Some of them want to abuse you, Some of them want to be abused... The sky was dark, though not as dark as it should be. A veil of city light masked the stars, bleached by the pale moon. Despite the nightly appearance, Gotham was still busy. The roads were crowded and every now and then a brave pedestrian walked the sidewalks, likely heading home from work. Among one of those brave souls was a small teenage boy, walking swiftly with head tucked down as if to not attract attention. His clothes were casual. A black wool shirt and dark skinny jeans with plain, black shoes. He seemed to be clutching some sort of sharp object in his right hand. If one looked close enough they might have noticed the strange, out of place speck of red near the top of his jeans, but no one seemed to care. They may also notice that the boy's left cheek was bruised and his shirt slightly torn near the shoulder. If it had been any other color one might have noticed bits of blood upon it as well. The sharp object in his hand happened to be a knife, also strangely red, but the blade was pressed into the teen's pants in an attempt to conceal it. Black hair hung loose, hiding sapphire eyes narrowed as they scanned the sidewalk ahead. It seemed he was looking for something specific, but what he wanted was something totally random. It had taken a few more blocks, but he had finally spotted a desperate civilian hurrying along, a black case in his hand. Obviously heading home from work. A late meeting, perhaps? As the man drew closer, Scourge began to smile. He raised his head and offered the older man a wave, but he seemed to be in to much of a hurry to notice. Or perhaps...he was ignoring Scourge on purpose? Rage filled the teenage, boiling over. As the man past, Scourge struck out with his knife, throwing the surprised man back with a pained grunt as the rusted blade plunged into flesh. The man dropped as the knife slid free, holding the bloodied wound in his stomach with twitchy fingers and ragged gasps. Scourge kneeled beside him as people in their cars sped off in alarm, likely calling the police. A single tear slid down the teen's cheek as he imagined the man bleeding out on the ground as his mother and he averted his gaze with a choke of disgust, rising to his feet as the man went limp and cold. Scourge bolted, following the street with depressing thoughts. His mind was whirling now. When he had burried the knife within flesh Scourge had felt a pleasurable thrill, but seeing him lie bleeding had triggered such a heavy sorrow to be dropped upon the boy that he couldn't stand it. Why? It had never happened after a kill before. Scourge frowned, unable to lift the choking weight. He soon came to a bridge, wondering if the police were tracking him now. It was scarcely populated here, though still in the shadow of towering skyscrapers. It wasn't one of those bridges over water. Beneath this bridge was a slightly busy road. Ideal for relieving all that sorrow. Ideal for punishing himself for that man's sudden death. He came to the middle of the bride and stepped over the railing, staring down onto the hard black concrete he was about jump down to, pictures of his bloody, crushed body flashing in his head as tears fell from his eyes.

Wulfen was moving along the rooftops searching for anything that seemed out of place. He was moving across the skyline using this time to practice his limited skills in parkour. So far he seemed to be rather good at it.... Granted he was using simpler techniques.
He eventually came across an area that he could stop and rest at. He sat down and let his feet dangle off the side of the building. Then he leaned back and rested on his hands. He took a deep breath, letting the smells of the city waft through his nose. Then he sneezed.'Still smells awful'He thought.
He then looked closely at the bridge and saw someone standing on the edge of it. Looking as though he was about to jump. Wulfen got to his feet and made his way over to the bridge. He calmly approached the man then said. "Look what ever it is, its not worth this." He said calmly to the man hoping to open an avenue of communication so he could convince him not to jump. He couldn't shake the feeling he had met this man before.

Scourge didn't turn at the voice. His face was set straight, a stoic veil masking all but the tear stains that ran through the grime of his cheeks. With the newcomer stalking his back with vigilant eyes, Scourge refused to let a look of weakness cross his face. He had to be strong around this anonymous man, who's voice set off bells in Scourge's head as if they had met before. So far, he hadn't been sunk far enough in depression to lose control just yet, though he had been getting there. Probably would be there now, if this strange new man hadn't jerked the rusty gears that struggled to turn in his head back in action.
For some odd reason, it made Scourge feel angry. Angry that he had let this man jerk him up like a fish on a line. His sudden anger made Scourge turn to take in this new man's appearance, squeezing the knife in his hand until his knuckles turned white. The man in front of him was faintly familier, or perhaps Scourge was just reminded of a wolf at the zoo because this man was certainly dressed like one. Names like freak and mutt quickly came to mind.
"Who the hell are you?" His eyes settled upon the wolf man's face and hovered there with pupils shining. Scourge took a step forward, lifting his leg over the rail and brandishing his knife. His head swirled with sudden bloodlust as he continued forward, coming closer to better size his opponent up. Older, taller, possibly stronger, but likely not as flexible or fast.

Wulfen noticed the way the man reacted and felt that it was a mixed result. On one hand he got the man away from the edge, on the other hand the man had a knife and looked angry. Wulfen put his hand up in a calming gesture. "I'm Wulfen." He said. "You probably haven't heard of me."
He looked the man over trying to find out why he felt he had seen this person before. He also looked the man over. He noticed the he might have been an inch or two taller then this guy. Which Wulfen noticed was a rare occurrence for him. He also hoped that this man wouldn't get to violent. But he also had a strong feeling that things were about to get rough.
"Look I just don't think killing yourself is a good idea." He said. "Now if your base jumping there's a better spot a few block down."

