His new jet-pack had performed without a hiccup, as did his new flame-thrower. His new suit and wings performed excellently as well. Garfield was proud of himself. Now all he had to do was create more weapons, and for that, he needed supplies. Naturally, he didn't have the money to just buy the materials, so he opted to steal them from a munitions warehouse that contained the fire-creating agents required, or rather, wanted, to build his toys. Lynns could create some pretty good explosives out of everyday, household items and cleaners, such as Moltov grenades and pipe bombs, but he wanted the good stuff. Like black powder, for example...
Firefly was almost there now, so he pushed his jet-pack to go faster. Garfield loved flying; it was freedom. After doing a few spins in the air, he swooped towards the roof of the munitions warehouse, and hovered about a foot above it before cutting the engine on the jet-pack. He landed expertly on top of the ediface and scanned the roof for a good entrance point. He found one in a glass skylight.
"I hope these people have good insurance," Lynns quipped to himself as he fired up his flame-thrower.
Flames spewed out of the weapon like snakes, melting a hole in the glass of the skylight. After he created a whole big enough, Garfield fired up his jet-pack and lowered himself into the building. Once he landed, he took a good look around. Fortunately, he'd installed thermal and night-vision lenses into his suit's facemask, allowing him to not only see in the dark, but read heat signatures as well. He had to admit that his stay in Arkham Asylum had its perks. It gave him the incentive to upgrade his equipment. Firefly needed better equipment if he was going to burn Gotham City to the ground.
"Okay. Now, to find the things I need before torching the place..."
He proceeded to make his way to the storage warehouse, which was attached to the main manufacturing area. There, he found several cases of black power, which he would be able to use to make just about any of his weapons with, especially the explosives. Pulling out a large, fire and heatproof satchel that he'd placed into a cargo-like pocket he'd made for the outside of his boots, he proceeded to place several small cans of powder into it. Then, he spotted some of the chemicals used to make various types of tear gas, which are very flammable. He placed those containers inside the satchel as well.
"I think I wanna get some things that are all ready made," Firefly said to himself, making his way towards the shipping bay.
He hoped that they hadn't transported anything to the actual shipping warehouse yet. If they did, then he would need to make a special trip over to The Docks, which he really didn't want to do. Garfield was focused right now, and that focus was on rebuilding his fiery arsenal. Any delay in doing so was not an option for him. The satchel was getting sort of heavy at this point, but Lynns wanted a few flash-bangs and incendiary grenades. This was in case he needed to use such weapons before he had his own built.
"Oh, good. They haven't moved everything yet," he murmured, finding what he wanted
He placed six flash-bangs and six incendiary grenades into the bag before going back to the storage warehouse. There, Garfield took the remaining cans of black powder, opened them, and began dumping the powder all over the entire factory. After that, he opened up the remaining chemical containers - the same ones that he'd placed in his satchel - and set them throughout the building. Next, he made sure that the bag he'd slung across his body was zipped up and secured before firing up his jet-pack and exiting through the hole he'd made in the glass skylight. As he lifted off, the burners from the jet-pack caused the black powder to catch fire.
Circling well above the building, Lynns waited for the inevitable to happen. He wasn't disappointed, as moments later, the factory exploded in a beautiful orange display. Firefly laughed.
"Hahahaha!! A good explosion always makes me feel better!"
He then hovered there for a little while, letting the flames show him things that no one else could see...

The Outsiders had been called for duty, well more or less It had been Starfire, Grace and Arsenal. The other members were either dispatched in other locations or simply off for the night, least for the group work. Some had solo attacks. The trio was down in The Dock area. Low and remote, yet often fishy things happened. This hadn't been the most mighty of all take downs, though as the leader stated they needed to be brought down before it could really grow up in heights and there were all clues pointing to this just being one part of the much larger plan… The outsiders were set to stop it before any lives taken or serious damage could be done. The mighty power of the tamaranean princess was a very good to have. This hadn't been a great fight, but Starfire had more than come in handy. With Starbolts that sprang. Even without, she packed a hefty punch. Skilled with hand to hand combat that few humans or anyone on Earth would really know. Not that she didn't have some levels of weakness, but she was trained with ever inch of bravery in her body. She couldn't give up, that was in ways both a strength and a weakness. This fight, it was ceasing to an end, least this night. For the ones taken down, prison awaited… As the tamaranean's fell less of the fiery aggression. There was a light smoke smell that tickled her nose. With a shift look in the direction, there was smoke growing through the air, from the other side of the city it appeared, but the gap between really wouldn't be a problem for Starfire. Enlisting herself to go and check it out, it could be a general fire, nothing a group heroes would exactly be needed, but it could always be something more, Starfire could easily send out a buzz if needed.
