Gotham was pretty when it was covered in white. Ice crystals, it almost sparkled. When it melted and the first hint of spring came, it was on a different level of pretty. Least it made the sun come out more. Which was a relief after some rainy days. Even the hail stones that repeatedly rattled on Kory's window, in her 'under the weather' recovery. Caused by the Doctor in the house of straw. Kory was just joyed to be finally getting outside more, although she wasn't too sure Dick was as convinced she was better, but Kory was just relieved she was in control… This wasn't control. As Kory stood closely behind… Giving Dick a moment with his parents. A trip she knew was important from him to do yearly, she liked offering him the company.
There was probably a lot to talk about. From Donna to even Kory herself…. Which she insisted to tell them they were together than just about what happened. They'd like to hear good news, she was sure… As Kory as quietly as she could and smiling sweetly. Held softly between her fingers some flowers. Dressed in a simple, but nicely flowing purple spring dress. Short, but just above the knee. Just a little classy. It was thinly strapped. So with the skin bare allowed for the sun to soak into her orange skin. Which ultimately made her feel stronger. As well feeling good. Her colour was defiantly back to be more golden and healthy in tone. Even the happy hint of rosy cheeks, but then that was hard to stop when Dick was around. Her hair was out like fiery red flames, not of course angry hair as she would get in battle mode, but defiantly lively. Tousling down and around her body. She wore round purple sunglasses, hiding her bright green eyes, but also hiding the faint traces left of the ware that had been sucked out of her. Her mid section was all but healed as well, having removed the bandages a day or so ago. Just minor extra give when Dick accidentally tickled her, but Kory hadn't regretted it. In fact really anything had seemed blissful given the alternative. Her joy was sometimes bigger than any pain… Or maybe someone was. As Kory was trying hard not to listen in… It was important for Dick and it was private, but she couldn't help herself from time to time. Least on the happier notes. Kory wanted to if she could just brag about their son. How amazing he was and how much she was thankfully for them for having made it happen… As much one would think, it didn't make Kory so sad about her own parents. Not able to visit them as such. There was no grave. Not even for Tamaran, but tamaraneans when they looked back, it was different. Although Kory was possibly more than tamaranean now, but she couldn't change everything…
"I hope I'm not interrupting? Can I give Mary and John their flowers? From the very park you took Dick too… Teaching him about the flower game… I can only hope I am the special person, but I can honestly say I love him… How does one resist his heart?"
With what left was holding Kory back. Little was now. As assuming he was upon knee. Her arms without of course making him jump, comfortingly came around his shoulder and neck. Feeling the touching of cheeks as her bubbly innocent voice asked. Honestly not wanting to ruin the moment that Dick wanted, but she wanted to say hi. Also to make sure Dick was comforted and reminded he wasn't alone. Kory at the very least could bring the happiness out of the situation. His parents were gone, but not out of his life. He needed the grave to be reminded, but Kory saw it easily through him. As Kory's hand sweetly sprang the flowers. As she asked in Dick's ear. Before her words mentioned were more directed at his parents. Not going into detail, about one of many things Dick had shared with Kory. Her hand motioned gently to give Dick the flowers. There were different colours. Yellow. Red. A Blue, which was rare, but Kory found it. Dick just wasn't looking hard enough, probably to busy looking for a purple one.
Kory didn't elaborate upon what was or could have been said between parents and son. He was only young at the time, but she was sure girls or someone in the future trickled into a possibility. Probably they had thought they'd be here to see, which Kory couldn't say they had wished her. Nor Dick. What small boy wishes for a orange, red head alien to fallen from the skies… He probably would think his parents sent him a very strange angel. But Kory couldn't know, she always lived in the present. The moment and there was a lot surrounding how she came here, but how in all the planets she she just happened to come to Earth, was but a mystery, but as always Kory didn't regret it. For what she did know. Was how she felt about Dick Grayson. The young man at the time that had welcomed her with shy arms at the time, but over time there was more… But from the moment she saw him, she liked his heart. There was just initial warmth, not so much seen, but felt. As Kory happily planted a kiss upon his cheek before reaching a hand down to his heart, opening was one of the 'R' letters from one of the first suits… Even though he was passed Robin, Nightwing had no letters., but she knew the robin suit was part of the Grayson suit. Full circle, as Dick would say. They were proud of him. Kory was proud of him. They all loved him. He needed to remember that part…
"We should visit more often… I like talking with them… Did you happen to tell them about today? What we have planned for Gotham and a very special princess?"
Kory more said as a suggestion, if Dick wanted to come more often, she was more than happy to come. As she in her very innocent way expressed her joys in talking with them. How could she not? It was usually about Dick and family. Dick lost his and Kory had lost hers apart from her sister, not that was the most loving relationship and the fact she was the one to banish Kory from Tamaran. But family was still found. It was here. As Kory sweetly cuddled Dick around his shoulders and hands almost around his chest. Before of course asking on a lighter note if Dick had mentioned the chocolate hunt, that they had planned… Well, Kory had an idea for. It started small, given a child needs fun and chocolate every once and a while. Phoebe was defiantly a special someone, whom Dick was also intended to bring an offer to, which Kory was happy if she said yes and had the natural instinct to protect.
