Harvey was looking forward to a night without any women, well at least the ones he knew. He knew Rooster, the owner of the nightclub he was walking into, but she was usually too busy making rounds to spend too much time on chit chat. As a matter of fact, when he stepped in she was in the middle of helping the band on stage with a Stevie Nicks tune. He gave a nod of approval before taking a seat at the bar. Bobby, the bar master here, offered his hand to Harvey for the shaking. Harvey smiled to him and shook hands.
"How you doin' tonight, Detective?"
"Ah, about the usual, and you, Lockwood?"
"About the usual, as you can deduce."
Harvey chuckled as Bobby gestured at club in general. Bobby began putting together a whiskey and coke and slid it over to Harvey. Harvey raised the glass in thanks and Bobby went on to other customers. He turned in his seat to watch Rooster and the house band for a moment. He set his drink down after a swig and then pulled out his cigarette case and lighter, lighting up a cigarette. He set the lighter down as a cloud of smoke billowed from his nose. After a minute he turned back around to the bar and picked up his drink. He glanced at his watch. Bard mentioned he wanted to get a drink, Harvey texted him the address before even leaving work. He didn't have to worry about the man having trouble finding it.