Never to back away from a fight, Starfire was already up in the air. Flying over building, mostly dark factories and ware houses. Flying was something Starfire equally loved, it was natural for her kind as walk was. Extra touch of freedom. Her red hair tousled in fiery curls cascading along her back and extended in great length passed her feet. A contrail if you will. Shooting across the sky like a fiery star. Golden body strapped in with the infamous purple suit. The colour of royalty and the colour of love. Put along with the sharp green eyes, Starfire was the living embodiment of Passion. Right now, that passion pushed her. Drove her through the sky. Towards the warehouse that had seemed only moments, maybe even seconds began to burst into flames. Either by the smell it set itself on fire or someone may just wanted an early 4th of July. Starfire was all for fireworks, but no this kind. This was more brutal fireworks, that shear power and beauty. There was little effort put in, just raw flames. Wild almost. Lapping to grow into that massive firebomb. Starfire didn't slow down greatly, but enough to observe. It was a rather darkened night, which is saying something in the city of Gotham, but the moon was mostly hiding. Thickened clouds here and there. Her eye sight was a little better than your average human, though she had no eyes like Kal-el… Though from even the simplest looks, it appeared there was little to no victims, but to be fair it was late night. There was only a handful of folks that worked this late in a city like this… For a moment movement catches Starfire out of the corner of her eyesight, but the faint glow of a window that hadn't been greatly blown out yet, there is light… There is almost a possible faint sounds… Maybe there was at least somebody there. Maybe in a high office… With little time to debate, question and answer. Starfire swirls around up and straight into the window with already holes in the glass, it didn't take much to break it with her shoulder. Once in the office like room. The smoke had already began filling the room, a thick blanket covered most of the air. The thick glow of yellow and orange, lapped at the bottom of the door and doing all it could to break in. Or even bat down the walls, that was crumbling a little at this time. Even the slightest touch of her purple boots, the floor didn't feel any better. No. Defiantly not as a chunk where for foot was, was soon a hole. Flames almost in excitement to seek a way, but it there was still chance. With Starfire there was always hope. As the struggling cough came somewhere near a desk and darkened by the smoke that not filled even more as the hole in the floor grew. Flying swiftly as her hands lifted the strange man in her arms. Out of it, but still alive… Just in time too, as the wall behind began to break and the door even chipped away. Nearly taken out by falling debris from where the ceiling was coming down in pieces. In one swift leap in her flight. Starfire shot out of the window. Cradling with the man light in her otherwise super strong arms. The warehouse then really seemed to come that firebomb. Starfire was almost sure she heard the sounds of firetrucks, but in this city, that sound happened so often. She could only assume it was heading in this direction. Putting the man down in clear distance outside. Safety.
Movement again near up in the sky caught Starfire's attention. With the shear feel of the place outside and more so inside, it had to be unleashed by someone or something. What or who, Starfire couldn't really play at that guessing game, but she certainly planned to stop him. Not that she exactly planned things. She was more the creature to feel and react. To do, less second guessing. There usually was little time for that. Once Starfire knew the man saved was out of harms way. Starfire floated back up in the extra warm night sky. Flew around to what Starfire imagined be behind the suited mystery fly. Yes, apparently some form of a bug. Most likely the earthly kind. As the fire before him glowed in a way that showed much of his suit that wasn't covered in shadows. A red brow mildly raised at the stranger, catching is laughter and comment. Someone enticed by fire, may seem to be his destiny, but could also become his downfall. "Like a Moth to a flame!"
Starfire's voice danced against the mild space between, with a evident deepness. Not so much threatening, nor mocking. As a sly smile curled at her lips. Not to point out the obvious as the fire drew him in, he drew her in. There was defiantly the feeling of a battle here and Starfire certainly was on pursuit. Floating much like a living flame, red hair tousled down with the fiery contrail. Skin even at the touch could melt weaponry. Human fingertips. Green eyes glowed. Starfire's golden hands grew in heat and felt the building of energy. Aiming for a sharp jolt of a starbolt to his head assuming he'd turn for the chances he'd catch it in his face, made of pinkish energy that lived naturally inside her. Burning passion was consuming her. He was one singular entity. Starfire would bring down, least before the city of Gotham was left in ashes.

Garfield Lynns hovered over the roaring flames from the fire he'd just started in the ammunition manufacturing plant. The building had exploded in a beautiful display of orange, only marred a little by bits of debris. As Firefly watched the flames do their erotic dance, a figure made its way into his peripheral vision. A female figure, who seemed to almost meld into the inferno. Was she one of his visions? Or was she real? At first, Lynns decided that he didn't care. Whoever this woman was, she was beautiful; the very essence of fire. She even spoke to him. Yes, he was indeed drawn to her like a moth is drawn to a flame. Firefly was in love, until she hurled some sort of pinkish energy bolt aimed directly at his head.
"What the...?!" he exclaimed, quickly maneuvering out of the way.
The energy bolt the woman had shot from her hands missed Lynns' head by mere centimeters.
"Okay, you're definitely not one of my visions. You are beautiful, though," Lynns said to the orange-skinned, glowing green-eyed female creature hovering before him. "You appear to be the very essence of what I love; fire. It's too bad that you seem to want play rough with little ol' Firefly, otherwise; you and I could have some fun."
He then unzipped the satchel he had slung across his body and retrieved one of the flash-bangs he'd stolen from the 'munitions factory. With a devilish grin forming under his face-mask and helmet, he pulled the pin and immediately tossed the grenade at the woman. This particular flash-bang had only a two-second delay before it went off. It exploded in a blinding flash of light and a loud, ear-ringing bang just as it neared the flaming female...

The hovering bug slash man's eyes instantly seemed to lock on to Starfire. Which part it was really unclear. Whether the curves to her body. Or the glow of her eyes. Or even simply how the ends of her red hair flickered like fire. Almost, she almost blended in. Melted in, save for the purple that contoured and the elements of green. Even the little hints of the pink in her gems, but those themselves probably hid a reflection almost like liquid fire. Maybe obsessed. They were sometimes a good thing, but could also be a bad thing. It wasn't like Starfire's attraction and emotions for Nightwing, could be border line. Although she was assured it was deeper. Much deeper, given it was real. Though she favoured him close, but she could float here, knowing the love wasn't in jeopardy. Not that tragedy could strike, but well that wasn't a way to go through life… The mirk dancing upon her own lips, widened a little more. As the fluttering foe, manoeuvred out of harms way, but that hardly was going to be the one and only shot aimed. Play was hardly the word to describe the attack. Merely a challenge. A fight. Because as flashy as she may seem. Starfire can be far more deadly when underestimated. Burning buildings for mere sport, just wasn't her idea of fun. Simply from his actions and more so with his words. It was clear he had let certain emotions control him. One had to let them come, but even Starfire could know this was a little over the top. "Wishing to play with Starfire, one is opening themselves up to certain dangers and you should know fire burns!"