There was also the orphanages, that Kory wanted to help given chocolate fun to and then it just led to an egg hunt in Gotham and Bludhaven. Possibly New York, given at the hands of the Titans. But, given Starfire was out of action for a bit. This was giving back still in her style, but flying around hiding the eggs, had come to a stand still with Dick. So it ended up being a together deal with friends. Least Kory assumed. Of course extra special hunt was at the mansion, it was telling how often Bruce let the girl out of the house or would allow, but this would be harmless. If bruce even knew was questionable, but in fairness. Kory was excited to see again and surprise her. Kory was naturally nurturing, but probably added given the lack of her later child years a slave. Life was just to short not to take your child year when you can before they're gone. Not that fun dies as a child. As Kory keeps telling Dick.

Dick stood with his hands in his pockets. Just letting the cool breeze pass by him. He was in his own mind when he spoke with his parents. Away from the world and it's distractions.
Though it was Kory who brought him back from his world. Her voice was enough to awaken him. It was all he needed to keep him here.
"Go ahead," he said, slightly turning to her and giving a slight smile.
It was never an easy moment to pull himself from over the loss of his parents. And Kory knew it wasn't easy for him to face his past. But time had mended some of those wounds. Though many still remained and would probably carry on for the rest of his life.
He couldn't run from his past. And he could never forget. To forget, would be for him to lose himself. He was a Grayson and always will be.
Letting Kory have her words with them, he let his mind drift a bit. His eyes closed, feeling the warmth of her along side of him and was the sun showed from behind the clouds at times.
When she finally addressed him again, he came back to reality. "If I told them, there wouldn't be much to tell them for the next visit," Dick said as he offered his arm for Kory to wrap her's through.
He looked to the flowers they had gotten for the grave as Kory had set them down. Very year he came back. And to this day he hadn't missed it. It was something he did take a bit after Bruce. But he learned to move on. But he wouldn't forget.
Looking at his watch, Dick looked to Kory. "We better get going," he said.
Not any easy task for him at the moment. But they couldn't keep the people waiting for them.

It hadn't been to quick when Kory interrupted Dick, it was his special moment and Kory was just pleased to be here. Supportive in her own way. Much now where and how he stood. One would simply see a man, but so many looked up to him. Called him their hero and Kory was fortunate to be of them. Not that she didn't return the favour. She had lingered what seemed close to an hour, with a simple gaze upon him. Watching. Half knowing even if had been internal what he was telling his parents… In all this time, it was still surreal for him and no doubt with the heart he had. As Kory soon apart from her own curious nature felt the moment right enough to bring him back to earth. Even though that was a funny way to put it. Simply coming closer behind him. The caring touches around his neck. Almost felt the sensation of his pulse awaken for a moment at her presences, before it settled to a more slower pace. She smiled warmly as he awoken as her hands calmly withdrew from around him. Gently trailed over his shoulders and with faint pressure down his shoulder blades. His back. Not trying to rush him, but she happy to see his face again as he turned to her. Even a simply and yet tiny smile, but it was still a smile. Though his eyes said enough. Holding the flowers between them. She reached a gentle hand against his cheek. She didn't breath the same way, but she could feel the rhythm along with his. Slipped her hand down his chest to his torso, before letting go. There was little need to be said. Though she smiled back at him before, she stepped a little and knelt down before his parent's graves
"It defiantly adds a pop of colour, especially when you… If you are looking… I'm sure Dick told you… What he did… In my moment of weakness. Which is hard for me to admit, my parents would be saying to not go that way. I have to be strong. X'hal knows, I fought as hard as I could and yet there was just a moment… It was no longer just the screams and cries… For a moment it was all back again… I feel more at peace now, at least not being so lost in my own head, but closing my eyes, I at times don't know where I'll end up. Though I never forget where I want to be… Or how I want to feel."
Kory delicately placed the flowers down before her, falling a little more comfortable upon her knees and sitting a little on her own calves now. With her orange fingers arranging them a little in a little glass vase. So they be hard to miss. Talking to a grave it defiantly wasn't something Kory did too often. It seemed more human, but it wasn't so hard to really see why, looking back in certain ways wasn't tamaranean, but there were parts of her now. That was sure it was a human way to feel or maybe it was just conflicting a little. Kory wasn't really sure what or how she was coming about it, but letting things out was the right way. As Kory mentioned to a degree about the recent mishap that had befallen herself. To which she smiled in regards who played a good part to save her, though hadn't she held on in however she did, there probably wouldn't have been much left to save. Not that she was sitting down now complaining, there was just a lot of confusion she had went through and a lot of it… Fear, it wasn't so much fear. As Kory spoke what she did out loud and kept the rest to her chest. Remembering at least the surreal moment of something long long in the past. Bringing something like that back in such a way, it wasn't natural. Even in shear darkness there was little to escape the screams and cries she recalled. No matter how much there was, one was still left with the realisation you were all you had… Her voice remained on the softer side, as her eyes could try to find the words as best she could with still what confusion she had. Her natural cling to the brighter side, otherwise falling apart would seem rather pathetic and giving up. As she said more peaceful. At the least had control…
She smiled softly, before closing her eyes as she had subtly mentioned. She could feel a tiny shard now. Faintest tear fell, trickling down her cheek. She didn't know where she'd end up, but along with her warm smile now. In least knowing her own desires. Had enough to feel safe. With a simple breath with her smile and a bit of tears. Finger happily played against some of the petals, ever so lightly. As she knelt for just a moment of pure silence for a few seconds. Pulled back some of the dirt and places the r within. Kory was sure it was buried enough. Pushing the dirt back and slowly got back to her feet. With a sweet kiss upon her hand and placed it upon the graves. Turning back to Dick with a more comforting smile and her hand motioned to wipe the tear from her cheek. Kory was as ready as he was and she was defiantly happy about it. As Dick offered his arm, it was a sweet touch and Kory gave a bubbly yet sincere expression to his words. Not hesitating as she slipped her arm through his and not too hard, but firmly hugged it. Bringing herself close enough to his side. As her other hand she placed a top of his arm. Rubbing her nose against his cheek sweetly before kissing him firmly also upon his cheek and gently placed her head against his shoulder. Not that she was insecure, but she felt more secure.
