Harley hummed merrily as she finished setting up the last few decorations for her party. The fun-house had been, altered to suit Harley's new sense of fashion and humor. The fun house mirrors were smashed enough to shatter, but not break and fall out of their windows, so there were plenty of mix up reflections and twisted images wherever anyone happened to look.
"There..." Harley stabbed a metal spike into the ground which was attached to a very thin steel cable that soared up into the ceiling of the decaying building. She had a little surprise ready for her guests, oh this was gonna be so much fun! She wanted her friends and foes to come and celebrate her own welcome home party, after all she felt like a new woman.... no thanks to Joker.
Brushing her red and black hair out of her face, Harley grinned from ear to ear as she went over to the zebra print table and glanced at the foods she had either made or stolen, she couldn't have a party without cakes, Cupcakes, Sodas of every flavor, Fruits and veggies for those who aren't into yummy goodies and of course, Harley's famous batman shaped cookies.
It was roughly early evenings, the sun had not fallen yet on Gotham but there was a shadow creeping over Amusement Mile. Harley sighed and waited, waited for someone to show up.... someone to not show up, someone to bring her a present...something.....

Edward walked through the abandon amusement park, his face twisting into distaste as he saw the mud attach to his newly shined green shoes. His cane kept coming out of the ground with a splirt with every step he took. The things he would do for a successful plan, and one included putting up with Harley’s eccentric location choices. He had to admit, it was good news that the girl had finally decided to toss the Clown from her life, but from what he had heard, she seemed to not be the same innocent sweet woman he knew. It could work out for the best or the worse.
He stepped into the Fun House, startling slightly as a disarranged image of himself appeared in front of him. He knew he wasn’t looking his best after his beating from the League of Shadows, but he didn’t look as horrible as this mirror was making him look. He shook his head and walked towards the back. “Harley!” he shouted out to her, stepping over broken glass and walking through the maze finally seeing a table with food items.
At least he knew this was the place she was having this party.

(OOC: there's no better way to enter the villaining scene than with a party! Hope I'm not too much of a downer.)
Outside the entrance to the amusement park, a single figure stood. It was tall, and clad in robes that fully concealed its body, save for its right hand, which clutched a dire looking staff. It looked around at the shadows, as if looking for someone, before the hood turned back over to face the sign. "Potential recruits..." Cyphus whispered to himself, before starting down through the park. As he walked, he adjusted his robes. It would be a real shame if those slipped off during this gathering. Mere mortals could not handle looking upon his face without losing their wits, Azathoth forbid these poor wretches saw his whole body.
He took his time looking around at the dilapitated structures and emptied out buildings, which reminded him of the dark, jagged crags of Ry'Leh, where he first saw The Dread Father. He dared not even think of his name now, for it might invoke powers that could ruin his chances with the others. He stopped outside the fun house, looking at the entrance. The faded colors, the scratched wood, all of it was dingy, and he didn't like a single inch of it. His leathery wings stirred on his back, causing the robe to shift slightly. He walked up to the doorway, and entered. He reminded himself that the people he would find here operated very differently from him. After all, they served a lesser purpose. He stepped into the party area, stopping so he was just barely discernable from the shadows. The air in the room seemed to be impregnated with the sound of insane whisperings and moans for a brief moment, before it cut out.
"I have heard there is a gathering of certain...individuals here. I have brought tribute, for the patroness of the event." He rasped out, more than awkwardly introducing himself. As a cult leader and a very serious man, these kinds of things were not his specialty, but building ties was always beneficial, even if it was ties with what appeared to be a circus clown and a man in a green...everything. His cult had eyes and ears everywhere, and potential allies were hard to find in these times. He let go of his staff, and it kind of just stood there as he reached into his robe and produced a small, wooden box, about the size of a fairly large book. The box had a hinged lid, but was bound shut by a padlock, the key to which was attached to the box by some tape. The box itself was of a fairly high quality wood, with some unreadable sentences etched all over the lid. Written in a language no mortal but Cyphus could read or speak, these sentences were a warning, condemning those who read the contents of the box to insanity and a life of gibbering madness. Although Cyphus would just tell her it's poetry. To offset the serious look of the box, it had a large bow on it, with a card saying "For Harley Quinn" hanging onto it.

"Over here!" Harley squealed as she saw the Riddler in his always dashing green, true many thought that Her and him would have made a nice mismatch couple, but Harley wanted to be solo for awhile. She came around a corner and crunched a few shards of glass beneath her boots as she walked over to her guest..wait make that guests.
Since anyone had seen her last, Harley seemed to have gotten slimmer, if that was possible. Her skin had gone to a paler white with a sickly looking tint to it, her hair was perminate colored half red and half black, She seemed to have gained an insane gaze in her baby blue eyes. All in all, Harley looked more serious and less playful, even her outfit had changed..leather corset, guns on her hips and very tight leather shorts.
"Hello boys, glad you could make it..." She grinned sinisterly, but her voice carried a sweet tone to it. Resting a hand on the holster of her right gun, Harley ran a finger through her black hair and looked at the two, first glancing at Riddler" Long time no see ....". Then she raised a slender brow at the stranger, her smile vanishing for a moment, her voice taking a darker tone" Who.. are you..."