There certainly was more desire to kick this bugs arse all over Gotham's skies, until brought down long enough to lock him away. As Starfire's eyes locked with the glowing green on him. As she in ways played upon the line, when stating her name. Least the name given to her on Earth. She certainly was a living flame, but she really was more than simply made of fire. Starfire was made up of energy. An energy most likely not any where else on Earth. Very much the star. The sun. Either way as she stated it. How anyway he wanted to spin it, she still could burn and burn him badly. There was almost a more gleam to her smirk at the end of words and sprung another starbolt. A little faster, but undoubtedly he would probably miss it. He certainly didn't seem completely without tactic. Not of course that she had great planning, it was mostly all instinctual. That was how she was trained and she very much was a warrior. He was human, so she had to hold back her instincts to a degree. Otherwise she'd probably squish him, luckily for him… In her swift action with the starbolts and movements. The grenade was tossed in her very direction. She was no Flash, but she still had her reflexes. Least for this grenade. Darting backwards a little, before flipping backwards in the air. To come out from below the explosion in the air. Did of course feel some of the force from it, but Starfire had a very direct path ahead of her. With double fists out and with the speed, that laid out a rather dusty given the explosion, a long contrail from her hair. Charging through with great strength, aiming into his torso. If it was to take form, it would probably do some damage, but this fight was still early.

'Starfire, huh? Well, well...' Firefly thought as he dodged more of the pinkish energy that emitted from this beautiful woman. 'I think I just found myself a new playmate, hehe.'
He rolled in the air to try and dodge the last of the barrage Starfire had sent his way. Unfortunately, he wasn't quick enough, as one of the "bolts" nailed his left thigh. While his suit was built to withstand earthly fire, it didn't quite hold up to this woman's energy, whatever it was. This power that Starfire had practically melted right through his armored and fire-proof suit!
"Arrrgghh!!" Garfield screamed, grabbing his now injured thigh with a free hand.
Faltering in the air for only a moment, Firefly was able to quickly right himself. This Starfire chic had him not only intrigued, but slightly bewildered as well. What is she? She definitely wasn't from around Gotham, that was for sure. If Garfield had to make a wild guess, he would say that she wasn't even from this earth. He'd never seen an alien before; except Superman, but everyone knows who Superman is. Garfield had never heard of or seen Starfire before, until now.
'Damn! She dodged the grenade! Where did she--' "OOMPH!"
His silent, unfinished question was answered when he suddenly got the wind knocked out of him. The flash-bang had left him unable to see where, exactly, Starfire had gone to. All he knew was that she'd dodged it. The force of the blow to his stomach sent him spinning out of control, but he managed to once again right himself. Garfield was highly impressed with this woman's power, and he wasn't sure if the tiny arsenal he had stowed away in the satchel was enough to stop her. All he could do is try. Ignoring the searing pain in his left thigh, as well as the sore spot on his stomach, he reached back into the bag and produced two more flash-bangs. Firefly pulled the pins and tossed them at Starfire. Providing she didn't dodge or take out these two like she did the other one, she should get an eyeful of blinding light and a pair of ringing ears. This woman might have Garfield a bit infatuated, but he wasn't about to let her take him down. Not without a good fight, at least.

The aim of the starbolt wasn't exactly aimed at his heart, so merely hitting his thigh was certainly a result and more pointedly suggested his fire-proof suit wasn't exactly fire-proof. Then again what the starbolts were made of, were more than just fire… As the tamaranean princess made the stand off before him, with hands out. She certainly was no wonder woman. No woman of steel. Even as her name fell upon her tongue and fluttered a thought in his tiny skull. It clearly didn't ring much, but her presence sure had. What would have happened had she given him Koriand'r. As unlike many other heroes, she didn't exactly wear a mask. Who she was, was who she was. She was Koriand'r before him now, whether he knew it or not. Or if that even made any sense. Withdrawing her hand, but kept it at the ready at the sound of the scream. If this was not earth, if they were not surrounded by such laws. Starfire's attacks would lead to much more deadly results, but something within her seemed to have almost changed. Which may not seem much to humans. Although to say non of them kill, would be a lie, only with her it had never been a desire or want for blood. There was not exactly a lot of glory, more it was simply an instinct. An instinct as much as a lion would on this planet, not exactly for food, but there was a time when her planet was alive that they took part in hunting. No, there was really either kill or be killed in battle. To kill to save a life, maybe hundreds, but now… It didn't feel as hard for her to hold back. Her instinct was strong, that even for a flashing moment in letting go, it would kick in… Though the bug was small, he was not brought down enough.