"I take it then, you'll be coming back soon… Our days are hardly filled with very little, Dick… Simply watching you bath is adventurous."
Kory softly and slowly spoke in the comfort of the moment and simply Dick. With of course a hint of amusement to the fact that they tend to run into things probably more so than others, given what they do, but supposedly less surprising depending on what it was. Randomly commenting about Dick in the bath tub, which meant a little something to her, though the simplest things she was looking to more now that she had been unable to see it for some time. Turning her head a little, that he could see the subtle happiness in her eyes and calmness he along brought to her… Her eyes that had watched him, curiously followed his. His watch? Kory almost laughed at the irony, but no they couldn't be late. Life certainly didn't wait. It was either take it or regret it and Kory never regretted…
"Uh-huh! In other words, you're coming with me!"
With a little sweetly mumbling sounds in response to Dick's suggestion they leave. Her green eyes danced with his with her more sincere joyful way and a little playful. Her hand reached and tapped him on the nose. Whether there had been a car, Kory was in need of feeling her own wings. Least one thing she had as long as she could remember. Just a part of being what she was and who she was. Little thought required. Flying came natural. As with all the closeness already present. It wasn't much of a stretch to pull him in enough, to take Dick with her as in moments fell up through the air. Not that they had far to fly too, but she was taking the excuse. Flying was always fun and bonus with another. Extra bonus when it was Dick. It wouldn't take long until after a few weaving through trees and some buildings. Until the mansion came to view and they replanted their feet upon more steady surface. Again with that thing. She'd allow him, because Kory would more than likely just go up and knock on the door.

"Even the simplest things to you are adventurous. And don't take that the wrong way. It's one of the many things I enjoyed learning about you," Dick replied.
This was after all a princess from another planet. And all the everyday things the heroes did on earth were common to them. An everyday practice had seemed to fascinate the alien princess when she had first joined the team.
And some of the team would jokingly compare Gar with her over the simple minded acts Gar had at times. It was more to poke fun at Gar because Kory had an excuse for being new to the planet, were Gar just sometime lacked the common sense to work out the simplest things. It was all in good fun between friends.
"I didn't think I had much of a choice on that," Dick commented jokingly.
Of course he could do what he wanted. But Kory would have pleaded that he come any way,

It was a good start for the day. Spent some needed time. That had greatly been overdue. It brought the quiet. Chilled. Though with the spring weather bounding around at them, it was a perfect day to be out… Very much out. Kory was certainly more happier, joyful… Freedom was certainly a pleasure. She never wanted to regret or let it pass her by. Grasp it tightly and live it up. However she found herself being able to do. Grasping Dick tightly against her was like every moment before and any moment after. Flying solo was nothing to snicker at, she had since she was a small girl, but there was pleasure in the company. Daylight swirling around in the gentle heat. Although at night it was more quiet and plus perfect to make out with the star above. There was often a great distance she took him. Not when it was too high, but pretty high. That whole saying about love. The lifting you up feeling, almost like you can fly. So it pretty much was literal for them. What was left of the light tears that trickled down her cheek. At his words, it certainly made her smile. Even almost an extra colour to her cheeks. Due to his very kind words. His way of making her feel special. Her skin generally tingled with him even slightly near, but more so now.
"How could I? You're the kindest man I know… I wouldn't be able to navigate this planet I call home as I do, if it wasn't for you, Dick… I'd be what…? A crazed head of a chicken?"
With feet finally planted upon the familiar grounds of the beautiful mansion. Kory regained a hold with Dick's arm. As she sweetly responded to him trying not too offend her, but in all truthfulness, she couldn't see how she could have taken it the wrong way. Least to her it was a very sweet thing for him to say. In a way saying he loved her and it was more than average… A lot, maybe. As she drew close enough, that walking wouldn't be hazardous. Expressing her own words of how she felt about him. Meaning of course his heart most of all. Almost the warmest place on Earth, most of the time. It was astounding there was many things he could learn and come to enjoy about her. She was simply Kory, whatever that meant. She knew if it wasn't for Dick and his guidance, it probably be a little different. Much like a headless chicken, just couldn't quite recall the phase. As she amusingly asked Dick and also a little confused.
