“..and when we come back, I’m going to reveal to you what really goes on in the city while the rest of Gotham sleeps. Stay tuned after these brief messages.” Sending an almost flirtatious wink in the direction of the camera angled directly toward her. Summer couldn’t help but smile as the new station’s signature music played before they went off air for a matter of minutes. Instantly, a younger girl rushed up to Summer to help her reapply her makeup, handing her a tube of red lipstick to apply herself. “Okay! That’s enough!” Summer exclaimed as the new intern nearly masked her entire face in powder. “You are supposed to powder my nose, not my entire face.” Slightly agitated, the redhead resisted the urge to roll her eyes as the girl quickly rushed away, leaving a trail of apologies as she left. Dropping it and taking a deep breath, Summer knew from first hand experience how hard it was to be the new girl around the studio. As frustrating as it was she gave the poor girl a break and adjusted her blouse and pearls with a sigh.
Ready for the camera she practiced several of her face exercises to loosen up the muscles in her face, staking her papers and sending a smile at her favorite camera man. He was actually pretty cute, but she wasn’t going to resort to dating a camera man when she had been with individuals in Gotham who rivaled her own fame. As ridiculous as it sounded, her current social standing was incredibly important to her and the last thing she wanted to do was go backwards. Her producer began to count down before they were live again, causing the familiar adrenaline rush that the redhead craved to flow through her veins. This story was sure to anger many different people in Gotham and expose certain people for who they really were. She had been collecting footage for the past two weeks now regardless of the mandatory curfew that had been set in place. Her producer was ecstatic with the footage she had collected, convinced that this was going to make their ratings go through the roof. Summer didn’t particularly care much about the ratings. While they were important, she worried more about the reactions she was going to get from her viewers.
Her white, pearly smile graced the main camera while the screen of her prompter began to glow with words. Summer insured her posture was straight and perfect as she waited for the ‘On Air’ sign to flash. “Welcome back…” The redhead began, faintly hearing a bit of commotion coming from the lobby. Assuming someone had simply dropped something she continued with her story, hoping to real the audience in with what she had to say. The rush she got from being on camera was incomparable to any other emotion that she could explain. She loved it, and being on camera was clearly her calling, something that she was meant to do. It was her time to shine and all the lights and cameras were on her and her only. It was time to inform Gotham some of the things that were going on while they were asleep….

The Gotham City News Network or GCNN building was the central hub for any television production going on in Gotham City. Everything from soap operas to the evening news broadcast was filmed inside this studio, including Gotham Live featuring the City's hottest new reporter, Summer Gleeson. And if you were a somebody in Gotham, you were on Summer's show. It was a way to reach millions, the perfect stage for advertisements, protests or even as a way to send a message. The lobby bustled with people and there stood The Joker, Harley Quinn and 30 goons with no one blinking so much as an eyelash at them. They were disguised and perfectly incognito. That is, of course, until they reached the reception desk. " Zis is an outrage!! What do yoo mean you 'ave never 'eard of moi before?!? I am ze great Joeseph Keur! Ze revolutionary Franch directeur! An zeeze are moi assistants! We are 'ere to film Le documentarie on ze effects zat zexual addiction can 'ave in animals in ze wild! We were zent for personally by ze Mademoiselle Glee-sone!"The wide eyed Joker slammed his fists down into the table. The receptionist gasped for words as she muttered and stammered her excuses over to him. "I'm sorry sir, I can find no record of your arranged visit. Is there anything else I can help you with?" Sighing heavily and bringing himself back to a grin, The Joker offered his hand to the young lady behind the desk. " Zere may be on zing....Smile..." The a short burst of green gas shot from The Joker's sleeve and into the girls face, making her cough and splutter at first and the wretch and writhe and laugh uncontrollably. The Joker and his gang moved forward towards the studios charging down doors and anyone that stood in their way. When Summer's program returned to broadcasting, the red 'on-air' light had been replaced with a purple box light with green text across it displaying the message 'NO AIR'. As the camera's began to roll, green Joker Toxin began to fill the studio and infecting the lungs of everyone inside. Bursting through the doors, Joker spun a revolver in his and and whistled as a burly henchmen dived over the desk and pressed a mask on Summer's lips. The audience and crew began panicking as the sound of guttural