"Me?" Cyphus asked, holding his visible hand to his chest. "You might have heard of me, I'm The Mindflayer. Although for you, I'll tolerate being called by my proper name, Cyphus Kane." He slowly said, stepping out so him and his present for her were more clearly visible. His staff floated onto his back, and strapped itself in. "I represent certain...interests, and I've been searching for outside contacts. Look, I've even brought you a gift." He rasped out and held the wooden box out for her to take in his human hand. It was something about Harley's eyes that seemed to interest him, because even though sh couldn't see his face, she could feel it in the back of her head that there was something terribly unholy and inhuman lurking under that hood, and it was peering into her eyes. "May I have the honor of learning your name, miss?..." He trailed off, expecting her to reply with her name or at least bounce or something. He realized he was out of his element here, but The Heralds of The Ancient Ones couldn't stay underground forever. Connections to the other parts of Gotham were important if The Awakening was to occur, even if they were a clown girl.

Edward heard Harley’s high pitched squeal that he was certain anyone in the city could hear from miles away. He walked towards he, somewhat surprised to see he was the first one here at one of Harley’s get together. Then again, most of the rogue gallery was not as keen as being on time as the Riddler.
He took in her interesting appearance. Normally Harley mastered her look through intense theatric cosmetics, but this certainly was not applied on makeup. Her skin had that same pale look that the Joker had, and instead of her hair looking dyed from some poor quality chemical hair substance, it looked naturally red and black. It looked like she had gone for a swim in the same bath the Joker had, and based on the rumors going around the two currently, the Joker supposedly going on a rampage about Harley’s disappearance, and her now supposed hatred for the man, certainly concluded that they had gotten into one of their tiffs. While Harley proclaimed she hated the clown, he highly suspected with a few flowers and jokes, the man would win her over. After all, that was how it always was with domestic violence victims.
But their current separation worked in his favor. Dealing with the Joker was always an unpredictable card to play, and not one he wanted to play unless it was necessary. Harley, on the other hand, while legitimately insane in her own right, could be manipulated and predicted his game of chess, a pawn he wanted placed on the table just right. She was his friend, after all.
As his mouth opened to respond, it snapped shut at realizing there was a presence next to him. A tall horribly dressed man. He gave it a look like a bug had just wandered out onto his kitchen counter. He sounded like a man who gargled rocks in the back of his throat, and he didn’t particularly like people who represented others. It meant there was an organization that had some extreme view they wanted to push onto society. He pulled out a lollipop from his pants with his good hand, undid the wrapper and placed it in his mouth, trying to calm his irritations and reminders of the organization he had just battled wits with.
He turned a look to Harley as he moved to look over her food options. “Harley, darling, your taste in friends certainly has gotten worse since I last saw you,” he noted.

"Harleen if ya don't mind..." She said to Riddler as she took the offered gift from the cloaked figure. Indeed, she took note of this stranger and his words, her mind bubbling with thoughts and plans for the future, should this meet and greet become something much more. Her smile returned as she began to unwrap the present and walked away from the two, littering the ground with bits of bow and paper.
Harley was nearly done unwrapping the gift when she paused for a moment and remembered she had guests," Oh... help yourselves to my sweets, They are to die for."

As Harley unwrapped the present she would find it to be a book. The cover was solid black leather, with the words "The King in Yellow" emblazoned on the front cover with gold. It had no author under the title, and the back cover was notably blank. Under his hood, whatever he had for a mouth curled into a smile as she unwrapped it. The robes he was wearing stirred visibly, and the hood turned over to face the man in the green suit. "The Heralds know of you, Riddler. From one man of mental intrigue to the other, I greet you." he said, with a slight bow of his hood and a hint of respect in his voice. He strode over to the table with the food, and picked up one of the Batman cookies with his visible hand and held it up to his hood. He turned to face Riddler, noticing the looks he was giving to his attire. "I do apologize for not dressing for the occasion, but going to get a tuxedo sized for me is...problematic." He said, and a pair of tentacles shot out of the hood and pulled the cookie under it. "oh, those are good..." He mumbled to himself, and another tentacle came out from under the hood and wiped the crumbs off before they all retreated back under the hood.

A book? Well, guess it is the thought that counts.. Harley gave a small smile to the cloaked figure as she laid the book down on a table near one of the many mirrors, this one however wasn't broken. In the frame of the mirror was not glass, but a nearly life sized picture of the Joker, with a few darts firmly planted in his head, surely Harley's anger towards the Clown Prince was...visible. All in all, she did have her reasons, though not many in Gotham had heard about the duo's spats and how the two are at odds with one another.
With a hum and a haw, Harley rejoined her two guests, somewhat unhappy that her big party was now seeming to be a flop. Picking up a cupcake she licked the icing fairly suggestively before smirking to her two male guests and sat atop of the edge of the dessert table. Crossing her legs she leaned to one side, her shapely figure showing off her assets, her guns sitting upon her hips like trophies.
"So..." She said with a Cheshire grin spreading across her face," What's new in Gotham, I admit I had to take a few days for... personal reasons, but I am feelin' much more free and relaxed..."