"Oh, Dick. But you always have a choice… Just not in this case… You drive to slow… I mean the traffic…! Did I mention I love you?"
With an assuring look to Dick, that he always had a choice. Although it was a little hard without he grab and take of it all. She simply looked to him innocently, with a playful shrug of her shoulders. Had she seen doubt in his eyes, maybe…? As she approached the front door of the mansion. As naturally she would normally do. Mildly letting out he drove to slow as an excuse, she meant against her flying, but certainly didn't come out that way, not that he was fast. Kory looked to him with a blush to her cheeks, before trying to cover her tracks? Dig a hole, well a playful one, maybe? To which she, Kory assured she did love him still. Her hand motioned to brush a bug or a twig, that was caught in Dick's hair upon flight mode. Motioning to kiss him, but there was a chance he wouldn't now after that. Bringing her hand up to begin the knocking upon the door. Not a long wait until Alfred answered the door. With a polite greeting and also pointing out Dick didn't need to be knocking on the door.
"Happy chocolate day, Alfred… Did Bruce like his easter basket?"
Kory brightly greeted, he thanked her for the basket of eggs, she had sent to him on behalf of Dick and herself. Kory politely gave him a sweet kiss to his cheek. Following into the mansion. There were already probably eggs nearby, but Kory curiously asked about the basket she had sent for Bruce. Though Alfred suggested that Bruce hadn't seen it yet, Kory hoped he'd enjoy it. As a polite gesture at the very least. Walking into the entrance of the mansion and stopping. Upon Alfred's questioning and Kory looked around for familiar faces. Alfred assuring the surprise hadn't been blown, as far as they knew. Kory smiled warmly and knowingly towards Dick, hold his hand gently. Alfred politely left them, to go get the empty baskets for the hunt and Kory followed Dick. He knew this place in ways she didn't. Whispering in his ear for a later rain check as she pointed up the stairs. In direction of his old room. Laughing softly, between the small talk. Awaiting the young princess of the household.

"Don't worry about the whole chicken thing," Dick replied.
He smiled a bit at her not quite understanding the saying. Then again when some of his teammates from foreign countries or planets tried to understand them, it was rather understandable of their confusion. Kory was trying, but for now he was going to move on with the day's plans.
"Well next time, feel free to fly while I drive here," Dick dared her to challenge him, all in good fun.
His driving skills were beyond that of the average drive on the road. He knew how to handle high powered vehicles at top speeds. But he knew what Kory meant. She enjoyed the time with him.
When Alfred answered the door, Dick said back a greeting and joked about trying to be polite. Though in later days, he would have done the opposite and left his shoes at the door. And a backpack somewhere down the hall. But with being moved out, he had a bit more respect for the space of his family.
"The dog would have gotten to it long before Bruce would," Dick replied.
Bruce wasn't one much for celebrating events. Even Christmas at times could be another day to Bruce depending on his mood. But the others would continue on anyway. Bruce would simply join in.

One of the realities of Phoebe's powers is that it's nearly impossible to surprise her, even if it may have been funner if it was. But that's just as well, as she actually doesn't really appreciate those times that surprises do happen. So when Kory and Dick arrive at the mansion, she's fully aware that they've arrived, why they're there, and even what Kory was whispering to Dick. Knowing much, much more that she should is a bit of a hobby of hers...
Especially since she's taken up the habit of constantly reading Alfred's thoughts. It's hard for her not to, really, as it's really quite informative - the old butler seems to always be the first to know about all the goings on in the household, and in between bits of news his thoughts are generally quite pleasant. Even if she thinks he could stand to have a more relaxed personality. She hasn't informed him that she's been conducting such a massive invasion on his privacy, but it's always been her habit to read people's minds and keep them unaware of it rather than seeking permission or forgiveness - she wouldn't stop even if she was asked to, so everyone simply gets along better when she refrains from making it too obvious that she's been 'peeking' a lot more than they'd really be comfortable with. Instead she only occasionally reminds people of her ability when she becomes too impatient with them telling her things that she already knows.
Though at the moment, her mind is quite focused on one thing: chocolate! Powers or no powers, she's still very much a child and is certainly not going to pass up the opportunity to fill herself with the substance at every opportunity. Never mind that she's liable to make herself sick on the stuff - it's totally worth it! Still, she manages to contain her excitement to a reasonable level, forcing herself to walk at a calm pace to the door rather than running as fast as she can to greet them the moment she knows they've arrived. She's still quick enough, in spite of the ridiculously large size of this house, to be heading down the stair only very shortly after they come in, but at least she didn't turn up the exact second they did - she does have some ability for self-restraint.
"Hi, Kory! Hello, Dick!" she calls out when she sees them, a notable bounce in her step as she walks quickly down the staircase. Today is a very, very happy day, after all!

There was a short pause. Kory was sure she had made her remark. Least was trying too. As Dick then said not to worry and eyes his smile… Knowing for sure that hadn't been… Correct! Understandable that someone could get a little confused. Who in the world would compare themselves to a chicken with its head cut off? Why was it a chicken? It just could be very random sometimes. Why couldn't it be a rabbit? Though maybe she just had easter much on the brain. Or more or less tongue… Oh, right! She made sure not to think to much of the special surprises. Dick was entertaining… Enough. Smiling sweetly along side him as they made for the door.
