With emails and meetings up to her neck, Summer was beyond busy and stressed as it came extremely close to five o’clock. The noisy, bustling floor of Gotham Live started to die down and lights began to shut off as her coworkers headed home for a nice evening with their families. Summer only wished that she could be so fortunate. There was a list of things she had to do before she could even think about heading home and even then she would be going home to a pile of even more things to go through. Several of the interns had asked her to review their work and Summer had quickly turned them down, despite how much she did want to help. With all of her own stories and deadlines quickly approaching, there was no time to focus on anyone but herself, not to mention she huge interview on her show tomorrow that she was nowhere near prepared for.
Usually, she was beyond prepared and organized, though her pompous producer had decided to push up her deadlines in fear that ratings were going to decline and was literally on her every hour asking if she had any updates on her ‘Bat family story’. Summer wasn’t sure why he even insisted on calling them the Bat Family to begin with. They had no information as to whether any of them were related! Based on her investigations, Summer believed that they were not but simply brought together by chance, however, that was only her opinion.
Ratings had been through the roof ever since her recent interruption from the Joker. Her revenge was subtle and he had yet to rebuttal, but Summer Gleeson was not going down easy and certainly was one to hold grudges. After interviews with dozens of the shadiest characters that she had ever met in her life and several undercover assignments: the truth had been confirmed. She noticed at first during her brief torment at Amusement Mile that his right had woman was no where to be seen. Finding it highly unusual, Summer considered it a 'break up' of sorts and went through the effort of getting as much information as she could and plastering the news all over the most recent segment of her show. Not only did she feel as though it was a silent blow towards the Joker, but her own success was blooming as the result of Harley Quinn and the Joker's separation. Her facts had even lead her to come across information that Harley had united her own gang, only adding to Summer's story.
Eventually, the office was empty with an exception of the janitor. Summer’s office consisted of large glass windows so she could see everything going on around her and the amazing view of the park from her private quarters. She looked up to see the last of the lights turn to their lower setting and she knew she was alone in her fully-lit office, buried under mountains of memos and forwarded emails. Running her fingers through her hair, she reached for her coffee and took a sip. Pulling a sour face, she placed the cup back down almost as soon as she had picked it up to discover it was cold. “Jamie! I need more coffee, please!” She shouted to her assistant, only to receive silence back. Oh yes, Jamie had gone home like the rest of the Gotham Live staff. Summer ran her fingers through her hair, stressed to the point that she wanted nothing more than to go home herself.
An unnoticed series of soft noises from the other room wasn't even enough to pull her from her work and she continued to hunch over her desk, silently debating with herself on whether not not she should actually get up herself in search of a fresh couple of coffee. Glancing at her clock, an audible groan fell from her red lips when she saw that it read that it was nearly ten in the evening. Smoothing her short, high-waisted skirt she stood from her seat, stretching for a brief moment in attempts to wake up her tired body.

Armed with only her bat, Harley had wondered through the News station with no one bothering her. Well everyone seemed to have gone home for the night, so she had figured she's come in for some fun, after all she had some ' stress' to let out and why not here? Harley skipped along the hallways and then pushed the doors open into another room, she started to whistle. Harley seemed to be in a good mood, even as she raised her bat and smashed one of the News Station's cameras, sending bits and chunks flying everywhere.
Arms up and ready to whack at some more expensive machinery, she paused when a voice called out. Who was Jamie? Who else was here? Lowering her bat, Harley went to investigate. She wasn't in to mood for slaughtering someone, but she really didn't know who exactly she was going to meet anyhow. With the bat, she pushed the doors open to the room where she believed she heard the voice come from, a brow perked up as she leaned in a bit.

Summer looked in the direction of a startling crash, prepared to investigate. However, the loud beeping signaling from her phone informed her of yet another email and she quickly disclosed the noise as a figment of her imagination. Sitting back down at her desk, she rubbed her temples once more and leaned back in the plush, rotating chair. Allowing it to spin in a slow circle, she mentally prepared to dive back into her work to insure she was prepared for her segment tomorrow.
A resounding noise from the entrance of her office grabbed the young news anchors attention, causing her to jump. Clearly startled, a squeal pealed from her lips as she looked up to see the source of the noise. There stood a woman bearing a massive bat. Summer quickly stood up from her desk, reaching for her cellphone at the realization of who the woman was. Her distinct pale skin, half-and-half hair and manic smile gave her away within seconds: Harley Quinn.
“Don’t move- I’m calling the police.” Summer stated firmly as she began to dial the number with shaking hands. “What do you think you are even doing here- who let you in?” She asked from her position on the other side of the room, fully aware that the woman was not a force to be reckoned with. Stunned that Harley Quinn was roaming the halls of her studio, she wondered if the noise she had heard earlier was the work of the woman herself. Silently hoping that no damage had been done to the expensive equipment that the walls of Gotham Live Studios concealed, she put the phone to her ear.

"Hold on there, sister..." She said with a smirk, Harley eyes her closely as she stood still by the doorway. Harley wasn't exactly expecting to have someone here, but it presented her with an interesting opportunity. Dropping her bat she tried to look less threatening , but with a mad look in her baby blue eyes, it was kinda hard.
She stopped once the space between the two woman was down to a few feet. Harley then pulled out on of her guns from her hip halter. She twirled it about on one finger before she aimed it at Summer's head," How about I make ya a deal?"

“Are you kidding me? There is a cell in Arkham with your name on it and you expect me to not call the police?” With an incredibly nervous laugh, she waited eagerly to be connected with an operator. Time seemed to drag on and it was taking ages for someone to pick up the phone. Summer began to grow even more nervous as Harley Quinn closed the distance. Her eyes darting around the room, she backed away from the notorious woman.
The first arrival of the gun and Summer knew she had been temporarily defeated. “Okay! Look- don’t shoot. I am hanging up, see?" She abruptly ended the call and held her hands up to show she wasn’t trying to attempt anything funny – for the time being anyway. Swallowing as she found herself face to face with the end of Harley’s gun, she was only more willing to comply. “What kind of deal?” She asked, knowing she wasn’t particularly in the place to ask questions.

Her hips swayed as she slowly stepped closer, gun still aimed at her Summer's head. Harley grinned as she walked around and circled Summer before lowering the gun and leaning on her, one arm around her shoulder," I hear ya make big news over me and Mistah J's split up..."
Harley then twirled her hair and tilted her head to see if Summer was going to catch onto her clue.

Summer swallowed nervously as she rose he hands up in the air, simply showing that she wasn’t trying to make any major moves. The gun pointed directly at her pretty face was tempting enough to have her comply with whatever the clown in front of her wanted. Summer glanced hopefully in the direction of the door, silently wishing that maybe someone else had been as crazy as her enough to stay this late. That also made her wonder if Harley was alone as well. After the great deal of research she had conducted over the past few weeks in regards to the woman before her, the young reporter was fully aware that she had associates.
“Are there any of your other little friends here that I should know about?” The redhead asked with a bit of distain as the woman circled around her like a shark. Lowering her hands, she folded her arms across her chest, smirking at the woman’s comment. “Your point?”