Cyphus watched as Harley went and put the book down on a table. He had a premonition she'd get around to reading it eventually, and it was only a matter of time. The eyes under the hood followed her movements, as he silently judged her. This one would do nicely, but he worried that she might be just too airheaded. Any whispered secrets of existence, revelations about the origins of humanity, and the unspeakable names of the Ancient Ones that silently brooded over the earth, waiting to reclaim it, would just fly over her head. After all, it was infinitely easier to drive homeless men to insanity than drive someone who's already insane in their own special way to Cyphus' own special breed of teeth-gnashing mindlessness.
The hood that concealed his sanity-shattering appearance followed her as she licked the icing of a cupcake, presumably for seductive reasons. Whether she was just being Harley Quinn or trying to seduce him and Riddler was yet to be seen. He was indifferent to her actions, as he considered himself above the carnal desires of humanity, but it did pique his interest. He stepped in slightly closer, taking a cupcake himself. "If it does not bother you, I would like to offer you a proposal." He said, focusing all of the psychic energy that surrounds him at all times. The cupcake writhed and twisted in his hand and turned into an eyeball, which quickly grew small red tentacles and dropped to the floor, writhing away through a crack in the floor.

"A proposal? aw jeez, we just met!" She giggled before sliding off the edge of the table. She walked over to him and placed an arm on his shoulder, resting on him like he was a kick stand or something. True, she was not in the mood for 'business' but what the hey, she could use something to occupy her days now that things were cleaned up between her and the Joker.
Her baby blues were bright with excitement as she looked into the depths of the hood, awaiting for a reply. This guy was interesting, spooky.. but interesting.

(OOC: Making a thread pitch!)
It immediately became clear to Cyphus that he had a real catch here. He knew her history, and intended on using it. False promises and the occassional piece of metaphorical candy would go a long way in getting what he wanted from her. He stared back at her through the hood, his ancient and inhuman appearance just barely hidden from her. Any normal man or woman would have receded from him screaming at this point, but Harley wasn't exactly normal. The weight of her arm on his shoulder was something he hadn't felt in a while. It had been so long since someone had phlysically touched him, apart from the people he killed during rituals, who tended to grasp at his facial tentacles and arms as he twisted a dagger in their chest and devoured their minds, sending their souls to the various realms of The Ancient Ones.
from under a fold on the robes on his shoulder emerged a tentacle. It was a glistening, dark green thing, resembling a leech in texture and feel. It felt her arm before receding back under the robe, and the hood turned to face her. Around eight tentacles emerged from under the hood, feeling the air just in front of Harley's face. "I need someone to help me and my friends break into Blackgate so we can acquire potential members. Are you up to it?" Echoed through Harley's head. It was obvious he was not speaking to her, or she would be feeling the air on her face from the movements of his mouth.

"Blackgate huh? Well I am more of a dinner and movie kinda gal, but hey...."She gave him a light pat on the shoulder as she walked away from him. Clearly this guy did not have a funny bone in him, that is if he had bones at all.. ew. Harley took in a deep breathe and sighed heavily," I wanted this to be my BIG Coming Home Party... and now it seems to be a flop and I am a little peeved right now...."
She drew both guns from her hips, standing squarely in-front of Cyphus, her sweet girl grin twisting into a rather blood lusting smirk as she narrowed her eyes at him," Give me at least two good reasons why I should help ya out there squid guy.... I ain't in the mood right now for fun and games...." She cocked the guns and took a few steps back, towards the trap she had prepared earlier for unwanted guests.

The hood cocked sideways in curiosity, the tentacles fully extending outwards, until they hung at about his waist. "Surely, you're not threatening me, are you?" He said, and the tentacles that he usually kept hidden in his other sleeve came out. He seemed to grow two feet taller as the tentacles he had for legs fully extended themselves. He always kept them retracted and rolled around on them like tires, but this was a unique situation. They came out from under his robe, these thick oily tentacles, the ends waving at the air. Finally, some tearin could be heard as his large, black leathery wings tore out of his robes, extending themselves to their full width. "I'll give you two very good reasons" Harley would hear in her head, along with some unintelligible whispers. "One, there'll be more money in it than you can imagine." One of the whispers said. "Two, if money's not what you seek, I can offer you revenge." Another muttered.
"But, because it would be a real shame to start a fight here, I'll add a third one." Cyphus said, and remained looking at her. Harley would suddenly feel the air of someone breathing down her neck and tentacles feeling at her back, but she would see that Cyphus and all of his extremities remained in front of her. "I'm not in front of you right now." his voice exchoed throughout her mind.

Ok this went from weird to down right creepy. Harley quivered as the voice in her head spoke. Once he was finished, she fired one gun to the figure in front of her and the other gun over her shoulder where she felt the breathing coming from. On the heel of her boot she spun around see what, if anything was standing behind her.
" Alright squidie, Let's get a few things straight.... I want the Joker strangling by his own yo-yo cord... and also...." Her voice went from venomous to sweet and innocent," I want Ice cream after this deal at Blackgate is through...."
( sorry for the short posts, lil hectic where i am)