Superman was something else. Different species no doubt. In the long list of them, he was probably not the best comparison for her, though her powers and abilities certainly almost his level. Though she given her instinct and training and exactly where she came from, there was a lot that made her different. Mostly for one, her morals. She was not so high up, to know balance, but kryptonians were well known for their stubbornness. He was a specimen to respect, but for all that he was. He had spent a great deal more time on Earth… Starfire training as a warrior began long before she gained the use of her starbolts. Merely a child, but much stronger child than usually seen on earth… Of course also being a titan, Starfire had learned even a great deal more on this planet. Her home now. Bludhaven it seemed to be more pointedly, though one could argue it was merely the black and blue. Where ever he would go, she'd certainly follow… Tonight, she was certainly solo. Not something she isn't use too. She certainly battle a bug… Just a matter of clipping his wings… Or just brutally tackle him. As the shear surprise of her harden fists, buried into his torso. Maybe almost close to breaking his suit in half, but one imagined the impact was mostly internal. Her fist and body dove with him for a moment, before his body was left to spin within the darkened sky that floated. Which Starfire was ready for the next row of attacks. Flying up and around to his side. Arms very much at the moment to strike him with more fire power, best to try when he had a little bit of the wind knocked out of him. Her focus was usually always in the battle, not so easily distracted. As merely echoes trailed down from below and flashing lights illuminated down the coming path. Of perhaps a couple of firetrucks and squad cars. The blast grew and grew. With possibilities especially with the weather allow it, for the fire to jump. If not taken with care, Whole of Gotham could go down in ashes… Which really would be a leap, Starfire imagined. Really? She wasn't going to let him, just burn it to the ground.
As the flash from her hands fired out. Her eyes caught the object coming at her very direction. Least just one. In her very means to dodge it, Starfire certainly misjudged there be a second one. Which certainly had caught her off guard. As a bright light, blurred her very vision. Just make out shapes. Darken shapes, though mostly ruined given the surrounding blaze and smoke filling the air. Her orange hands seized momentarily from her projection of bolts, to cover her ears. That carried a sharp ring, that seemed to continue. It was unknown whether these effects were easier or harsher for her than it would be for a human, but certainly made a dint. Especially allowing the level of anger up a few notches. As in a matter of seconds and moments she had retreated from the onslaught. He would probably attempt to flee or even be bold as to strike her harder. With her vision until it was fully back, could work merely on shadows, but with certainly more fire power. With simply more force. As Starfire shot out her starbolts. Flying in attempts, she was sure she was mostly on his tail, but he certainly had the advantage. One hand momentarily would free to rub at her eyes. Slowly it would come back. More and more. Until it did. Her heart already amped up and fire burning in hopes to not allow him to much of an upper hand. Or simply lose him. As her green eyes did clear, she came almost face to face with a window of some darkened building. Hadn't flown off to far, but clearly enough to almost dive head first into a building. Dodging it, in mere seconds as Starfire shot up and around. In shear pursuit now. With her emotions taken over, this would almost be short of the instinct kicking it, but mostly she just wanted to kick his behind. Perhaps that was a little more human!

The first flash-bang grenade that Lynns had tossed at Starfire exploded prematurely. A second before this happened, he'd seen her start to produce that pinkish energy from her hands again, which meant that the orange-skinned, glowing green-eyed, purple clad, sexy alien woman had detonated it before it reached her. The second grenade he'd tossed, however, did what he was hoping it would do. It blinded and deafened her just long enough for him to attempt an escape. Garfield was injured and needed a bit of medical attention. He didn't want to engage Starfire any further, lest he be beaten down, or burned all over again. That's something that he wouldn't be able to handle again. Starfire had already re-burned part of his left thigh; who knew what else she could do if he kept up this little dance of bug and flame. Best he flee before he found out.
Sirens blared on the streets below, indicating that the fire and police departments were securing the building and the blaze. Garfield could do more here. He needed more weaponry if he was to ever defeat the fiery woman calling herself Starfire. Yes, she had made a new enemy in Firefly. If she hadn't attacked him, tried to stop him, then perhaps she could have been a nice play-thing; someone that he could get know a bit better. Lynns used to be a fairly handsome man - blonde hair, blue eyes, a light tan, light muscular build. Now, all but ten percent of his body was completely scarred, rendering him unpleasant to the eyes. It's not like he had women falling at his feet for him anymore. Before the accident, he could easily pick up a lady once or twice a week. Now, he was lucky if he could get a street-walking whore to please him without cringing in disgust. Thinking about it, Garfield realized that even this other-worldly creature would most likely do the same if she were to see his true face and body.
The thought of this angered him a little, but he had already kicked his jet-pack into full gear and was flying at top speed away from the burning ammunition factory. As he flew, he made sure to dive down and maneuver in between a few buildings before shooting back up and over the city. Garfield wasn't sure how long the flash-bang would have an effect on Starfire, so he wanted to make sure that he'd lose her. Hopefully, weaving in and out of some buildings while she was distracted would do the trick. If not, he was prepared to take the rest of the items he'd stolen and use those on her. If they didn't work, then he would have to rely on his flame-thrower and flying skills to get away.

The tamaranean's senses had been a little deterred, mostly sight and hearing. It didn't and would not deterred her shear emotions. Courage and bravery that would have to take several to a million before it really would pull her off his tail. The only hope he probably had was to slay her. It was a strength and probably a tamaranean's greatest weakness, the fact they don't give up. More don't know how. In this case he was merely a bug, but clearly he wasn't without some merit points. Starfire maybe stronger, but he still has wits about him… She may not be as crafty as some of the local birds and bats, but she certainly learnt a thing or two. As eventually the effects subsided long enough for Starfire to regain some form of sight. Of sound. Not all at once, slowly. After merely missing the building, perhaps cracking a window a little with her efforts, but no damage worth noting. Hands had warmed up with the glow of pink, but even a mere glance the Firefly was not even a mirage. Pushed a little back in the clearer sky. Her chest rose with her own fiery emotion to match the flame bomb below. As the sirens had finally caught on and what they could potentially save of the building, before it might catch light on another. Starfire didn't exactly have powers that could stop fire, merely make it sing more. Though she did have strength to lift a tank. A very large tank, but that seemed hardly needed right now.
