For now, Phoebe simply sets her clean clothes to the side. She'll want them again - and soon, given that she does feel a bit awkward wearing Victor's shirt - but she's not about to interrupt a meal just to change back. Not when she's had so few good ones lately. She hasn't paused to wonder just how long she'd want to stay - perhaps until either she becomes uncomfortable with the situation or she finds something better. For the moment, however, she's perfectly content.
She merely grins when he talks about not being used to that particular compliment. But then, it wouldn't have been a delightfully fun thing for her to say if he'd expected it. And it's true besides. Though she has to giggle when he proceeds to try and start some small talk and then immediately asks Lupin if that was okay - his private comments to the wolf in his head aren't really that private. Then again, the definition of privacy around someone like Phoebe is just plain different.
"Yeah, that was okay," she replies, answering the intercepted thought first, though she thinks that he could have done better by asking her a question that she couldn't easily answer with one word. But she can tell that it was hard enough for him to say that much, so she throws him a bone by elaborating on it. "I'm tired, I have a little headache, and I'm still a little hungry," she replies, pausing there to take another bite of her slice of pizza as if to demonstrate that last point. "But I'm also not too cold, not too hot, clean, and not alone. So I'm happy," she continues when she's (mostly) finished chewing.

When Force replies to his mental question it takes a while for Victor to realize what she meant. 'Oh right you can read minds' He thought casually Which is something he wouldn't have done so casually before having met Lupin. He may have been skeptical by nature. But that doesn't mean he wouldn't believe something if it had been proven. Or in this case have it happen to him. He was still trying to get his mind around the whole floating clothes thing from a while ago.
When he hears her answer to his verbal question he simply stood and listened. He wasn't sure if he had anything for headaches, he had such a healing factor that he didn't really get any very often without something outwardly happening. The other two things could be fixed easily. She was free to go to sleep whenever she wanted. And it was clear the hungry part was being remedied. He felt abit less useless when she comments that she's happy. Ok so he was actually having an effect. "Well your free to stay as long as you'd like." He said kindly trying to think of something else to say. He then took another bite of the pizza he had in his hand and swallowed. 'Maybe I should get us something to drink.' He thought to no one in particular.

Phoebe can't help but burst out laughing when he remembers that she can read minds. He'll probably get used to her eventually, but she finds it hilarious that he keeps forgetting now even in spite of the fact that he ought to be very aware of that by now. Especially since he met her without seeing her first. But it's been her experience that people usually get over that. At least whenever she's been in one place long enough.
Sensing his thoughts about headache medicine, she comments, "I only have a headache because I'm tired. I always do when I get worn out. Maybe I should sleep when I'm done eating." Yeah, that sounds nice! Especially she's guessing he'll be able to give her somewhere soft to sleep, like a couch. Which would be a huge improvement over the cold, hard ground of the alleyway with only whatever she could find to protect her from the ground - usually come combination of old blankets and cardboard.
She goes back to her slice of pizza when she catches his thought about a drink, and since her mouth is full at that moment her comment is mental. Yes, a drink! Water is fine - I didn't realize how thirsty I was until you thought that, she comments enthusiastically. Probably better than the water from the drinking fountain in the park, too - that stuff was rather unpleasant even though it was the most convenient. She may have only been on the streets for a few months, but that's long enough to make everything here seem luxurious.

