A day off from being Supergirl. And now a day over being super....average. That was all she had on the list today. Clark had thought it would be a good idea to be grounded for once to hang out with some of her human friends.
She had been spending so much time being around other aliens and hardly paying much attention to her school work. Clark still had no idea about the Outsiders. And Kara wasn't about ready to tell him any time soon.
Though he never said which friends she was suppose to hang out with. He said human for the day, but he never said who. A smile had come across her face when she had taken the chance to call Barbara Gordon up right away.
She hadn't seen her in forever! Any time she's in Gotham with the Outsiders, it was always work and no contact with anyone else but then.
And this was her reason for losing focus on school.
Kara had asked for Barbara to meet her in the central park near the larger pond on the east end of the park.
She was so glad she was taking Clark's advice for once. He just said no powers unless it was an emergency.
And if Barbara happened to have mission or crime break out in Gotham, that counted right?
Kara saw on a park bench waiting for Barbara. She wore a light few layer against the cold. She didn't get cold like the humans, but needed to act like she was. She had her hair back in a ponytail and a pair of glasses on. Her winter hat helped block the sunlight, but the reflection of light off the snow was enough to blind someone.
She was just happy to be out and to hang out with someone other than classmates.

It would have been a lie to say that Barbara wasn't excited on seeing a friend that she hasn't saw for quite some time was an understatement, which it wasn't. When Kara called her on her cell, she was happy to know that the Kryptonian had some time for her in Gotham. Whenever she was in Gotham, Kara was only doing Outsiders work with Dick, Roy and Kory. Now Barbara is driving to Robinson's Park to meet up with the blonde girl clad in a heavy black winter coat, a pair of snow-boots, and heavy jeans. Kara said to meet at the large pond near the east end of the park. The two might take a walk unless Kara has other ideas, knowing the alien girl, they'll probably going to go shopping.
After a few minutes, Barbara finally arrived at the snow-drenched park. The entire area was like a winter wonderland, families going around having fun, citizens skating around on the icy ponds. It was so nice walking through on the pathway. Coming onto the pond, Barbara spots a blonde girl sitting on a bench. Letting a smile appear, the red-head waved at Kara shouting, "Hey Kara!"

Kara had been silently waiting on the bench for Barbara to show up. The wind whistled as the snow continued to fall.
It wasn't until a familiar voice cut through the icy winds, that got Kara's attention.
"Barbara," Kara shouted out in return.
As she had jumped up from her seat on the bench. And came running over to Barbara. Only to embrace her in a strong bear hug. Maybe a little too tight as she was almost lifting her off the ground with ease.
Kara stopped for a moment to collect herself as she set Barbara on the ground again. Taking a step back.
"Sorry, still getting the hang out cutting back on my powers again since that last attack against the Joker a while back," she made light mention of a situation she could not fully recall what had happened turning that encounter.
"You have no idea how good it is to see you," Kara said. "One more weekend with Clark watching TVland, and I'd have done crazy!"
Kara smiled as she said this of course. She loved her cousin. But sometimes the simple farm boy was still showing when you where around him. He didn't understand what a teen girl like to do on the weekends when living in the city and away from classes for two whole days.

Barbara let out a surprised "Whoa!" when Kara groped and lifted her in an extensively strong embrace, arms wrapping around her friend hugging back laughing at Kara's excitement. It was fun until the hug became a little tight. "Easy girl! Unlike you, I'm breakable!" Barbara teased to her friend. Straightening her posture back, Barbara grinned happily. "It's so great to see you Kara. I'm glad that you called me. How's Clark?" She let out a light chuckle from Kara's apology to the big squeeze she was given. "It's fine. I'm just happy that you are feeling like yourself now." The red-head commented with the mention of the previous situation that placed Kara in danger.
Barbara let out another chuckle at the mention of Kara's cousin, placing a hand on her hip she replied, "I know how you feel. Dad took me dress-shopping and it was a total pain."

"Clark has been good. Busy, but other than that good," Kara replied.
She gave a slight smile, and a look that said it wasn't the newspaper keeping him busy. Kara had gotten the chance to spend time with him this last few weekends beside s bit of training.
Though through most of the days, she found her cousin racing off as Superman to save the world or deal with some political thing. Whether it was with the country or aliens.
And he had kept her out of it. Not something she enjoyed being told...to stay put. She hated being treated like a child when she was just as strong as her cousin, maybe more so. But it was a matter of the situation rather than the physical aspect of the strategy.
"I'm just glad to be spending a day away from school and Clark today. Not that I don't like being around Clark at all! It's just between school and my other activities...he'd rather me get back involved in activities at school and being 'normal'," Kara said. "Though Clark's idea of an activity is chess team and book club. He has noticed I have a bit of a night life."
Kara laughed a bit at the last part about Clark. And how she had been on the Outsiders all this time, and he still did not know of the activities of this group.
She really hoped Barbara wouldn't get upset with her some what complaining about an average day. But for the Kryptonian, it was rather difficult to get used to this life compare to being back on the island training with Wonder Woman and the other Amazons.
"Well the shopping part wouldn't be my problem. It would be the more parental supervision," Kara replied with a bit of a pun to her comment.
"So anything new with you lately? Meet anyone new," she started to ask slight more direct questions now that they were now catching up some.

Barbara nodded and let out a small chuckle at the look Kara had plastered on her face that the red-head could understand from. Guess Kara had a grand old time with her cousin, poor girl. A teenager such as the blonde Kryptonian should not go through the torment of being watched over by an older male relative. Of course it was just Clark being protective of his little cousin. With her being Superman's cousin, Barbara can see why Clark had such a lease on, especially what happened with the whole event that happened few months back.
"Well, you have to remember, your cousin's kind of a nerd, and a guy. So he doesn't know what you like." Barbara said as a matter-of-fact. She had the same predicaments with her father when he tries to get with her with activities and hobbies. The red-head doesn't mind that Kara is complaining her life to Barbara, everyone else does, even her.
With the direct question, Barbara replied, "Nothing extensively new, just the same old stuff in Gotham. But Dad is taking me to a Gala that Selina Kyle is hosting." In Gotham, right now, it's being overly quiet and complete boring. Yet, when things in this city is silent, something big is going to happen.
"So, is anything going on with you?" Barbara asked her.
