The rain pounded down like bullets. Stormy climbed atop a building in downtown. Once she got to her feet she went to look at the city below at the opposite end of the ledge. Her eyes glowed purple as she smirked a bit. Over her ears she wore headphones to deaden the murmur of the city's sound. It was dark and now she was atop a tall building, but the storm still prevented her from removing the headphones. She turned back and looked to an even taller building in her sights.
"Lexcorp. Hmmm. Maybe I can make it."
Stormy walked back until she was at the opposite edge of the roof. She started in a sprint. About halfway across she pushed her speed, using all her strength. Right at the end she went to push off with both feet, but one slipped. Her eyes widened as she looked below for decent places to land. Her lack of both feet at the edge would, of course, reduce the amount of power put forth to jump to the top of the Lexcorp building. She wasn't seeing a good landing place. She looked back up to the Lexcorp building.
Maybe, maybe... maybe. Maybe... NO! SHIT![//i]
Stormy slammed hard against the top floor. Her entire body, save her wrists. She glass was hard, well made, ridiculously hard. She looked up, expecting the inevitable. She saw she had managed to catch the top ledge with her hands. She kicked her leg against the glass, but then finally the realization that there was light inside that glass hit her. She looked inside and waved with one hand. She quickly pulled herself up and rolled over the ledge onto the top of the building.
Once she managed to hobble herself to her feet a bolt of lighting decided it liked her, thus she was struck. It stayed with her, she grabbed something nearby to brace herself, but completed the circuit into the building, promptly causing lights through the building to flicker. She grunted, pulling her arm off the metal and managing to break the lighting from the sky as well.
She put her hand to her shoulder, pressing hard, resetting it back into place. She straightened up, drenched in the rain, Stormy cracked her neck and her eyes glowed an even brighter purple from inside her hood. She looked down at Metropolis.
She turned to a light, lightning stabbing at the arm she raised to block some the light from her eyes.
