was almost use to death, at least staring right back at her in the face. As Zahira had face painted her face to go with the outfit, simple, but effective. Covering her entire face, so it did allow the benefit of not being so easily recognised, not that she was overly known… Finished with black short boots. Her black jacket and a little skeletal decorations she made for her hands. Her black hair was out and teased to be a little on the unkept side. Of course it wasn’t until she was outside and amongst the festivities in Robinson Park, just how widely celebrated this holiday was or how into some could be with their costumes.
After getting herself through the entrance to this party, Zahira had certainly quickly found herself in the mids of it all. From the crazy goons running around with axes and a lot of pumpkins with faces. Lights, everywhere, that was quite a nice touch. Along with the falling off the leaves, coloured in reds and yellows. This almost seemed the colours of autumn and the hint that winter wasn’t far behind… It was already getting low in the temperatures. Of course being cold blooded as she was, allowed her to feel it just that little bit more than your average person. So naturally her attention seemed to be more drawn to the Peaceful Pavilion. The games and up beat music, would probably take her a little warming up to do… The robust strings of Jazz instruments, most certainly felt more inclined to pull her in… Along with the warmth of the room, as Zahira entered the dim-lit room, with a somewhat red glow to it all, it was perhaps tucked a little more away from the other activities going on, but it most certainly was still very much with the theme of halloween. With decently mingling crowd already, but she still somewhat felt like the lone wolf. Or lone skeleton. Moving her way through the room, she soon found the drinks and found herself with a bizarre looking concoction. Non-alcoholic, but she was sure something moved, but it nevertheless tasted, well also bizarre, but good after a while… With drink in hand, she then finds herself a rather empty table, but a good spot from the stage to enjoy the music. Observe if nothing else. Whilst being offered some of the food. Soon finding herself a small plate with dried fruits, decorated strawberries it would seem and a couple of soul cakes. Zahira had been quite curious to try these cakes, she had lesser of a sweet tooth than potentially a curios nature for history, but it most certainly delectable as Zahira happily took a bite. Despite her costumes suggesting she was potentially past eating. Lightly brushing off crumbs that fell upon her skeletal thighs. Quietly sipped at her drink and enjoyed the music.

Garfield arrived at the park in no time; there is very little traffic for birds after all; and the green shifter had flown most of the way as a large green eagle carrying a cane. But once in view of the park he returned to his normal form while in midair; only to shift into a swarm of bats that descended onto the walkpath only to reform into the vampiric disguised human form. Now the swarm of bats were able to get a reaction out of some bystanders; but any fear was replaced by understanding when they saw it was a known hero making an entrance. After all; not many people could pull off the fabulous green skin and remain unknown to the general public; and a career in acting would only make it harder to keep himself anonymous.
But with a smirk that showed off the fangs Garfield made his way to the entrance and paid to get in. Though as he reached the crossway that would lead him to the first of three sections; and while the idea of dancing or games caught his eye; a part of his body a little lower demanded to be addressed. So in order to sate his hunger Garfield made his way to the pavilion where the soft music was playing. Right away the green skinned man collected up a number of the vegetarian friendly foods and a red grape cocktail to have a non-alcoholic drink that appeared to be a red wine from the passing waiters and the bartender; after which he began to seek out a spot to sit at. At which point he saw a woman sitting alone in a skeleton outfit; and he made his way over from behind the loner only to speak in an accent that was supposed to match Dracula's from movies; except the phrasing was not very fitting. "Hey.~ Mind if I join your table? I promise not to bite without your permission." And with that last bit Garfield couldn't help but chuckle lightly; and popped a strawberry into his mouth as he awaited Zahira's response.

Very much alone and yet Zahira didn’t exactly feel lonely. Being alone wasn’t entirely new to her, so perhaps she just got a little used to it if this was what it felt to be lonely. Though there were plenty of people within the pavilion, mingling, seated elsewhere or dancing. There was that little mild chatter through the music, Zahira wasn’t overly nosy, but she was naturally the observing type. She’d more often prefer to listen than to speak, well unless spoken to of course. Zahira couldn’t say she expect any company, so it was certainly was a little surprising, not leaping out of her skin shocked, but still surprising as a voice came up behind her. Was he talking to her? Of course that had to be questioned, as Zahira with a slight timbered look around her shoulder, followed by a slight warming smile as she realised he was talking to her. ”Oh, no… By all means. Join!“ Zahira replied honestly with a simple shake of her head and showed a simple hand gesture to the empty seats. With subtleness of her quiet nature, though most were probably lost or hidden behind her make-up. Her dark eyes steadied on the new comer, but did not linger to straight in his eyes. Enough to see he was dressed as a vampire? She just assumed from the pointy teeth, though the emerald skin threw her off a little, one could say she was very very low on her movie knowledge, though sure she knew vampires from tales told over time and well, the comparisons one could of course easily make… Although, as the young vampire before her jokes and ultimately shows his teeth, she’s convinced who’s fangs are sharper. Then again, one can never be to careful. ”Hmmm, well, that all depends on how sharp your teeth are." Zahira responds subtly playful. Noting as her eyes wander, he has cute hair. With a subtle look at her own teeth as she spoke, but no fangs insight. Least for now, they were tucked away. Though it would be out of place to not run her tongue subtly over them, at the very least.
Awaiting the young vampire to take a seat, whether opposite her or next to her. That was really up to him. Suppose she should have gotten to her feet, she really wasn’t much with customs, especially in this part of the world, though really in most of the world. She pulled apart one of the soul cakes and ate a little. It was delicate and sweet. Not too sweet, but certain tried to hit some spot. Whilst Zahira rolled around in her mind subtle, the accent of which the young vampire spoke. Given she was not in the know of movies etc, she just simply wasn’t familiar with it, but certainly made her curious. ”Your accent… I have not heard of it before, where is it from…? If you do not mind me asking?" As Zahira asked, with a subtle play of her eyes, that she was sincere in the fact it was new to her and uncommon. Though, perhaps it was something that one would assume is common, she just wasn’t in the know. Who was she to know it was put on or his? She was still very much new to this country. Brushing her fingers of crumbs gently, as she brought her hands back, before extending a hand to the young vampire… ”I’m Zahira, its nice meeting you!" Zahira introduced herself, perhaps she could have gone with something different to go with her costume, but nothing really jumped out. Offering to shake hands, thats assuming vampires shake hands? With little chances of biting, but she had no fear. Biting was almost natural to her.

