Ok, so it was a dark and old abandoned warehouse. Of course it would be. Where else did the criminals in Gotham had their gangs meet up when they had a chance? Sparrow had known of a meet up at some point with the Joker gang. It was the simplest way to get everyone together if they had time enough to drop by.
It was just one of the many locations in which the Joker had on the list for places of running into each other. The old circus was some trip away and Brook did not really want to waste her time. She had other things to do that night.
But there was work from some of the Joker's henchmen that there was another addition to the team. She wondered who it had been and hence the reason for her being at the old warehouse at that time.
She wasn't sure what to expect, but if it had anything to do with the Joker she was sure it was probably going to be something weird. But she would stay and wait to find out.
She had given word that she would be there around 1:30am and not be staying long. In fact, she had been there all but five minutes and was ready to soon head out and carry on with her night. But there stood Sparrow in wait for the time. Brook still wasn't all that sure what she had gotten herself into with joining this gang at times.

It was dark, barely any light found its way into the old warehouse. Outside, frigid winds tore through the city and angry clouds blotted out the sky. But it wasn't the dark that was so frightening, it was what it concealed, an insane, bloodthirsty monster eager to rend his opponents of flesh and bone, to steal their souls and ravage their hopes. It was a common mistake, people fearing the dark rather then what lies within. A mistake Scourge never understood.
To him, darkness was a blessing. It concealed those wishing not to be seen, such as himself, and helped intimidate foes that were a bit on the tough side. It helped conceal dangerous traps and stolen loot. The thing people like to forget is, no matter what, you can never get rid of the dark, even in light. Without light, there is only shadow, when at the same time, it is light that creates the shadow. He wondered if this ever crossed the petty minds of simple civilians, a.d figured it was possible, though he mostly considered the common mob as sheep waiting for a shepard.
Smiling, as he had been watching Sparrow for some time, he stepped clear of the shadows. He woo.rededicate if she had known he was there, some people know when their being watched, he certainly does. Perhaps it was gift, but whatever it was, he had it.
"Hello sweetheart." He called out in a delightful tone, coating his sly words with sweet honey. He simply couldn't wait for her reaction. Would she be furious, or annoyied? Frightened even? Violated? His jaw twitched and he fell into the tight grip of irratic laughter, that soon died down to a malicious snickers, cruel and hard.

Brook turned and glared at the intruder. She wasn't sure what he wanted. The Joker had failed to tell her of any new changes to any plans lately.
She could tell by that ridiculous look on his face that he had been watching the whole time. Like she hadn't noticed. He may look like his mind was not filled with any brilliant ideas, but there was still a trace of thought in it. And she had picked up on that.
This is where a meta come to place over a human. They may think they have the upper hand, but she had the ability to lead them to believe that. Though he wouldn't know of her powers. She wouldn't have told him.
"I thought there was a rat crawling around here," she said. Not letting it out that her powers had picked up on minds activity. She wasn't interested in reading his mind. She'd actively use her powers if he tried anything.
"I'll give you two minutes to explain what you're doing here before you'll regret have been following me," she threatened him, though kept her cool. She knew how to handle a situation and it was the get straight to the point and don't waste my time.

Scourge snickered casually, unafraid. If he could outwit Big Blue, he had no fear of a girl. But young, handsome Scourge wasn't the type to judge a book by its cover. No, he preferred to judge by whatever he could find on the inside, and he had many ways of doing so. Her sharp tone brought him out of his dark thoughts and he smiled again, pushing back his hood.
"I don't think Daddy J would like it if you hurt his precious Scourge." The boy grinned, flashing his claws casually as he took several unconcerned steps toward her. "He doesn't like people screwin with his stuff. Names Scourge, if you haven't heard it, but I'd be quite surprised if you actually haven't. The guy wglho blew the train station? Anyways, you are obviously Sparrow. The one who bombed the university, was it? Strange, I'm yet to see Harley, but what the heck, only thing she's good at is getting kicked out." He spoke in reply, his words smooth and guile.
"Luckily, that will never happen to us. I'm just to lovable and you, well, your just to beautiful." He said delightfully.