Besides her attention was more on any trace of the Firefly. There was defiantly a feeling of wanting to squish him, but that would hardly seem humane. Even if given the chance he'd probably wouldn't hesitate to do the very same. Though there only really seemed to be one thing he cared about. Obsessed about. If things had played out differently, could they have been friends? The what if game, wasn't something Starfire took part in. It did little to nothing, Firefly made the choices that he had made. He opened this door. Starfire merely took it. Though one could assume he'd prefer Blackfire's company… He certainly had the same intentions… Komand'r had been stripped of her own heirship for having a disease that prevented her from having the natural ability to fly. It was too easy for Komand'r to turn to the emotions of hate and jealousy. Vengeance. All the wrong turns and bad choices that she had made, Koriand'r made sure not to repeat. To be anything unlike her sister. Whatever lingered beneath Firefly's suit, it was still merely skin. He had come face to face with a literal being of out of this world. Someone that had seen many shapes, colours and sizes. Befriended whom some humans could label monsters. Freaks… Starfire was used to the people watching, in her case it was her beauty, in which case if that was all she was. Just her beauty, she be boring. Starfire was anything than just that. Not all what people said behind her back was always so kind, sometimes to her face. Whether it be jealous women or merely because of her strange features or merely not being human. Mostly Starfire would ignore, it did little help to hold on to the negatives. The world really did held a lot of wondrous things, but there could be merely one thing that could truly hold her. That made it more the homely choice.
Gotham certainly hadn't been her initial choice, but it too held some wonders even it was so gloomy and dark. Seemed to go hand in hand with the cave folk. It also made the showcase of fire and flames a little more easy view. As Starfire took flight a little around the dancing flames. Though her eyes tracked more on darkened buildings away from it, though with the smoke that was puffing out, it was maybe a matter of time it truly filled the air. That could render sight a little, though she did have a better sense in smell than humans, whether that be one of her least pleasant traits, but certainly was helpful. Unclear if it was helpful if Firefly smelled like ash, but least there was something… As she smirked mildly catching the sparks that popped out in between some dark buildings, catching the reflection in windows. With a balled up fist. Not exactly any jet pack to kick off, but maybe a more internal one. As Starfire shot through the night sky, heading towards the buildings and leaving the blaze behind. Though the trail of her hair played through the air like a shooting star or a trail of a one of those cool jets. Usually she was faster than, but she couldn't honestly say if she was faster than a bullet. She couldn't say it had really been tested. Normally getting where she wanted wasn't a problem. As the tamaranean princess dove in and around the buildings. Very much in pursuit and she was certain she could at the very least catch up to him. Though he was certainly was playing it up by the way he weaved in and out, how it played in the reflections of the darkened windows. With even greater desire now to stop him. A fire on the outskirts was more easy place to stop, but she couldn't truly know his intentions. Nor his weaponry, though he didn't seem overly blessed with powers she could see, but fires in the more populated parts needed to be prevented. With him hopefully coming into view. With aim Starfire let go and shot starbolts in his general direction. Before he could look back, blink and see her. Starfire shot out of sight. Possibly around or over some buildings. In attempt to stop him in his tracks and release for starbolts. Coming before him with her hair tousled with wild fiery like flames. Of course she wouldn't be assuming this chase was over, but certainly Starfire would aim for any opening she had.

He thought he was free and clear. He couldn't see the fiery woman following him. Good. This meant that Garfield could get back to his ramshackle little abode in the east side of Gotham, treat his thigh injury, and get some rest before making some new toys. Just as he started to think that he'd lost Starfire, something hit one of the engines on his jet-pack!
"Shit!" he cursed, frantically trying to right himself in the air.
It was no use. No matter what he tried, he couldn't get himself to fly to correctly. Instead, Garfield was slowly and steadily falling towards one of the many rooftops in the city! The right engine is the one that got hit, presumably by one of Starfire's energy bolts. It sputtered, sparked, and emitted a blackish smoke as Firefly descended. At this moment, Garfield wished that he was still in cahoots with Drury Walker, a.k.a., Killer Moth, who could help him out right now, or that he had superhuman abilities that would allow him to fly without the need for a jet-pack and wings. Wings...yes! Why he hadn't thought of this when the engine first got hit, he didn't know.
'Guess I panicked,' he mused to himself as he quickly fumbled around in the satchel strapped around his body.
He managed to pull out a few of the chemical bottles, as well as an incendiary grenade. The left engine of his jet-pack was keeping him from going into a full free-fall, so he was able to pull the pin on the grenade and toss the chemical bottles down towards the building he had originally been aiming to land on. Two seconds after he dropped the grenade and bottles, the grenade exploded in fire upon the rooftop. This caused the chemical bottles to explode shortly thereafter, creating enough of a fire on the roof to glide upon using just the wings on his suit. The fire wasn't big enough to continue gliding, but it would certainly help keep him from having too rough of a landing.
Garfield wasn't sure where, exactly, Starfire had gone to, but he knew that she was following him. Normally, being in the air was his advantage, but this hot, fire-like woman seemed to be just as comfortable as he is while flying. Using the wings on his suit to glide down to the rooftop, he landed, running a few feet to stop his momentum. The fire he caused was slowly starting to spread over the building now due to the chemicals, and Garfield decided to use this to his advantage. If Starfire was a hero, then she would most likely try to save citizens before she would continue to go after him. The building he was on is an apartment complex. He could tell by the central heating and air-conditioning unit, as well as the many residential-type windows he'd seen along one of its sides while flying down towards it.
With a maniacal grin playing underneath his mask, he went over to one of the chimneys. Pulling out another incendiary grenade, he pulled its pin and dropped it inside. Just as he finished doing this, he saw her. Starfire, in all of her lovely flaming-like glory, had appeared before him, seemingly ready to strike at him once again.
