As Charlotte attempts to focus on her homework, she's finding it slow going today. Right now her mind would rather drift off into some vegetative state than to do algebra, even though it's gotten easier since she started working with Barbara. There's a hundred other things that she'd rather be doing right now, and its as if her mind is failing to function in protest of the fact that she's not doing any of them. But since this homework is due tomorrow, that puts her and her attention span into a bit of a stalemate.
Climbing up off of her bed where she'd been lounging around with her notepad and textbook, she paces the room for a moment trying to figure out what she needs to do to get this done. After a moment, the window catches her eye. It's a beautiful day outside - a bit cooler since summer is winding down but still very warm and sunny. Just about perfect. A part of her is still a little more used to being outside than in, regardless of the weather, and when it's actually nice it feels a bit more like she's missing out on something.
With that thought in mind, she pulls out her cellphone and sends Selina a text.A change of scenery would likely help a lot. Throwing what she'll need into her backpack and grabbing a blanket to spread out on the grass, she heads out. Robinson Park is literally just across the street so it's only minutes later that she's spreading the blanket out in a nice, shady spot not far from one of the trails. There we are - much better! Spreading herself and her stuff out on it, she pulls out her textbook and notepad again and refocuses on her work. Yeah, this should be much better!
