James was taking a nightly float around Gotham while invisible monitoring how people this day an age live and act. He had seen almost two centuries of change in the lifestyles of these mortals from walking everywhere to driving around in automobiles. He loved the old ways of traveling either by horse or carriage though he preferred the first one better as he has had years of practice.
Turning visible again James summoned his skeletal horse and he began to ride around the streets as fast as he could. He could see the civilians scratching their eyes in disbelief of seeing a ghost. Taking this to a new level he commanded his horse to go up the side of a building. Passing by the windows he laughed as he saw people scream or take a second look to make sure they were not seeing things.
Finally reaching the roof top he looked over at Gotham and wondered what he could do next. "Nothing like a lovely night out for a run isn't it boy but it is now time for us to part" Jim said to his steed. Waving his arm the horse banished into thin air and James just stood there floating in thin air.
Seeing a lonely man walking down the street James got an idea on how to scare the poor sap. Teleporting behind the man the Gentleman Ghost began to talk "Excuse me my good man but don't you know it's dangerous to wonder the streets alone?" "Look buddy if your trying to scare me it will take more than a..." the man said as he turned around to see James "a..a..a..GHOST!!!" the poor guy began running away as Jim gave chase after him.
"Oh come now why does everyone run away from me" James then teleported in front of the man "When they can't really truly hide from the Gentleman Ghost." the man now almost as white as Jim fell to the ground in a fetal position tears falling down his eyes and crying out for help. James being a compassionate fellow held out his hand and touched the man to give him comfort. Slowly but painfully the man began to fell an unnatural coldness come over him.
"Whoops forgot I could do that, silly me" said James while laughing. Taking his hand of the man The Gentleman Ghost banished into thin air and disappeared to cause more havoc among the mortals of Gotham.