"If I were you, I'd see about the people inside this building before continuing to fight little ol' me," Garfield said to Starfire.
The sound of some screams could be heard coming from a few of the people on the top floor, and he went on, "Unless, of course, you're not interested in helping we Earthlings. From what I can see and gather, you're not from this earth. Why do you even care what I'm up to? You must be friends with the Bat to be playing in his 'territory', and any friend of the Bat is an enemy of mine..."

The space princess had certainly tracked the fiery bug man, a good distance way. Whether it was intentional, was another thing entirely. She really didn't lack in bravery, though she did have a little catching up to do. Which Starfire had certainly made up. When a pink blast shot from the golden palm of her hand. Whisking through the space, whilst there was no building in the way and scored a hit. It certainly wasn't fatal, didn't hit him where it really could hurt, but it certainly caused damage. Enough there was a trail of puffy smoke. Whether he knew of Starfire well, if he was merely being introduced, he was unaware that she was holding back. Her blasts of starbolts could be far more disastrous. Far as the tamaranean was concerned, she was being kind on him. To be fair, he hadn't exactly gone a head and done anything completely murderous. Not even serial killer status. Set a building on fire, with little concern of it possibly catching on. It was best to stop him, before he really took his plans further.
Green eyes had of course stayed on her target, as Starfire flew with ease through the sky. Unlike the fortunes of Mr buzz, with his jet pack back firing. Perhaps this was going to be an easy catch like she had thought. Maybe he'd fall and she'd have to do the heroic justice in saving his ass, before sending him off to Juvie. For he certainly didn't seem fit for the skies. Starfire wasn't much one for showing off. Flying was just natural for her. Eyes had watched the sparks. Though in the sharp pointed pursuit. Starfire had flown slightly out of the path, she had been on. So not to allow for any misleading. Less chances of some extra element of surprise of Firefly's, but certainly Starfire giving hers. Weaving through some of the buildings. Moved quickly her reflections didn't linger long on the windows. Just as the space princess dover up a building to perhaps offer a little leverage. There was smell of smoke… More smoke. Which amped up her engine. In full slight and emotions… Until floating almost in the spot with her hands flaming pink. As her green eyes came upon the maniacal grin of Firefly's mask. Just as the small object fell down the chimney. Knowing this wasn't good… This little monster was seriously trying to stir the pot, with the fire beginning on the roof, and who knows what beneath… As the roof top came more into place. Starfire ceased from the air and even planted her own feet upon the roof. Coming almost face to face with the Firefly, as his attention turned towards her. With such the taunting words, expressions and emotions. This really hadn't been the first time she had gone into battle with some that saw it simply as a game. Her fists momentarily at her sides, had certainly curled into fists. With the fire flickery around and the fire in her belly. Starfire was sure up to letting her battle cry be heard. Fight on the front line, with no ounce of giving up. This was what it meant to be tamaranean. To be a warrior. As his words wish to taunt… There was more at stake. Not simply about seeing him bound and gagged. There was the puffs of smoke that was beginning to spit out of the chimney. It seemed blacker than even from the blaze that surrounded them. Created a heat that could match her own. Flickering in almost the reflection of her golden skin. But, the smell of smoke was one thing. Even at the echoing of his words 'the people' Starfire's eyes shut momentarily. She had already felt their coughing hearts just moments before, but when her eyes shut… Starfire really could hear their cries for help. There was no other for them to cry for… It had to be her. Felt running of the need to be their hope run up her arms, like goosebumps, only she knew. She was sure. "Maybe you should look a little deeper… I'm stronger than I look. You can bet I'm smarter as well… You really think you can squirm your way out this?"
Starfire spoke in response to Firefly offering suggestions. Plans, but he really didn't know her well enough. Maybe it was the same as when he looked at the flames. His obsession with fire. He was drawn by the emotions at the surface, just maybe not skin deep. Starfire wasn't as much of a planner. Also stronger than she appeared, which he certainly had been alighted to from her fists driving through his torso. As circled him slightly, with starbolts in glimpses and her attention was very upon the below. There wasn't much time to waste that she could afford nor would she. Though there was still going to be a fight. What chances if she saved them, that not only could he run or fly off, that was little of the concern. It was the look in his eyes. The way he looked at fire. Two fires so saw, maybe three, but there was always the chance he'd go off only make another fire. Another fire. Until he was not at all being subtle about it… Just as he did fire, he looked upon her in beauty and wonder, but she was more than simply pretty. Certainly was not boring.
"My planet was destroyed! I'm not about to let you burn Earth to the ground… I can see the corruption in your eyes. The rage in your heart… Whatever burnt you, Firefly… It was you that allowed your heart to turn to ash… I'm here for Gotham! For truth. For justice. Not just for a select few… For all! No matter how big. No matter how small. "
Starfire wasn't in the sit down, lets lay out the 20 top questions, but she was a little more straight to it. Wasn't to give any plan away. Nor was it a secret. Details were less than important here. She was not human and Tamaran was gone. Has been for a while now. As her voice carried strong and with force. Simply as not allowing Earth to die as her own planet had done, was more than a reason to do anything that she did. Not to mention the blood that churned from the warrior inside. She was trained for this, even born for it. She was not queen as she was suppose to become. She was not surrounded by the people that raised and loved her. They were gone and when they had been there. They allowed her to be taken. To become a slave. Tortured in too many unmentionable ways… She was a survivor. Where so easily she could have taken the darker path. Followed in her sisters footsteps. Starfire rose above that. She couldn't know what had dwelled on Firefly, but she could easily feel there was a cause. Something had prompted all of this. Who really just wakes up, wanting to torch the city to the ground, if they didn't feel torched themselves? In that way she felt a tinge of sadness, but she didn't pity him. Whatever it was, isn't what made him change this path… He allowed it to consume him. To control him… Flung a blow of starbolts at his feet, when she spoke of she was here for Gotham. Not really answering whether she knew Batman… Friends, to an extend, but he wasn't why she was here. Sure it was his city to a degree, but for Starfire she was here simply for the people. It was their city… Starfire motioned for a starbolt, with a blast that could potentially knock him out. Least hopefully in the short term, that could offer sometime. Maybe even bound him with ropes, but that probably wouldn't hold him… As quickly as the smoke began to puff that little bit high, the screams. Starfire didn't wait any longer and flew from the hot roof top. Flying through an open window. Into the blaze and smokey apartment below. As her cause of action was to leave no one behind. Save them all. She had the will. The bravery… Starfire would not give up!