"Scourge, hum....Name doesn't ring a bell," Brook commented in reply to his trying to introduce himself. So he worked for Joker as well. Great, it wasn't bad enough running into the jester lady when she had first met the Joker. Like Sparrow was interested in someone like the Joker.
And by the looks of it, this guy was trying to pull off the Joker act with his attitude and his laughter. In shorter term...Sparrow was not impressed.
"Well I don't exactly know what "Daddy J's" plans are, but if you're apart of them, I'm sure your not the brains of the operation," Brook commented sarcastically with the guy calling the Joker by a nickname like that. Final deduction, the guy was definitely crazy.
She crossed her arms and leaned more to her right. Was this guy serious? Would he honestly expect her to care that he had taken down a train station. She had seen worse. In fact a lot worse considering when she ran with the gangs that saw alien crooks take on Superman. Gotham was definitely a different ball game compared to Metropolis.

"The brains? Ha! I have more sanity left then Joker ever had in his entire life!" Scourge laughed. "And I'm crazy." He added in a lower tone, eyes gleaming. The insult didn't bother him, but then again, what insult did? None, as far as he was concerned. There were many differances between young Scourge and the Joker.
For one, he was smarter in tactics, even if his plans didn't involve the whole of Gotham. He also didn't wear clown makeup, and while he certainly doesn't need the money, he wont burn it. Especially if his half was on the bottom. Just another thing Joker didn't think all the way through. Another thing is that Scourge is way more athletic, but not known to hold up against the Bat, his young apprentice on the other hand...oh yes, but he did manage to outwit Superman about a year ago. Funny how stupid people really are. Especially when your hiding in plain sight, along with a giant kriptonite bomb.
Guess people just don't look up anymore. Oh well, that was their own death, not his. "There's something differant about you." Scourge said thoughtfully, sensing a rather unique disturbance that made the hair on the back of his neck stand up. He was always able to sense strangebthings, or when something bad was about to happen, but a lot of people could, he was sure. He considered it more a gift then a power. For a moment, he studied her eyes, trying to discern what was differant. She certainly wasn't normal. Sadly, he had no gift that would pick it out, only warning flares that she was no ordinary person.

"That's saying very little for what is left of the sanity within the group. I've met Harley and her idea is that I'm a threat to her," Brook spoke as she rolled her eyes remember the glares the jester lady had been sending her. Like she would ever be interested in the Joker.
Sure his mind was twisted and interesting. But to ever want to be with the guy? Please. The Joker was always set on his plots. And it was the cat and mouse game kind of life he enjoyed. That and the guy was creepy to begin with.
The day she would be interested in trying to steal the Joker from Harley, would be the day she lost her mind. She wasn't about to challenge the woman over anything. Harley didn't seem to like the idea of Sparrow even being in the gang to begin with.
"Ya think? It's not every one that goes running around in some type of costume at night to either fight crime or start it...Oh wait, actually it is. At least in Gotham it is," she replied to his comment.
She looked over at Scourge, not exactly sure what to think of him. He was a mad man and he has crawls. The cat theme was already taken in that city. And the bat thing was way too over populated at this time. Sure there were birds out there. But Scourge, looked like a crazy man in ways. At least he didn't try to pull off the clown look.
"So I'm assuming you have heard of the campus feasco either from the Joker saying about it or just word on the street," she asked him. It had been the Joker's plan. She had just been the distraction for it.

"Oh please, I'm more likely to steal Joker then you ever will be...tenfold." He grinned wickedly and flexed his claws, eyes shining with wild beastality. He was completely serious with what he said. If Joker flirted with Bat, then that made him an option.. a legit option. Fair game for a predator such as himself.
Her explanation didn't satisfy him at all. A bunch of weird'os didn't set his senses off like this. The only people that ever caused such a strong feeling of power to rush through him was Hawkgirl and Superman, and that little Force girl. But he didn't press it. Didn't care to. Scourge tends to loose interest in things rather fast, unlike the Joker.
"No, I don't believe I have, I'm rather new. Care to explain sweetheart?"
