Gotham City is Batman's city. Where people knew of the legend come to life. Some feared the infamous bat figure. And others saw it as hope for the city. Then there were those that saw the growing vigilantes as menus to society.
Blüdhaven was Nightwing's town. He was making a name for himself. And he was seen as hope for the sister city to Gotham. There was just as much trouble here as there was in Gotham.
Except there were less crazies in this town...or maybe there wasn't...It's not like the Joker was running a muck in this town.
Wait....correction, there were crazies in this town. Just not out to cause as much mayhem as what an Arkham inmate would do. There were other vigilantes.
Speaking of which, Nightwing had gotten more than just the impression of the Huntress treading on his turf.
A local gang of misfits in drug dealing had had an encounter with her the other night. Nothing got pass Nightwing in this town. And one had the right to full the iron fist of justice by killing anyone.
And what Huntress was heading into would cause a mess out of the work Nightwing was establishing in this town.
She knew where he stood on killing. And this gang was a minor in this town. There were ties to the bigger guns that he had been following.
It was better to wait and strike at the right time. Scare them. Cause damage to their industry. Killing was no exception. Gang fights were one thing. The police and vigilantes can only cover so much ground. And Dick had a way of trying to cover both shifts day and night.
Though the police did not really care for Nightwing's influence in their town as well. Well a good majority of them saw the positive difference Nightwing was making in the town. That was going to be an on going battle.
Nightwing had made it to a new construction yard just outside of the central city. It was to be a knew office building. But Nightwing knew it was in the shady end of this city.
And he had a feeling Huntress would be tracking her way down here.
Nightwing's assumption was confirmed as he hid away in the trusses of the building. They had gotten that far into the construction of the building. He had an arial view of the grounds. And there was movement. His night vision allowed for him to see it better.
He let himself free fall for a while before he cause onto another beam and swung off from there to cut off the moving figure.
"Why the hurry? I heard you were in town," Nightwing confronted her.

The Huntress had been following a lead. Some low punk gang was trying to make business with the big mobs in Gotham. She was here to make sure their delusions of grandeur stayed just that, delusions. Helena didn’t want these kid, because that’s what they were, to think that this path was worth anything. Sure her methods were more brutal that the rest of these so called heroes, but that was the only way people listened. Hand holding wasn’t her best attribute.
When her life’s annoyance made his presence even more known, she let out an audible groan as she rolled her eyes. And turned to face the man. “Don’t you have something better to do? Or am I doing it?” She crossed her arms over her chest, her cape moving forward to close in front of her. She narrowed her eyes behind mask and tightened her jaw. She let her eyes settle on him for a moment and then she shook her head. “Nope…not letting you do it…” She smirked and turned her back to him as she walked ahead of him.

"Ouch," Nightwing replied at first. "You cut me deep Huntress."
Ok, maybe he was just being a jerk at this point. Hey, play fire with fire a bit there.
Nightwing stood there before her. Watching the rather harsh reaction he was getting from Huntress. Not exactly the cold shoulder. But the body language was enough of a hit for him.
"Woah, woah. Hold up there," he said as he followed after her.
The smirk, what was that for? This was his town. Sure he might have left on a bit of a sour note with Huntress, but since then, she hadn't let him live it down.
How long did woman really hold a grudge?
Nightwing caught up and pulled out an escrima stick. Essentially blocking her path through the alley way.
"You do realize you're in my town, right," he said. "Any business that hasn't been approved means I'm watching over it."
Ok, now he was just trying to test her a bit. Really what had he do to tick her off?

"Your town? Oh....you're going to play that game now, too? Wow, you really did study under senior grumpy pants." She glared over at him as she snarked her reply to him. She narrowed her eyes further and shook her head. "I'm not asking permission, Nightwing. I'm following a lead, you know how that goes."
She pushed past the escrima and continued to walk forward. More out the need to get away from him.
She pulled out the small computer like device and scrolled through the information that was literally at her fingertips. "But, if you must know, I heard wind of some trading going on. I'm here to check on it."

"And that is exactly why I am here," Nightwing replied.
The smirk did not leave Nightwing's face over Huntress's reaction to him. All fun and games til it would be too much.
He let her have her space when she pushed pass him. Knowing she was irritated with him, but still not fully grasping the full understanding of her logic.
The small, light glow of the computer caught his attention. Something so small wouldn't get passed his line of vision. The information she gave him was little to none, just the run down. So, she was going to play it that way? Either he'd have to figure it out as they went along or she might blind side him.
Nightwing would shrug it off. When it came to winging plans, he was well practiced at that.
"Any other details I can get? I might be able to match it with one of my current cases," Nightwing said.

Okay, she really wanted to stomp her foot on the ground and tell him just to leave her alone. Why do men always persist in being in the way? She may have just felt like she was being a bit militant just then, but she wasn't completely without cause. She turned her eyes slightly, looking back to him as he spoke. She looked down at the scrolling list she had borrowed from GCPDs central booking hub and compiled it with the list of juvenile defenders. It paid to be a teacher sometimes..just not monetarily.
"Okay, you can tag along...." She tried to sound as condescending as she could make it. She wasn't going to let him get the feeling that he was allowed back into her life. She sighed and shook her head. "Don't make me regret this, 'Robin'." Yes, she was going to be mean to him, but hey, he sort of deserved it right? She turned to him, letting her cape flow around her and settle behind her. She pocketed the device and looked up to him. "There's a gang here in town that wants to make a deal with one of the mobs in Gotham....I'm going to make sure none of that happens."