"If you say so!"
Kory sweetly responded. Eyeing him, not entirely sure, but she certainly for the most part trusted his judgement. Least in regarding these human traits and ways. He was just better at them. As they approached closer. Kory slipped her arm free, dropping her hand to hold his. It certainly was a pretty house. Particularly the garden. Her eyes peaked, but she couldn't say she knew any of the good hiding spots. That was a smart move to enlist some helpful friends. Kory looked to him a little questioning mixed with amusement at his daring words. Mind a little paused as they paused before the a looming door. He was just trying to poke while she was down, right? Eyed him down, though in truth, most defiantly in fun.
"You'd know I'd get here quicker, you weren't planning to ditch me? That wouldn't be very nice. They're your family… Or is this, so you can crunk alone? I wasn't laughing at you. It was cute…. Ok, I was laughing a little."
That didn't really needed to be suggested. They knew her flying would generally be faster. Eyeing him, as she questioned him possibly ditching her. Showing up here first, it defiantly could allow. Though why would he ditch her at his 'Bat Family' house. So she'd end up on the family table, in awkwardness with Bruce? Although it wasn't too awkward now, but she still wasn't sure she'd be much on his list. She certainly have to problems hanging out with Force. Looking at her nails, maybe she could visit again and do their nails… Looking back to Dick, asking maybe he wanted to be alone in his car so he could listen to his taste in music. Rock out. On the couple of times she caught him, not on purpose. He just wasn't paying much attention. Pausing with a smile. It really was cute, but admitting it was also a little funny. Most because he felt he had to hide it and also being a little unexpected. Happily. Bubbly. Smiling. As they followed suit closely behind Alfred through the door and inside the mansion. Almost backtracking in her tracks at Dick's comment and looked to him with some concern.
"X'hal! But I thought chocolate was bad for dogs? I hope he is ok… Remember when Gar ate chocolate as a dog?"
Kory expressed to Dick, before questioning the danger. She was pretty sure, from what she knew or was told. Looking around the place. It was big enough so hopefully he was just hidden or sleeping elsewhere. Maybe even playing. Though certainly didn't want to be a cause of him being unwell or worse. As she looked too Dick, asking if he recalled when Gar ate chocolate. When the boys made him worry, of course it was more harmless and more funny. It was pretty funny, apart from how worried he got, but boys. Kory lightly shook her head. Before the galloping excitement came… As the pint sized super hero made her presence, making her way down the stairs. Taking a little time, but Kory knew excitement. Even when restrained. Kory smiled sweetly, very much elated by the excitement herself.
"Greetings Force! X'hal! Have you grown a foot since I last saw you? You're defiantly a young lady now… Though we are never to old for a little bit of the holiday spirit… Have you been good?"
Brightly Kory greeted the young girl, not really sure of her name other than Force or otherwise known as Mini Starfire. Either way, one thing was sure. She was special. Initiated a friendly hug. It had been what a few weeks, maybe months. It was hard to really gather time since the recent kidnapping, but most delighted to see Force. Warmed Kory's heart. Stepping back a little noting, she defiantly looked like she'd grown. Offering a wink in regards to the joyful holidays, such as this day. Although getting older, didn't mean the stopping of fun nor the enjoyment of life. Though nothing like the innocences then when you're a kid. Most fun! Before looking to Force curiously… After a little thinking… Sound of music! Green fields. Flowers. A tin man? Was there a tin man? Kory questioned as she was making sure to not give any hints away. Oh, The wizard of oz! That could work. Kory giggled a little under her breath at the man in a lion's suit. Wasn't lions meant to be a little scarier! Kory playfully shook her head as she looked to Force amusingly. 'Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue. And the dreams that you dare dream, really do come true. Someday I'll wish upon a star. And wake up where the clouds are far behind me. Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me…" The song flowed in her mind. Singing to it.

"Maybe," Dick replied about leaving her behind.
"You know if I were someone else, I'd find that a bit strange," he returned in comment over her watching him jam to his music. Not that it was often.
As they stood in the door way, Alfred catching some of their comments, Dick thanked him. When they were in, it wasn't much longer that the little girl came bounding down the stairs.
"I remember, but Gar had more than any dog should have," he replied.
There were a lot of times Dick and Kory shared with the Titans of course. And he could easily recall that time with Gar. You always at one time or another had to keep an eye on him. Especially when he was goofing around...which was almost always.
"Hello, Force," Dick said as they were greeted by the little girl shortly after Alfred let them in. "How have you been?"

The instant that Phoebe becomes aware of Kory's desire for a hug, she's in the alien's arms giving her a particularily strong and enthusiastic bear-hug with a happy grin on her face. If it were anyone else but Kory she actually might have held back a little, but she knows that she's in no danger of giving Kory a hug she can't handle. Just so long as Kory doesn't give her a full strength hug!