When Force starts laughing Victor finds himself grinning in amusement. Its funny that he forgot about her talent so quickly. Of course he remembered now. He'd have to keep that in mind. Eventually Lupin speaks up. 'Wait so she knows what I'm thinking too?' At that Victor laughs. "Can you?" He asked her. "Even I don't know what he's thinking." He said with a grin.
When she says that all she needs to cure her headache was a good nights rest he thinks about where he should offer for her to sleep at. He wasn't entirely sure if he should offer the couch or not. This was sorta new to him. 'You need to learn these things if your ever going to be with Kory.' Lupin said unexpectedly.
'Will you shush with that topic.' Victor replies. It was still something he was nervous about. He had met her a few times since their first meeting. But he was still got nervous about her though.
When he hears Force's mental voice tell him that she could go for some water he smiles. 'I'll get right to it.' He thinks as he gets two glasses down. He only had six glasses so he had to be careful with them. He then put a bite down on the slice of pizza he had so he could free up his hands and get the water. After he finishes getting the water he hands a glass to Force and then after she takes it removed the pizza from his mouth and took a drink. When he finished he looked at the pizza and saw his bite mark. It was off compared to most humans. Two teeth had sunk deeper into the slice then the rest. "It took me awhile to get used to that." He comments just to break the awkward feeling he was having at the situation.

Phoebe blinks when she considers that question, having never given the question much thought. "Um, not very well. Mostly just what he says to you, Victor," she replies, frowning to herself. Then her eyes light up in realization as she asks, "Lupin, maybe this is a dumb question, but... where is your head?" Because that just might be a part of the reason, if her guess is correct.
She laughs at what Victor and Lupin say to each other when Victor tries to decide where she should sleep. But since Phoebe doesn't care what the arrangements turn out to be, she keeps quiet and lets him ponder that one over by himself. Adding in her own two cents on the subject would only interrupt valuable pizza-eating time. She's getting close to the end of her third slice, and also the room in her belly. Of course, given how poorly she's been eating over the last while, it won't be long until he regains her appetite - she'll probably be ravenous by the time she wakes up.
But she pauses in her eating when Victor hands her the glass of water, and she proves her words about being thirsty correct by drinking it all down immediately. Wow, that feels sooo much better! But back to the pizza! Though as she takes her next bite Victor comments on his bite mark on his slice. Were she someone else, his words alone might have been confusing, but since she also knows the thoughts behind them it's easy.
"I didn't have to get used to anything," she comments once she's done chewing that mouthful, "I was born this way. Or close enough - as long as I can remember. Other people have to get used to me though." She understands that he's trying to make conversation and decides to see if she can't help him out with it.

When Force asks Lupin where his head is Victor notices a pause between what the mental wolf says. 'Well I had to adopt the general anatomy of my host, or in this case Victor.' He began. 'Just as he had adopt some of mine, hence the fangs and hair color.' He then paused for quite a length of time. 'So I would assume that my head is somewhere near his.' Lupin concluded.
When he finished Victor spoke up. 'You say that like its a bad thing.' He commented before turning his mind back to other topics. He guessed that maybe he should just let Force pick where she wants to sleep. Either way He needed to get a pillow and some covers out for her.
When she downs the glass of water he smiles. "You want another?" He asked. Even though he had a good idea of what the answer was going to be.
He then nodded as Force explained how she didn't have to get used to anything. He grinned with amusement as he thought back to the day he met Lupin. Sure most of it was a rather dark day for him... But that one point stood out as one of the most defining points in his life. "Well first thing I had to get used to was sharing my head with a talkative wolf, then the fact that he wasn't the only one of his kind." He chuckled abit at that. "The teeth weren't really a priority. Though explaining the overnight shifts in my appearance was hard at first. Now no one bothers about it."

Phoebe is actually rather surprised by the answer that she gets. "You mean you don't really know where your head is?" she asks, or at least that's what she gathers by the fact that he had to think so carefully about it, and the word 'assume'. That must be... odd. But she adds, "Well that makes sense then. I read people's thoughts from their heads, and it's easy to tell where Victor's is. Lupin's is who knows where so I only catch it sometimes, though since I'm reading Victor's mind I also get anything Lupin puts in there." Yep, makes perfect sense!
Though she isn't so caught up in that explanation that she misses Victor's thought about having her pick where she sleeps, so she comments, "I don't care where I sleep, and it's your house; you pick." She's reached the crust of the slice of pizza she's eating, but she's not one of those picky kids who won't eat it. In fact, she thinks that she might like the crust better because it's all fluffy and good... Though of course when he asks her if she wants more water she says, "Please!" She's not sure where more water will fit in her stomach right now, but she can stretch it a little more.
She smirks to herself when he talks about getting used to Lupin being in his head. "That would be different. At least when I want some peace and quiet I can just stop listening," she says with a grin. She has the good fortune of being the type of telepath it who has it off by default - if she wants to hear someone she has to listen, and if she doesn't try she hears nothing. She's met a few who had it the other way around - it was not listening that was the hard part. She would not like that, and she imagines that having someone permanently in your head would be kind of like that since they'd be able to talk to you even when you don't want them to.