"Whatever burned me, alien?!" Garfield asked quite heatedly in response. "Gotham burned me, and I'm gonna burn it right back!"
This tourist had no clue. The female alien calling herself Starfire might be beautiful, but she didn't see the things that he saw within the flames. What Garfield saw was comfort, freedom, and salvation in the fires he created. Gotham had indeed burned him years ago, when he was younger and without scars. It had left him without work, without money, and without love. Now, Garfield wanted nothing more than ever to see the city get burned back. First, he needed to get away from this lovely detriment and the pinkish energy that she could emit.
Suddenly, he was blinded a little by a flash of that very energy, which Starfire had tossed at his feet. Garfield grunted and shook his head a little, trying swiftly to get his vision back to normal. Before he could see properly again, another blast from the lovely orange alien woman hit him square in the chest, knocking him down.
"Ugghh!" Firefly groaned, silently thanking the extra armor he'd added to his suit's chest piece. The blast had pushed him down, hard, which caused the wind to be jostled from him, but otherwise, he was still coherent.
"Hey, what th--?! Getting kinky, now, huh?" he went on once he realized that Starfire was binding him with some ropes. "These ropes won't hold me for long, you know."
It seemed that this last statement fell upon deaf ears, as Garfield watched the alien woman fly effortlessly off the rooftop and into one of the windows of the now steadily burning building. He had counted on her going to save whoever was inside, which gave him plenty of time to wiggle his right arm free of his bonds. Once his arm was free, he was able to get himself out of the rest of the ropes. Without further hesitation, he ran towards the building's edge, and jumped. The heat from the fire caught the wings on his suit, allowing him to glide away to another ediface, where he could proceed to escape on foot. He did, finding the fire-escape on this one and using it to climb down to the alley below. Garfield then removed his helmet/mask once he was safely on the gound, and looked over at the burning apartment building.
"That should keep the tourist busy. Now to stop and get some medical supplies before heading home," he said to himself as he put his helmet back on and began to move within the shadows of the darkened city.
If he ever came across the fiery alien woman named Starfire in the future, he would make sure that he was well prepared to face not only her, but the whole of Gotham City as well.

There was little need for words. The pity he so richly desired. The revenge was plain pierced in his eyes behind the mask. His intentions and most of course his choices. So as Firefly spoke of pasts, it really came to little shock. He was given choices. He was given paths. He just happened to pick this one. His very mission was already at a beginning. He had a very small window to take that all back now, but Starfire could easily tell was unlikely going to happen. With circling flames upon the roof and the smoke that began to puff out of the windows. What if his plan came with success. With Gotham gone, then what? When would it stop? As the tamaranean with purple boots mildly pacing around him. Not entirely the upper hand, even the smallest threat could hold the most cunning plans, but Starfire was certainly brave. Even if he was a mighty monster. The most mighty, there wouldn't have to be much to sway her off her own path.
"You would be putting many innocences through your very ordeal, you really think thats justice! X'hal knows, I can burn you worst of all!"
There was certainly questioning in her tone, but was it really something she needed to ask or more Firefly needed to ask himself. This was certainly looking like misguided justice for her. To put others through his experience, yes that seemed the best plan to solve his problems. As the tamaranean tighter her fist. Not that she would downplay what happened to him, but it didn't make him do this. Starfire had herself been burnt in a distant yet something memorable past. There were other options, he just took this. Maybe it was easier. It would have been easier had Starfire simply laid down and allowed death to take her during so many years as a slave. It just wasn't justice. To allow such an ordeal to control her life. Her. Starfire certainly could get affected by it still, but never allowed it to truly weaken her. Though Starfire was born with strength and flight. The very starbolts Starfire had unleashed upon the Firefly was a result of her past. Now she took claim and a sharp threat from her lips. She was trained to fight a battle to the end, though she couldn't kill him on this planet, she certainly could come close. Her green eyes aimed and Firefly for a moment had lost his way. Just when he was beginning to see the light. A starbolt came strong at his chest and strong enough to knock the wind out of him. Quickly without completely rushing to make too many mistakes. Starfire grabbed for rope and of course bug in question. Pulling him back with his hair and dragged him rather easily, but with little to no care. Yep, she was totally going Nightwing on his ass… Well, attempting to. Not that she was bad at tying knots, Nightwing, well, that was certainly something he was probably better at. Usually handcuffs seemed the easier option, but Starfire had to make do and make do she very much did. Was going for a hog tie, with there no apple and ended up just wrapping it aimlessly around him. Evidently with great tightness.
"Mixing with Parasites isn't usually a good idea and unfortunately I can't entirely zap you… So, you know… I guess I'd just have to hunt you down again!"