Though as she releases the hug, there's a very brief moment where a troubled look is on her face as she catches a stray thought that she doesn't like at all... But the look disappears quickly, and she laughs and comments, "An inch, maybe... And you're supposed to be good for Christmas, not Easter." Well, perhaps technically you're supposed to be good all the time, but it's the former holiday that everyone talks about. Then again, Phoebe is a particularily moral-minded child, so she doesn't need a holiday to remind her to be on her best behavior - she pretty much always is.
And she can't help but laugh again when Kory belatedly realizes that her mind might be being read. "I've never really seen that movie..." she comments, though it's well-known enough that she thinks that she knows the jist of it. She won't mention that the surprise has already been spoiled so there's no need to try to keep the secret, but Phoebe's also not so particular that she won't tell a white lie. If she simply pretends to be surprised it will make Kory happy, that would make her happy, so surely that little bit of acting doesn't count as doing a bad thing.
Finished greeting Kory, it's now Dick's turn. And since she doesn't sense him wanting a hug, she simply gives him a very large smile as she answers, "Good. But it's kind of boring here..." she replies quite honestly.

Really? Maybe? Kory looked to Dick playfully. She sure hoped there for the hesitation in his voice. That it lingered more on the no side of maybe. There would probably be many future time spent with his adopted family… Would that possibly make Bruce, Kory's future adopted father in-law? Kory lingered on the idea momentarily at his door. Of course she was thinking down the track. As Kory hesitated to slip her hold from Dick's arm as if playful protest to contemplating a maybe, but Kory just couldn't do it. Gave him the benefit. She could always pinch him or something later, but she was never the revengeful type. Rather move on… Hopefully with Dick, than without… Although maybe she could have some fun time with Bruce if Dick did manage to stand them both up one time… Kory was sure Bruce knew how to play fish… Oooh, snap! There was defiantly some worthy, possibly rainy days in their future.
"If you were someone else, there be something wrong with this relationship… I can honestly say with all your quirks there isn't a part I don't like. You wouldn't exactly be you without them and I don't know if you know this… I like you, Dick!"
Kory commented back to Dick with an amusing look. Barely able to even place someone else, but Kory could gather she defiantly wouldn't be here if he was someone else. Not that she wanted to be anywhere else, but it was true there were humans that were less accepting of her. Although she wasn't so sure it was strange had much to with it. She more felt it was misunderstood, than strange. Otherwise they were just as strange as she was, although Kory could argue she was more in touch. How was more in touch stranger than being out of touch? But with no desire to point fingers. Kory least felt more human. She was defiantly doing what she could to 'fit in'. Hopefully without losing her dignity. Not that Kory needed to assure Dick, but in his curiosity over her watching him jam to his music, Kory just honestly couldn't see the strangeness in admiring even the tiniest things in a person. Especially someone you loved. Whether she did like it or not, it was acceptance more than anything, because it was him. There was no shame in it that she would ever see. No less than the beauty of it, even in all its strange glory. Dick had the so called bad traits. Everyone had them. Help balance a person, one would suppose. He could be stubborn. He could worry so much, that Kory would worry, but taking all those faults away. What would he be? The less trying to fix someone and more trying to accept… It's a lot more peaceful. If anything Kory offered the support that allowed Dick to be the best man he could be. As Kory looked to him with a cute smile. As if she was going to reveal something surprising and paused with a dramatic breath. Before telling him what, well one would assume was plain for him to see by this point. Poking fun at him in light jester. Of course, like was putting it lightly, but like was defiantly core of where all the rest had started from.
"Any excuse to get his stomach scratched…"
Kory laughed at Dick's words with a nodding knowing smile and the joyful look in her eyes as responded. What could you really say? Gar was, unique. In a good way of course. He always had a lot to say, confidence, when they were in a world that wouldn't always be so accepting of their differences. They were the team of freaks as Vic put it on occasion. Where they could make the best of who they really were, together. Finally past the door and already the full force was upon them. In all her special glory. Kory's eyes almost bubbled up tears…. Joyful tears of course. She had greatly missed her friend. If it wasn't for her lapse with Dr Evil and apparently Force wasn't allowed to leave the mansion from what Kory was told. Kory would have defiantly insisted on girl time, Kory defiantly certainly had more time now. Somehow Kory couldn't imagine Bruce had much desire for tea parties, Kory loved tea and parties. Paint nails. Kory pondered curiously as if she even knew Force's favourite colour, before Kory even opened her arms. She was embraced by the tiny, but quite strong arms of Force. Kory didn't return the favour in trying to out do, just the general firmness without any damage. Though Kory did linger for a bit, it had been too long. Happy to see Force was well, enough despite cooped up in the mansion. Not that it was running out of space, but how many times could a person stare at the fancy walls and objects, that Kory was sure there was probably a 'do not touch' rule. It hardly had a fun stamp.
"Wow, an inch is still pretty impressive… Ah, I guess you've never heard of the easter bonus…. Though with the knack I have, I'm sure you have been a very good princess."
