Edward paced next to the dock. His layered suit clung to him. The summer night plus the moisture in the air from the water, made it feel strangely humid for Gotham. He pulled out his question mark pocket square, wiping his face of the sweat that seemed to kept appearing. He didn’t particularly like meeting near the dock, it was out of the way, and always smelled like fish, but for what he needed to discuss, he couldn’t be near security cameras. He already felt paranoid, and anywhere else would have kept his eyes darting everywhere.
Deidre wore the green spandex unitard, her heels over the dock and kicking her feet back and forth as she popped her gum. Allen had an AK-47 over his chest and stayed to Edward’s side. He had worked with Dent a few times in the past, but the man relied far too much on chances, and a flip of that coin could mean a bullet in the gut. The man also had also created a large gang and had become a legitimate Crime Lord, definitely nothing to be flamboyant about, so Edward took extra measures to secure his own safety.
He preferred working with the Penguin when it came to smuggling items into Gotham. The man had class and a deal was easy to come too, but what he wanted was not something he wanted the Penguin to know about.
He pulled out his phone, checking the time. He should be arriving shortly, and if speaking of the devil, a car made a turn and started driving in their direction, blaring their lights brightly into Edward’s face.
Edward grunted in annoyance, using his hand to block out the light as he waited for the man to get out of the car. The lights turned off with the car and the door opened followed by the half and half suit.
He smirked, “Dent, quite an evening if I do say so myself,” he pulled at his own suit to get air to his hot skin, “I never thought I’d be counting the days until Fall. Is that a new suit?” Edward thought quite highly of himself, but he knew the one thing all these criminals liked, it was a few compliments thrown in here and there.
"I forgot how handsome he was, Boss," Deidre said next to his side, twirling her hair like a school girl. He frowned and shot her a glare. She normally was better about keeping her mouth shut.
"You forget a lot of things, dear. It's the problem of having a low IQ," he remarked.