Starfire's voice came close to Firefly's ear. Certainly she had seen her fair share and knew of even greater number of species, not just on earth. With her experience it was almost safe to say such bugs were not such a hot idea, not that she was stereotyping. Tightening the last couple of knots. There was maybe a chance to escape, but Starfire could certainly find a way to track him down again. Maybe get back up, if she really needed it, but Starfire certainly didn't feel unconfident. Besides there was slightly more important things and people that needed Starfire right now. Though she was a superhero and had powers and abilities people could only dream about. She wasn't gifted with every power. Little chance to whisk his ass to jail and be back in a second before the building burnt to the ground. She could make a call, but this was sort of be here now kinda moment and Starfire certainly wasn't questioning whether she could succeed or not. She couldn't. Sure a hero could make mistakes, but when you have lives at the balance you couldn't let them rule you. If he did run off, she'd have another chance to catch him, to stop him before he could truly hit again, but there wouldn't be another chance to save the people caught in the flames. With scream heard and the fire alarm rang. The SOS calls bleeding in her ears from those unable to make a quick escape out the doors, mostly it seemed the upper floor was in dire trouble. In a flash of a shooting star. Starfire flew off the roof, leaving Firefly and flew through one of the apartment windows.
It was a small in sized apartment. Dark. Defiantly dark. There was no flames, but smoke was filling inside from under the door to the hall. The flames were certainly knocking to come in. Leaving the elderly man trapped inside the apartment. Swiftly of course and calmly. Starfire hurled up man who had all but passed out from the inhaling of smoke. Starfire was generally immune many things, including most gases and so breathing in smoke didn't hinder her greatly. After bringing the man down to safety and go back bringing back survivors. Sometimes a couple at a time depending on how many were in said apartments. Eventually leaving one apartment Starfire needed to reach, that was more than trapped. At this point the fire had grown heavier, even blowing out surrounding apartments and soon fire trucks had come. With their efforts to put out the flames and help survivors they could certainly reach… Starfire with all needed and desire to save them all, flew back up the top. Flew through an apartment and broke through a door, into the hallway. Almost begging to encase her in flames and perhaps had she let it. Stopped in her flight, Starfire could have eventually melted in the flame. Certainly felt the extra heat building within and her flesh just that extra sting. Following the tiny, yet strong screams. Calling help. Starfire flinched a little before the door that separated her from the children. She could break it down, be quick, but the way the fire was behaving. It was its own aggression now, there was little telling how mean it would be once she busted open that door. That wasn't a chance she could take. As flames danced towards her hair, could feeling the way they flickered together. Just dying to take hold. Starfire looked up above. The fire hadn't crumbled to the highest floor yet, or the space within the roof. With golden iron fists the fiery warrior princess brooked through the hall's ceiling and soon she fell through the ceiling of the apartment.
At the sighting of a young girl sitting in tears near a closet near the living room. Starfire immediately flew over to lead the girl to safety before fire could swallow them both, but something was indeed up. As Starfire embraced the girl in protective arms, but insisted to save her sister as well. Who had locked herself in very closet out of shear terror. To whom Starfire could defiantly hear the whimpering as she gently rattled on the closet door. Starfire could so easily break through, but rather than startling the poor child more. Starfire came with more calming and encouraging words the child needed to be and could find bravery. Of course being a superhero seemed away to help a child light up with some idea of hope. Right now, that's exactly what Starfire was. Alway would be. Hope. It didn't take long until one could hear the turning of the closet door and Starfire happily embraced the child in her arms. Arms of safety. Although it was then that the hole in which Starfire created in the ceiling, the fire had certainly taken as a gateway. Flames had quickly made way to flicker along the roof and make their way to the walls. To eventually fill the room. With the door blocked and now by the looks the windows. All means of an exit were all but engulfed in flames. It allowed for little options and all strikes of danger. Danger that filled Starfire's heart with even greater determination, but filled the little hearts in her arms with fear.
"You must be brave… I will get us out of this… Just close your eyes and count to ten!"
Starfire spoke deeply and encouraging to the children. Even though as her green eyes stared into the flames that covered the window. This was something she was gonna feel, but simply giving up would have hurt far greater. She had suffered far greater. Why simply roll over? Starfire didn't look to see if they did shut their eyes, but certainly heard a faint counting. As with the will and drive. Starfire picked up in flight and aimed as strong. As quickly as she could through the flames at the nearest window. A yelling scream floated out of her body. Felt a deepening burn against her already hot skin as she flew through the fire. It allowed a little more scrap from the broken shards of glass, but the way she encased the little girls, it had greatly protected them from little harm, maybe so small as a tiny spark. Starfire reached the ground even before ten was called. Back in the arms of a worried baby sitter. Starfire's flesh still stung for a while after from the burns, but certainly something she'd recover from. After a last check the building's victims were now safe. Starfire returned back to where she had left Firefly, with maybe even more aggression and if he weren't human, probably with more intents to rip him apart. Of course. There was nothing… Nothing, but empty ropes. As her golden hands picked up the ropes, with the smokey flames around her.
"I will find you, Firefly… X'hal knows I will"
Spoken in the night and straight from the swell of her heart. The intense beat was still there was intense saves Starfire had put her body through. She was not human, but she still coulee certainly feel the energy that was used. The sweat. The tears and upon occasion the blood or this case the burns. He could come out and drive a hot poker through her, it wasn't going to stop her. As green eyes looked through the shadows of the city. Starfire did know one thing. He was wounded. If he was planning another attack, it was probably not going to be right away… There was time. Not a great deal of time, but Starfire hardly felt she needed a lot. To truly put the bug through a bug zapper.