Kory expressed happily as she let go from the hug and put out a gentle hand for a potential high five. Surely that felt like something to high five too, but Kory wasn't new to going out of the lines so to speak. Maybe it was christmas, Kory had pondered as Force pointed it out, no doubt Force defiantly was wise. Whether an easter bonus existed before, Kory was happy to make it exist now. Not that she would exactly reveal what the bonus was, then probably wouldn't be a surprise. There was no doubt, Force was a good person… So the truck loads had been well justified. It was rare to find a bad tamaranean princess, Komand'r was subjective. Just as Kory was trying to play it cool. Randomly thinking of magical wonderful things. Despite the confusion in the middle. Before Force piped in… Reading her mind. Kory blushed, it had been some time since she'd been in presence of races that had that ability, but Kory couldn't recall them ever being this young. It was a little spooky, feeling the little hairs on her arms, but in a fun away of course. Clever thing. Although given how much Kory could think, Force might want a mute button unless she enjoys the commentary tamaranean style.
"… You've never seen Wizard of Oz? Never seen Dorothy click her heels? It's quite magical!… I'm more than happy to watch it with you anytime, your free too… Oooh, and maybe Lady and the Tramp… I love that movie!"
Kory questioned mildly shocked, but given she was under Bruce's care. Was she really surprised? Expressed happily in details of what Kory could recall from the film without of course spoiling it. The clicking of the heels was always a cute moment. The music of course. Kory kindly offered to watch it with her if she liked. Whether it was here or somehow managed to get out of the house and maybe visit them in Bludhaven. Where ever, fun would defiantly be in toe. As Kory's mind could more than easily go there, as proof as she jumped to though a more animated film. One she could consider as on her list of favourites. Cute furry talking dogs, what was not to like. Tramp reminding her a little of Dick, might have helped. Though Lady was her favourite and the little scotty dog. If by chances Force did know about the surprise, it wouldn't upset Kory. It was questionable if really anything could make her unhappy to day. With so many children in Gotham, Bludhaven and hopefully the rest of the country if not the world. It hardly seemed a bad day at all. They were some of the best years. Before one knew it, they can be gone or even taken away. Kory could almost bump Dick in the lack of offering a hug, adding her own smile and look to Force, as if thinking 'he's just shy'.
"… And Bruce wonders why you left… Not that Bruce isn't without his charms, he's just a busy man, that I'm not sure he even knows about balloon animals… Maybe we need to throw him a party one of these days… In the mean time, I think we can fix the lack of fun in this place… But I do believe Dick wanted to discuss something first…. What's you're favourite colour, Force?"
With a little amusing pause and soft giggling laugh at Force's words. Was possibly an understatement. As Kory jested lightly given Dick left, of course knowing there was other surrounding reasons, but it sounded cute and possibly understandable. Bruce wasn't exactly taken the Robin's to disney world at every rim, but she wasn't going to say he didn't try when he could. As Kory smiled and lightly remarked positively. Maybe that was it, Bruce needed to experience fun, to give it. As Kory suggested to throw him a party. A more less adult and classy party. Moving on as Kory assured they were here to fix the boredom and Kory was defiantly close to just telling Force about the hunt in and around the place. She wasn't generally wasn't the best at keeping secrets, but Kory could defiantly try and then of course it depended on the secret and the reason… Of course, there was another reason for the visit as Kory mentioned Dick was wanting to discuss something. Not that she was trying to speak for him, though did add to him possibly be shy. Kory smiled, before her eyes looked around the room. Pulling some ribbons out of her purse, as she curiously asked about Force's colour preference. Not that was what Dick wanted to discuss.

"Throwing a party for Bruce would not be as entertaining to him as it would be to you, Kory," Dick spoke truthfully.
He knew Bruce well enough to know that it would almost like Bruce standing out in the rain. As Bruce Wayne he had to socialize, but at home that was different. His joys in life were few and known to others. Though there were a few the bat-family could name. Catwoman being one of them.
"There is something I want to ask, and it's not what Kory just said," Dick added to the conversation.
He loved Kory very much, but he knew how distracted she could get at times. And that could be very easily. She also had a temper.
Work seemed a little off for the events Kory had planned for today. Though it was none the less important to get the information to Force.
"It could wait a while though. I know Kory already made plans to celebrate and have some fun today," Dick said.

When Kory goes from a hug to a high five, honestly even Phoebe is starting to think that she's overdoing it a little. Then again, Kory's energy is simply too infectious, especially when you not only are talking to the alien but reading her mind. Though she also can't help but get slightly embarrassed when Kory gets creeped out by her mind reading - she never means to be creepy, but she can't fully help that. At least Kory doesn't seem to be too bothered, so she shakes the feeling off with another grin.
But it actually isn't Batman's fault that she hasn't seen a lot of those classic movies that everyone's seen - she hasn't been living here for that long yet. No, it's the government's fault for believing that she was better off spending her time training instead of watching movies. And she doesn't think that she's really been deprived as she knows the jist of it just from people's thoughts, but then again she supposes that actually seeing the whole thing rather than bits and pieces in someone else's head would be a different experience. "Oh, I'd like to see both of them!" she enthuses. She's hardly being held captive in the mansion - she's here by choice - but it's simply not wise for her to reveal herself outside of it where the wrong sort of people might find out that she's here. It's better to keep herself hidden, even though that means that she has less to do. Watching movies, however, is easily accomplished without being risky at all.