"Would have followed ya any ways," Nightwing commented under his breath.
This was his town and he kept tabs on everyone. Any other thoughts he kept to himself at that time. Huntrss already seemed ticky with him being around. How long did women hold a grudge?
He got some eye contact, that was better than being ignored.
Her comment of calling him Robin, he ignored this. There was no point trying toe defend himself over that comment. It would be a waste of time.
"I know this town better than you do," his tone a bit defensive.
He'd keep it civil, but if she was going to hit below the belt, he'd keep up with their clients, but Huntress was over due for some teasing on his part. Learning her way would be easy to keep tabs on her.
Nightwing walked up to the Huntress. "We're going to have to work together," Dick said. "Can I get a download of your system file for this mission.

"I know you would have. You're tenacious and needy." She smirked as she looked at him and shook her head a little.
Her body language was clear, she felt like he was trying to jump in on her territory, while in fact she was in his town, but that's not how she felt. But she supposed he was worth the hassle.
"Well...maybe..." She retrieved the device and held it out, letting her eyes settle on him as she looked over him for a moment. She could hold a grudge until the end of time, but this was work, she could handle this.

"Really? That's what you think of me," Nightwing retorted. "Like old times."
Nightwing shrugged it off. No point in reacting to this comment. He could tell she was annoyed with him. Though there was a slightly twisted lighter mood between the two.
It seemed they had settled on taunting each other.
If it worked for her, that was fine by him. He'd rather be able work at this time to keep an eye on Huntress in his city.
"Do we had a deal? Or are we going to stand here all night," Nigthwing said as he waited for her to hand over the device.
This was Nightwing, he had his time for fun and business. And right now it was business when another vigilante was in his town.

She sighed and offered the device over to him. With a slightly begrudging grunt. "Have at it." Her arms crossed once again as she looked the other way while he was allowed to peruse through the data.
All of the files were meticulous observations of the routines and dealings of Gotham crime families, and their contacts in the surrounding areas. It was after all Helena's obsession. Her family may not have been around anymore, but she still had extended family who survived the Bertinelli slaughter. And those people were still in the family business. She was going to make sure that the family business wasn't very profitable.
She may not have gotten into the costume for all of the right reasons in the beginning, but she was damn good at this part of the job. And she enjoyed the knuckle breaking part a bit too much. Maybe that's why people didn't like her. She looked over to Dick as he went over the files. "You looking for naughty pictures of me, or are you done? There's supposed to be a meeting a few blocks from here in twenty minutes."

Nightwing took the device from Huntress and started looking through the file. His mask lens taking in the detail from the device as he scanned over it. His eyes didn't miss any detail.
Huntress was thorough in her work. That was a given by the detail. It was just the way she went about with it that could be disappointing.
He could see the ties between Huntress's work and the gangs in Bludhaven. There was never a night of rest between the towns and criminals. A never ending stream of ants leading more in at times.
Nightwing got all the information filed into his own computer system. Huntress had quite the firewalls and codes. Not that he couldn't be able to break them in minutes. Then again, probably not the best thing to do given she was already irritated with him.
"Here," Nightwing said as he handed back her device. "Care to lead the way?"

Helena pursed her lips momentarily and then shrugged. "C'mon. Lets hope your distracting me didn't make us late." Her voice had a hint of annoyance, but it could almost be construed as a playful annoyance, if that were possible. She really didn't harbor hateful feelings towards Dick, just more of a loathsome feeling.
She made for a nearby dumpster, using it to give her a boost to the fire escape that hung off the building. She wasn't a professional acrobat as Nightwing was, but she was still extremely capable. It was the only class she cared for back in boarding school. She quickly made it to the fourth floor landing and then edged herself along the side of the building as she hung out, pulling out a pair of binoculars to peer into the room directly across from her. Movement. That was especially a good sign.
She pulled a dart from her pocket and loaded it into her crossbow, aiming to the top of the window as she shot it. It stuck to the glass and she pulled out her handheld once more as she precariously balanced herself on the ledge, loading the software up. She smiled and then edged back to the landing of the fire escape and waited for Nightwing to join her, offering him an ear bud to listen to the conversation as it played out in the building a head of them.

"I never do," he commented in turns of not being a destruction.
Nightwing let Huntress take the lead which would set the pass of the evening. He wanted to give her the space. She didn't need him breathing down her neck. She seemed annoyed enough.
He watched as Huntress took off to the fire escape. Using the dumpster as a boost. He couldn't help but to hide a slight smirk on his face of amusement. Dick couldn't help it.
Working these fields of training for years and his background made it look easy. And that it was.
By the time Huntress was half way to her target range, Nightwing jumped up with ease. Grabbing the bottom of the railing to the first floor escape, using his body to give him momentum to propel himself up. Then to flip up to the next one. Continuing this action a few more times.
Until he got to the third floor, and climbed the rest of the way up. No need to draw attention.
And with that, there Nightwing stood on the ledge with Huntress within moments. He took the bud that was offered to him. Huntress was already ahead of the game, knowing what she wanted to do. Good, just like how he would run it.
"I recognize that voice," Nightwing said in a hushed tone.

She nodded at his recognition. She recognized a few of the names, but it had been too long since she had any semblance of a polite interaction with anyone who would give respect to her family name, even it was feigned. "Do you have a name? Or is it just the voice on the other end of the line when you order pizza?" Okay, that was a cheap shot to not just him, but to her own family culture. But it brought a small smile to her face all the same.
"Its supposed to be mostly low level bosses, street guys, tonight. If they relay the information to the higher up and they like what they hear, they'll schedule another meeting. Or they could go straight for killing these guys and stealing the operation, but that's bad for business." Bad for business was a term she remembered hearing a lot growing up in Sicily. Her uncle didn't always kill targets who had been loyal clients in the past.