The first look Zahira made to Garfield prompted the green skinned man to smile and bow lightly. But then he pulled out a chair and sat close beside the woman; but not close enough for him to bump into her. Though when he responded he dropped the accent, "Hehe, thank you. How sharp my teeth are? Well that does change at times. But now I am a bit glad I didn't ask to suck your blood." It was then that Garfield tossed another bit of his food into his mouth; snapping his mouth shut with an audible 'click' of his teeth. After all the woman did play with the biting joke.
But then Zahira questioned his accent; and Garfield laughed a little; it either was good enough for it to sound real; or it was bad enough to not be recognizable for what it was meant to be. "Oh I actually was trying to sound like I am from Transylvania. I wanted to mimic Dracula's voice." Then when Zahira finally introduced herself and presented her hand the man gave her the smoothest smile he could and took her hand by the fingers; and brought his mouth to kiss her knuckles; not necessarily common but he was dressed as a lord and he thought they may greet a lady in that way. "Oh the pleasure is mine.~ And my name is Garfield. But you can call me Gar if you'd like."[/color] And after this little introduction Garfield released Zahira's hand and sat up straight once more.

It certainly didn’t go unnoticed as the young man before Zahira smiled. Whilst she may not be the type to give you such good eye contact, she was certainly still observing enough… With perhaps slightly more questions than answers right about now, which naturally made her curious. Responding in kind with a subtle play of a smile, at least he was up front with the belated threat of biting, but she needed little reassurance he was mostly chomping at nothing. Simple banter, he meant well. She was sure, though it perhaps bid well to know her own bite was most likely more lethal, she smiled mostly on the inside at that thought, but she expressed a light smile as the man expressed his bite could change. Perhaps there was more to that than met her eye…. Hmmm, now that was a thought. What exactly would happen if one was to suck her blood? Whatever would happen, she expected nothing good would come out of it… ”Well, I am more like a bag of bones, than a blood bag." Zahira played along in response, noting the obvious state of her costume and the lack of pound flesh. ”I don’t think I’d even be much of a snack." Zahira added with a humous darkly chuckle, as her evenly darker eyes grazed the young vampire siting closely now beside her. In theory he either had poor chase in food or better choice in company, in theory. She was throughly out her element she was sure, if she found this amusing.
A gentle sweep of her loose dark strands of hair. Zahira remained comfortable in her seat, perhaps a little more up right given the new company, but nonetheless. Comfortable. Though still very much new to a lot of things. This party included. Food, certainly helped. As Zahira picked neatly at her plate. Carefully catching something out of her teeth, whilst not exposing any fangs of her own. Before resting an elbow on the table and her chin upon her hand. Listening as the young Vampire responded… Transylvania. Zahira played over in her mind as it had rolled off his tongue. After a little mind searching. ”Romania..?" Zahira questioned, perhaps a little thinking out loud. Well, Duh of course Transylvania was in Romania… ”That actually makes sense… I never knew Dracula originated from Romania… Then again I really don’t know anything about Dracula… Apart from a cape… Sharp teeth… Taste for blood and apparently beautiful skin. “ As Zahira continued to think out loud a little, as if her eyes became open to something new or seeing something from a slightly different light. Perhaps it had struck her mind so much before given it wasn’t exactly true history, but there was history in there nonetheless. If anyone should understand mystery and myths in a history, it was definitely Zahira. She wasn’t completely brushed up on her Romanian history, but she could see little things that was certainly tied to that culture, least a 100 or so years ago… Admitting she knew little… Very little in anything Dracula. Despite the comparisons she got to vampires… Noting what she was picking up from him alone. This was certainly the first real visual of Dracula… Green skin and all…. She took her chin off her hand, long enough for Dracula to take it and kiss it? Zahira didn’t detest to it, but there was certainly a slightly questionable look on her face. Somehow that came off a little more british than Romanian, but what she to know. Where she came from a kiss on the hand, was certainly not something you expected… She happily took back her hand as he let go and admitted a smile as he spoke, whilst introducing himself… Not Dracula, but perhaps more adventurous name… ”Which do you prefer?" Zahira asked in response as Garfield offered a shorter version if she liked. She didn’t feel she knew him enough to make that decision, though she was flattered he would offer her that, but she prefer to be respectful. It was his name. Possibly visible she hasn’t had a lot of friends in her life.