Though when Dick speaks up, Phoebe almost instantly gets serious for a moment - she has the rare talent for someone of her age to know when and how to be serious about something. And what glimpses she can get of what Dick's thinking about prompts a slight frown. "Maybe we should talk first, and then we can have fun?" she suggests, as she personally would rather get any serious work over with so that it's done and nobody has to worry about it while they're trying to enjoy themselves - that always spoils things. Then again, with Kory around she suspects that even a serious talk would be only so serious - when Kory asks, she instantly says, "Pink!" is her favorite color without having to think about it at all.

There was nearly nothing this little princess before them, could dampen Kory's spirits. if anything simply help lift them. After a little high five, a little overwhelming, but all with the essence of joy. It was after all spring…. Easter… Oooh, was that a hint… Blushing at her cheeks, with a hint of a smile… After the past winter… The cold. The frozen. Bad memories… With all the intentions and knowing good memories would come… When Koriand'r looked into Force's eyes. It was pure innocences, joyfulness and shear freedom. So much laid before her. So much life. Most of all so much acceptance and honesty. Not that a child couldn't process secrets, but somehow they'd let you know what's up. It was natural for a child to be careful, somehow Force seemed brighter than most stars Kory had seen.… The most thing of all… Kory could very much see a friend! Her smile broaden to hear Force so enthused by the chance of watching some movies…
"Wonderful choice… l can bring over a collection of movies, Mermaids, princesses, lions, elephants, you know the bases of any good story. Make a real day of it… Like, a slumber party. Paint nails. Braid hair. Tea party… Does Bruce have a sand box? When I was much younger, I used to love sitting on the beach, making sand castles…"
Whether that enquired a day or others in their wake. Kory was more than happy for such company. With so much expected and Kory most certainly put out a good fight against evil… There was always need for something a little more. We were always so much more… Expressed with her hands kindly in certain activities… That, yes even she could quite enjoy… Her eyes lingered upon Dick in regards to a tea party… Well, hope wasn't all lost. She smiled sweetly and amusingly… Curiously asked in regards to a sand box. Kory enlightened on a past memory making sand castles… Her voice cut short, the glow in her cheeks faded just a little, for something that was meant to be a good memory… The recent events that had change to it. When darkness had tried… Kory's eyes drifted. A hand naturally looped under and around Dick's arm. A half light smile as it still.. With all a good memory… Her own… Building castles. castles unseen on Earth. Peaceful… Hearing Dick speak up, jolted her attention with a more warmth back in her cheeks. Present! Even smiling more vividly with a innocent glance to him. He was probably right. Kory didn't elope in any more touching, apart from the hold at his arm. maybe hugged it a little.
"You're probably right… Not even a pinata?"
More surely as Dick was often right. He after all was leader for so long and a very good one at that. She breathed a happily smile to him, though if anything she had learnt from him… That sometimes… Just sometimes, people can surprise you. Fingers gently played at the hairs on his arm. Though, somethings weren't about changing… More accepting… Kory smiled as Dick began to talk business. There was always just that little difference in his voice, maybe it was tone, but still very much him. Kory enjoyed the serious look between his eyes he often got… The bits of aggression before the kettle over boiled… To put it lightly… He was admirable and most of the time he was sooth-able! Not that getting a little angry wasn't healthy every now and then… Kory expressed an added cute smile at the mentioning of her name and an innocent look of 'well duh'… She really wasn't that distracted. There was purpose to her question and it felt best to ask before the discussion begun.
"Force raises a valid point, Dick… I do have some finishing touches to do… Maybe we can take a seat for a moment… Ooh, pink! I think I have… Yes, I do! Perfect, just perfect…"
Kory said sincerely to Dick with a sweet nod and smile. Not that she would tell him what to do or not…. But as she put it. finishing touches to do. At the notion of pink being the chosen colour. Kory motioned for some two decent sized baskets and some bunny ears. Humbly going over to a couch nearby, taking a seat. Placing one of the baskets in her hand… Of course even whilst doing said touches, she was very open to helping with the discussion, if needed. She was quite open to the ideas, not that Kory was crossing her toes… Her hand motioned for some pink ribbons. Looping each on either side of the basket hand, making bows. Putting that basket aside. With the second basket. Blended purple and blue ribbons, forming bows either side of the basket. FInally taking a pair of fluffy ears. The others had been pre-sewed…. Pulling out some sparkly pink thread and needle. With a stead hand and quite a steady eye, began sewing letters onto the fluffy era. Not to be too surprised, Kory indeed for sew… Not maybe not a quilt, although one shouldn't put anything past her, when she had the intention to learn and soak up knowledge.

"That is all up to you. And I do prefer to get straight to the point," Dick replied.
He let the slight banter between the two go on. Kory was always good with kids. And she seemed to enjoy interacting with them. Seeing as there was so much on Earth she didn't know about. She seemed to find something new everyday. The simplest of things brought a smile to her face. Much like at the fairs.
And in Force's point of view, it probably was all new to her. Since she had been raised and trained to work not play.
"I'm interested in offering you the chance to join a small select group f vigilantes operating underground," Dick started.
He let it sink in for a moment. "I will only go into detail if you are at all interested in have a job to do. Of course it is nothing quite like your older work. It will at least give you the chance to interact with other crime fighters and to get you outside the Manor walls," he said.
