Jervis hummed to himself, He had been having such dark thoughts in his head for a while now, yes he admits he has fallen off the wagon and has been thirsting for ' Alice' lately. He had been brewing a plan in his mind on how to get 'Alice' here for tea, he missed her so much..he wondered how the precious little thing was doing without him.
He had sent out a private invitation to a familiar person who'd he'd figure would be very useful to him. Oh yes, Indeed very useful.... He'd be able to find Alice and bring her here for tea time. A wicked smile crept across Jervis' face as the thought of a tea party danced about in his head. Willing or not, Jervis would have help in getting Alice over for tea..... He'd make sure of that.
His fingers danced about the small flat metallic card he had been working on for awhile now, yes he managed to find the bits and pieces he needed to make his infamous mind controlling cards, this would be the fifth one he made today, he wasn't sure how many he'd need..After all a tea party could have more then one surprise guest. He would make sure that his guests...and Alice, would behave as they should.

Robert' s obsession didn't wane. It grew, like a weed. No matter how hard he pulled, it kept coming back. Tormenting him, yet at the same time intriguing him. His last formula had failed. Failed! How? He'd lost control, he had become a monster. All his research, for nothing. Useless! His hand swept across his desk in rage, throwing the stacks of paper into a flurry of white that drifted to the floor. A clatter followed, of wings against metal, and then a shriek. Robert looked up at the bat, resenting it, cursing it. Yet he did not strike out, his tongue clamped harshly between grinding teeth. How could he have failed, and so miserably? It had been so close, to close. He could have lost everything. He could have lost his humanity. At least, not everything was a total loss. The new formula had greatly enhanced strength, speed, and senses. If only the cost had not been so high.
Robert had been lucky. The effects had worn off on their own. It seemed, for now, everyone had abandoned him. Even the Batman had nit made his appearance, throwing other vigilantes in his place, in the danger spot. Had the man given up? Decided he wasn't worth it? Maybe he was right. Despite the danger, all the risks, Robert couldn't give it up. He would die with it, the creature that fed his thoughts. He would never give up. Why? The question nagged at him. Robert glared at the mess he had made, as I f it would fix things, and frowned as he saw it. The faint text upon a folded note. An invitation. Suddenly, he remembered. The Mad Hatter. The fool had contacted him, hoping to meet him. Apparently, the fool needed help with something, and was willing to offer a profit.
Though Robert cared little for the villain, he thought a reward would be valuable. Perhaps some cash? Something to use for his research? The man wouldn't have contacted him for any other reason, surely he knew Robert's interests? Something told him not to go, that the reward wouldn't be worth it. It was the Mad Hatter, after all. But still, he found himself soon on his way. Why? Perhaps it was curiosity. The only force that could drive him so strongly. When he reached the address, he didn't knock. Surely he would be expected? Robert entered, searching, until he found his host. He said nothing, letting his appearance speak for him. He was here, he didn't want to, but he was. And now he waited, for a greeting, a question, a command, even. Expecting the unexpected with the Hatter.

A few last tweaks and Jervis was done. He had noticed the arrival of his most ..well second most wanted guest. Wish a smile Jervis removed his goggles and glanced at Robert. He was glad the first piece of this game was here, now then..onward.
"Although we haven't crossed pats before dear fellow, I assume we know enough about each other for no formal introductions to be necessary...." Jervis voice flowed with that droll accent of his as he walked past Robert, cards in hand and set them upon the nearby table, away from his work bench that was littered in scrap pieces. He waved absently towards his living room," How about we uhm, get down to business...."

Yeah, Robert knew about him. He knew the man had an obsession, much like he did. He knew he was crazy. Another deranged villain of Gotham and normal patient of Arkham. But he wasn't in Arkham now. The Mad Hatter must have escaped, somehow, thought Robert could hardly picture such a thing, but then, looks could be deceiving. Robert nodded at his words. There was no need for introductions, many of the Gotham rogues knew his name, just as he knew the Hatter.
He looked curiously to the work area, wondering what the other man had been working so hard on. Probably some mind control device. That was what the Hatter did, wasn't it? He moved to the table and scowled. "Yes, you called me here. Now explain yourself." Robert snapped, impatient. He had a mess to clean up and it was depressing out. What Robert needed was a break. Some coffee, a nap. That seemed refreshing.