Driven by sheer anger, Scourge lashed out, flinging his blade around in an arch and catching Wulfen's lower cheek, a thin line of red welling up from the shallow wound. Already the knife was arching around again, this time slashing out toward Wulfen's side with even more force then before. Scourge let his arm swing wild to gain more momentum behind the potential blow and took a step closer to be sure this gash, if it struck, was far deeper then the first. Scourge said nothing, his eyes narrowed into furious slits as he swung at his opponent. He had no reason to say anything, all he had to do was express his feelings enough to get the other man to understand that next time he stopped a man from leapingnto his doom would likely mean his own death.

Wulfen staggered back abit when the blade struck his cheek. He hadn't expected this to happen. He knew something was going to happen when he saw the knife. But he didn't really expect this guy to attack the way he did.
Wulfen wiped the spot the blade had hit and saw a small amount of blood on his fingers. He didn't enjoy the sight of his own blood being on his fingers instead of where it should be. He looked up and saw the blade coming back and reacted.
He reached up and and slammed his forearm into the man's wrist and then brought his right hand in towards his chest and then thrusted it out slamming it hard into the man's solar plexus knocking the wind out of him. And hoping that would get the man to back off.

Scourge reacted with a mixture of surprise and sudden sorrow as a fist slammed painfully into his wrist, knocking the bloodied knife from his grasp and sending it clattering to the concrete. A second fist slammed into his gut, throwing him backwards off his feet. Unable to catch his balance, Scourge fell to his back on the concrete with a muffled thump and gave a pained groan, rolling to his side to duck into a ball so he coukd clutch his stomach with loose arms, the faintest trace of tears reaching his eyes. "Why would you do that?" He questioned, suddenly confused as his mind tried to process the pain that made him pant for breath. After a few moments, the pain faded as Scourge accepted what had happened and slipped into an ominous silence, eyes shut to display only darkness within the teen's mind.

Wulfen looked at the teen and shook his head. "I fought back in defense." He said calmly. "And I'll do it again if need be." He added.
He looked the teen over and sighed. "Look I didn't do any permanent damage.... Unless your one of those super prideful guys. Then I damaged your pride." He said. "Now if you promise not to attack me again and not to jump off this bridge then I'm sure the rest of this meeting will go over well." He finished. It helped that his day job was a teacher. He knew how to talk to people who were somewhat unpredictable.

"I wouldn't be too sure of that," a grim voice said from the ledge on the opposite side of them.
Jumping off it and closing a bit of the distance between the three of them, Nightwing landed and regained his height as he stood a few feet away from them.
"The police are after this kid," Nightwing said. He did not disclose any more detail on the why and the how he had tracked them. But he was there now.
There to see that this boy was brought to justice after what he had been discovered to have done. Nightwing had picked up on the police radio wave what they had found. And an eye witness seeing s kid fitting this one's description flee the seen.

Wulfen turned to see who was talking. He felt a slight grin cross his lips when he saw who it was. "Well its nice to see you again." He said. Then he looked back at the teen. "So what did he do?" Then he remembered the attack. "I know he wasn't the best guy but still. Should I be worried?"
He had to think about what was going on. He didn't want to get caught in a fight with someone that was going to put things to far over his head. He simply crossed his arms and looked at his feet then he changed his stance where he had the kid on his left, and Nightwing on his right. He looked from one to the other waiting for what happened next.

"We can catch up later," Nightwing spoke seriously.
"The kid is wanted for murder," Nightwing said. He wasn't happy about this. And sometime wondered how someone that young could do such a heinous act.
He looked over at the teen laying there. "Ok, I have a feeling he kid isn't just scared of you....What happened here," he asked. He noticed the blood on Wulfen's face and the kid less than willing to fight at that time.

Wulfen nodded towards Nightwing then looked at the kid with his eyebrows raised behind his mask. So this kid killed someone? He could see this kid attacking someone but he was still somewhat shocked when he heard this kid had committed murder.
He looked at Nightwing then back at the teen. "Well he attacked me and I defended myself." Wulfen looked at the knife on the ground. "I hit him kinda hard but it wasn't a fatal blow. I know enough of human anatomy to know that much."

Scourge gave a slight moan as he raised his head to settle his gaze upon Nightwing, blue eyes narrowing at the sight. Once again anger boiled within the teen, but he had slipped to far into darkness to leap up at it's sudden feeling. Instead, he simply let it steam, put off by the cool water of acceptance that he simply wasn't strong enough to beat these other, bigger men. He lowered his head without a sound and let a tear slip past his now closed eyelid, awaiting whatever dreadful fate life had for him.

Wulfen looked at the teen. He didn't quite know what to think about what he had just learned. He thought it was strange looking at this kid and hearing that he had killed someone. Sure he had just attacked Wulfen.... But that didn't mean he was a killer. After all he could understand who someone would attack a werewolf. He also noticed a tear slip out of the kids eye.
He looked back at Nightwing. "Are you sure it was him?" He asked Nightwing.

"I'm positive on that. There is evidence at the crime scenes and an eye witness which he fits the description," Nightwing replied.
"The evidence is all there. The police have a file on him," Nightwing continued.
He looked at the boy. It may be hard to believe. But even the most innocent could be the most deadly. He learned that from past experience. You could never underestimate someone.