He couldn't help but smile when he heard Lupin's explanation. As well as Force's response."Well if you ever find a way to read his thoughts let me know." he said. It was one of the things that still bothered him about Lupin. So far he hadn't found a way to hide his own thoughts from the wolf. Though it didn't seem like Lupin actually did much listening in on Victor's thoughts.
When he hears Force reply he is once again reminded that she can read minds. But at the moment he's thinking about where she could sleep. "Well the only place that isn't being used would be the couch." He said after considering all the options first.
Then when he finishes handing her another cup of water he nods. "Yeah there is that advantage to your talent." He added. After all he would give anything to know how to shut Lupin up at times. Or at least how he could get back at him.

"'kay," Phoebe replies with a grin. That would be an interesting challenge, reading the mind of someone who doesn't have a body of their own. Though she doesn't see what the big deal is about Lupin reading Victor's thoughts - it's not like he can then go tell everyone what Victor was thinking. Phoebe could, but she knows that's usually not acceptable behavior. Agent Stevens did a really good job making sure that she knew how to not be too obnoxious with her powers.
As for the couch, she simply says, "I'll sleep there then." She thinks that it's actually quite amusing that he had to think so hard about such a simple question. Then again, she did pass over answering it herself. But she has the excuse of being really tired, full of pizza, and having a small headache - not a good combination for thinking.
She's finishing off the last bite of her pizza when Victor hands her another glass of water, and she drinks it, though much more slowly than the first one. I can also talk with my mouth full, she comments while she's doing so. There's actually a bajillion small perks to her powers. And a bunch of terrible things about it, especially the ability to read minds. Given the content of most people's thoughts, that's definitely a double edged sword.

When Force replies to his request to telling him how to read Lupin's mind another thought dawned on him. "Better yet, if you could find out how I could get back at him would be nice too." He said with a grin. It was something he had been trying to find out for awhile. He had even done abit of research on it too. Though the sources weren't the most reliable out there. Seeing as he was having to look up werewolves and shamans. Another reason is that Victor knew that there were somethings Lupin still hadn't shared with him. His excuse was always something about 'needing to be ready' So Victor didn't even know if he was looking up the right topics.
When she says that she'll sleep on the couch Victor nodded abit. "Ok well that problem is solved." He said. Then he started thinking about where he could get an extra pillow and a set of covers. He knew where he stored his extra cover. But as for pillow..... Then he remembered where it was. In his closet right next to his Wulfen costume. He found himself thinking about where would be a better place for him to store it. Cause folded up in his closet probably isn't the best place.
Then when he hears her voice in his head he smiles. "Lucky." He said with a slight grin and playfully narrowing his eyes. "Lupin is the only one I can talk to with my mouth full." Then he chuckled slightly. "Worst part is I don't even know what he looks like.... Or at least not for sure." There were sometimes he saw something that no one else could see. And he assumed that seeing as it never did anything truly disruptive and was only trying its best that it was Lupin... Well that and the fact that it looked like a humanoid wolf like creature.