wrenching, screaming and uncontrollable laughter filled the dying studio. The Joker called to his goons who rushed into the room armed with assault rifles and gas masks. "Keep those film crew wallahs alive boys, I can't make a show without them!"The Joker hopped up onto the couch near Summer's seat where she entertained and interviewed guests on her show. Striding over to her coffee table, whistling, Joker kicked out into the audience an array of coffee mugs and vases. Those that had survived the initial assault had hands and items of clothing clasped to their mouths, rushing for the nearest emergency exits, with the air of general panic and screaming still very much present. Idly bringing the revolver up to shoulder height and then pointing it into the ceiling, Joker fired two shots before calmly speaking. "Back to your seats, people. The show is just about to begin..." Reloading the bullets back into their chambers, Joker glanced in a upper class manner behind him to the henchmen who were now righting Summer Gleeson back into her chair. The Joker spoke in a soft tone to her. "Welcome back, Miss Gleeson. Apologies for the abrupt entrance but we were having a problem with security." The Joker hopped over to the desk and kicked over the body of the girl who had been applying Summer's make up only moments ago, a giant smirk now affixed across her face. The Joker arched his back forwards and placed his right hand, still clutching the revolver in his chest and his left hand into the air in the position of a bow. "Apparently my guest appearance hasn't been accounted for in the office"

The moment Summer had opened her mouth to speak, she noticed a gaseous substance leaking from the studio vents in a bright green color. Instantly, the young reporter’s face went from pleasant to concern as she looked over toward her producer. “What’s going on?” She explained in a panic voice, rising from her comfy chair and her features contorted with fear. Suddenly what seemed like dozens of individuals burst through the doors of her studio? “W-What the-get out this instant! I’m supposed to be on air! Wh-What are you doing! Get off me!” A mask was strapped around the lower half of her face and she was forced back down in her chair by two very strong hands. Despite her efforts to stand back up, he was much stronger than herself, forcing the redhead to simply sit there and watch.
All of the unsuspected guests had masks similar to the one that had been forced on her face, however, those who did not have a mask were dropping like flies once experienced to the green gas that seemed to have quickly filled the room. Summer struggled against her captor, only momentarily stopping as she laid eyes on one figure in particular amongst the hectic crowd. Her eyes grew wide with undeniable terror as she looked upon the Joker, one of Gotham’s most infamous villains and someone who Summer Gleeson didn’t hope to meet unless he was on the other side of bars. After hearing a gunshot fire, a scream flew from the redhead’s lips and she attempted to rip free from the henchmen’s clutches. His fingernails were digging into her shoulders as she twisted and turned, hoping to free herself from the position.
Her live audience was running toward the exits while others were dropping like flies, she desperately attempted to make eye contact with her producer but he was nowhere to be seen. Summer unwillingly watched the travesty play out before her very eyes, unable to do anything but struggle endlessly. Attempting to slide down the length of her chair in attempts of crawling under her stage desk and toward the closest possible exit, she was quickly grabbed and shoved back into her chair, resulted in a whimper from the redhead as tight cords began to secure her where she was, extinguishing any hope of escape. Summer still continued to struggle and shimmied, making it hard for them to tie the ropes in proper knots or secure her properly until they paused in their efforts, simply grasping her shoulders tightly so she couldn't move from her seat. "Let go of me!" She looked around, noticing she was one of the few with a mask and her fears were confirmed instantly. The Joker wanted her here, despite how much she wanted to leave at this point.
Summer swallowed as the feared, paint covered-man began to approach her. She wanted to sink back in her chair and disappear, but that was far from realistic. She had done several shows revolving around the infamous clown, though she never thought she would have him on her show. Desperately wishing for security to burst in and run to her rescue at any moment, she couldn’t help but scream and cringe as he shot off two shots that fired her entire studio.
The local celebrity’s mouth was open in shock as he lept across her recently destroyed set, kicking over her make-up artist. Summer cringed once she saw the woman’s face, closing her eyes momentarily as if that might help her forget. “Guest appearance? You are mad. What makes you think you are welcome here? I don’t know what you think you are doing, but get off my set!” Summer spat with a sudden arrival of braverly, attempting to free herself from her chair, wearily eyeing the gun that the Joker possessed.
