The night was dark, and the wind was non existant. The stars were like stitches in a black blanket that covered the sky. The water was crisp, and small waves pounded the docks and seawalls. Thunder struck in the far distance, and before they knew it, the storm had made its way to them. A light drizzle came down on the earth below it. A small fog covered the floor of the docks as thunder kept echoing.
Oliver stayed hidden in the shadows overlooking the pier in which a titanic style boat was docked. Oliver looked down at the newspaper clipping of a young girl that went missing. She was 18, the same age as his sister. The girl was last seen leaving a club with a guy who the bar patrons described as "Russian". Oliver feared she had been abducted and sent into human trafficking. If that were the case, he may already be too late, but he knew where to start. The mans name was "Alecs Kcopecy" He wasn't Russian, but Belarussian. Your typical American wouldnt know the difference. Oliver had a run in with him in Star city when he was tracking down a drug that was being distributed that caused peoples skin to fall of, but made them hallucinate their wildest fantasy. While mainly a drug move, he had his hand in kidnappings. If he didn't do it, hes definitely a good place to start. Oliver eyed the area. Two guards with sub machine guns were at the base of the pier. The boat itself was armed to invade North Korea. Men everywhere with machine guns. The boat possibly had explosives. Oliver had already obtained the boat schematics, and knew where his private room was. He would make his way to it, and the man would talk.
With the night on his side, Oliver made his move. He took an arrow and launched it from a distance into one of the guards neck. He grasped his neck and fell into the water with a loud splash. The splash gained the attention of the other guard, he turned and noticed the blood on the ground. He reached for his radio, but before he could hit the transmit button, an arrow came flying through his hand. Before the man could let out a scream, another went into his chest. He leaned over, not able to speak and fall down.
Oliver made his way up the pier, and kicked the mans body over the edge and into the water. Let the ocean conceal this one.
He pulled a regular arrow out and drew it back from his bow. He scaled up the ramp, watching his corners. He came onto the main deck, just in time for a small patrol to come around the corner. some had drinks in their hands, one even had a burrito. Upon seeing the hooded character, they froze. One even dropping his drink. Oliver wasted no time. He quickly counted 5. All armed with assault rifles. Luckily, they werent actually holding them and just had them slung and hanging by their side. He launched the first arrow into the man to the far left's eye. This would buy him that much more time for one of them to run and trigger the alarm around the corner. Oliver quickly pulled out a smoke bomb arrow and shot it into the ground. The smoke immediately released providing concealement.
"Watch your fire everyone! dont shoot till you see him!"
Yelled out one of them.
They all moved in a tactical formation through the smoke. Oliver moved around to the rear and grabbed one of them, choking him unconscious.
There was now 3 of them. Oliver decided to take them head on. He ran up through the smoke, and used the side of his bow to smash it across the leaders face. He dropped, knocked out. He quickly went to his right. The man got off a few shots from his machine gun before Oliver grabbed the side of the barrel, and forced it off to the side. He stepped over and kicked the mans legs out from under him, ripping the rifle out of his hands as he fell on his back. Oliver gave him a quick stomp to the chest, crushing his ribs and assuring the man would be out for a while. His focus was suddenly broken by an alarm sounding through the boat, and a red light flashing. He wasnt quick enough to stop the other man.
They both paused for a few minutes, but the man quickly went for his gun. Luckily Oliver was quicker, unleashing two arrows into the mans chest. He began to move through a door, but before he could twist the knob and pull it open, it was kicked out. The move stumbled the emerald archer, and out came a man with a mini gun, completely covered in armor from head to toe. He saw the mini gun begin to rotate, this meant he only had seconds before he would start firing. Oliver had to think quick.
Fire.
Oliver quickly drew an arrow and shot it into the mans chest. Of course the flack jacket kept it from penetrating his body. The man began to laugh, until the arrow detonated. White phosphorus shot from it, getting shards all of his chest, melting through his armor. It also burnt through his knee pads, and even began to seep through his mask. The man dropped his gun and began to roll around trying to rip the armor off. He let out an ear shattering scream. He managed to get his face protector and helmet off as he crawled to Oliver.
"Please! Help!" he yelled.
Oliver threw a dart into his neck that was laced with a powerful tranquilizer. The man would pass out.
Now all that was left to do, interrogate Alecs. He would have to find him. Or... Maybe not.
He turned to see a man in a suit panting for breath as he ran down the ramp and onto the pier.
Oliver ran over to the edge of the boat and drew an arrow. He aimed high up, and over to the left to adjust for elevation and wind. He released the bow string, and sent the arrow whirling through the air. The arrow found its target into the back of his leg, exiting through his knee cap. The man fell down screaming. OIiver ran down the ramp and made his way to the man rolling around on the ground.
He walked over and kicked the man over to where he was laying on his back. Oliver put his foot on his chest and drew an arrow. He aimed it straight at the center of his head.
"Tell me where she is! Don't you even pretend you dont know what im talking about! I am NOT in the mood for games tonight!"