The thought of Victor wanting to get back at Lupin for reading his mind causes Phoebe to laugh a little. Yet she does have a suggestion. "Is there a kind of music that he really doesn't like?" she asks, "Because I always hate it when I'm listening to someone's thoughts and they have a stupid song stuck in their head. Makes me not want to be there. It can even be worse than listening to some crazy person thinking about killing people." While that may not help Victor get Lupin back in the same exact way, but it would help him even the score a bit more if Lupin is being obnoxious. An irritating enough song can be extremely effective that way.
She grins wide with a jokingly high amount of smugness at her superior ability to break so fundamental of a rule of etiquette with impunity. But she finishes her water and yawns. Yep, definitely sleepy now that she's full. She puts her cup on her plate and then uses her telekinesis to put both over by the sink - another perk, the ability to be helpful and lazy at the same time. "Well, Lupin is definitely a weird guy," she comments, "No offense, Lupin."
She stands, commenting, "Yep, definitely tired." She thinks that she'd be fine even without having him get her a pillow and extra covers, though that does sound nice. But if so, now's the time she needs them because she'd really like nothing more than to go collapse on the couch for several hours right now.

When she mentioned the idea of playing a form of music he didn't like his eyes widened and he pointed at her playfully. "You might be on to something there!" He grinned. Ok now the find out what form of music he didn't like was.......
He grins when she comments that Lupin is a weird guy. 'No offense taken.' Lupin replied softly. Victor crossed his arms and put up a mock air of protectiveness. "He may be a weird guy. But he's my weird guy." Victor said.
'Actually you two..... I'm a wolf.' Lupin said just as softly as before.
"Well then if you're ready to sleep go ahead and lay down I'll go get you some covers." He said putting her empty glass on the counter. He would clean that up later. He walked to the room and walked over to his closet and stopped the look at his costume. 'I should really find a better place for that.' He thought as he got ready to bring the bedding back to Force.

"Who says you can't be a wolf and a guy at the same time?" Phoebe asks with a small smile. She definitely pictures him as being more of a person than an animal, in any event. Perhaps because she can't see him and what she has been able to sense of his mind seems rather human-like instead of the unclear muddle of senses she gets from the minds of most animals.
When Victor tells her to go ahead and lay down, Phoebe says, "Okay," as she heads for the couch. For a moment she considers changing back into her clothes, if only because they're hers, but decides that she'll be more comfortable sleeping in Victor's shirt. Besides, this isn't like living on the streets where you need to worry about someone taking anything you put aside - they'll be there when she wakes up. Though she should really get some more if she's going to stay here for very long - what she has is wearing out and it would be nice at the very least to have something of her own to wear while the rest is being washed. But for that she'll need at least a little money - not much since she wouldn't mind used clothing and she's not picky - but she feels a bit awkward asking Victor for money on top of giving her a place to stay. She'd rather earn the money than just ask for it - but how could she do that?
Though once she reaches the couch, she curls up on it and decides that she can wait until she wakes up to worry about those questions. She's so tired that she's half asleep before Victor can get to her with the extra bedding.

When Victor returned with the bedding and saw Force half asleep he stopped and started to try and walk as quietly as he could. When he got over to the couch he looked at the bedding in his hands and looked back to Force.
'Just put the covers over her and the pillow under her head its not that hard.' Lupin said with a surprised tone. 'I was sure that you knew how to do this.' He added.
'I'm not a father like you.' He replied.
He then noticed that she appeared to be awake. Even if only just. "Hey here's a pillow for ya." He said softly and awkwardly as he gently placed the overs over her.

Her half-closed eyes open fully when he says that he has a pillow, and she takes it, tucking it underneath her head. Wow, that's comfy! She hasn't had a real pillow since leaving the FBI. She snuggles into it, sleepily saying, "Thanks, Victor."
Though it may surprise him that she's able to fall asleep so quickly, it's really only to be expected. She hasn't had a decent meal, water, and a safe and comfortable place to sleep for quite awhile now, though he wouldn't know that since she hasn't told him anything about where she came from. She's actually quite surprised that he hasn't tried to press her for any answers like so many of the other people that she's talked to. In fact it worries her just a little since it strikes her as so abnormal. Yet she also hasn't caught even the least bit of reluctance in Victor's thoughts about complying with her request that she be kept a secret, so she can rest securely for now.
