After leaving the safety of a small community out in Kansas, settling in the cities were slightly different. The only true place Kara had fit in was when she was training back in Wonder Woman's home island.
There everyone had a skill of some type and most where strong enough to fight against Kara. It wasn't often she could find a sparing partner like that. And she had stayed in Metropolis for the fall and most of the winter. But with some of her classes at Gotham University, it was much easier to just transfer schools.
So now Kara found herself at a prestigious private school in Gotham, Gotham High School. Or was it Academy? All she knew was she had been offer a full scholarship because of her grades and her college classes. Otherwise she'd never be able to afford to go to a school like this. But it was the best school in Gotham.
She would excel in any course you gave her. It was who she was. And coming back to school after settling in Gotham as a bit different from the school in Metropolis. And both were much different from the one in Smallville.
The school back out there was small and close knit. Not as many students as these city schools. And here at Gotham Academy, she was used to the idea of the uniforms. Actually it made it easier. Clark had told her she would save her money that way instead of spending all her money shopping all the time.
At least she had a choice of how she wanted to wear the uniform. And with the warmer weather, she had opted for the vest rather than the blazer they could wear. And the white sleeves of the dress shirt were rolled to give her shortier sleeves.
As for the tie they had to wear, it hung loosely and she wore the navy blue kilt that matched the blazers they were to wear at times.
Kara tried her best to blend in. Her backpack over one shoulder and books in her other hand. The long blonde locks that usually hung loose were tied back in a ponytail and she wore lightly black framed glasses. Clark had thought it was a good idea. Back on the farm it was different. But in the cities there were more people that might recognize the young Super.
The Academy was quite large. A lot of history within the walls of the school showed in display cases and in framed pictures or old banners in the halls. It was hard for her to find her classes. And with all the books she had been handed, she was trying to juggle all of them as she walked down the empty halls.
She had promised Clark she wouldn't use her powers while in this school either as she had in her college classes that she would have to go to one later in the evening.
